Physical Description: Dipsi might only be small. Barley breaking the 5ft mark but she's powerful with a typical long and lean musculture so familiar with swimmers. Unfortunately that doesn't leave her much in the way of curves with only a minimal pear shape of slightly wider hips. Her face is a mess of freckles over skin that always has a permeant dark tan. Her hair rides the middle of the brown /blonde spectrum. It might have once been mousy but has been bleached by the sun to reflect more golden hues.
Personality: Dipsi is...a lot. She is full of energy and laughter but has little too no concept of personal space. She also seems quite determined to make everyone her friend with a fierce persistence that can be maddening and a habit of being ignorant of 'go away' social cues or choosing to ignore them. She can get herself in trouble because of it. However this also makes her willing to befriend the more socially inept and pull them into her friend circle. Like it or not. She hates seeing anyone left out or alone.
This is not to say Dipsi is happy all the time. In fact many have accused her of being over emotional. She is a bleeding heart for all living creatures and not afraid to show it. That poor crab is missing a leg? Better cry about it for a good half hour. What if the others pick in him!? As such she tends to limit her own diet somewhat to mainly fruit and sea food and is one of the ones that struggles to butcher meat or anything with a face.
Dipsi also loves a cause. And she is fully behind western weyr ideas for more equality among dragon riders. This also gives her a bad habit of dismissing other a points of view out of hand. She still loves you. You just have to know you are wrong. When she can be so passionately invested in her ideals it is one of the few times she will show real anger and fire. And if she is not careful can be dragged into acts of protest that go over the line.
Dipsi adores the sea and is a frequent beach comber in her free time. Filling her weyr with all manner of shells. Shiny peddles and interesting bits of drift wood. She also has a wild artistic streak and loves painting and sketching everything around her while using a number of unusual materials to bring them to life. One of her favourite subjects being the human form and n***s. The girl has no modesty and if given the option would quite happily lie on the beach naked all day sunning herself and swimming in the ocean. As the weyr has many candidates from somewhat more conservative backgrounds she has had to be more careful about this habit but she still indulges when she thinks she can get away with it or if she finds a secluded beach. It is not in anyway sexual but a freedom of expression for her and a way to feel nature caress every inch of skin.
Because Dipsi is a true born naturalist in a number of ways she is also quite capable and reliable out in the world. She can catch and cook her own food. Build a fire or make shift shelter out of available materials and even make a simple net out of plant fibers. And though she is always happy to have company she if also satisfied with her own company and an open sky.

History: Dipsi was raised in a small costal cot hold that was always considered fairly poor though thanks to the seas bounty they had no trouble feeding themselves.
Most of the cot hold children learned to dive and swim before they could walk and domphineer was a common craft for them to pursue.
Dipsi's family was large and included uncles aunts and cousins all joining the daily tasks. Though a few were picked up by journeyman for crafts most of the family lived their entire lives in the community . Dipsi had every intention of doing the same until the day one of her cousins was searched from his craft hall. Though she had dreamed of being a dragon rider like most of perns children she had never seen it as a realistic objective. But suddenly someone so close to her had made that dream a reality and suddenly it seemed attainable. When her cousin returned to their home to show off his new dragon he was the center of attention and awe. His dragon was a shining blue beast and while they were there they picked out two other children as candidates.
Dipsi was one of them.
