Pehmeä was tired. It was the end of a long day, and in an effort to get out and about she’d made a trip to hunt. But, being no good with her claws or teeth, that attempt yielded nothing. She was annoyed with herself, but she’d been living for so many years as a non-physically productive member of the pride, it was like second nature to her. Despite having come into her own a few years back when she attained her Lawspeakership, she still found herself disappointed in her own inadequacies.
Stalking back toward the dens, the deep gray and white lioness let her maw split in two in a big yawn, another remnant of her exhaustion. For some reason, Pehmeä had the inkling that she wasn’t going to get to rest any time soon. But she was very much a go-with-the-flow type of lion, and she didn’t mind that one bit. Some of the Lawspeakers could be rather rigid, but she found that the parameters of her job meant that she was often derailed by others seeking her assistance in various matters. Therefore, it was much better to be flexible than set in one’s own ways. But hey, she was still on the young side of things - she certainly had time to get older and less tolerant of others.
Nearing the dens, Pehmeä had a look around only to do a double take. Standing in the den area, she spotted a lion she’d only seen a pawful of times before, but each time had struck something in her. With her monochromatic fur, she often admired the coats of others who held more interesting colors and patterns. And this gentleman was much the same - forget his coat, his mane was a glorious and deep violet that was absolutely captivating.
Maybe she didn’t want sleep after all.

Zigoga was having a bit of trouble, it seemed. He'd recently joined the Stormborn as a means to hide away from the rest of the world, his family, and danger but he'd not completely settled in yet. There was a camaraderie here with the braid-bearing lions that he was having trouble assimilating to despite their welcoming and overall jovial tones. They were - as far as he could tell - quite fond of fighting and finding treasure which was all well and good, but lots of them seemed to make friends by sparring or testing each other's strength in other ways. Zigoga had no desire to do that and he hoped his duel to get into the pride was the last time he'd ever need to fight.
