Rules
Do not enter if you have already purchased or have had a staffer purchase a member of this herd helper for you already.
Being a Herd Helper, these do NOT have to be related to each other -- if you want them related to one another one, you must plot it out with the owner of the other one after winning.
This is a herd helper for The Flock, so your characters MUST stay in The Flock. Whether or not they were born to The Flock, heard about it and Joined, or wandered too close and got taken in for their own protection is up to you! If you don't wish to be a part of the Flock, this contest may not be the place for you.
I will be picking at least Two of my favorite submissions to win, and a Maximum of Three. After the contest winners are picked, I will roll from the list of all submissions to get the remaining owners by Random. Being a Contest/raffle, these have no cooldown!
Other staffers are welcome to roll and purchase other winners, or even CC individuals. If they they pick by their favorite character concept or roll, it'll still be a freebie, but if they are just purchasing cause they like you or like the colors, you'll have to take a custom cooldown for it.

Short Blurb on Character personality: Occasum has always been a bit insecure, feeling that he didn't measure up to the other males within the Flock. Although he's a very sweet male, he felt his talent in dancing and singing lacked in comparison to the others, and he eventually became very quiet and shy. While he watched and listened to the other colts he grew up with discuss being Whistle Stallions, Artisans, or Performers, he always felt pulled toward something else. Of what, he was unsure. Upon his first visit to the Cooking Guild, Occasum was immediately smitten with it. Art you can eat! The smells! The feeling of belonging and a new-found inspiration brought him endless happiness. When he's in the Cooking Guild, he feels that nothing is impossible, and finds immense satisfaction in providing food for the Flock. His newest venture has been in the Brewing Guild, hoping to experiment with various flavors and brewing techniques, and perhaps using these to create new and exciting foods.

Short Blurb on Character personality:
xxxxx As a youngling, Keisha’ra developed into a sort of mimic. He started to bounce personalities and traits from others to figure out his own unique personality. That caused a bit of confusion in the stallion. He has found out who he is though. He is a charmer, knowing just what to say in order to appease those around him. He is outgoing, and tends to ramble on. He has learned to read body language. He knows when it is best to stop and part ways with those around him.
xxxxx Keisha’ra has always had a very inventive imagination. He can weave a story out of nowhere. He reads the people he’s speaking to, and weaves the story however he thinks they will enjoy it. Foals usually get tales of magic and adventure. Mourning Sisters get soft spoken, sweet words of hope. In the heat of a party, he tells stories of passion and love. It is easily one of his greatest traits. His companion, Danica, often times will aid in how it is spoken. She will fly around adding effects of noises and breezes. He loves her more than the moon itself for her help. He uses his hands on his wings to help draw pictures in dirt and enhance the stories even farther.
xxxxx Foals are his favorite to tell stories to; as they get so invested. He has a rather big ego, and anyone willing to stroke it just joins in his favoritism. He will go visit the Nursery Nests and entertain the little ones. His passion to make children happy has always made him want children of his own; though he is rather particular on those that he wishes to lay with. He needs to have some form of connection with them. Without it, he will wander away and ignore the proposition all together.
xxxxx He wants to learn music to enhance his stories. Anything that could bring a bit more magic to his words. Keisha’ra has always wanted to do everything perfectly, even if it means staying up all hours of the night in order to master a new talent.
xxxxx The stallion isn’t all perfection. He does have quite the jealous streak, and finds that if people interrupt and steal his story, that pang in his chest strengthens. It often causes him to puff his feathers and snap at the culprit. He is trying hard to reign in his jealousy, and realize that it isn’t always about him and his stories. He is very apologetic right after his little fit. It is one of the things he is working hardest to resolve.

Short Blurb on Character personality: Ghanysess is no one’s fool. He keeps a prudent head about him at all times, no matter the situation. So when he came across a herd where the stallions were well cared for, it didn’t take much thinking to realize it would be a good fit for him. It doesn’t really bother him that he won’t be able to leave certain areas without an escort.
This is a stallion who has no problem with his self-image. He has no doubt he’s desirable to the opposite gender. Ghanysess will flirt at the drop of a feather and sometimes he doesn’t even need that. No matter how many ladies he might be with, he is honorable and would never reveal a lady’s secrets.
Ghanysess is a terrible procrastinator. He always means to do it sooner rather than later, but it always gets put off. It also comes from him being complacent. He’s satisfied with his lot in life and where he’s at, so there’s not much to motivate him to change.

Short Blurb on Character personality: Temel was born and raised in the flock and wouldn't have had it any other way if he had been given a different lot in life. He has grown to adore the many pleasures the Flock offers, partaking in the joy that the food, craftsmen, and members alike can provide. Temel has always had an interest in satisfying the pleasure of others and making sure they're having the best of times while in his presence, and has set himself in the whistler stallion's numbers, more than happy to offer his services for a few shiny items that he can further decorate himself with. His vanity keeps him preening and grooming, making sure to never have a feather or strand of mane out of place, and his "hands" give him the power to do so with the precision he so desires. Temel is more than happy to help other members of the Flock with grooming, and will offer his styling skills to anyone who so desires a more intricate hairstyle, whether it be for an everyday occasion to something more of a special event. Temel will gladly make any beauty all the more beautiful with his talents, and shower them in words of praise and encouragement while he tends to them. He's a big believer in beauty that comes in many forms, and will do everything he can to enhance and draw attention to the features or qualities that will give those to whom he offers his styling skills the biggest boost to their confidence and natural beauty.
Though Temel is a relatively active whistler, and has little interest in not being available to anyone who should desire his company, he likes to spend his downtime experimenting with new brews and beverages. He has a preference for fermented beverages, particularly the kind made from sweet fruits and berries, and will happily make himself at home in the halls of the brewing guild. It would be just as easy for Temel to simply enjoy the fruits of others' labor, but Temel has never been one to sit idly by when he could be doing something himself. He like to involve himself in the things he loves, and that applies to the tasks that could be considered work (though Temel will never consider it as such, for he has too much fun doing it and work is typically ascribed as being boring). He spends his time brewing beverages that have just the right amount of kick to them, easy to drink, but still pleasantly touched with alcohol. Temel is more than happy to share his brew with the Flock, letting those that spend their days trading and selling to other Flock members to sell whatever excess there is of what he makes. He'd much rather share his beverages to impress and share with whoever has caught his eye.
Wherever he is, and whatever he's doing, Temel is a stallion content to enjoy the pleasures of life in whatever way he so chooses. He wants his partners to feel the way he does about life, and will take however much time it takes to give them even a taste of the life he enjoys. He's content with his position as a Whistler Stallion and part-time brewer, though he may one day become more dedicated to his Whistler Stallion profession and contemplate becoming a Sacred Sire. To Temel, Sacred Sirehood would be a way to share his idea on life and its pleasures with the stallions of the Flock, all while helping the Flock grow and thrive.

Gossamer has always been generous with his time, with everyone, he has a very stable background, however he is also a sneaky and snooping type, never one to pass up a chance to gossip with other stallions, and even the odd mare. He can be mean when he's been crossed, causing trouble between certain stallions and the mares that favor them. He's quite morally ambiguous, and often his generosity is more self-serving.
Much to his dismay, an incident in his childhood has caused him to have an extreme phobia of chickens. While these can be useful familiars for some, he is utterly terrified of them. This is his horrifying secret, and anyone who finds out soon finds themselves on the wrong end of his mean streak.

Short Blurb on Character personality: While he may initially seem like a flirt, Agate is gauging a potential partner's interest in him. If they can stand his flirting, they might stick around long enough to get to know him. If they do stick around, they can find out that Agate enjoys singing to and with birds, he has a love of gemstones and even mundane stones, and the things that can be made from them. He loves, too, the things one can make with the shed feathers of birds, the artistic expressions when working them together with beads of bone and stone, woven into shawls or worked into necklaces, earrings, and headdresses.
One thing makes Agate sad, and it's that he can no longer explore the world beyond the borders of the Flock's lands. After wandering by, he found himself ushered in, told he was being kept safe. But from what? Perhaps jilted exes? Agate's pretty sure he's not THAT bad at survival, he made it this far, right? On the plus side, there's ample horses for him to get to know as potential mates!

Born blind, one wouldn't have expected Themis to be the 'master' hunter that he is. A life filled with the constant necessity to adapt or die resulted in a tenacious and otherwise resourceful individual. Given the necessity to step carefully through life as he grew up, Themis is one who believes strongly in 'process', there is an order to do things in and it should be followed. If there are procedures in place, a custom here or there, then it is there for good reason. Patience is his most recognisable virtue.
Beauty is a strange concept to him, one that he doesn't entirely understand in the general sense. As beauty is often 'skin deep' upon first meeting he hasn't experienced the pleasure of being quite so judgemental. He is reliably honest, preferring to be frank rather than mince words. Consequently he can be known to cause offence as he is not inclined to compliment the vain.
He can be considered functional when using his claws and will respond well to constructive criticism and direction of something is below standard, though for one with his limitations his otherwise reasonable work is relatively impressive. Acknowledging he's not an artisan, he would accept he is more suited to good conversation and even the provision of advice, particularly to those struggling to overcome mental or physical obstacles (whether permanent or temporary is irrelevant)... But his real talent lies in song. Catch him showering under a waterfall and you'll hear something quite special, alas, query him on this and the stallion is likely to be sheepish and embarrassed.
Modest towards his own talents, he can be persuaded to entertain, but an element of diplomacy and reassurance can be required. He's most likely to acquiesce if the individual asking is genuine in their curiosity and he isn't subject to prank or scrutiny.
Note that he's particularly bad at receiving compliments and may ignore them or stutter upon receipt. He needs to be reminded that sometimes a simple 'thank you' is all that's required!

Short Blurb on Character personality: A young stallion with magpie-ish tendencies, Bright Raven was born in the outlands and injured early in life. In the accident, he was deafened and subsequently abandoned by his parents, but thankfully taken in by a wandering scout for the Flock. However, these circumstances have not darkened Bright Raven's cheerful personality. Gently engaging to his herdmates, he communicates largely through body and sign language as well as with the help of his interpreter bird Ghost. Though he was long ago trained with a flute and can still play well, he has largely switched his musical interests to dance and percussive instruments as he can better experience the music they produce.
When not playing the drums, he is happy to train with the dancers or spend time with friends. Those closest to him have learned how to interpret his sign language, and know to speak slightly slower so he can read their mouth movements. They may also allow him to lean on or touch them if Ghost is not around, so he can feel them speak and interpret their words that way. If someone is not familiar with him though, they can rely on Ghost for translation. (Ghost and Bright can communicate through tapping or touch-based language like a personal form of Morse code.)
Bright is capable of being attracted to anyone, regardless of gender. He's a happy flirt and entertainer among the herd, and is very social with the various artisans in search of a specific art form to help him express himself outside of music. However, when on a stage or at the drums, he is fully in his element and able to perform with the best of them. A magpie collector of sorts, it is not uncommon for him to pick up stray beads, trinkets, feathers and the like from those he considers a friend or a lover. They're collected for the fact that they're associated with someone he holds dear, and may turn up in unexpected places or circumstances.

His heart is for the stage and the pageantry involved. His creative mind for the flowing garments, the spotlights, the staged combat, the regaling of tales, but most importantly the hard-won applause of his betters. The more energetic and dramatic the piece, the more he falls in love with it and puts his all into it. Although he can be a bit…distracted by other hobbies and events, rest assured he never wanders far from his one true passion in life.
Over the years, he's worked to perfect his unique style and signature. Countless hours have been spent creating designs, shaping increasingly difficult sets, and honing his acting and combat skills until his concepts are perfectly visualized and captured.
