Idessa changed into the town dress. It was pink with a flower pattern. She also found white stockings and pink boots to go with it. She did not take off the pearls she was wearing. She reasoned that if the ones she planned to sell didn't get a good enough price, she could sell some of the others too.

"See you later, Granis!" Idessa kissed him on the cheek and smiled.

They went to the jewel shop. Idessa took out the blue pearls. They were all perfectly round and of varying sizes. They were all a matching shade, a very light blue, almost white. She wondered how much she would get for them. She was glad to have Shandris with her, to make sure the trade was fair.

She took the money and put it in the small pouch where she had carried the pearls. "Thank you!" She said, and left the store with Shandris. "Where should we go next?" She asked.
