Bryndis sat back on her haunches, panting, her braid messy and her loose hair tousled. I'll probably need to get that replaited, she thought as she absently used a paw to clear the crimson locks from her face. She stared intently at the large rock she had been using for combat practice, her stomach heaving with each breath. Probably not the best sparring opponent considering enemies generally, you know, moved, but it worked in a pinch when no one else was available - or when one didn't want social interaction.

In this case, the former was true. Bryndis had been unable to find someone suitable to spar with on this lovely grey morning. She was searching for a light practice duel, so she needed someone who was likewise uninterested in a full-on bout. As she caught her breath, she spotted the flame-accented Tulka headed her way. Being that the two of them were currently striving to climb the ranks among the Stormborn, Bryndis was acquainted with Tulka. Though they may not yet be friends, she liked the soot-pelted male well and thought he'd make a good partner.

"It's a good morning to die, Tulka," she greeted him once the larger Freeborn was within earshot of a normal speaking volume. "By any chance were you brought out here by a desire to spar?"
