Starting to feel the effects of his outraging, Daphnes began to calm. It was shortly after when he'd regained his breath that an attack swooped in and seemed to be the final straw to break the Camerupt's back. A blast of darkness wafted over the team before it vanished just as quickly as it had appeared, at it's center a fallen Darkrai. The fiend's words made Daphnes narrow his eyes. He spoke as if this was his domain the entire time, as if he hadn't been the one to invade it and twist it into what it was. Though considering something he hadn't before... had those floors simply been the dreamed up world of the 'guardians' they'd beat up? Was that why they hadn't attacked back.... Dear, Arceus! They were innocents! What a fool he'd been! If this was the case, Daphnes felt beside himself with worry... "That was what he meant by calling us false knights." The dragon let out a heavy sigh, looking to Mogwai, Chickpea, Dune as well as the Natu and Charmander who'd also joined their team. "I feel rather terrible about this whole ordeal, and while I would love to stick around with all of you... I feel Temperance may need me to wake up. I want to learn more on knighthood. So I look forward to meeting you all again someday."

Radium tumbled back when the heavy wave of darkness was summoned, finding herself on her back with her stick nearby it's light barely staying lit in the darkness. When it all went up in smoke the tiny mouse made her way back up to her feet, reclaiming her stick. She listened to Darkrai's words.... finding herself confused on what he was saying. But the short of it was they could wake up now.... they could return to their trainers. But first, Radium wanted to check on all her new friends! They'd gotten mildly separated during the fight, but Radium quickly spotted everyone pretty much in the same area. Stepping forward to meet them, she felt something push her back forcing her to stumble forward. After turning around with confused look, she saw it was a Slowpoke who'd bumped her. The Pink Pokemon looked rather... out of it, but then an eye shifted to look at Radium. The mouse took a step back and hugged her stick. She was well aware of who Slowpoke were.... they were often the kind to stick around the beach and hog up the best spots to sunbath. "Sorry." The Slowpoke stated, his eye then shifted back towards Darkrai. "Gotta help." He added before opening his mouth and seemingly summoning an attack of some kind. Radium jumped at this action and quickly rushed to the Slowpoke's mouth to try and stop it. "Hold up, pal. The fight's over." Radium stated, motioning towards the Darkrai. "He's not gonna be able to fight any more in that condition. So cool your jets." The slowpoke went somewhat cross-eyed as it looked at the mouse on it's snout. a moment passed... which felt more like a few minutes... before he closed his mouth and swallowed whatever attack it was he was going to use. "Oh?" The Slowpoke let his body fall flat to the earth. "Need nap anyway." He voiced closing his eyes. Radium had never seen anyone fall asleep as fast as this one did. What an odd Pokemon.

☆ ☆【Sure enough, with one last flurry of razor sharp leaves Darkrai had had more than enough, clearly on his last legs as he shouted and summoned a great lake of dark energy that swallowed up the entirety of the plateau around them. Piper immediately stiffened in apprehension as she watched warily from her bird’s eye view position, thinking that he was attempting to summon yet another nightmarish monstrosity as a last resort. However, instead of something rising up from the immense pool, it almost felt like the darkness was trying to draw her in… But suddenly, almost as quickly as it had appeared the pool dissipated, leaving only a collapsed Darkrai in the center of it. Quickly locating her teammates again, the Noivern slowly descended towards the ground to join them as Darkrai pleaded with them to leave, given that they had broken many of his friends and stolen their gifts, and even beat him up in his own home. Wait… so… all of those guardians that they’d had to fight up until this point had been friends of Darkrai? This all sounded so contradictory to what the Munna from before had told them that had set them off on this journey in the first place… So Darkrai hadn’t been trying to take over the dream world after all? That… would certainly explain why he hadn’t exactly seemed quite as villainous as Piper had expected when they’d finally found him, had this been a setup the whole time? Oh dear… well with putting things in that kind of perspective, now she just felt terrible…
”U-Um… S-Sorry about, well, all of th-this…” she said quietly with a sympathetic frown as she looked towards the fallen Darkrai, ”We’ll just, um… l-leave you alone now, I g-guess…” She wasn’t sure what else to say, but at the very least it seemed like they were now allowed to wake up and leave this place. Turning her attention towards her companions, she offered them a small smile. ”Is e-everyone alright?” she asked, giving them each a quick once over to check for any injuries. Thankfully, it seemed like all of them had gotten through both fights unharmed. Her ears perked in mild alarm as Radium was suddenly sent staggering forward by someone pushing by, which turned out to be a Slowpoke who seemed to have only just arrived as the battle had finished. He gave a simple apology, stating that he had to help and turned to Darkrai with the intent of attacking him. Tensing up in alarm, the Noivern prepared to jump in between them to stop the Slowpoke’s attack, it wasn’t right to attack a downed foe who had already surrendered. That, and it also wasn’t a very nice thing to do. Thankfully, Radium was quick to jump in, telling the Slowpoke that the fight was over and to calm down. It seemed that he had shown up late and had missed the memo that the fight was over, but he seemed to understand what the Pichu was saying as he left off on loosing whatever attack he’d been preparing and lay down to take a nap.
”S-So… um… wh-what do you g-guys think?” the Noivern asked, looking between her teammates curiously. As much as she wanted to wake back up and be reunited with Zoey again, she didn’t want to just up and leave if her new friends wanted to stick around for a little longer before they said their goodbyes and parted ways for the time being. ”O-Oh! Ray, d-did you want your c-candies now?” she realized that she’d still been holding onto the Rare Candies that Radium had asked for her to store for safekeeping back in the swamp area. It would be rude to just leave without giving those back first, after all.】☆ ☆

A new place… Mystery Dungeon Mogwai spies a new friend! Daphnes, Chickpea, Dune, Valoo, Natu
☆ ☆【Mogwai stood at the ready as Chickpea launched a flurry of razor sharp leaves at Darkrai, which finally seemed to be enough to bring down the legendary nightmare master as he shouted at them. The Bewear clenched his fists in apprehension as dark energy spread out from underneath the Dark-type, growing and growing into a giant lake of shadows that covered the entire peak. He tensed up, expecting for yet another even bigger and more dangerous monster to appear out of the enormous pool, but instead the darkness faded away almost as quickly as it had appeared and left the collapsed form of the fallen Darkrai in the middle. Mogwai blinked in mild confusion at the being’s words… What did he mean by them breaking his friends and stealing their gifts? Was he talking about all of those other Pokemon that they fought to get to this place? Was Darkrai really not the villain that they had thought him to be? But that odd pink Pokemon back at the start had said that this fiend had been the one to invade the dream world and had been attempting to spread his nightmares all over the world… Mogwai couldn’t help but feel like they had missed something here, had this all been some kind of setup the entire time? If that was the case… maybe that would explain why those ‘guardians’ they had fought from before hadn’t retaliated. Had they been innocent Pokemon who were just trying to defend their world the whole time?
Mogwai’s expression became concerned and troubled, nodding as Daphnes mentioned that that was what Darkrai had meant when he’d accused them of being ‘false knights’. Had they really been going about this all wrong the entire time? Arceus… the Bewear’s ears flattened in shame at that, seemed he had been going about this whole business of knightly duty all wrong. Seemed he still had much to learn before he could grow to truly become a proper knight. ”Mooooogwaaaaaiiiii feeeeeel baaaaad tooooo…” the bear admitted in agreement with Daphnes’s sentiment. Maybe it was best for them to go on and take their leave, Darkrai had no more energy to fight and seemed more than willing to just let them leave if it would get them out of his hair. Mogwai nodded as the Shelgon mentioned that while he would like to stay with them, he felt that Temperance would need him, and said that he wanted to learn more about knighthood as well. ”Yeeeees! Moooooogwaaaaaiii waaaaant meeeeeet Siiiiiire Daaaaaphneeees aaaagaaaaiiiin, Teeeeeemp tooooo,” the Bewear eagerly expressed agreement at the idea of them meeting again someday in the real world, quickly turning towards all of his other companions as well, ”Duuuuuune Chiiiiiickpeeeeeaaaa tooooo! Aaaaand Vaaaalooooo Naaaaatuuuu! Mooooogwaaaaaiiii waaaaant seeeee fuuuuureeeeends aaaagaaaaaiiiiin~”
That being said, however, perhaps he should wake up as well soon too… As much as he wanted to stick around a bit longer with his companions, perhaps Aiden might need him as well. ”Mooooogwaaaaaiiii thiiiiink waaaake uuuup tooooo… Seeeee Aaaaaiiiiideeeeeen,” he explained, furrowing his brow as he seemed a bit conflicted. ”Duuuuune Chiiiiiickpeeeeeaaaaa huuuuuugs?” he asked, looking between the Chikorita and Dunsparce in particular and glancing over towards his Shelgon partner, ”Siiiiiire Daaaaaaphneeees tooooo?” If they were all going to be exchanging their goodbyes and going their separate ways for now, the Bewear felt like one last hug for his companions and new friends was in order since it would likely be quite some time before they’d see each other again. Even though Daphnes in particular probably wasn’t the hugging type of Pokemon, Mogwai felt it was only fair to extend the offer to his fellow knight and brother in arms as well.】☆ ☆

☆ ☆【Fianna stayed by Daiki for most of the fight, keeping a close eye and ready to move in and help if he ended up collapsing again. It was clear that repeated use of that new move he’d learned had really taken a lot out of him, the Zoroark hunched over like a sickly old man as he panted with exertion. It seemed like it had tired him out to the point where he didn’t seem to have the energy to attack again, until finally it seemed Darkrai had finally had enough as one final strike struck him head on. The Braixen stood firm in preparation to fight as a blast of shadows and darkness swept over the area, as if they were being pulled into some kind of black hole. However, the darkness disappeared as quickly as it had appeared, leaving only an exhausted and downed Darkrai as he begged them to just go away. Fianna frowned as she listened to the legendary being’s words, going on about how they had broken his friends and stolen their gifts, and had even barged into his home and thoroughly thrashed him. Had this… actually been some kind of elaborate setup the whole time? What he was saying sounded almost nothing like what that Munna had told them at the very start, about the guardians and the items and everything… From what Darkrai was saying, it seemed more like they had more or less broken into his home, wrecked all of his things, and stole everything of value. She’d had some suspicions that perhaps that Munna might have been hiding something, but she hadn’t given it that much thought in favor of focusing on escaping this dream world. Still, that might explain why the guardians they had fought over the course of all of those past floors hadn’t fought back even as they were being hammered with attacks… and why Darkrai had mentioned them ‘ruining this world further’ when he had come in to engage them after his monster had been defeated. Well s**t… Now that just made her feel awful inside, knowing that all of the Pokemon they had beat up were probably just trying to defend their own homes. Still, the damage had already been done…
”I think that’s more than enough…” Fianna said with a sigh, shaking her head, ”Would be in poor taste to attack someone who’s downed and has already surrendered.” Again, she had no intention of being a bully, and she certainly was far from the type to kick someone while they’re down. She couldn’t help but feel a bit bad for Darkrai, in spite of everything he didn’t exactly seem like a real bad guy. It had seemed all the villainous bravado he’d been putting out earlier had been more of an act than anything… she wondered if maybe that Munna from before had actually been leading them into some sort of elaborate ruse. The more she thought on that possibility, the more likely it seemed like it might actually be true… Taking a deep breath, the Braixen turned her attention towards her companions. ”Everyone alright?” she asked, her eyes immediately going towards Xiao Lan in particular as she gave the little bat a quick check over. It seemed like she’d avoided any further injury during their battle against Darkrai, much to the fire fox’s relief. ”Hey… How are you feeling?” she inquired as she turned her attention towards Daiki, keeping her voice gentle as she carefully moved closer to him. ”Deep breaths, okay? Breathe in… count to ten… and breathe out…” she said softly, trying to help him get his breathing back under control. As she slowly approached him, she held a hand out and at the ready to help steady him in case he might keel over and fall. Given how much it seemed repeated use of that attack had taken out of him compared to the other attacks he’d used in previous fights, it was likely a miracle that he was even still standing in spite of his hunched, haggard appearance.】☆ ☆

While Daiki had stopped his attacks against the target pokemon, his fur still crackled with an ominous energy. The zoroark seemed much more feral than the friendly pokemon his team had come to know. He had even seemed to start striking out as if fighting some unseen enemy. The dark type didn't even seem aware of his team mates, even with Fi sticking close. However, despite his violent thrashing, it was easy to see that it was petering out into weak flailing.
While the fight against Darkrai had ensued, Medicham continued his search, which meant scrutinizing pokemon the best he could, searching for someone. "If it's not fighting then.... perhaps it took on a different shape..." he thought, turning his attention back to the scenery. Staring around at the rocks, bushes and broken pillars that made up this dream environment, one boulder specifically stuck out to him. One that seemed to almost sweat as he locked eyes onto it. As he got closer, it even seemed to tremble a bit, though you could tell it was trying it's hardest not to. A nervous face became more apparent to the Medicham, who now stood before the 'boulder', arms crossed.
"D-dittoo...." it sheepishly squeaked, melting down to it's soft, pink slimey form. "Don't you 'ditto' me. I'm not the one that slipped ahead while everyone was distracted.""Ditto ditto""What? No!""Di ditto.""Arceus, you are such a pain." Medicham then picked up the slimeball and looked over to see the fight had ceased, Darkrai conceding defeat. As the Medicham had suspected, they didn't appear to have a true need to fight the pokemon from before. It wasn't too surprising to hear Darkrai had somehow been a victim in this. His gaze slowly returned to where the zoroark he had run into was, squinting at the erratic behavior.
"Ditto?" the pink jelly jiggled. "Yeah, should probably go check on that." the Medicham sighed, making his way back towards the group directly now that there was no longer a battle going on. He was rather wary though - he had been rather lucky the last encounter with the Zoroark, but he couldn't really get a read on the dark type. So seeing him already not following any apparent pattern was enough to keep the psychic cautious. Ditto, meanwhile, rested in his hands with the same simple expression upon its face.
Daiki was stumbling a bit with each movement, drool dripping from his snarling muzzle. ”Hey… How are you feeling?” The Zorark's head snapped in the direction of the voice, pupils narrow slits. He growled like a cornered wild pokemon, baring his teeth as a few more purple sparks of energy arched across his green fur. He didn't approach or slash at her with his claws as he moved closer. ”Deep breaths, okay? Breathe in… count to ten… and breathe out…” the illusion fox stiffened, not understanding the words at the time. Only hearing that the voice was gentle, accompanied by a warm, comforting scent.
Daiki's limbs finally gave up and he collapsed onto the ground, groaning. He hadn't taken a single hit to his knowledge, but he sure felt like he had been struck by a tauros. "Hah.... i-is it over....?" he questioned, trying to catch his breath - why was he so out of breath anyways? He winced, raising a paw to the top of his head. "Ugh, my head.... what even happened..." he grumbled, one eye closed while the other squinted up at Fianna.

☆ ☆【All things considered, it was certainly for the best that Fianna had decided to keep a good distance away even when she’d been staying close to Daiki just in case. At some point after he had left off on striking against Darkrai with that strange new attack of his, he had started flailing and thrashing about violently all around himself with his claws as if trying to fight some unseen foe. He hardly seemed aware of his surroundings and seemed to have lost sense of friend or foe, but even so he was clearly weakening quite quickly as his swings gradually became slower and clumsier. Thankfully no one else had been struck while he’d been in the midst of his mad thrashing, and the Braixen made extra certain that Xiao Lan in particular didn’t get too close. With Darkrai conceding defeat and leaving a bit of a bitter taste in the fire fox’s mouth at the thought that perhaps they had been played and that perhaps the master of nightmares had been just as much of a victim as them, she turned her focus towards her teammates to make sure everyone was holding out alright. She had half a mind to quickly check around for that Medicham again, but right now her companions were far more important.
Even with the fight now concluded, Daiki still seemed to have lost all sense of his surroundings as he staggered and stumbled around, drooling and frothing at the mouth like a wild animal. Worry gnawing at her insides, Fianna took a deep breath and began to carefully approach him, asking how he was feeling to try and snap him out of this mindlessly frenzied state he had fallen into. She paused momentarily as he immediately turned to look towards her, snarling and baring his teeth as dark energy ran through his fur. Thankfully he made no move to try and charge or slash at her, most likely because he was much too weakened to really attempt to do so. Still, Fianna kept her steps slow and steady and her voice gentle as she moved closer, exhausted as he might be sudden movement or loud noises could still provoke him to go berserk if she wasn’t careful. As she continued speaking to him to try and keep him grounded and hopefully prevent him from going completely haywire, Daiki froze, seeming to not really understand what she was saying but was slowly starting to come down.

It was difficult to get over the idea that perhaps the Munna who had asked them to help against the legendary master of nightmares had been setting them up all along, she’d had the feeling that something hadn’t sounded quite right but hadn’t given it much thought until now… Still, she pushed those thoughts to the back of her mind for now, keeping her focus mainly on Daiki as he complained about his head and wondering what had even happened as he looked up at her. ”Ah, well… At some point during our fight with Darkrai you kind of… lost control… You were attacking all around yourself at random, like trying to fight something that wasn’t even there,” the Braixen explained, her brows furrowed in a concerned frown, ”Thankfully no one was hurt, well, aside from Darkrai when you’d attacked him before. But it’s still rather worrisome, to say the least…” She recalled what the Medicham had said earlier about Daiki lacking focus, that if he wasn’t careful he could end up hurting himself and possibly others around him. And when the Zoroark had mentioned blacking out the one time he had ended up collapsing after a fight… Perhaps what had happened earlier had been what the Fighting-type had foreshadowed, but thankfully no one had gotten hurt… that time at least. Fianna couldn’t help but worry about something like this happening again…
Sighing softly, the fire fox slowly bent down in front of Daiki, offering a hand out to help him back up if he needed it. ”Are you feeling okay enough to try and stand, at least? Or will you need another minute or two?” she asked gently, not wanting to push him too much given how exhausted he surely felt. If he needed to take a bit more time to catch his breath and get a bit of his energy back, then she’d give him as much as he’d need. Her ears swiveled as she heard footsteps approaching them, catching the familiar starry pattern of the Medicham out of the corner of her eye. Cocking her head a bit more to look his way, her eyes drifted momentarily towards the Ditto that he now carried in his arms. ”I take it you found what you were looking for?” she inquired, momentarily looking towards the Medicham once more curiously before turning her gaze back to Daiki.】☆ ☆

Luna let out a fearful squeak as darkness suddenly surrounded her. Thankfully, the dark pool vanished almost as quickly as it appeared, and all that was left was the army of pokemon and an obviously defeated darkrai. The eevee's ears drooped as the legendary pokemon begged the others to go away. When Allure questioned aloud if the group had been duped, Luna looked up at the large lizard pokemon. "I... I'm not sure..." she responded. Sure, the munna had sounded worried when it asked the pokemon to defeat darkrai, but now that she thought about it, none of the guardians along the way had done much to hurt the pokemon she had worked with. They didn't even start actually attacking until the third floor, although being lifted into the air by a drifloon had been terrifying. Even when they did attack, it seemed like most of the guardians were holding back, especially since they could have ganged up on the approaching pokemon at any time. There certainly were enough of them.
When the spiriake asked how everyone felt, Luna looked around for the other pokemon she had been traveling with. Rafflesia looked to be around for the moment, Argo had given a shrill goodbye and flown off somewhere, but Noah was nowhere to be seen. Luna wondered if the dewott had woken up before darkrai had even joined the battle, which would mean one more way the munna had tricked the various pokemon that were here. "...I feel bad," the little eevee admitted as she looked back up at Allure. "I think those munna lied to us. About a lot of this. Otherwise Noah would have just jumped right into the fighting earlier, right? But he's not here at all..." Then again, the dewott could have just fallen off the mountain as far as Luna knew, but Allure and Rafflesia wouldn't have let that happen, right?
Concerned, Luna glanced over at some of the other pokemon in the area. It seemed that some of them were coming to a similar conclusion as her, but others were understandably more wary. After all, darkrai had put up a rather villainous act initially, even if he did end up becoming timid in the end. "...I think we should go home..." she suggested meekly. The little eevee figured her own trainer might be concerned if the teen had tried to check on her, but wasn't attached enough to actually be all that worried. The others probably had more time with their trainer's, though, and were probably eager to get back to them. Luna's ears perked up slightly and she even gave the remaining pokemon a small wag of her tail, although she was still too upset about the results of their battle to actually be cheery. "I'm glad to have met you, though! ...Well, most of you..." Luna gave a sheepish chuckle, not really keen on meeting Argo again anytime soon. "Hopefully our trainers can bump into each other sometime!"
