A strange sensation of floating followed by gently being dropped onto something soft had taken Fumi out of her deep sleep. The girl thought nothing of it at first and simply groaned, thinking that it was just her imagination playing a trick on her due to still being half-asleep. Any semblance of sleepiness the girl had felt left her when she felt a cooling breeze tickle her skin, but that didn't stop her from trying to go back to sleep. This would soon change as she started feeling around the area for a blanket with her eyes still closed, only to feel blades of grass between her fingers. Brows furrowed at the unexpected texture as the girl started showing concern. 'Hmm wait a minute... What is-?'
'Oh, yay! I think she finally awake wake!' A soft spoken, yet childish sounding voice echoed in her head, unintentionally causing an interruption in the young trainer's thought process.
"Ches!" A much louder, enthusiastic cry soon followed as if replying to the first voice, but this time it was a voice that she heard out loud. Soon after whoever who spoke his or her piece was done did she feel something poke her cheeks multiple times.
'Um... I-I don't think you should do that to her right now...' Another voice which was audibly different from the first one echoed in her head again, but this one sounded more on the shy and polite side. Despite this voice's warning, she still continued to feel that these pokes were growing in frequency and therefore also getting to be more and more of an annoyance by the second.
All these added sensations prompted Fumi to finally open her eyes as her body shot up to an upright position to escape said annoyance. "Okay, stop that please!" There was clear hint of anger in her speaking tone, but her face remained as indifferent as ever. Her vision was initially blurred due to her eyes stinging from the abrupt bright light exposure. After a few moments of getting used to it, she saw her Chespin, Litwick and Ralts that she had befriended the day before. 'Wait...' Was it even the next day? The daylight would suggest that it was. Well that or it at least showed that it was no longer the same day since it was dark last she woke. As she stared at her Pokemon, puzzled, more questions started to pop up. 'When did my Pokemon get out of their Pokeballs?' She wasn't even aware that they could leave without her command. She still had much to learn. The fledgling trainer had so many questions and the fact that she wasn't getting any closer to getting answers was increasing her nervousness. Nothing was making sense to her! She was no longer in the room she had slept in. Where was she now and why was she here and not there? 'What day is it even?' she thought to herself in worry, a hand running through her hair in an effort to try to calm herself.
'It's da same day, same day!' the childish voice happily chanted, bringing about some confusion to Fumi's already increasing dread. This just added more questions. Where was this voice coming from? Was she going crazy!? Feeling her trainer's worries increasing at an alarming rate, the Ralts took a small step forward before 'speaking' in an attempt at trying to quell her trainer's obvious distress. 'It me, it Fae!' she said while waving to get the amber-eyed girl's attention to then point to herself once she did. 'No scared! In dream world! No fibs, honest!' The dual psychic and fairy type then pointed to the giant tree before them as an innumerable amount of floating bubbles containing what looked like sleeping Pokemon drifted around it. Looking more closely around the behemoth of a plant, the girl took notice of the other people present as well. No one appeared to be as distressed(if at all) as she was which oddly in turn calmed her. It seemed like Fae's words had helped her calm down as well. But was this really all a dream? Everything felt so real yet not so real. It was a little hard for her to understand. Is this what lucid dreaming felt like?
She had just started exploring the Pokemon world(literally just yesterday) and had yet to see most of it, so surely these occurrences could be out of the ordinary. As she was thinking this, she took notice of some people flying about seemingly without any help from any Pokemon or device, reducing her skepticism a bit. 'That can't possibly happen in real life, right?' For the moment, Fumi chose to believe in Fae words; it wasn't like she had much else to go on from which would give her no reason to doubt the little Pokemon's words. Regardless it was a strange sensation that would take a lot of getting used to.

Azalea glanced up to the tree Alex was getting so excited about. "Yep. That's a tree alright." She agreed neutrally. "Good to see you still have all five of your brain cells, now come on. Get up." Alex had that big stupid grin on his face and she didn't know why, but it was weird and sort of adorable she supposed. Mostly weird though.
Azalea stared blankly at him as he made grabby hands at her, acting like she didn't know what he was doing. As if she was going to help him up—she barely lifted herself, much less other people. "You practicing your hand gestures or something? I gotta say, you need more movement if you wanna impress my bros back in Alola. They will literally and lyrically throw down." She advised, turning around to scope out the rest of the area. It looked like there were a lot of paths leading out into the fog. Sure was empty here if this was really a dream.
Jasmine, taking some pity on Alex, walked over and leaned down to grab the back of his shirt in her mouth and lift him gently up onto his feet. "I don't think I've dreamed ever." Azalea replied honestly. It was all very surreal. "Is this what dreams are usually like...?" She squinted, trying to see past the nearest pathway. "Full of fog and empty? It seems boring." Of course, some might call it peaceful. That wasn't what Azalea thought obviously. Her version of peaceful included a specific couch at HQ and a TV to watch.

Dang. He'd really been hoping Az would help him up. At least she turned around so if he scrambled to his feet he could brush off the grass stains without her watching. Oh. Right, don't have to worry about it, since we're asleep. He almost wanted to just lay here and roll all over the grass in his white shirt, really rub in that grassy green while there was no nanny to nag him about it.
There was no glorious overthrowing of cloth-care tyranny though. Jasmine, the surprisingly gentle giant, lifted Alex up. "Woah. Thanks." After she let go, the little black head of Cup Noodle poked out from Alex's shirt near where she'd taken hold. The little snake's tongue flicked once, bright blue eyes assessing the possible threat before dipping back below the collar. Alex, not seeming to nice, was looking all along Jasmine's length, taking her bright coloring, cool armored plates and many legs.
"Wait, what do you mean, you've never dreamed?" Alex felt all the gears of his brain (all five of them) turning to noodles and twisting around each other in distress. "But...everybody dreams. Right?" He searched for something in Az's face. But then his discomfort turned to cheer. If Az didn't know much about it, then Alex could be the expert!
"They aren't always like this at all," Alex said with knowledge. "It depends on the person. Usually there's more junk food, or-" Alex skipped over what he'd been about to say, snatched the first thing he thought of, "-cool stuff happening." Now that he thought of it, ever since he'd left home he hadn't had as many dreams about home. That was good- there were some reoccurring ones he was happy to leave behind. "I'm surprised Julian isn't here nagging me about anything though," he said with a chuckle. Now there was a figure that would probably linger in his dreams forever.
"Also dreams don't always feel this real. Usually it's like, uhm... like watching a movie, kind of." He looked off towards the mists, eyes widening as he spotted the distant cloudy peaks of what looked like some massive mountains. Maybe this dream had to be like this so that he and Az could be in it together? "I bet there's cool stuff, out there. Wanna go check it out?" Maybe if they did, they could finally find some free dream snacks. He'd been trying to manifest a bag of chips this whole time and it just wasn't happening.

Despite the serene setting, Trey found himself deeply unsettled at his surroundings. This didn't feel right, waking up in a dream, surrounded by sleeping pokemon. As silly as it sounded, it felt like something from the kind of books his parents would read him at bed time when he was a child. In fact, it sounded a lot like some of those stories. A large tree in the middle of a lush, grassy meadow... He shook his head. The details were too vague. He was mixing it up with something, he was sure, because there wasn't any story about... dreaming pokemon bubbles, was there? He looked up again, pulling his gaze from the healthy leaves coating the tree's branches, and tried searching through the pokemon for something familiar. Something to try and give him some indication of what was going on. A sign of where he was supposed to go, or, what he should do. Maybe even one of his own pokemon? He brought his attention back down and turned on his heel, slowly, before he finally noticed a bubble hovering low to the ground. His breath caught and his heart lifted up when he recognized the sleeping fox, and he fell forward into a quick jog to close the distance to Cherish before sweeping down to kneel beside it.
"Ehy Cherish, wake up," he urged, hovering his hands on either side of the bubble as it drifted just shy of eye level. Up close, he was certain it was his pokemon. There were probably other gekkits in the world that looked like him, but... this was his. He could recognize him. "Cherish... I needja." With that, he touched the bubble, and it popped. The pokemon's eyes snapped open, as, for a brief moment, it remained suspended in the air, before finally, gravity kicked in, and he began to fall. "I've got ya." Trey's voice was soft as he quickly swept his hands in to catch his pokemon and pick him up, standing and pulling him in as the pokemon gave a soft sound of surprise. Cherish squirmed, but curled up into his arms as he got his bearings, looking around and twitching his ears. "Now we jus' need ta find everyone else..." the teen muttered, looking around with a slight frown.
--
Binding the whip into a tighter loop, JR looked around as he started walking with Wesley at his side. The tree atop the hill they were walking around was enormous, and shaded the area a good deal. He could see several other trainers spotting the area, in various states of waking up, but none wore the familiar beanie, green hair, and red eyes of his travel companion. Maybe it was for the best-- after all, he could use a break from Trey's vibrant company. JR's languid gaze continued collecting through the nearby trainer's as he walked before he stopped, a familiar form catching his gaze. But it wasn't... Trey. For a second he thought it was one of his pokemon, but hadn't it evolved? He paused a moment, then turned, walking closer to get a better look. It was the same kind, though he swore, before meeting the blackmailing punk, he'd never seen it before. And yet, here it was again. Sitting on some kid's head.
"Hey..." JR threw out a greeting, and put on his most charismatic smile and warm expression as he walked over, stealthily stashing his whip away and out of view as he approached the kid. The dratini didn't go unnoticed, either, and Wesley tracked along just behind JR, eyes narrowed at the dragon pokemon as he sized her up. JR worked to balance out his pokemon's icy demeanor with a friendly tilt of his head. "Is that a danshen?" he asked the boy, tossing a hand to gesture to the pokemon. It didn't hurt to strike up a conversation, especially if, by chance, this kid might have some better idea on where they were, by chance. And the shared, possibly rare pokemon, might give him an easy way to put a call out on his travel partner, even if his pokemon was the next evolution up. Or, at least.... last he had been aware of, it was.

Fumi was still a little frazzled with everything going on. It wasn't going to be easy for her to psychologically digest all of this new information. While normally she'd doubt Fae since there really wasn't any evidence to prove it, Fumi's gut feeling was telling her that the emotional Pokemon was speaking the truth. So at the very least she knew that it was still night time despite the sun being up due to being in a dream world and that her Pokemon and all the items that she brought along and gained in her travels so far were on her person. The fact that she was somehow transported in a new, unfamiliar dream-like environment in which normal world rules don't necessarily apply(from what she understood so far anyway) combined with learning the nerve-racking reality that some of her Pokemon were actually capable of communicating with her inside her head just kept adding more questions to the many that were still unanswered.
Why was she of all people sent here? Or how even was she here? The girl looked around the grassy plain once more to make extra sure she wasn't losing her mind. She needed to reconfirm that she wasn't the only one that got transported. Somehow, just knowing that she wasn't the only one in this puzzling situation had brought her some sort of strange comfort. It didn't seem like anyone in the area was in immediate danger either, not at this moment at least, and the scenery was beautiful to say the least which also helped her mental state. Feeling a bit calmer about the situation, the girl plopped herself back on the comfy grass below her as she watched seemingly sleeping Pokemon filled bubbles slowly pass by. The tension in her shoulders and neck was easing up a tiny bit, but her mind wasn't exactly calming down. While she didn't find the answers she was looking for, other questions kept popping up.
How could Fae talk to her in her head? Was it because of the dream world they were in? Who or what was the other voice inside her head? The girl understood that Pins didn't have the ability to do that as she had a feeling that he'd definitely use it if he did given his personality, so she assumed that maybe it could be Wick instead. She only thought so because he was the only one of the three Pokemon that was out of their pokeball and were near her at the moment of speaking and it certainly wasn't Fae changing her voice. But if it was him why didn't he speak in her head in the 'normal world' earlier though? She didn't question Fae's lack of speaking as their initial encounter was far too short for any type of conversation to be had, leaving her only option to be Wick. 'Um... I'm sorry... I-I didn't mean to not talk... I...' Amber eyes immediately darted towards the dual ghost fire type as she rose up to her feet, in effect now towering above the small Pokemon. All to see if her thoughts were correct. These abrupt movements of Fumi's sadly caused poor Wick to flinch in fear, his arms covering his face. "So it was you?" the girl firmly asked the Litwick, not quite thinking about keeping the manner of asking the nervous Pokemon's emotions in mind and favoring to sate her curiosity instead. That soon changed when she saw the Litwick dejectedly nod to confirm what she was indeed right. Feeling guilty about her behavior, the fledgling trainer knelt down to his eye level, "No need to apologize. You didn't do anything wrong," she spoke as calmly as she could so as not to frighten him further, "uh... if anything I'm sorry I scared you..." The candle Pokemon slowly let his arms down to lower his guard, feeling safer than he did before. 'Um... Okay...' It seemed like the waxy Pokemon had accepted his trainer's shoddy apology as he expectantly stared at her as if awaiting for her to give him some sort of command. Not sure what to do at this point, the girl awkwardly looked away, towards at the horizon as if she was searching for something. With this new information attained and this mini situation settled in her opinion, the purple-haired girl let out a huff of relief. It helped Fumi answer one of the many questions she had. How to go about answering the other ones though? The girl began to sink back into her bad habit of thinking too much once again.
'Owie!' The red-horned Pokemon held her head in pain. 'Think too much. Hurts...' It seemed like the girl's worrying had done a number on the bowl cut wearing Pokemon. Whether this was a dream or not, the girl didn't want to hurt anyone, especially someone who'd have to rely on her. "I'm sorry... I'll try to dial it back," the newbie trainer said aloud in as gentle a manner as she possibly could while lacing her words in an apologetic tone, but at the same time she couldn't help bit unexpectedly portray a look of worry and concern. But how could she 'dial it back'? Asking questions was second nature to her. "Ches! Pin! Ches!" Just as she was thinking about how to go about this problem did Pins let out a cry as if to say 'look over here'. The rodent-like Pokemon had pointed towards the gigantic tree, to its roots and then finally to the routes below it. Upon looking at the fauna with more attention, Fumi noticed that there were multiple paths leading up to it. "Hm, not a bad idea Pins." she said, impressed, as she started brushing off the blades of grass that had stuck to her clothes after patting her Chespin's head. It wasn't a bad idea at all; it sure beat staying in one place wracking her brain for answers she'd probably never get the answers to on her own. Moving around would keep her distracted from negative thoughts. And who knows... Maybe she could find the answers she was so desperately looking for in one of those long winding paths. Now which direction should they go?

Once the situation had been assessed, names exchanged, and a general plan of action created, Huey felt his confidence rise, just a bit. Although he didn't have much experience in helping lost pokemon find their trainers, dream or not, he had helped find Hannah and Lewis' toys several times, when he still lived at home. And, sure, finding lost toys wasn't exactly the same as finding lost trainers -- in fact, it wasn't even in the same ballpark -- it was... a stepping stone towards it. So, sure, he'd take the perilous jump from the first step all the way to the tenth! It was better than not helping, and just leaving Eir to bemoan her situation alone. Besides, he wasn't alone in his good intentions! He had Belle, and she seemed a very wise pokemon.
Speaking of, Belle, not the most verbose pokemon, simply gave a grateful nod to Eir when she complimented her name -- though, it wasn't as if she'd played a hand, or a talon, in the naming process -- before zeroing in her focus onto the pale vulpine as she began to describe her trainer. Huey listened in too, and gave a few, firm, nods of the head to indicate that he was listening, and absorbing the details. "A super-ultra-mega lady?" he repeated Eir's description slowly, a smile catching at the corners of his lips in the process. This was a serious situation, and Eir's description was the only way they'd find her trainer, but the way she described her was funny, cute even; and it didn't just stop with her height either. By the time the Alolan Ninetales had finished, the young boy had quite the mental picture of her: a gigantic, burgundy-haired, all-black wearing women, who may, or may not (though definitely was) scowling. She really did sound scary, but... Eir insisted she was nice, so he'd do his best to picture the woman smiling in his head.
Huey turned to Belle. "Did you get all that?" he questioned, careful to keep the wariness out of his tone. That had been a lot to take in. Thankfully, it hadn't been enough to confuse Belle, as she gave a short nod of the head before taking off into the air. Huey watched her go, tilting his head back and shielding his eyes, as she flew closer to the tree before starting a slow circle. He dropped his head back down, before plopping onto the ground and situating Eir with a curious look; there wasn't much they could do until Belle returned. "How long have you been with your trainer?" he asked, hoping to start up a conversation to pass the time.
While Huey and Eir talked, Belle did her part to locate the latter's trainer, keeping her eyes trained on the ground as she glided through the air. There were several humans to pick through, but with Eir's description she could, at least, ignore some of them. She had described the woman as tall, but from her perspective it was difficult to discern heights, so she focused on the hair and clothes color. Red-brown hair wasn't common, at least in this sampling of humans, and in less than a minute Belle had managed to narrow down her list to three. But, to single out a specific individual, she'd have to get closer. Tucking in her wings, Belle dove down to land onto one of the many branches of the great tree, choosing one that was closer to the ground, but still sturdy enough to support her weight. From this height, she was able to eliminate the other two potential candidates with relative ease; there was only one reddish-brownish haired woman that stood out from all the rest, quite literally. This one was certainly a tall individual, and with the ponytail and nearly all-black wardrobe, the Staraptor was confident that this was Eir's trainer. Taking note of her location, and the other pokemon beside her, Belle memorized the area before taking off into the air once more.
Huey was still conversing with Eir when he noticed Belle coming back towards them, and with a joyous cry he waved out to her. Not that she wouldn't see them, after all she was headed right in their direction, it was just instinctual. A grin blossoming across his face, he kept waving towards his pokemon until his vision of the sky, and the approaching Belle, was suddenly blocked. The young blonde blinked, before refocusing his gaze inward and squinting at the pastel form before him. "Prim?" At the call of her name, the Florges retreated back a few inches to stare at her trainer, arms folded and a frown on her face. "When did you get out?" he asked, a logical question considering he hadn't even heard a pokeball opening. Prim, in response, leaned forward to pluck three strands of hair from his bangs. He winced, and instinctively slapped his forehead. "...I'm happy to see you, of course. I was just curious," he, quickly, amended, right hand gently rubbing at his scalp. Prim huffed, before she began tying the hair strands together.
Once his scalp pain had ebbed away, Prim was hair-weaving away, and Belle had rejoined them, the group of four began making their way back towards the tree, with Belle in the lead. "I bet your trainer will be happy to see you, Eir," Huey remarked, casting a glance, and a smile, in her direction. While true, he didn't know how long the two had been apart, he knew he'd be relieved to be reunited with any of his lost pokemon (and he was speaking from experience here), no matter the time frame. He lifted his head once more to watch Belle, as they followed after her, and when she began circling a specific area he looked back down. There, just a few feet away, sat a woman and a pokemon, one he didn't recognize; Eir was right, she was a super-ultra-mega lady. He took pause, anxiety quickly welling up within him, and rocked on his feet some before, finally, taking a breath and stepping toward the woman.
"Uhm, e-excuse me?" He took another breath. "Ms..." And there, he trailed off, as he quickly realized Eir had never actually named her trainer. "Miss. Is this your pokemon, Eir?" he asked, and awkwardly gestured out to the vulpine.

From Jun to Lugia. Jun, Lugia, Jun, Lugia. The back and forth continued for a few good seconds, before the pounding of Christian's skull gave him a strong reminder as to why he shouldn't; besides, you know, it being rude and all. So, they were in a dream, together? And somehow that dream involved being in some grass field? There was a lot to unpack here. But, as was his nature, Christian did it slowly, and without much consideration to the distant future. "Nice to meet ya, Loogie." He waved at her, either unaware or indifferent to the fact that he had just, absolutely, butchered her name. It was most likely the former, given the somewhat tired look on his face.
He just needed another minute.
Christian hummed at Jun's question, and followed his gaze down to the little fox close by, before he too looked to Cress. The gator had taken to this 'dream world' better than her trainer, and was busy stomping down a circle into the grass. She looked up, however, when she felt eyes on her and turned to look at the fox, whose head was steadily sinking into its bamboo collar. "That's a Gekkit," she informed the two, and waddled over to stick her snout into the opening the fox had created. A pair of eyes stared up at her, before the pokemon's head rocketed forward, forcing Cress to jerk her head back and plop down onto her rear. "S'prise!" Gekkit barked, in between his... well, gekkering. From her new position, the Totodile laughed along, and even gave a bit of applause, before she turned to the two humans. "I saw Chickpea talking to him earlier, along with some bird," she relayed.
"Mm." He gave an abridged version of a nod, which was just an odd head tilt forward, before scratching his cheek. "That's cool." Where was Chickpea though? A, slow, look around revealed that the little leaf pokemon wasn't in the immediate area, which didn't make sense, right? All his pokemon should have been with him. Half-listening to Jun, Christian continued staring at the nearby grass, as if that would cause his starter to materialize before him. "Sounds like as good a plan as any," he remarked, before finally turning his gaze onto Jun. "Hey, have you seen--""Chiko!"
Well, that answered his question.
Turning around, Christian watched as Chickpea parted his way through the grass and approached the group, with a tennis ball bird atop his head. "Oh hey. We were just talking about you." Bridging the gap between them, the blonde crouched down in order to poke Chickpea's face; it was as soft as ever, but, more importantly, it felt well. "Chiko!" Chickpea gave a waggle of his head-leaf, disturbing the tennis bird in the process; yup, this was his pokemon, alright. And, he turned to the other pokemon, this must've been the bird Cress had mentioned.
His team now a proper trio once more meant that Christian could afford to expend his focus. Jun had asked if anywhere called out to him. A nap 'called out' to him, but that was just his immediate thought. Besides, you couldn't sleep in a dream... could you? Ignoring that initial desire, he allowed himself to go on autopilot and began walking towards the nearest, defined, trail. "You said we might as well look around, right?" He regurgitated Jun's suggestion with a half-smile. "So, let's look around in this direction."

☆ ☆【Eir smiled brightly as Belle simply gave a nod of thanks to her compliment, even if the Staraptor wasn’t much for conversation at least she seemed quite nice as well like Huey. Even though she had literally only met these two minutes ago, the Alolan Ninetales felt a surge of hope rising in her chest the more they talked amongst each other (save for Belle who was content to just quietly listen). Huey admittedly seemed so confident and capable for someone so young… and his Pokemon looked to be quite strong as well! In spite of her better judgment, Eir couldn’t help but feel safe in their company. Besides, Huey had been nothing short of kind and helpful since they’d met, so maybe it was more than safe to assume that he was trustworthy enough. If nothing else, at least she wasn’t alone.
That being said, with a plan of action concocted Eir was more than happy to provide a description of what Zoey looked like to them to the best of her ability to make Belle’s job of finding the woman much easier. She certainly hoped that it would be good enough without being super confusing, given that she may have exaggerated a little on some of the details. But still, she had a feeling that just describing Zoey as ‘a tall redhead’ would be a bit too vague to really be helpful. As she did her best to give them a brief but detailed enough description, the Ninetales quietly appreciated Huey nodding every so often to indicate that he was listening. It was a minor thing, yes, but at the very least it meant that he understood what she was saying which was a relief for her in spite of the bit of embellishment she sprinkled in. In fact, Huey actually seemed a bit amused as he repeated her description of her trainer’s height, and Eir chuckled a bit as well in spite of herself. Still, this was a pretty serious situation, and she quickly got herself back on track as she went on to talk about the color of Zoey’s hair and the dark clothing the woman seemed to favor wearing. After giving them all the information that she knew, Eir glanced over towards Belle as Huey checked in to make sure she’d understood everything. To the Ninetales’s relief, the Staraptor nodded in confirmation and took to the air, more than glad that all the information she’d given them had been enough without being too difficult to parse.
With Belle now away to scout out the area, Eir looked back to the kindly blonde boy as he sat down by her. As much as the Ninetales wanted to get going so they could try to find Zoey, Huey did have the right idea that they should wait for Belle to report back. So she was content to sit still for the time being, ears twitching as Huey asked her how long she’d been with her trainer.”For quite a while now, actually,”she answered with a nod, cocking her head to one side as she took a moment to think,”We first met all the way back in… um… Hoenn, I think it’s called? There was this big city that was almost entirely indoors and a really tall mountain like the one I lived on, except this one was really smoky and raining grey stuff all around it.”Eir was admittedly not that familiar with most other regions outside of Alola, and even back when she still lived there she’d rarely ever left Mount Lanakila. A part of her wondered if Huey had been to Hoenn, maybe he would recognize those particular landmarks she had tried to describe.”I was in a really bad way when she first found me, I didn’t know the area at all and it was… very overwhelming,”she admitted, ears flattening a bit at the thought,”Being lost and alone in a completely unfamiliar place is really scary, you know…?”It certainly didn’t help that her first exposure to humans hadn’t exactly been the best experience… Even when Zoey had taken her in, it took a while for Eir to even start warming up to her upon realizing that the woman harbored no bad intentions and was genuinely trying to help her. Even though she had only just met Huey, somehow she felt that same kind of vibe from him as she had from Zoey… and thinking about it now, even the circumstances in which they’d met were similar too. Maybe that was why she was so willing to place her trust in him even though she didn’t know him all that well…
As they made small talk together, it didn’t take much longer for Belle to return to them. Smiling brightly, the Ninetales lifted a paw up and waved at the Staraptor too as she approached, at least until another Pokemon suddenly seemed to appear out of nowhere in front of Huey. Blinking in surprise and confusion, Eir took in the rather beautiful white and green pastel colors of the new Pokemon as it floated back a bit away from the young boy and seemed to glare at him with a frown and crossed arms. Was this another one of Huey’s Pokemon? It seemed so, he had called the flower-like Pokemon ‘Prim’, though he was a bit confused as to where she’d come from since he hadn’t called her out from her ball. Eir winced as Prim responded by plucking a few strands of hair from Huey’s head, feeling her own head prickling at the sight because that definitely looked like it hurt. Upon assuring her that he was happy to see her and that he’d only been curious, Prim seemed satisfied enough as she fiddled around with the plucked hair strands. The Alolan Ninetales looked to Huey, concern and confusion written on her face as to what all that had been about. However, it seemed they had more important matters to attend to as Belle rejoined them, Eir staying close to Huey and his Pokemon as they walked towards the giant central tree.
The ice fox smiled brightly at Huey’s comment, wagging her tails eagerly at the prospect of seeing her trainer again soon.”I would certainly hope so! I am one of her favorites, after all~”she agreed with a nod, though she was admittedly exaggerating a little since she knew Zoey didn’t like playing favorites. Oh, speaking of, it hadn’t occurred to her until just now that she hadn’t given her trainer’s name… Whoops! Before she could think to speak up about it, she glanced up as Belle flew up ahead and began circling around a specific area just ahead of them. And sure enough as their group got closer, Eir’s heart quickened upon spotting the familiar tall woman and the Lycanroc right next to her. Coltrane noticed them immediately, the rock wolf’s tail wagging as he turned to look at them.”Big th- sis!”he barked out, catching Zoey’s attention as the woman turned towards them as well just as Huey stepped close and called out to her.
As he gestured towards the Ninetales and made to ask if she was the woman’s Pokemon, Eir immediately bolted past Huey and eagerly ran to meet her trainer. Zoey quickly bent down to receive the Ninetales as she got closer, and the ice fox all but jumped into the woman’s arms.”Zooooeeeyyyyyy!”she whined, snuggling up close to the woman and smothering her face in affectionate nuzzles,”Zooooeyyyy it was awfuuuullll! I was so scared and I couldn’t find you and I thought I was gonna diiiieeeee!”The woman chuckled as she combed her fingers through the Ninetales’ fur and scratched behind her ears, knowing well enough that Eir was just being dramatic but absolutely relieved to see her all the same. ”It’s alright now, princess. I’m so glad to see ya back again~” she reciprocated with a smile, planting a soft kiss on the vulpine’s forehead, ”Was real worried ‘bout ya, y’know?”
Eir gradually settled down as she was stroked and kissed, purring contentedly as she lay her head on Zoey’s shoulders. She felt a bit bad for having worried her trainer so much, but they had managed to find each other again and that was really all that mattered. Still, she couldn’t take all of the credit for that.”It was thanks to Huey, really,”the fox piped up, nodding towards the young boy with a smile,”If it wasn’t for him then I would’ve absolutely died, for sure!”Zoey rolled her eyes a bit, playfully flicking Eir’s ear before gently setting her back down onto the ground and turning to address the young boy and his Pokemon. Slowly stepping a bit closer, the woman bent down once more so that she was a bit more level with him, not wanting to make him scared or nervous given that she was a bit intimidating with how tall she was. ”I really can’t thank ya enough for helpin’ Eir, but I guess an introduction would be as good a start as any,” she said gratefully, a warm, kind smile on her lips as she held a hand out to him, ”Huey, yeah? Well it’s real nice to meetcha, name’s Nizhoni Larsson but just Zoey is absolutely fine by me~” Coltrane eyed the blonde kid furtively, dark green eyes assessing him cautiously as he moved to stand beside the Alolan Ninetales. Wary as he was about this new stranger who had just come around, it didn’t seem like this ‘Huey’ was a bad person since he’d been kind enough to return Eir to them. So far, at least... After a moment, the Lycanroc gave a soft bark and a few wags of his tail in greeting towards the boy.
It was then that Orpheus made his return, having climbed all the way back down from the enormous tree to report back. As the Zoroark approached, he paused upon seeing that Eir was back with them once again and Zoey talking with a little blonde kid, thanking him for returning their companion.”Ah…”he said with a soft laugh and a smile,”It appears my help was not needed after all~”Not that he really minded, more than happy to see that the situation had more or less resolved itself.】☆ ☆

The more that Aiden explained his theory on what possibly happened, the more Natalia frowned with concern. They certainly weren't in Goldenrod any more, and as little as Natalia knew about Johto and all of it's areas, they didn't seem to be anywhere in Johto either. In fact, it all felt like a dream, albeit a very lucid one. "It's surreal alright. I can say that much... " She muttered thoughtfully. Lucid dreams often gave the dreamer the ability to shape the world, right? To test her theory, she held out her hand, and a pokeball appeared into it. "Yeah, alright. Either I mastered psychic powers over night, or this is a lucid dream." She said decisively.
Aria could also confirm that they were dreaming. "You mean you can see into both worlds?" Natalia asked, honestly surprised and a little impressed. "Well.... 'See', is a relative term." Nyomii joked with a chuckle. "Oh... Uh... Right. Sorry." Natalia blushed. It was hard to remember that Nyomii was technically blind when she had psychic sight. Honestly, it was quite a strange sensation for the espeon. When she had 'woke up', she had instinctual felt around with her psychic sight to get a feel for the layout of the area, but she just felt the room they were in, and it didn't match up with the dream she was taking part in, but because it was a dream, she could also 'see' in it.
Given that this was a dream, and seemingly harmless, Aiden started to suggest they explore, but all they could see from here were multiple pathways out, and a lot of fog. Thankfully Aria had done some scouting ahead to figure out what their choices were. There was a noticeable chill that Natalia felt running down her spine at the mention of a haunted house, and she immediately agreed with Aiden's decision, but just as she was about to speak, the feeling left her, and she couldn't put her finger on why she was going to agree so eagerly. Yes, there was the obvious fact that haunted houses were supposed to be scary, but that wasn't it. She wasn't afraid of haunted houses, and yet there was something in the back of her mind that had been particularly disturbed her when it was mentioned, and her leg gave a dull throbbing ache.
Confused, Natalia winced, rubbing her leg as she slowly nodded. "Yes, I agree... I think... but... I don't understand why...?" Natalia murmured. It seemed Thalia was also not keen on the idea, but given how skittish she was in general, that wasn't surprising. "I'm not saying we should go, but I feel... I feel like there's... Something else... But I just can't remember what it is... Something I was going to say? Something about haunted houses...? And then it was gone. It's like knowing a word and it's on the tip of your tongue but then...." Natalia's brows furrowed as she grew increasingly frustrated with her spotty memory. "Argh! Don't tell me. I... I can remember, I just....!" She racked her brain and sighed. It was no use, whatever she was on the verge of remembering was gone now.
Blaze looked at Nyomii with concern. "Should we uh...?" The quilava glanced between the espeon and Natalia indicatively, but Nyomii's dark eyes seemed distant. "...No. I think that's one memory she can do without. Ignorance is bliss, let her enjoy it, at least for now..." Nyomii frowned, telepathing to everyone except Natalia so that she wouldn't hear. In the meantime, Aiden had suggested going to the forest, but Natalia shook her head. "Nice as I'm sure that is, we just got out of the forest. I don't want to go back again in my dreams." Natalia laughed. "Didn't you say there was a beach, Aria? It's summer time. Let's go there." She suggested.

At the sound of the voice, Scott’s attention drifted away from the large tree and toward a dark haired man. At first he was confused. Was this guy talking to him? But a quick glance around at this surroundings informed him that, yes, this guy was in fact talking to him. For whatever reason. Awkwardly, Scott raised a hand in return, silently acknowledging his existence, but before he could continue onward like he initially planned, the guy spoke up again.
”Is that a danshen?”
Okay. Well. That was a strange question. What the heck was a danshen? It certainly wasn’t any kind of pokemon he had heard about before and while he wasn’t an expert on pokemon, he’d done his fair share of studying of the creatures that inhabited each region. Just as Scott was about to open his mouth, Kosmo shifted uneasily atop his head, and Scott, out of fear that the smaller pokemon might fall off, reached up to calm it. ”My apologies but I am not--” he trailed off mid-sentence as a realization dawned on him. Was the guy talking about Kosmo? After all, he was apparently talking to Scott specifically and the only two pokemon he had out were Kaida--who he had confirmed to be a Dratini--and Kosmo. Kosmo was… well he actually had no idea. He’d gotten the fuzzball as a gift and when he’d gotten his pokedex he’d forgotten to check the species. Like a true moron. ”One second,” he mumbled to the stranger, digging his pokedex back out of his bag, then used the device to identify his furry companion.
Danshen, the learning pokemon. These curious infant spirits will watch and learn those around them, and enjoy hearing stories and tales of wisdom.
Huh. Okay then. Interesting. Now he knew. ”Yes, it appears that is the case,” Scott finally responded to the man, slipping his pokedex back into his bag, before he stepped forward, holding one hand out. ”Hello, I’m Scott. The danshen is Kosmo and this is Kaida.” A tug on his pants alerted to another presence and a glance down was greeted with Peaches’ chipper grin. When had she woken up and popped out of her pokeball? ”Ah, and this Peaches, I guess…” Geez this was starting to become a handful for him. ”Sorry about this. I’m usually much more organized than this…”

✦ ✦The gradually deepening frown on Natalia’s face as Aiden tried his best to explain what was going was telltale enough for him, and in all fairness he could hardly blame her. Even as the words left his mouth the blonde was still in disbelief at how they had ended up in a place like this, though it being a dream would certainly explain the surreal surroundings from the enormous tree that shadowed them overhead to the abundant mist that surrounded the area and made it difficult to really tell what lay beyond. Still, as she absorbed the information the gears seemed to start turning in Natalia’s head, the brunette remarking on how surreal it all was. Aiden nodded in agreement, watching curiously as she proceeded to materialize a Pokeball into her outstretched hand. A soft laugh left his lips as Natalia concluded that either she had mastered psychic powers suddenly or this all was a lucid dream. ”Well, I’m not sure psychic powers necessarily includes conjuring objects out of thin air, but I’m hardly an expert there,” he said, following her example as he opened his hand and focused his mind on it. Moments later, a bright red strawberry materialized in his palm. Upon taking a bite, he noted the especially crisp, bright sweetness, as if it had just been freshly picked. ”Although being in a lucid dream could open up a lot of interesting possibilities, imagination is the only limit, I think,” he suggested, wondering what else could be possible for them to do in a world like this that wouldn’t be possible in reality.
Aria, of course, was quick to confirm that they were indeed dreaming, as she could still sense their still sleeping bodies in the physical world with her psychic powers. The Delphox smiled as Natalia asked if she could actually see into both worlds, the girl looking a bit surprised and maybe even somewhat impressed. She made to answer, but Nyomii cut in as she joked that ‘seeing’ was technically a relative term for a Psychic-type, Natalia blushing as she corrected herself and apologized.”It’s somewhat complicated to really explain, dear, but rest assured that Mimi and I will keep a close monitor on our physical bodies in the meantime. That way we can wake everyone up just in case,”she chipped in with a nod and a warm smile. Of course, she doubted any kind of emergency situation would come up while they were in this dream world, given that Pokemon Centers tended to be pretty secure places. Still it wouldn’t hurt to keep an eye out just in case, better to be safe than sorry, right?
That being said, since this strange dream world seemed peaceful and harmless otherwise perhaps it wouldn’t hurt to poke around a little and get more of a feel for this place. Unfortunately with the rather dense fog surrounding what was probably the main clearing area, there wasn’t much to go off of for possible areas to explore aside from the visible paths spread out before them that led in multiple different directions. To Aiden’s relief Aria, helpful as always, had taken the time to scope out where the different paths had led as she described what she had seen of the surrounding areas and gave them a pretty general layout as a reference. With all of their choices laid out before them, that just left them with deciding on where exactly to go from here. Almost immediately Aiden decided they should avoid the haunted house in particular, not willing to trust going into a place like that after what had happened the last time. Granted, they had still managed to make it out unscathed (for the most part at least), but after what he had witnessed he would probably not want to step foot into a haunted house ever again. He gave a small, sympathetic smile as Thalia immediately agreed, given her skittishness and that she wasn’t the biggest fan of ghosts even though she was warming up to Annabelle. His eyes went over to Natalia as she rubbed at her leg as if it were in pain, saying that she agreed but she didn’t exactly understand why.
Aiden frowned as she went on to further explain, assuring that she wasn’t saying they should go to the haunted house but she felt like there was something else that she was going to say. Did she… not remember what all had happened during that Halloween ball? Well, given that her memory of certain recent events was still pretty spotty because of the time warp that probably should’ve been expected. Natalia grew more and more frustrated as she attempted to try and recall what it was she had wanted to say, insisting that she could remember and that they shouldn’t tell her. A few moments later she gave up, apparently having had no luck with any recollection. Aiden pursed his lips, conflicted on if he should tell her what had happened or not. That particular memory was… definitely far from the nicest one. There had been some good moments before everything had more or less gone to s**t, yes, but still… Nyomii spoke up, stating that she felt that memory was one Natalia could do without. ”It’s probably for the best,” Aiden mentally agreed. Of course she might figure it out eventually on her own, but for now it was probably best left well enough alone. As Nyomii had said, ignorance was bliss.”To be frank I’m honestly a bit jealous of her, I wish I could forget all about that terribleness so easily,”Aria added with a telepathic sigh, grimacing inwardly,”But yes, agreed. I don’t doubt that she’ll remember it all sometime in the future, of course… But for now, the less she remembers anything to do with that particular memory the better.”
With everyone (except Natalia) in mental agreement, Aiden decided to change the subject as he suggested that they could go to the forest first. It sounded like a relatively safe place to start while they explored around this dream world, but Natalia thought otherwise as she shook her head and said that while it sounded nice they had just gotten out of Ilex Forest only recently in the real world. ”Ah, right,” he said with a sheepish smile, rubbing the back of his neck, ”I suppose it wouldn’t make much sense to go to another forest after we were in one not long ago.” He wasn’t too disappointed at his suggestion being shot down, Natalia did have a good point. There were still plenty of other areas to choose from barring the forest and the haunted house, and a change of scenery would admittedly be quite nice. The blonde perked up at the suggestion of going to the beach, nodding in agreement. ”Yeah, the beach sounds great~” he chipped in his two cents, ”It’s been quite a while since we last got to visit one.” And even then, they hadn’t exactly visited the beaches back in the Sevii Isles as much as they’d passed through them on the way to other places.”Certainly,”Aria chuckled as it seemed everyone was more or less in agreement, gesturing for them to follow along as she walked down the path she remembered had led to the beach,”Come along now, dears, it’s about time for a nice little summer vacation~”With Aria happily taking the lead, Aiden and his Pokemon followed alongside Natalia and hers, the mist swallowing them up as they walked further and further away from the giant tree.✦ ✦

The corner of JR's lips turned up slightly as he tried to get a read on the guy. Had he... waved? And then moved to keep going about his business? Maybe he wasn't interested in socializing or figuring out where they were-- maybe he already knew? Or maybe he was awkward. Instantly, it gave him a distinct "Trey" vibe, but that was probably just more evidence that he had been spending way too much time around the teen. And JR was nothing if not insistent on interaction, as Trey himself had encountered, so... he followed up with a question, the one he'd been intending to ask in hopes of finding some clue as to where his companion might be. The confusion that settled on the boy's face, though, just brought a more curious quirk to his lips as he crossed his arms over his chest, Wesley eying the other from just behind his heel.
"'Not'?" he repeated, raising an eyebrow, and watching the guy as some sort of realization apparently dawned on him, and he began fishing around for something. JR took the chance to turn his head ever so slightly, and scan the surroundings again; he was well aware of the dratini also close by, especially given its general rarity, but he was still more preoccupied with getting a grip of his surroundings, and seeing if he could spot Trey. As blue eyes came back to settle on Scott, though, an animated voice caught his attention, and JR's gaze dropped to the pokedex. He moved forward with ease, peering over to get a better look at the information, with no apparent regard for the complete lack of regard for the boy's personal space. Hey, he wasn't sidling up to him or anything, at least. Honestly, he had just never seen Danshen's pokedex entry, or even heard it, for that case. When the pokemon was essentially dragged into the group by Trey's starter fox, the teen didn't ask any questions or do much digging on what it was. They only found out through inevitable clues, and Trey's eventual research for the purpose of contests.
But, huh.... That was good to know.
He straightened up and stepped back, raising an eyebrow at Scott's eventual answer. So he hadn't been aware of what his own pokemon was? Yeah... Definitely familiar vibes. "Mm... I don't suppose you can look up its evolution on its pokedex and tell me if you've seen one, could you?" he asked, but offered a winsome, friendly smile when Scott introduced himself. He returned the gesture and shook Scott's hand, attention dropping for a moment to each of the pokemon as they were also introduced. "Elvrick, but you can call me Hirsh. It's a bit easier on the tongue," he introduced smoothly, giving a wink as he withdrew his hand. It was amazing how seamlessly he could fall into the false identity, but it was also one of the few perks to traveling with a false mute-- less chance of being called out on it. And really, even if he was... JR was clearly a nickname. It was just one he would have to then potentially come up with a lie for if anyone bothered to ask. He gave a dismissive gesture down towards his heel before folding his arms back over his chest again. "And that's Wesley--" no need for false names there-- "who you can ignore. Don't mind the overbearing glare, he's really just harmless." The light, playful smile on his face made it seem like he was joking, but... it was sort of hard to tell. That wasn't exactly nearly as reassuring if he didn't actually mean it, after all.
He flashed a more patient smile at the apology, and waved a hand up at the air above them. "With pokemon floating in bubbles, I'm honestly surprised it's not literally raining them. Don't worry about it," he consoled, before giving Scott a thoughtful look. His gaze swept over him in appraisal, as though considering something, before he added, "Speaking of, I don't suppose you have any ideas on where we are, exactly?" He wasn't entirely convinced this wasn't a dream, after all, but things certainly felt far more real than they should have.

Helping a lost pokemon reunite with her trainer definitely counted as a good deed, and that random act of kindness left Huey feeling all warm inside; just like all the movies he watched said he would. That's why it was such a shame when he had to leave so suddenly. It wasn't the boy's choice but exhaustion crashed into him like a wave, leaving his legs wobbly and eyelids too heavy to keep fully open, and he quietly excused himself from Zoey to try and recover. He'd rejoin her and Eir soon, he just needed to sit down and catch his breath. Maybe drink some water as well, his mom had always told him that helped shake a sleepy brain.
So he sat down, close enough to still be within Zoey and her team's line of eyesight but still far enough away for him to have his own 'space'. Because that's what he needed right now, probably. Huey let slip a sigh as he rested his head against the giant tree's base, finding its hardened bark surprisingly soft and comforting; if he didn't know any better he would have thought he'd laid his head down on a pillow instead. The boy wiggled himself into a more comfortable position, body practically cradled by the tree at this point, and turned his drowsy vision up to the clear blue sky with the warm sun that shone down upon him. He didn't even need a blanket, this was perfect.
A yawn escaped him and Huey closed his eyes. Just for a little bit, not too long of course. He just needed... a nap, but a very quick one, and then he'd be right as rain and ready to rejoin Zoey, just like he'd promised. He could even drink some water afterward. He was t-minus 3 seconds from falling asleep when he felt a sharp tug on his scalp which caused enough pain for him to open his eyes, barely. "Prim... cut it out," he mumbled and waved her away with slow, languid motions. She puffed out her cheeks, none too pleased to be shooed away, before settling herself atop his head in a passive-aggressive attempt at rebellion.
And that was fine with Huey, the Florges hardly weighed anything.
Now that they were both comfortable he could sleep-- no, nap. It was just a nap. One that lasted for several hours and Huey didn't awaken from until the world of dreams slipped away and he returned to the waking one.

Terrence groaned, before turning on his side and curling into a ball. Wasn't he so tired he could barely keep his eyes open? Why all of a sudden did it feel like he was brimming with energy? How long had be been asleep for anyways? Terrence sighed "Ivy... how long have I been asleep for, it feels like I just closed my eyes but for some reason I'm not tired?" he questioned aloud. He heard an amused chuckle coming from beside him 'I wonder... how long do you think you've been asleep for, are you sure you're even still awake? It is puzzling though, you were the only one to fall asleep and yet the moment your eyes fluttered closed the rest up us seemed to have fallen under a sudden sleep ourselves...' Ivy said softly, as if she was contemplating something. Terrence blinked, before sitting up and turning towards the legendary he had been using as a pillow "what do you mean 'am I sure I'm even still awake? How could I be talking to you like this if I wasn't?" Terrence asked, his head tilted to the side.
Ivy hummed, before looking at their surroundings "well young one, for starters we're not in the same place we had fallen asleep at. Look out at the Terrain, we're in the mountains not in a town. How did we get here, when we were somewhere else entirely? No, I believe that we're in some sort of dream space... while this isn't necessarily the real world, this is a world that was create inside the mind... but how peculiar, it seems that this place connects the minds of all living things. I can sense other living creatures here, we are not the only ones here it would seem... how fascinating"she commented, the interest in her eyes clear. Terrence looked at Ivy, an odd feeling bubbling in his chest. This wasn't the real world? What Ivy said certainly seems true... this wasn't like any place Terrence had ever seen before. Just where was he? Why was he here in the first place? There were so many questions Terrence had, but no one to give him answers too.
Terrence ran a hand through his hair softly "I guess all we can do is see for ourselves what exactly is in this so called 'dream world' that we've landed in. We should be cautious too, we have no idea what could happen here... and we don't know if anything that happens here will affect us back in the real world" Terrence said. Ivy stood, nodding "I believe that would be the best course of action. While I am extremely intrigued by this phenomenon you are my first and only priority. Anything that comes to harm you will face my wrath, I will protect you in this space. This is different than the real world, so we need to be aware of our surroundings" she said, sticking closely to his side. Terrence nodded "ok sounds like a plan, lets see more of this strange place" Terrence said, before walking forwards.

Two grown men making terrible jokes. Was there a better way to pass the time? Probably, but considering his alternatives at the moment Felix couldn't complain. Jay had been a heck of a lot more entertaining than most people Felix could have dreamed up, and he was certainly a lot more considerate. It almost made the tan-haired male feel bad that he probably wasn't going to see the ginger again after one or both of them eventually wakes up. For now, he was just going to enjoy the jokes and conversation for however long they lasted. "I guess I'm mostly in it for traveling anymore," he claimed - which wasn't entirely accurate - when Jay asked him about what he did as a trainer. Dream or no, Felix wasn't stupid enough to admit to being a thief-for-hire to some random person. "When I was a kid I tried the whole league challenge thing, but things didn't work out like I hoped. Now I'm trying one last run at the league challenge for some HMs and to keep my pokemon in line, but for the most part I just want to see different parts of the world and catch interesting pokemon before I retire from all this." Or before he was forced to 'retire' given how he ended up in this situation in the first place.
Of course, the revelation of how long he had been a trainer brought up the question of how old he was, something that got a chuckle out of the trainer. Especially when Jay offered his own age to seem less 'nosey' about the matter. He supposed being blind would offer enough of a challenge to pinning down someone's age, but Felix's voice probably threw the guy off even more. More than once he'd been accused of being several years younger than he actually was due to sounding somewhat higher than other men his age. Nowhere near enough to be mistaken for a girl, thankfully, but apparently his voice was youthful enough to throw some people off. "Ah, not much older than you, actually," he replied, clearly amused and in no way bothered by the question. "I'm twenty-six, should be hitting twenty-seven in a few more months."If I live that long, he thought with some dark humor as he let out another chuckle. "Probably not what you expected, huh? I know I don't sound that old. Don't really look it, either, if I'm being honest," Felix admitted with a laugh.
A wild pokemon had stolen Jay's attention for a bit and because of it, the conversation shifted. Felix had a hand covering the lower part of his face as the ginger clarified what the was up to catching those dream pokemon and he hummed in thought. The tan-haired trainer then let out a sudden "Oh!" as an idea hit him. "You said before that you had a psychic type outside this dream, right? One that could contact you?" he asked, even though he was pretty sure that had indeed happened. Still, even if it was rhetorical, it was probably a good idea to make sure he had interpreted Jay's words properly. "Couldn't they check your pokedex for you right now and report the results? Since you already caught that morelull, if things do transfer over it might have already happened." Then again, maybe Felix was overestimating the speed at which information was transferred over from the dream world to reality. Assuming it did at all, of course. And obviously the suggestion was also based on the assumption that Jay could even get in touch with his psychic pokemon rather than it being a one-way transmission.
Regardless of whether Jay could get in touch with his pokemon on the outside or not, it didn't change the fact that neither of them really knew how they were supposed to wake up and enjoy the literal fruits of their labor. Felix scratched at the back of his neck awkwardly as he considered the ginger's questions. "Not sure," he unhelpfully replied with a sigh. "The only thing I could guess is that my way of waking up might not be the same as yours. Unless something forced you to pass out, too." It certainly was a possibility, just one that Felix hadn't considered until now. After all, Jay seemed pretty calm about his own jaunt into dreamland, although that might have more do with the guy's apparently lax personality than whether or not he was in danger. Or, like he had assured Felix was most likely the case for him, maybe the guy was confident his pokemon were protecting him from anything that might threaten his sleeping body. "If whatever put me under is still lurking around, I might be stuck here until after it's driven off or knocked out. Probably longer, since pokemon under the effects of Hypnosis and the like don't just wake up when whatever put them to sleep goes away," the trainer mused as he noted the trees thinning out.
It wasn't much longer before Felix and Jay reached the clearing that at least one of them had woken up in. It looked like there were more people milling about then there had been when he had initially awakened. Or maybe it was more that the trainer hadn't cared enough to notice them when he had initially wandered down one of the paths. Most likely the latter, since he would have probably assumed they were figments of his imagination or shades conjured up by the world he was in if he had paid them any mind. "Wonder how many of them are actual people..." Felix muttered thoughtfully as he unclipped Talon's ball from his belt. He pointed the ball in front of him and let the device pop open so that the energy contained within could form into his dark skarmory. Talon was still a bit agitated as he shifted his feet and wings around, but eventually the steel bird settled down and started using his beak to move his ruffled feathers back into place. Felix let out a chuckle as he walked over and around - making sure the skarmory could catch sight of where he was going - so he could rub Talon's back. "You feeling a bit better, Talon?" the trainer asked, to which the steel bird replied with a grating chirp. "Glad to hear it. I'm gonna need you to give me a lift so we can get a look around." Talon gave a nod and let out a another small squawk to show he understood before folding his wings so that his trainer could have an easier time mounting him. Once Felix was comfortably positioned on the black skarmory's back, the flying type spread his wings wide and took off high into the sky.
