Days turned into weeks. Weeks turned into a month or so since the reunion of Silent and Bugaboo through the unexpected assistance of Murru Manx and Rane. Each time that Bugaboo saw Silent after the performance near his den, it made that warmth that bloomed in the pit of his heart grow warmer and warmer which made the brute seem kinder and more patient. Each time he began to learn how to understand Silent better through the sounds she was able to make, her facial expressions and body languages. It was challenging sometimes but he was getting it slowly but surely. Yet, what made that warmth special.....was the fact that they spent time walking close to the border of the Threadbare Circus, on the outskirts sometimes in comfortable silence. Bugaboo didn't know what was going on with him but sometimes when he was alone he would peek his head out of his door in the hopes of seeing her before his performances.

Bugaboo had to calm himself and not let all of this good to his head......especially when he was coming to a realization while waiting for Silent on a day that the performers were allowed to take a rest to be able to be at their full capacity.

Bugaboo was falling.

Silent was more than excited to get to the Circus today. Usually, she'd be eager to get out and visit, finding herself to be looking forward to each new show. And even though she had long since ignored the shows themselves - after all, she'd seen them all far too many times at this point - it was still an amazing sight to see Bugaboo take the stage. Her heart felt all aflutter, her spirit soared and flipped and the time she spent with him was never nearly enough.

But today? Today, she'd brought a gift!

Through her time visiting as often as she had, she'd come to realize that he created his own beastly costume by reusing the furs and bones of some of the other creatures that surrounded them. It was a clever use of skill that she oddly admired and partly wished to learn more, but she definitely didn't want to steal his spotlight. Still, her time spent with Rane had proved fruitful as the Dark Nan had taught her to hunt and fend for herself quite well! In fact, she brought her first self-kill with her. Most of the meat was left back with Fane and Rane - it was the least she could do to repay them for the generous hospitality - but there was at least two small steaks of meat left and wrapped up in a small pack strapped about her shoulders and chest. The hide and fur, horns, feathers, bones and hooves were tucked away into the pack and waiting to be proudly revealed upon her arrival.

She hurried with her usual caution, only truly sprinting once the tents of the Circus came into view. She remembered there not being a show today so there was a small pause of hesitation at the treeline upon coming across a fairly empty camp, but she resumed with a less than speedy trot of a pace down to the grounds and towards Bugaboo's den. It was almost an eerie sight... only a few set of paws milling about. It was also a bit strange to see Murru sitting just outside the front of his den and sharpening his knives. Normally, he was making attempts to flirt with anything else that could walk, but today his focus was rigid and set on the blades he cherished. She flicked her tail in greeting to him as she passed but didn't really stick around to... erm... "stir up conversation".... He usually did all the talking of course, but with his attention settled to the few square feet around his figure, she managed to prance on by with little to no interraction.

Ears soon perked and tail flicked upward again as Bugaboo's den came within direct eyesight and she couldn't help but smile. Her stride slowed to a far more casual canter before lifting her paws up the last few steps. Claw soon lifted with the intent of tapping upon the door in the form of a knock.

Indeed he was falling in love with Silent.

Bugaboo closed his eyes tightly at those mental words that whispered throughout his mind. 'Weaver help me.....Weaver help us all.....' The large Tah prayed within the remaining spaces of his mind that wasn't filled with those former thoughts and the images of Silent. Grumbling some, he turned to open the door of his den to see if she was within sight but paused in surprise at the sight of Silent right there. It was like his mind materialized her right there.

Maybe he should tell her that today was not a good day to spend time together. But she had made her way over here and she was also carrying a pack. Bugaboo wasn't aware of the distance between his home and where Silent lived but it was probably far...and she came alone. That was not good. The protective instincts rose within him yet made him scowl at the thought of Silent being alone...and any weirdos that may lurk. Such thoughts made him forget that he was supposed to be in the here and now....looking like an overly grumpy Tah.

Paw flinched back an inch or two, claw still extended in the preparation of knocking. It was the shock of the door swinging open before her knocking that made her pause, but seeing him standing there brought that ever familiar smile to her lips.

Paw then settled as she caught sight of his scowl. Brows quickly stitched together and head tilted as expression turned from elation to concern. Ears pivoted forward to focus fully on him as she scanned him over a time or two. Was he hurt? Injured?... She peered around him briefly. Did he have company and she had come at a bad time...?

Silent's tail twitched faintly behind her as she began to worry. Was she only allowed to visit when he was doing a show? If so, that was silly... but.. if that's what he wanted to keep to, she supposed that she could accommodate. She stayed poised on the steps, unsure on whether she should walk in or wait for the invitation.

WC: 167

krusnik05
It was that faint twitch of Silent's tail that caught the beast's attention with the stillness of the camp around them. Blinking a few times, he tilted his head to see that there was a concerned look on Silent's face. Frowning deeply, he stepped back and motioned for the Nan to enter with a carefully gentled wave of his paw. Bugaboo was still getting used to....gentleness and kindness especially with his movements as he didn't want the wrong idea or impression to happen. Stepping aside, he looked at the pack on Silent believing at the concern came from her holding that and not from the scowl he had seconds ago. "Would you like me to help you carry that? You should be more careful when traveling with packs." He murmured scowling again.

What if someone had jumped out of the shadows of the trees or the grass or from behind boulders to pounce and attack her? They could have stolen her away from him. The idea of not seeing Silent ever again because of some invisible and unknown villain made his stomach clench with annoyance. "Did your travel here safely?" He grumbled in his own concerned type of way, struggling with his emotions.

WC: 203

Seruta
At the offer to enter, she perked back up and practically skipped into the den. She trilled a faint ripple of air over her tongue in thanks and smiled, moving off to the side to start to shimmy her way out of her back.

Silent shook her head at the offer to help carry her pack. Nope! She was ready to take it off! It thumped to the floor of his den and she audibly exhaled a sigh of relief. She'd ignored the sensation of it growing heavy on her as she traveled but now shook her shoulders now that they were free of the weight.

At his next inquiry, she turned. A warm smile back on her face as she nodded. Yes. Her journey here was safe and uneventful. Her confirmation was followed by a small sharp inhale. The gasp was accompanied by a wide prideful grin. It was almost smug in her efforts to express it to him while she stood over her pack, one paw lightly patting it a time or two before she slid it towards him. Once it was offered, she settled into a sit, watching and waiting with baited breath in anticipation for him to take a look at the contents within.

Letting the door of his den close, he watched her kindly decline the offered assistance to help with the pack and the relief that went through her when she took it off. Tilting his head to the side in a faint hint of curiosity at the pack that Silent patted gently and slid towards him. Furrowing his brows, the Tah used both of his paws to open the pack and inside....it made his eyebrows lift up in surprise, which was absolutely rare to happen especially with the array of contents that were presented.

Looking up at Silent, he didn't know what to say but touched each item carefully understanding that the bones and remains were materials to be used. An ever so faint smile passed before it disappeared that Silent had gone out of her way to do that for him. To bring this to him and to want to give this to him. Suddenly he went towards Silent and pressed his forehead against her cheek and brought her close into a hug with his paw around her shoulders. Silent.....was a surprising Nan. A wonderful Nan.

He was falling hard for her.

WC: 192

Seruta
Silent's smile only seemed to widen as he opened her pack. Her tail gave a faint jitter in her excitement as he inspected the pieces - Bork bits, as it were - from her first successful solo-hunt that she was clearly very proud of.

Another faint gasp left her as he next did something only a little startling. It wasn't the closeness that caught her off guard, but more or less the swiftness in which he moved. Her muscles tensed faintly before relaxing almost completely at the hug. Her own paw lifted and curled up to his shoulder as neck leaned into neck for the embrace before lightly patting his shoulder a time or two.

She felt her cheeks grow warm for a quick second as ideals began to flood her mind again. This was why she kept coming. Why she kept visiting. To be this close and to never leave - she couldn't count how many times she felt herself break whenever she had to wander back 'home' at the end of the day. It was an ideal that she had started to realize while living with a bonded pair already. Their closeness, despite the pair being oddly different... Not to mention the time or two she overheard Rane worrying over Fane off on a hunt or out... doing whatever it was a Dark Tah did to stretch his legs. She didn't often leave the den without Rane so she figured she'd never find out that bit... Still, the ideal plagued her and deep down she began to worry that she had been misinterpreting those simply as feelings and not truly as the spiritual bonds that they were.

Calmly returning to the present, she huffed faintly and nudged him aside, parting from the hug, but definitely not shoving him... There was something she wanted him to see. They were gifts for him, clearly, but...

She pulled the pack closer and shifted the pelt a bit, exposing the area that was the neck to show him where teeth had punctured and taken it down... Her teeth.

WC: 343

krusnik05
Bugaboo's eyes closed at their close contact. It felt natural to be this way, to be so close, pelt to pelt. There was warmth with Silent and....truth be told he rather enjoyed it. Visions passed through his mind like a whirl but one stopped with full and clear focus: An image of Bugaboo waking up day after day with Silent at his side just as the day turned to night with Silent at his side, safe and sound to sleep. It made his heart jump and tremble at the idea of such an image. Yet their connection was broken when she nudged him to grab his attention. Frowning slightly, he looked down at the collection of claws and beaks, when she presented to him a well cut pelt but on that pelt was a set of teeth. In the right spot where a jugular would have been....Bugaboo looked up with understanding his pale golden eyes. Those weren't just anyone's teeth...they belonged to her. There was a wave of pride that went through his heart and he smiled just a little bit more. "Those belong to you?" He wanted to clarify and nodded as he touched the area lightly. "You have come along well in learning to survive, Silent." Came his gruff reply. "Thank you for these gifts......though you being here is gift enough...." He said bluntly and with sincerity.

Falling even harder.

WC: 232

Seruta
Waves of pride washed over the Nan as he understood. She nodded nearly enthusiastically to answer him before turning a bashful grin to one side at the compliment and thanks.

Silent had come quite far. Only awake for a few months now and she was practically taking care of herself better than she ever could have hoped. There were times where she found it hard to believe that she truly would not be here were it not for him. She'd have continued to struggle for hours longer... likely would have grown hungry or ran into more unfavorable B'alam in trying to find her place. Either her being here was destiny, or she was just really really lucky.

Silent liked to think both.

She'd recollected herself from her momentarilly timid gesture and had stood. A paw lifted to very lightly and playfully shove him - likely to teasingly vex him for making her blush - as she huffed a few times in her laughter. The shove was short-lived, however as her entire body seemed to freeze at the sound of rolling thunder far in the distance. The sound was (at the moment) still a ways off, but when her eyes met his in that moment, there was something foreign dancing across her eyes. Well, foreign in the matter of Silent. Bugaboo would have been very aware of that look and would likely recognize it in an instant.

Fear...

Terror and anxiety ruffled through her every being and she found herself nearly leaping up to look out the window. She hadn't smelled rain before when she was heading here! Then again... she wasn't really paying attention... Her main concern was coming to see him! Share with him her triumph and her spoils! Not... this! Her eyes remained fixed at the window, ears now fully alert. Maybe it would be a small storm. Or maybe she had just imagined the sound. Yeah... That was it. She was just hearing things! All these things began to run through her mind as she made attempts to calm herself down for the moment, holding on to the hopes that the thunder was just some twisted figment of her imagination.

WC: 361

krusnik05
Bugaboo looked down at the items individually, touching them gently with his paw while the ideas were beginning to go through his mind of what use they will become including as back up tools and even a possible new mask that would cover the body. The beast was going to evolve into something so heinous that he may cause heart attacks and fear phobias. Good It almost pleased the Tah but not as much as the thought and envisioning Silent having to collect these items just for him. Clenching his jaw tightly, he touched over the bite marks of the deceased prey imaging Silent applying her knowledge and instinct, even natural skills that were discovered and tapped into, just to capture this one with her teeth.

It was amazing that in the months since he had first met and pretty much banished Silent, she had grown into her own paws to become a well skilled hunter. Silent was able to take care of herself and it was in majority thanks to Rane having seemingly adopted her. Yet those thoughts were hit on pause when he was playfully shoved by the mute Nan and he looked up with a scowl at her. Such an annoying Nan but Bugaboo did not feel any true annoyance....in fact it was amusement that he felt. Seeing her laugh especially when it made her blue eyes sparkle did something to his heart and maybe his soul? Yes it did something to his soul.

Looking back down with a faint smile he wanted to hide from Silent, he began to put everything up in order and picked up the pack to place it behind where his low work table. Setting it there, his eyes flickered at the sound of thunder coming from a distance. Bugaboo had gone out for a early morning prowl and had gone far enough to smell the faint scent of rain though it had been brilliantly sunny. When Bugaboo came back he had hoped it wouldn't rain but it seems that the Grand Weaver needed to water their world. Yet.....Bugaboo froze in his spot as he straightened up. There was a scent that caressed his nose and seemed to turn his head towards the source as if guided by an actual paw......to look at Silent.

Fear

The Tah observed the movements that spoke to him of fear and anxiety. Bugaboo knew it well from the audience as he evoked such fear from them and craved it during the performances. Yet he did not like it at all that it came from Silent, his Silent. Another sound of thunder exploded the sky above them and seemed to be a little closer than the first one. No, he couldn't let Silent know fear. Walking forward, he brushed against her side firmly yet with a great deal of warmth and care bursting forth from the protectiveness he felt for Silent. Rubbing his cheek against her, the large Tah turned his head to whisper. "Nothing is going to harm you while you are with me Silent. Not even a storm." He said with sincerity in his promise....it almost sounded like a vow.

WC: 525

Seruta
Chocolate tipped ears twitched left and right as eyes caught the faint flicker of lightning. Her breath held tight in her chest and her heartbeat quickened almost instantly. Muscles flared and tensed as the sound finally met her ears of a second crash from the heavens. She was so engulfed in her panic of the coming storm, she nearly leapt in surprise when Bugaboo brushed against her. A gasp was made and her entire figure flinched before head turned and ears lowered. Eyes focused on his for a moment before she allowed his words to soak in and settle.

'Nothing is going to harm you while you're with me...'

The words alone washed over her and seemed to settle her a bit more. The fear continued to linger around her and likely would for some time, but somehow hearing those words come from him made her feel better... safer... She trusted him to hold true to his promise on that.

Another rumble echoed over them and her muscles twitched again. This time, they turned her entire body into his, head pressing into his neck to hopefully cover her eyes and ears. She buried her face into his fur and trembled a little for the moment. There was a faint rush of air from her lips - her "Thanks" - given, despite how shakey it seemed to be expressed.

Eyes widening in surprise at her face buried against his fur and nearly glued to his side, the large Tah relaxed immediately as if they were placed together like puzzle pieces in perfect. Silent then turned her whole body into his as if using him to cover her eyes and ears from the sight and sounds of the storm coming over them. Nuzzling, her ears he whispered gently to her, something he didn't know was even possible to possess within him. "Allow me to lock the door and windows of my caravan." The large Tah looked over at the corner where he had a thick pile of pelt created to be a nest for his large form. It was warm and spacious....and would be a good spot to have Silent huddled rather than the middle of his caravan. "Go to the pelts and I will protect you from the storm." He promised.

WC: 152

Seruta
There was some hesitation that seemed to keep her glued to him despite his offer. She didn't want to move... or she couldn't... Either way, her paws wouldn't lift aside from the random shiver that seemed to rack through her entire being at he mere idea...

There was a lull in the rumbling, still somewhat distant, that seemed to give her just enough breath to pick up on his words and reluctantly pull away. She swallowed hard, but nodded, glancing around briefly to catch sight of the pelts he mentioned then turned to carefully step over to them. Her paws were light in their steps, as if she wasn't careful to tip-toe then the storm might hear her and find her. Once another rumble sounded, her body sank low to the ground and paws quickly shuffled her the rest of the way, nearly diving into the pelts and burrowing her head into them. Tail coiled tightly against her side and forepaws quickly batted down her ears. After all, if she couldn't hear or see the storm, the storm couldn't hear or see her either!

WC: 184

krusnik05
Bugaboo was watchful of the Nan before he quickly and with efficient steps locked each of the windows then made sure that his door was secured with the many latches that he had created. Moving around to light the rest of the torches to bring about light within and ensuring that only small pockets of openings to allow for air to enter and to ventilate his caravan. Looking at Silent, he felt his heart squeeze tightly and he moved towards her slowly and careful to step onto the nest. Taking the pelts that covered her head, he tilted his head to the side, sitting there. "Do not hide from the storm. It will not come in here to hurt you. I won't allow it."

WC: 124

Seruta
Her figure started to calm once her head had been covered. Tail tip merely jittered in anxiety driven panic as the sound of thunder seemed much farther away now. The careful pawstep was registered before a gasp left her maw. Her shelter was being removed...?

Wide pools of sapphire flashed up at him with already staggered and shallow breathing as he pulled away the pelt. Ears quickly tipped up at his words then fell back against her skull. She felt - in some small part - ashamed for him seeing her in such a state. In her eyes, he'd always been a pillar of strength. Never afraid of anything as he tended to quickly make others afraid of him. Knowing that he was witnessing her at her weakest forced her to clench her eyes shut and look away to mildly pout a bit before sighing and lifting herself up back onto her paws.

Though she stood, her figure stayed rather low to the ground, cowering slightly as she turned around on the pelts and softly bumped her head against his leg. Each new rumble brought about a small jump or twitch of her figure before settling into a ripple of a shiver. If anything, she was trying to heed his words but it was obviously one hell of an internal battle. Very slowly, she settled herself back down, one paw tucking under her chest before looking up at him again. There was some small bit of a hidden apology in her eyes. She would rather he didn't have to deal with her seemingly childish fear, but at the same time she was greatful it was him that was trying to help her through it. He was remaining calm and seemingly understanding.... Unlike Rane who would giggle and tease her for such a fear...

With silent apology (hopefully) given and received, she averted her gaze again, ears still plastered low on her skull in attempts to wait out the rest of the storm. She felt.... safer here. Like he truly could scare it away and it would never harm her... ever!

WC: 348

krusnik05
Observing the emotions that went through the eyes of Silent and watching her convey to him her thoughts and feelings with her facial expression, Bugaboo found this strange sense of peace within him. Moving forward he leaned in to rub his forehead against her side then up to her neck while finding the right spot instinctively to settled right next to her. Purring softly, he licked her cheek then her ears to groom her in a soothing manner. "There is nothing wrong with fear. There is no shame in fear. It makes us stronger to want to face those things that we fear even if we may not like it." He said softly, encouragingly.

WC: 114

Seruta
An ear rolled back in soft surprise at... well, at how tender and calm he was being. Even his purring - which somewhat sounded much the same as the rolling thunder outside - was soothing to her and she turned her neck a bit to stretch her chin over his paw. His grooming also helped and she let out a slow, ragged, but also relieved sigh for the shared comfort.

Her ear returned to focus on him as he spoke and she soaked in his words yet again. She seemed to drift into the odd thought that he seemed to know just what to say and when... as if he could almost read her thoughts. The two of them had come a long way for him to understand her unspoken language...

As if curious, her head tipped lightly to one side, eyes glancing slightly at him in a questioning manner. Her intent was to ask him if he feared anything... if he could read her thoughts, she'd be truly impressed! However, she imagined he'd begin another game of twenty question - what she'd dubbed the game that Rane played often - to try and figure out what she truly meant to ask.

Bugaboo was caught up in soothing Silent so much so that....

He truly was falling for Silent....

It made his heart squeeze tightly that that realization was beginning to form in his mind.

The Tah mentally shook himself to focus again on Silent and noticed the way she looked at him. Given the topic he started with, he gave a faint smile to Silent before nodding. "I am afraid of something but I do not know how to explain it." Bugaboo was afraid......he was afraid of falling love. In fact the worse of it is that he was falling in love.....with Silent.

WC: 102

Seruta
Ears perked high at that and a look of curiosity and wonder flashed over her eyes.

What could the great Beast who instills fear in the hearts of many others possibly fear?

Probably the more surprising thing for the moment was that he once again read her thoughts. It was almost as if-... She quickly shifted, eyes averting briefly to hopefully hide the underlying blush of realization to where her thoughts were traveling. They were nothing like Rane and Fane. They couldn't be bonded! Bugaboo had once - long ago now - shoved her away! Now that they were more or less friends, he still had that small underlying sense of annoyance when she was around. She'd seen it a time or two... but then... he never shoved her away since they reunited. In fact, he vowed to never do that again, didn't he? Or was that just her imagination?

She huffed inwardly at herself and shoved those thoughts once more to the side. He didn't feel the same. He tolerated her. Simple as that. Even now, he was putting up with comforting her against her own stupid little fear of a sound, but he wouldn't want to do that all the time........... would he?

Returning to the present at hand, she tipped her head back towards him, eyes shifting to look at him curiously once more. Brows twisted and shifted in another silent question, silently encouraging him to continue and explain.

WC: 240

krusnik05
That's it.

It was real.

It was true.

The Beast was....

Falling...

Had fallen in love....

Bugaboo mentally scowled at himself though he kept his facial expressions pleasant and calm. The Tah shook his head at the encouragement to continue and explain the fear that he had. He wasn't sure how Silent would accept it given their rocky first encounter and the tentative building of friendship. After all they were far too different and....if Silent was his bonded, he would have to let the Ring Leader know to accept her or else. Bugaboo looked away but leaned closer against Silent to feel the comfort of her warmth. The way her eyes looked at him, the smiles, the laughter....the fear that provoked him to want to, if not, need to protect her. The way his heart felt was peace. The soul within him seem to feel balance and it even sang a silent song for and to Silent. The Beast's eyes became distant with these running thoughts and feelings. "I do not have the courage to share my fear." He stated simply and honestly.

WC: 183

Seruta
There was a perk to her features. Surprise that he was willing to admit such a fault. No courage? Him?!

Eyes drifted off in wonder for a moment, confusion and bafflement (and a faint trace of disappointment) littering her face for a moment before every bit of her seemed to soften. It was subtle, but her eyes lit up a little as she returned to look at him. A faint smile spread on her lips and she shifted a paw to lightly pat on his arm. She understood. She'd give him time to explain or tell her whenever he felt it necessary. If anything, she was here for him and willing to support him should he accept her help in the matter.... whatever it was...

As if to further show her support, she bumped her head into his shoulder, air rushing over a rolling tongue in her efforts to mimic a purr. Her head lightly rubbed against his should and neck before she huffed at the sound of rain now beating upon the windows. The Weaver was determined to keep her here today, it seemed. With a slightly frustrated sigh to the sound, she stretched her neck once more to rest her chin on his foreleg, one ear nestled into the fur where his chest met his neck and listened to the thrum of his heartbeat. It was definitely a far more soothing sound than that menacing thunder...

WC: 238

krusnik05
Bugaboo was surprised yet again with Silent. Unable to react fast enough, he looked down at her head where her chin rested on his foreleg and her ear seemed to cuddle close to his chest.......the vision burned into his mind. It was perfect. She was perfect. They were perfect.

She was his soul mate.

It made his heart beat rise in tempo at those words whispered through his mind, strong and crystal clear. Yet should he tell her? The large beast wasn't sure especially given the rocky history when they met. Maybe it was beast if he didn't say anything yet the Beast's ears twitched at the sound of rain.....

Looking up sharply, he glowered at the storm that was outside the warmth and safety of his caravan. Great, they were stuck in there together for who knows how long......

You should tell her.....

Tempted his mind.......much to Bugaboo's annoyance at himself. No he was not going to do it. Even as his pale gold eyes went down to gaze at the top of the golden fur of Silent. It was soft and perfectly in place. Bugaboo had to tell her. Yes indeed he had to tell her and get it over with or else it will never be said.....but was he ready for the rejection?

It wouldn't be the first time he was rejected. The world rejected Bugaboo the monster and he made sure of it during every show.

WC: 240

Seruta
Resting on his arm, she tried to ignore the storm. Her eyes closed with a faint shudder and a huff at another roll of thunder. She then squinted slightly, pushing away the sounds and focusing on the one that wasn't as frightening...

Thu-thump... thu-thump...

Muscles settled and relaxed as all focus shifted to the steady beating of Bugaboo's heart. It was soothing and rhythmatic. Calming and... well... perfect. Her eyes cracked open softly and seemed to stare off at something in front of her nose as she drifted back to earlier thoughts. Thoughts of how often she thought of him and the possibility of one day having just this moment. The thoughts that maybe, just maybe, he might be her other half. Between watching Rane and Fane and Rane's stories of Yolitzi and bonded pairs... It was all starting to seem more possible...

There was two things that Silent wasn't entirely sure on, however. One, being the fact that she very much assumed Bugaboo wasn't looking for someone to bond to. The other... her... After their rocky start and their somewhat rocky reunion, would he accept her? Would he... believe in such a thing?

There was a lot about Bugaboo that she quickly realized she knew so little of. Yet, at the same time, she felt as if she knew just about everything... It only further confused her. Much like the sudden rise in tempo he gave off....

Her ear gave a gentle twitch as his heartbeat quickened slightly and the further confusion made her blink and lift her head carefully. Sapphire orbs turned to look at him both confused and worried. Her gaze shifted all about him, wondering if he had maybe gathered an injury or seen something to startle him. Ears then pivoted forward with a faint twitch of a tilt to her head as if asking if he was ok.

Bugaboo felt the movement of Silent's head lifting up and no doubt looking at him. Pale golden eyes were hidden when he closed his eyes to take in a deep breath to calm himself. To tell someone what the whispers of his instinct were telling him in a crystal clear voice.....it was frightening. More so given that while he accepted the rejection of the world at large he felt as though he would not be able to accept the rejection from Silent. Putting aside their strained introduction to think of the here and now....he would have the pressure from those around Silent who no doubt accepted her as their friend to not hurt her.

Opening his eyes he looked down to see Silent look at him in a manner that asked him if he was okay. You are learning to read her body language without having to struggle....does that not tell you that you know her? Does your soul not feel at peace in this moment with her close to you? Does it not roar out in pain when she leaves and is gone until she returns to you? Tell her now.....Tell her you have fallen.

Those words flowed from the depths of his soul to his heart then through his mind with the truth. A truth that was provided with the perfect opportunity to not waste while they were tucked away from the storm raging outside the warmth and protection of his caravan. Bugaboo shook his head slightly at Silent to answer her question. He was not okay. The Tah clenched his jaw tightly before staring down at Silent.

Bugaboo was not one to mince words or sugar coat them. Nor was he the type to give poetry or flowery words.....The Tah was direct and blunt which made it easy to push people away. Clearly now enough of thinking to the past as an excuse to not move forward and use that honesty for a better purpose. Came his mental thoughts which made him scowl with his eyes looking up as if he could glare at his mind's thoughts.

Clearing his throat the Tah lifted his head slightly to look down to Silent. "My fear is that you will reject me if I say that....that I believe you are my mate. My soul mate......" Bugaboo held himself still to not move an inch while the words tumbled out of his mouth. "My Yolilitztli...."

Silent was patient, though the worry continued to linger over her. She could see the turmoil rolling over him and wanted desperately to tell him it would all be ok, but she didn't budge... make a sound... she almost didn't blink.

Her ears rolled forward once he began to speak and soaked in each word. It wasn't until he spoke the word 'Yolilitztli' did she gasp faintly. Eyes going wide and fixed on him as if in full shock. Her heart skipped a beat before she felt her eyes start to move again, drifting around as if in fairly deep in thought. So she was right? Rane had mentioned that both parties would feel of the same. That her ideals of happiness would be matched. And matched they definitely were. Both of them were worried of being rejected. Denied. Sent away...

If she was being completely honest with herself, Silent didn't even know how to truly react! But at the same time, she couldn't leave him suffering without a response or an answer. She had to tell him she had felt the same... but how?

With her eyes still darting about, she caught a glimpse of her pawograph pinned to the wall about his crafting bench. Her heart skipped another beat before she felt herself rising to her paws almost mechanically. Thoughts gathered up her travel bag and lifted it to the table as she stepped over to it then carefully plucked her own pawograph from his wall. She then frowned slightly at what she was about to do and sighed forcing herself to continue with her plan.

The sound of tearing paper soon echoed into the caravan as she tore the paper in half. Two solid rips came from where she stood as her brow stitched together in determined concentration. However, before he could make some sort of response or exclamation, she turned, bringing two halves of paper in front of him and resting them at his forepaws. One was half of her own pawograph, the other half of his. She'd been carrying it with her whenever she had her pack. She brought the two torn edges together as if to make it one then lightly pressed her paw on it in hopes that he would understand that she felt the same way.

Here it comes. The scoffed rejection of his confession that will definitely be the first and last time he will ever say anything to anyone in his entire life. If Silent rejected him….he would banish her from his life because he wouldn't want to simply be friends after this moment. Every part of Bugaboo tensed including the tightening of his jaw as he watched the reaction come from the golden Nan.

Yet the rejection didn't come….what was she doing?

Bugaboo frowned deeply and moved slightly up with a small tilt of his head to watch her….what was she doing take the pawograph from his work station!? Growling low in warning, the large Tah gave Silent a moment to continue to understand what in the world she was getting at. Then again what if this was her way of rejecting him. Great It was better than his heart being taken out of his chest and ripped cleanly down the middle as she had from the parchment she ripped.

Sighing deeply, Bugaboo continued to watch Silent as he was rooted to the spot when she also had the pawograph he had given her and ripped that in half as well. At least if she was ripping those up to reject him she wasn't making a mess of it. But that didn't seem to fit the expression or even the determined movements from Silent. Furrowing his brows and coaching himself to be patient, Bugaboo looked down at her taking a piece of the halved pawographs from the two that she ripped and brought them together presenting before him. Staring Bugaboo's mind worked to understand but it didn't have to work too hard given that instinct flared within him. The fact that she had his pawograph with her made Bugaboo feel something warm in his heart but more so that she showed him…..this wasn't rejection.

Sitting up with a stoic face, Bugaboo stared until he pressed his nose against Silent.

It was acceptance.

There was this wild joy he had never experienced before flowing through him and bursting as understanding of Silent feeling the same way…..there was no going back and Bugaboo knew that he would do better to take care of Silent and…..he would love her. Deeply and with everything that he was he would love her.

Silent belonged to him.....and Bugaboo would prove that to Silent.

Silent was frozen for a moment, her own thoughts falling in line to process his reaction. She took in each and every flux of emotion before realization seemed to dawn and wash over him. It was... exhilarating! It was as if she'd she'd found something she'd worried for hours over losing.

Another pause came over her as he seemed to understand. That stoic face staring into her own worried features that maybe she gone a little overboard with tearing their prints, but then... he touched her nose...

Blue eyes blinked wide for a split second before she visibly relaxed. Shoulders, Neck, Head... all sagged softly while a smile spread on her lips and gently pressed her nose back. He understood! If she could purr in the moment, she definitely would have. Her smile never faded and she flicked her tail in effort to bite back the happy little tears that threatened to p***k the sides of her eyes. She kept her nose to his for a moment before she moved her head forward, brushing their cheeks together and sharing their scent before curling her head and neck around his. One paw lifted to further hug him close.

And... surprisingly! She didn't jump as another thunder rumble sounded over them! She was lost in the happiness of their moment. All fears swept away for the time being.

There was a peace that settled over Bugaboo was.....indescribable given that it was soul deep that he felt that peace. That sense of rightness increased in such a way that there were no more shadows of a doubt or even the possibility of a shadow of a doubt that Silent was his true mate. With their noses pressed together he watched as Silent moved further to brush their cheeks together causing a ripple of warmth to flow throughout his form and burst his heart open for this Nan until they seemed to be hugging. Lifting his own paw he wrapped it around her shoulder and brought her further close with his nose pressed close to her fur to breathe in her scent. Mine.

"Stay with me Silent. Stay with me starting today." He rumbled softly.

Nuzzling into his warmth and scent she smiled big, paw hugging him closer until his own paw caught her by surprise. A short quick gasp left her as he brought her closer, her hindlegs slipping and flumping under her from the 'surprise attack'. There was a brief pause where she blinked wide eyed from the sudden motion then her whole body started to shake and tremble. Small huffs left her maw and her head tipped back - laughter erupting from the mute Nan as she nuzzled even more into his chest.

Upon his request for her to stay... honestly, she was relieved to hear him ask. Rane and Fane were a kind pair and she more often than not got the idea that others weren't quite as willing and laid back as they were... but she didn't see herself living with them for much longer. Not to mention, now with this entirely complete feeling she was experiencing in this moment... she would have hated to even think about going back again. She assumed she'd have to at least visit, tell them her plan to stay here with Bugaboo and gather the rest of her things (which wasn't much, now that she thought of it) and say her farewells... but being asked to stay with him now felt even more right as she gently nodded her response against the side of his neck. She'd stay. She'd need no encouragement or coaxing.

Bugaboo grumbled softly at her laughter, it looked and felt like laughter coming from Silent before he licked her cheek lightly. He didn't mean for his hug to be such an impact to how she was leaning against him but the large brute couldn't help it. There was this awakening of his soul when around her yet instead of it going back to a dormant state it was fully awake especially when she accepted to stay with him. There was also relief that he didn't have to go through anymore obstacles to convince her to stay with him and well away from Rane....and well away from any other potential, more charming males out there. The large Tah closed his eyes and nuzzled her neck gently before saying awkwardly as though he was struggling with embarrassment? No perhaps shyness..... "Welcome....home. Welcome home, Silent."

Silent felt a warmth rise to her cheeks again, blush forming as the words finally hit her.

'Welcome Home...'

Blue eyes lifted and glanced around, fulling taking in the Beast's caravan. In a way, she was committing it to memory, learning everything's place and detail... but she was also taking in the room as if imagining it to be her home.

It was small. Quaint. A bit ruggish and manly with all the furs, bones and horns and things, and the crafting bench... But... to Silent. It was perfect. She felt as if she fit. She didn't need large echoing rooms like Rane and Fane had. She didn't have wings to spread out within them. She didn't need to find a light source to find her way to the bed. There was more than enough light coming in from the windows... Wait... light?

Perking again, Silent lifted herself carefully onto all fours and stepped carefully over to the window. The storm clouds were drifting away and the sun was peeking back out in its last few hours of daylight. Ears perked further higher as her eyes landed on a rainbow cascading across her view and she soon turned a bright and jovial grin towards Bugaboo, head twitching as if to gesturing him to come to her side and see the sight for himself before it would fade away.

Bugaboo watched Silent glance around at her new home. Granted it was big enough to fit them both it was still rough with all of his crafting items and bench, the spot where her pawograph used to be, the nest of furs they had in this corner.......and that was about it. There were several winds and a door to complete the set with walls, roof and floor. On the outside where wheels and hitch but otherwise it was still cozy and comfortable. The Tah furrowed his brows slightly to see where he could improve to make it more sturdy for them and comfortable so that Silent could place her touches in here.

Yet those thoughts stopped when Bugaboo saw Silent motion with her head towards the window that she opened to let in.....was that light? Blinking slowly, the beast stood up and walked to her side to look out with the soft breeze of rain and wet grass entered the caravan to lighten up the gloom that had been left by the storm. Bugaboo observed the clearing sky before letting his eyes roam higher until he spotted a brilliant and glorious rainbow. It was almost as if from where they stood, it shimmered with crystals along each color. More than anything....it filled his heart with joy to see it with Silent.

Bugaboo took his gaze away from the rainbow to look at Silent. She was his rainbow to his sky, and little did she know that she was the sun that chased the storm from his heart to reveal itself and accept her at his mate. He fought so hard against destiny and fate but now it was clear as the beautiful rainbow, or the blue of Silent's eyes. Leaning close he pressed his nose against her cheek with his tail curling around hers to hold tail lightly.
