Oh this was exciting, and the neko's ears poked up and tail wiggled a little as
he got closer again in excitement. "That's why you wouldn't stay in this
place! This shrines about ta cave in any day now, it ain't safe." He said.
"Become a raider, like me~!" He said, his face perky as if he truly
thought this was the best plan of action for the other male. Haru liked him, he
didn't want him to get hurt by the other raiders, or the masters that lived in
the city for that matter. He knew the dangers of not being a raider in a territory
like this, so why not give him the opportunity to alleviate that fear?
Though it was also questionable what his motivations were at this point. Were
they really for the better of the raider clan, or was this simply for his own
amusement and desires. Either way, he meant no harm for now, even if the
other male would think otherwise.

Bleed: Stopped.
The neko might not have been the brightest bulb in the box, but this reaction
from the other hurt. It showed in the boys face and general demeanor as his
ears tilt back and he backed away. He didn't understand what was so wrong
about being a raider... it was so much better than being a slave or starving.
"Not... all of us are like that." He mumbled. At one point in this
conversation, he did think he was building up a friend and ally, but now he
realized how impossible that was. This man viewed him as a sort of monster,
understandable. It was a cold reality.
Haru shook his head and moved to stand up with a groan. He may have been
recovered a great deal, but his body still ached to a point. "If I'm that kind of
monster, I guess I should leave ya be then. Before I kill ya for no reason."
he said, tone having changed to something much less peppy. Not cold like a
murderer, just... hurt. In a way, he was jealous that the other male didn't have
to rely on joining a band of murderers to survive, then on the other hand he
also liked the people he lived with now and the lack of constant worry.
After that statement, the feline would turn and start his decent down the
stairs. "Thanks again for patching me up." He said and his hand came
up in a wave.

The feline did stop, yet he wasn’t entirely sure if he should. Yes, he’d liked
this boy up until this point but being considered an unruly murderer wasn’t
exactly something he wanted to deal with. It was the kind of bad feeling he
got from being in slavery, being trash to someone. He didn’t turn, he listened
while facing the forest from the bottom step with his hand placed on the
peeling red painted gate.
Turning his head Haru spoke, “It’s still shitty to judge folk for the deeds of
others. I’m a raider because it’s safe, not because I like killing.” There was
still hurt in his eyes, and he probably sounded a little harsh. “I don’t know
who hurt ya, but I ain’t any different. I’m happier here than I ever was as some
sick experiment.” His tail flickered in an irritated manner as he spoke,
showing his discomfort of this subject.
Of course, Haru didn’t realize that he was actually one of the lucky ones.
Perhaps it was a cute face or maybe his coming from an abusive home like
his leader, but he was treated better than many of the raiders.
Ooc: Heheheheh, it wasn’t his intention but yup he did! Haru’s just a sensitive boy.

(OOC: )Eli frowned as his eyes went to the ground and scratched the side of his head "It is shitty, I know..." he sighed before looking up "But please understand that I've nearly been killed by some raiders, it's the only reason I reacted like I did..." he then gave a small smiled as he stepped forward just a little bit, hoping to show his goodwill. Eli definitely never really talked this much with a Raider before and now he felt worried, were all the raiders who attacked him as evil as he thought they were? It was something that he had convinced himself was true long ago, that all raiders were no better than those slave driver mercenaries. But now here he was, worrying that he might have killed good people who were just doing what they needed to do to survive. It wasn't something he could mull over right now, at the moment he needed to make things right with the raider before him due to his biased comments "But I please know that I'm glad that you found a place that makes you happy..." he explained before sighing a bit as he watched the Neko for a moment. He had caught that ending bit about being experimented on, something he could understand. While he wasn't treated like that he had seen similar things on his travels. Eli would then glance up a bit and watch Haru for a moment before shaking his head "Haru...I mean no disrespect with this, it's just...on the...off chance that I would agree to come with you...I'd like to know before hand...what does your group do...specifically?" Eli asked with a curious look. Haru may have been different but that doesn't mean his friends were as well, he still had to be at least a bit cautious. |

Haru sighed. He could see that the other male meant well now, not only by his
words but his current body language. He was also getting to understand Eli’s
reasoning for being so quick to judge and the hatred he held for the raiders. It
was… understandable. He seemed to have an unpleasant past as well. It was
why the boy would break down and act in a more favorable manner, to agree.
“I guess… folk aren't all like me.” The feline said hesitantly, and with
those words he would willingly step up a few stairs before sitting down again.
That’s right, he’d stay for now. Haru looked up at the other male and
continued in order to answer his question. “We survive.” He’d begin
simply.
Sure the motives of every raider would vary, some were far more malicious
than others, like his friend Kurose. They might kill without much thought, but it
was usually for a cause such as to protect their lands. “Uhm…” He said
and pondered the thought for a moment before answering. “Everyone has
their role, but the main goal is to protect our territory. Some folk that don’t like
fighting or can’t, work the fields or cater ta Dante. Others like me patrol and
fight off enemies.” Haru explained. There wasn’t much to it, and they didn’t
have a set goal that the feline knew of. He hadn’t a clue that the camp was
preparing for… something.
“I don’t expect ya to wanna join. Not if ya don’t like us… but I don’t really
wanna leave ya here unsafe.” He said, and it was the truth. The whole
reason why he made the offer wasn’t just because the man could be useful,
he also didn’t want to leave the guy who just saved him in a potentially unsafe
place.

Haru nod. “Course! Ya saved my life!” He said, his demeanor becoming
peppier again as time went on. He might not entirely forgive being considered
a mindless murderer like some of the others, but he was beginning to
understand where the thought would derive from.
Then came an expected question, one that Haru probably should have
thought about before uttering his leader’s name. No. To this feline his leader
should be known, whether it be for fear or just general knowledge. It was no
secret.
The feline nod. “Mhmm, he’s the leader of the Armageddon clan. He ain’t
bad unless ya give him a reason to be I don’t think. He yells a lot and can be
kinda harsh, but he means well for most of us.” He explained, and these
words were entirely from personal experience, which might have been better
than it was for others. “He don’t like them master folk, so he’s saved a lot of
us from that life. Says we’re worth more than how we were treated by people
like them.” Dante wasn’t always a nice leader, but he was definitely one
that treated his men better than most of the masters, and he pride himself on
that. Those who were treated badly, well that was usually for their own fault or
they somehow set the irritable incubus off.

The feline's face lit up almost immediately when the other male suddenly
agreed to go to his home, the raider camp. It was surprising after what he had
said only moments ago, but it was exactly the answer Haru wanted to begin
with.
"Ya really mean it??? Ya really wanna visit my home??" He said in a
most excited voice. Then he grabbed the hand that was offered to him and
used the help to stand again. It was still a little painful to do so himself. "Think
I can walk okay, but catch me if I fall~!" He said cheerfully taking a couple
steps down the stairs again.
His hand came up and motioned to follow. "C'mon, I'll show ya the way."
He said, and he'd wait for Eli to follow before making his way towards the
trees. His pace would be slow, a result of him being unsure of what extent of
injury he still had and what might cause unnecessary pain. Though there
were still some questions on his mind that he'd like to ask while they made
their trek through the trees.
"So uhm... what made ya change your mind Eli? Ya seemed mighty
displeased by it a second ago." He asked, and brought his hands up
behind his head while he walked, at least until the movement caused a sharp
pain in his stomach and he would lower them again.
