A few faint rays of light shining through an open window danced across Haruko's face, stirring her from her power nap coma. Her body ached from napping on the hard wooden floors, and her head was sore from using her rucksack as a pillow during her nap. Oddly, no one seemed to have decided to wake her up. It didn't bother her much, as it left her more time to work on her own jutsu.
Rested from her brief nap, Haruko made her way to one of the training dummies that dotted the large room. Unlike with the jutsu she had learned earlier, she did not make any handseals. Instead, she simply focused a mass of chakra into her right arm as she swiped it at the dummy. As her arm flew through the air, a sharp wooden spike formed out of her arm, slamming into the target. Haruko then jumped back, clapping her hands together, causing coils of wood to shoot out of the ground and wrap around the target. Haruko wandered away from the dummy and back to her bag. She rummaged through the old schoolwork and random ninja tools until she found her notes on formless training. Haruko unrolled the scroll, studying her notes. The first step to training the body was after all to train the mind
Bleh Formless Training
Haruko stopped in front of a training dummy. She closed her eyes and focused on getting in the right mindset. She imagined herself punching the target, over and over again. [Soft Mental Learned]
Haruko then watched another shinobi on a nearby dummy train. He struck the target over and over with pinpoint accuracy. He seemed to have already learned all his formless. Through this, Haruko gained a better understanding of formless training/ [Hard Mental Learned]
Haruko returned her attention to her dummy. She began to strike it with her fists. She varied her punches, aiming for both the head and the chest as she attacked. [Hard Physical Learned]
Haruko danced around the target, still throwing punches, but working on her footwork. She dodged and ducked under imaginary punches from the dummy. Her head movement and footwork greatly increased as a result. [Soft Physical Learned]
Haruko found a small knife on the ground. She used it to stab the dummy. The soft dummy was no match for the rando knife! [Small Weapons Learned]
Haruko was then lucky enough to find a medium sized sword on the ground near where she found the rando knife. She swung the sword a few times through the air in slashing motions. She then used it to whack the dummy a few times. [Medium Weapons Learned]
Almost is if magically appearing for plot convenience, Haruko found a spear in the room. She spun it around a few times and made jabbing motions with it. She then proceeded to use it to skewer the target dummy. [Large Weapons Learned]
But lo, the dummy's suffering was not yet over. Haruko had somehow found a folded chair. Little did she know, this was a common weapon in WWE. As she was walking to put the chair away, she tripped and the chair slammed into the dummy's head. [Strange Weapons Learned]
Almost finished with her formless training, Haruko pulled out a normal kunai. Balacing it in her hand, she twirled it around a few times before throwing it at a target. The kunai hit dead center. [Projectiles Learned]

Hailee would make a yikes face upon hearing over his sister who apparently has the biggest running mouth it seemed. It's probably no wonder he decided not to speak as much, maybe he can never get a word in with her anyways. "I can understand that." She admitted; though she listened as he explained how one read a scroll, so it went from weakest to most powerful. She preferred learning the best and just going out with a bang, like they always say, go big or go home! In this case, with what he was warning her on, she probably shouldn't do that. Don't need any angry jounins or anything on her tail! Hailee couldn't help but let out a dramatic sigh, guess she would have to get the smaller stuff out of the way first. "That's going to be really boring, but you're rigghtt. I'ma go and work on it some than. Thanks for the help!" She would smile at the young man, he seemed to be very focused on his training, and truth be told, she felt like she was bothering him. That wasn't her intended goal, so she let him be and continue his training, she'd talk if he wanted too, but she wasn't sure if he wanted too.
Moving off to the side, Hailee opened up the scroll and began reading it over up and down with quick glances from her purple orbs. The first E-rank in the book sounded coolio, if it was cool in her eyes, than it was just as certainly worth the time to take learning! Amorette sniffed the paper, stretching on her shoulder as she was mentally preparing herself for the rigorous training. Hailee released a slight sigh, focusing on the chakra within her system. She got down on all four, focusing on a wall mostly cause she didn't really know where else to focus, and wasn't sure if this was even the best place to go about practice, but oh well! Those who don't live on edge, aren't really living at all! Her teeth began to grow more pointy, as did her fingernails and toenails in turn, that was always slightly unnerving watching in her family line, but it's whatever! Her eyes shifted a bit into a more wild detained look, not that she'd even really have noticed the change there. With it all prepared, Hailee hopped around so swiftly, as Amorette jumped off her shoulder and charged around with her. She clung to many walls, back flipping off the last quick wall hop and landing on her butt because she couldn't control the speed too well just yet. "Ahh my butt, stupid hard floor." Hailee complained, getting up to brush the dirty floor off her frilly skirt bathing suit. Amorette laughed a bit, chasing her tail playfully as she awaited the next. Thankfully, this one embarrassment was on her partner, hopefully she didn't mind. Gathering some chakra, the little fox ran a bit, before stopping and lifting one leg, pissing on the wall. Hailee could in turn, smell the scent of the wall and pee it clung too, smelly or not. This was most effective on a moving target, but no one was going to let her pet pee on them just so she can learn. And nor would she ask of that! But it's whatever, it's not like she didn't have it down already! Simple and easy, yet plain and boring all the same. She would take a bit of a break now, sitting and brushing at her hair before continuing with some more, which were now going to be D-Ranks. tab A man clad in a grey coat proceeded to make his way through to the academy. carrying with him scrolls under his arm a plenty. Though they were not for him, or for his use. Rather they archival scrolls, things in which were rather bad and dispensing chakra evenly with fuuinjutsu. Fact of the matter was the now older Tosokurui after having stripped a creature of its freedom had gained an even greater interest in their kind. While he had indeed dabbled in them before his knowledge was still more or less common among those who didn't consider themselves scholars but were still the occasional historian. Toso would proceed up a flight of stairs within the academy, and then another, until reaching its peak. Once there he would approach a door, placing his palm upon it the seal would be undone allowing entry, only to shut behind him and reseal itself. One could consider the information in this room somewhat secret. Though not obscenely so. It was more so to keep the things out of the grubby hands of youths as much of the items were delicate.
tab Toso would then take in the musty air of dust and the lot in the room, the smell of paper, papyrus, and other implements in which to be drawn or written on was certainly a euphoric thing for an artist. He'd find a table and then upon it lay down the abundance of archival scrolls. He'd set up an inkwell and from there his mission began. Combing the dusty tomes he was looking for something in particular. The records, of the sage of six paths, the tale of the senju and the uchiha rivalry, but above all documents that pertained to each and everyone of the tailed beasts. Their previous jinchuriki, the methods in which they were sealed, and the destruction they had caused.
tab Hagoromo Ōtsutsuki was the name of the alleged sage of six paths, with a brush in one hand, the transcription would begin breathing new life into another archive to eventually take the place of the old. Hagoromo son a some woman by the name of Kaguya who possessed chakra that was birthed from the fruit of a world tree after consuming it, brother to another by the name of Hamura, of whom they were twins. As Toso continued, it seemed interesting that the intentions behind the devouring of the world tree's fruit by the sage's mother seemed drawn from a need to stop war...but then...the story turned into a tale of bitterness, it seemed the woman's intentions weren't as pure as he'd thought, literally rampaging to reclaim the chakra of which she deemed as only hers. The form she took...a beast with ten tails?
tab Toso had known of the original nine beasts but a tenth rose a interest in him that seemed unnatural to say the least. Continuing to find that the ten tailed beast was later separated into nine parts by her son was baffling to say the least. The Toso's eye's lit up when he read the following. A technique only known as the Creation of All Things was what had divided them. A man whom seemed simply gifted and good nature striving for a path towards true peace could only be considered a god and by proxy each of these creations should deserve the same the title as from him they were birthed. The fact the lesser knowing in the shinobi world referred to them as mere demons and beasts now was leaving a bad taste in his mouth.
tab The writing and knowledge continued to fill his head, followed by amazement and bewilderment. The god man had children, two to be exact. One seemed gifted the other did not. One relied on his own strength, the other relied on the combined strength of relying on others. Which made it all the more unfortunate as he read that the two were at odds with each other. So much so they were at odds with one another the blood feud continued through their descendants. Whom were these descendants? Unraveling the scroll would nearly spit ink upon himself...the three that stand still today. The Senju, Uzumaki, and the Uchiha. Rolling the scroll back the copy was complete. Toso exhaled as he waited for the ink to fully dry. He looked to the rest of the shelves. Those three clans now leaving an impression on him he couldn't forget. [5/5 Transcription :: IV]
tab But there was more to be learned. As the ink finally dried Toso would place the new transcript next to the old. He didn't feel it his place to toss old record, he'd leave that to the record keeper. The whom was watching him the entire time adjusting her glasses as though she was looking at some ignoramus. Although that wasn't really her intent she was actually impressed someone took an interest in these old records enough to revitalize them in a new clean scroll. Though it was to be expected she did put in the request to begin with. But re-archiving some loooooooooong historical garbage would have been a snooze fest for some of the younger folks and be incredibly time consuming for the more militant ones. Kenshin and Shion coming to mind.
tab Toso would then inquire the location of the scrolls possessing information gathered specifically to each tailed beast independently. He'd be directed to a shelf which carried with it ten scrolls in total, weighty in their own respects, and somewhat old seeing as they were likely migrated from the previous kumogakure and other respective villages. Unfurling the first as though it were a dusty tome, as if too conveniently sand came out as if emphasize its origins. It seemed to be pretty abridged by the look of things, likely the land of whirlpools may have had a more intricate copy detailing the past jinchuriki and the currents but he'd transcribe it none the less.
tab The Ichibi, is what appeared to be a racoon dog, aka a Tanuki. Based on what he read it seemed incredibly prone to tantrums and rages. It certainly seemed the case of the smallest dog barks the loudest. Though one thing did stand out and that was the fact that the Ichibi for the longest time was contained in a pot. He wondered where that pot was now...perhaps in the possession of the whirlpool nin. Despite it seemingly being the weakest and most prone to tantrums it boasted one of the strongest defenses. There was no list of jinchuriki contained on the scroll only the nods to the destructive strength of a tailed beast. It seemed this was just the tip of the iceburg when it came to what Toso now believed to be the nine kami. Though its origin...was simply residing in a temple surrounded by sand...like a creature in a natural habitat.
tab Next was the Nibi. Portrayed as a cat...it to shared with the Shukaku an origin in which it was simply given a temple to reside. Continuing he'd come across a notable scrit. That the Nibi was 'sold' off additionally with the Gyuki to Kumogakure by a Hashirama Senju. Tch... distaste. The Senju clan shifted from dietetic to distasteful immediately. What gave the senju the right to sell of living things that were simply living their lives. To confine anything...Toso would recall the pet shop in town and how much he cared little for the place. But now it started to culminate something...what was originally a dislike for captivity was becoming a hate for it...perhaps in a sense he felt a captive himself. It was called an offering of friendship, but truly Toso could only see it as an abuse of power. Unlike its predecessor it seemed to be reserved and formal unless angered...but wasn't that every feline? He'd wrap up this transcription and move to the next.
tab The Sanbi. A touch of familiarity perhaps knowing that this was an ocean dwelling kami. Like its predecessor it to was sold by the senju to the nations. It seemed there was also a plot in that involved the mist attempting to use it for their own personal political gain while simultaneously attempting to attack the leaf. The names of individuals were omitted, or rather they were too worn to read. What was pleasant however, was that amidst what he had read so far, the three tailed Kami vanished after the third shinobi war. Toso could only assume that it had escaped its confinement and fled to sea...ah..yes there it is. That was indeed the case as it was seemingly found...but now. Toso sighed, all this Kami captivity was really trying his nerves. He'd take note of its particular penchant for rolling devastation and move to the next. [5/5 Transcription :: IV]
tab The Yonbi. A giant ape who could supposedly belch magma and flames...he couldn't help but think of the twins possessing it instead of the gyuki. Actually it seemed more characteristic that they should have...but the again. Thinking now..firmly a belief...nobody should have the right to be in possession of anyone's will or freedom. Recalling how Jeon endured likely an insurmountable amount of pain in the Gyuki's sealing...Toso's face seemed to grow even staler than usual. Should he pity someone when it was they who cast the first stone? Another time. Any thoughts of treason would be snuffed out before they even began. Apparently it had a firm hate for humans, Toso would to if he were enslaved by them...was he starting to disassociate himself with humans? True he always believed himself more squid than man. If he so desired...he could flee to sea now and live his life a squid eternal...hnnn...again a though for another time. These thoughts concluded the transcribed info of the Yonbi. Toso taking note of its lava release, behaviour, and assumed beliefs.
tab The next tailed kami, the Gobi, there wasn't very much information on it. Only that it had jinchuriki by the name of Han or maybe something else as the name was smudged. That seemed to be a recurring theme with a majority of these older scrolls. It seemed to be assumed the 'physically' strongest of the other kami. Though in the other departments such as ninjutsu like abilities and the like there was little to go off of. The most intriguing thing about the Gobi was that it wasn't intriguing. Though it still fell to the same fate as it predecessors of being sold as a 'balance of powers' ploy. All in all Toso still was not cool with that and as it was brought up again and again it didn't serve to make him any more cool with it.
tab The giant snail, slug thing was next. Also seemingly aqueous in nature was sold to Kirigakure long ago...maybe perhaps it existed in one of the kirigakure refugees? It was food for thought, the information on the Rokubi was also little in terms of its origins in regards to where it was found, it was all simply stated as they were captured by the Senju using a necklace and yadda yadda. Hm...wait...a technique that allowed for the taming of kami...Toso would take note of its name. Though it likely wouldn't matter said necklace was likely a relic lost to time. But...perhaps if he had the skill, and the object he could free the creatures from their imprisonments...ah ha. Toso gathered his thoughts. That would be foolish as so far everything he'd read so far implied that any extraction of the kami would result in the hosts death. Taking note of the Rokubi's corrosive capabilities he'd conclude the transcription.
tab Blinding powder, chakra threads, a tough carapace. All things that seemed frightening when first read. Which made the information in regards to previous hosts of the Nanabi interesting that they were all rather upbeat individuals, likely being an extension of the Nanabi itself. So here was this joyous being of a kami's creation being sold off not to one of the 'great' nations but an obscure one he'd never even heard of. Further details about the past jinchu were likely contained whirlpool as it seemed the last known record of it contained in this archive was it attacking Sunagakure. Why that was interested him, but he came to the assumption likely because, I don't know, that it too was likely condemned to a life of being bound in some puny human body. He'd quickly wrap up the rest of the archives contents as what was next would be none other than his own kami.
tab Surprisingly or unsurprisingly there was nothing in regards the Gyuki being seen as a deity among his people. This would be the first archive in which Toso would be adding additional details as oppose to writing word for word from one sheet to the other. Evidently this was one of the most lengthy, as the Gyuki was apparently one of the tailed beasts given to Kumo. Its history rooted in the village itself. The list of previous jinchu a majority of them succumbing and incapable of containing it power. As expected of his and his families kami. Although similarly as Toso continued the darkness of Kumogakure's origins began to show itself. Rather than attempt to allow the Gyuki freedom they continued sealing and resealing it despite its rampages and the casualties it left in its wake. Though this was nothing like the Kumogakure Toso had immigrated to then five years ago...or was it? Had things really changed? These records dating back countless upon countless years ago and still today ninja were sealing the beasts for personal and national gain. He completed the Gyuki's new archive, fresh with the addition of its importance to his Hojo of endaishima. Then moved on to the next. [5/5 Transcription :: IV]
tab The Kyubi...there wasn't much of anything. Not much of anything at all really except nods to its insurmountable power of the others. Perhaps the further details and intricacies of the beast were hidden behind more secure annals or maybe...they were simply given this copy to pass as archive just to complete the set. Aside from the general information that all the other archives had about the tailed kami being born of a kami there wasn't anything. Toso was capable of wrapping this archive up quickly...and as he reached across the table for the Jūbi there was nothing there. There wasn't any archive about the ten-tails despite its brief mention in the story of the sage of six paths. Toso's guessed it made sense. A majority of the archives left out key details. Unbeknownst to him, mentions of the rinnegan, the infinite tsukuyomi, and other things were intentionally left out or rather kept in more private filings. So would conclude the workings of Tosokurui Ashikoki Hojo, transcriber for a day and in these last moments decided to read up on some more combative material about the intricacies of wire to get his mind off all the ENSLAVEMENT.

It was odd. There still wasn't a teacher in the building yet. Usually there would be a few giving lessons here and there. The building was eerily quiet. Haruko shrugged it off and assumed that all the teachers finally quit because of the s**t pay and horrid students. Sighing at her own misfortune, Haruko decided to learn jutsu by herself.
Haruko made her way outside the building to a patch of dirt. She didn't want to mess up the school she had spent half the day cleaning after all. Haruko began to summon up her chakra throughout her body, concentrating. She formed a handseal and the ground next to her began to move. It formed itself into a perfect copy of her own body. [Doton Bunshin no Jutsu + Tsuchi Tou Tou + Ishi Yoroi no Ude Learned]
Haruko dismissed the clone, allowing it to crumble into a dirt mound next to her. This time, she did not form a handseal, but focused on a small rock. With her mysterious mind powers, she imagined it lifting off the ground and flying through the air towards a target. As if on command, the small rock did just that. Next it was time for water based techniques. Haruko filled a bucket up with a hose on the side of the building and lugged it into the clear area. Pretending this was Avatar, Haruko began to wave her arms around. The water in the bucket responded slowly at first before swirling up to match the movement of her arms. Haruko was satisfied with her own progress. It seemed like there wouldn't be anything left for her to learn soon. Making her way to one of the outdoor targets, Haruko began to build up chakra, this time in her mouth. Puffing out her cheeks and holding her breath, her mouth began to fill with water. tab"You're still here? Bloop." Tosokurui had made his way out of the academy archives back to the academy second floor which was one that harbored training dummies. Surprisingly he'd find that in the long time he'd spent transcribing articles two students still remained on the premises. Resident squidman, proprietor of a village restaurant and community center. His neck carried two headbands, and old dilapidated rusty-ish Kumogakure headband and the newer one from Arashigakure. He didn't emit a presence you'd expect from anyone important but he did have the air of a senior. Still he had two layers of coats which could only beg the question of if he was hot, in maybe both senses...the second less likely. The girl had left in her wake quite the tidy sum of debris from her earlier training. Were there no current instructors on the premises? He did admit it was quite quiet...ah right the return of the twin kage's. He would introduce himself making certain to remove the koki in his middle name...but this actually worked against him as thinking to remove it had him accidently add it. Ah, but perhaps the girl wouldn't know the less that favorable meaning of the middle name. "Tosokurui Ashikoki Hojo. Bloop."
tabHe would open his planner, then check the wall clock. The ninjutsu basics training was being held out in the academy field currently, specialized classes were in rooms 1-3 on the first floor as always covering each of the elemental affinities interchangeably, and his own fuuin class wasn't scheduled until tommorrow. Taijutsu and bukijutsu fundamentals were being held at the dojo. They must have certainly been stretched thin if they were making minimum quota that there wasn't the occasional floor proctor. Then again today was the return of the twin kage, and floor proctoring was more of a fill in position. "Mmmmmm." Closing the planner as one would a book. The thought came to mind, the twins were usually the ones who head mastered the academy and dojo and Kenshin had the APD and the Office on his plate at the same time during their absence. That meant in the twins absence the place was likely thrown into some disarray. Perhaps he'd consult them about this turn of events later. He wondered if there was anyone else wandering the floors seeking guidance in some way shape or form.
"Are you in any need of guidance? You seem to be doing fine, quite the capable and dedicated individual so that inquiry may come off as redundant bloop." The mans facial expressions never changed as far as his voice it would likely only already add to the boring atmosphere that had already enveloped Haruko as it was monotonous and as grey as a history teachers talking about the Louisiana purchase for the third time. Simultaneously asking Haruko this question Toso created a clone in a poof of whom he gave a nod that then nodded back.
The clone would have located Hailee, assuming she was till on the premises. "Are you in need of anything? Bloop." The clone would also inquire but maybe its presence would be an unsettling one. As a man wearing multiple coats and glasses with long hair screamed the stranger danger signal but hopefully the worn headbands around the clones neck would be enough to lessen that surprise and aura that emanated from him. Still the clone couldn't help but be reminded of his own family when looking at the girl of whom he spokes attire.

For the longest time, Hailee brushed at the foxes hair, keeping it really soft and shiny, as the two of them always had to look there best and be presentable. The brush stopped upon a voice striking her ears, the female shinobi glanced up, while slowly standing back onto her feet. The guy kinda appeared to look like a creep alert, she had met a few once before in her travels. Than again, that probably happened because of her attire, but she cherished attention, positive or not so oh well! But like they say, you can't always judge a book by its cover. That, and also you shouldn't trust everyone you meet, but his aura didn't scream any sudden harm, since he was asking if she needed help. Also, he did bear the villages headbands, so there was that too. "No, I don't think so. Why, are you a teacher or something?" Hailee couldn't help but question in wonder, she couldn't really tell who the teachers even were, most faces she didn't remember too well. She still had her training to do...boring endless training that felt like it was never going to end. But students had to start off the ladder from somewhere.
Hailee needed to focus on her training, but she certainly welcomed any help if the newcomer wished to. Likewise, she had already learned all of the E ranks, and she certainly didn't wanna upset any teachers like the other kid pointed out before. But one wouldn't hurt..would it? "What's your name anyway?" She asked, while picking up the scroll and reading it over. She was still listening should he answer, but also half focusing on getting her training finally done. This one seemed cool, she always wanted a twin, wow what could be more perfect. Connecting the chakra into place, Amorette had began to glow a bit, taking a few seconds as she was still learning how to properly use it, until finally the fox had transformed into a perfect copy of herself. The two moved in sync, though it was hard to tell which was which, still it was fun. Only thing, Amorette couldn't actually talk..soo there's that. And, she's not the quiet type for sure. Getting that down, she soon dispersed the chakra and the fox returned to her normal four legged form. Learned: Jūjin Bunshin [ Beast-Man Clone ] One more she would practice, but otherwise she felt mostly accomplished. The rest would probably be best with guidance. Straightening her posture towards a training dummy, she would sign outwards, gathering the needed amount of chakra. She went through many phases going in and out, the form being too small or just not happening, almost getting frustrated with herself at all those points. That was, until she finally got it down and spun around almost in a sideways tornado, striking at the dummy. Hailee tried it with Amorette too, who both by this point spun at the dummy, though upon learning it and releasing, she could barely stand straight feeling a bit dizzy. [Learned: Tsūga [ Passing Fang ] That would be a long while before she got used to that. "Why is the..room spinning?" She asked to herself, before eventually shaking it off and her vision and senses all coming back to normal. While the man was still hanging around, she figured she'd ask upon staring the scroll down. "Hey, how difficult are these C-ranks to do? Am I gonna upset anyone if I tried them?" She asked the stranger, hoping her questions weren't annoying to him at all. Why was she asking so much? Sometimes she felt like she was being an idiot, it's okay to be one away from prying eyes, but in public was just flat out embarrassing.

~Current Theme Music~:Buoyant Boogie- Splatoon 2 "You could say that. Bloop." Was he a teacher though? He'd taught some genin a few things sure but he only taught a fuuin class on Saturdays or whenever there was a sub necessary, he primarily had kept to the kitchen a majority of his free time and rest was patrols and the usual. She inquired a question as to his name and he'd save the response for later as she seemed intent on doing her own thing for the moment. The seemingly always stoic and composed man would then answer both her inquiries rather quickly. "You can simply refer to me as Toso. Bloop. As for the technique, that depends. To most students of academy level they are the most difficult some might even say the furthest they can achieve with their current current level of knowledge. bloop. Ah, but...if it's particularly destructive I recommend we go outside." He didn't have to be a teacher to know that the academy has had a fair share of misfires in the past....though come to think of it even if that were the case his original self could fix... best avoid senseless damage regardless. "You've an interesting choice of attire, bloop. Where I came from, I and my family also wear the same year round." He of course meant swimsuits he didn't think the girl was dense enough to think both he and his father walked around in bikini's like some sort of degenerate. Meanwhile the clone hoped that his true self on the upper floor wasn't getting berated for his slip of the tongue...ah, but they were kids. What kind of kid would even know about such terminology...looking back to his younger years in the academy...that's right he'd be a fool to underestimate the knowledge of which children can acquire. But surely no child would know the meaning first hand without first consulting or hearing it from their parents.

Belamos stopped by and grabbed some scrolls, quickly reading over them in order to refresh himself up on how to properly seal a demon. Once his reading was finished up he returned the scrolls and set out to meet Tsukina at the gates

After looking around and letting out a small sigh of relief, Soon-ea walked into the academy's dojo. She was there for one reason and one reason only; to avoid him. She didn't even know his name. Why was she so scared of a man? She used to trap men just by looking at them. Surely she wouldn't fear him. This must have been something else. "There's no way I could..." Rather than sit and wonder, Soon-ae opted to train. For Soon-ae, she was always experienced with a blade. She was capable of so many great things with a sword that, at first glance, one would assume that she was a master. Her techniques were all flawless and well practiced. At close to medium ranged combat, she was able to get in with no problems at all. Even if she was overwhelmed, she still had a reasonable amount of defensive skills. She realized that most people who fought her would possibly realize this after crossing blades a few times. This was a concern to her. "What would happen if they turned this into a long ranged battle?" Up to this point, Soon-ae's training had been all sword based. She hasn't even thought about the disadvantage she would be at if the enemy was at a distance. That is why she was out training something other than her blade for once. She reached the shuriken dummies and started to set up. One by one she began to throw shuriken at the dummy. "This is so much harder than it should be!" As she tossed shuriken, she seemed to be struggling a lot. She remembered she barely passed this class back at the academy. Throw after throw, Soon-ae seemed to get worse and worse. Growing frustrated, she continued to throw until finally she quit and dropped the shuriken she was holding. With a sigh, she turned to leave when she noticed a kunai laying there. "What the hell? Might as well try once right?" She picked up the kunai and readied her aim. For some reason this felt a lot better to her than the shuriken did. After it was thrown, it was still a little off, but much better than the shuriken throws had been. She retrieved the kunai from the dummy since it was the only one she had. She repeated it countless times before realizing that she was MUCH better with kunai than she would ever be with shuriken. With a smile, Soon-ae was happy to fix another gap in her offense. "I have to remember to put kunai on my list of things to get now, right after sake and... no, no... Just sake. That's the most important thing after all!"
The question weather this guy was a teacher came in to play, which surprissing he had admitted to it..sort of. Not really a straightforward yes, than again it wasn't a no either. "So..you are? What do you teach?" Hailee asked, feeling a bit curious. It was a long shot asking, she had kind of been wishfully hoping he would help train her in that case since she, well without a better word, sucks at training herself. Not the easier stuff, E-D sure were easy as pie, but it was apparent C's were on a wholeee other level. Atleast, that's what she learned From Toso, it was a bit disappointing but she got over it really fast, it didn't bother her. Who said anything in life was ever easily obtainable? After she finished some more training, it was greeting time. "Well, it is nice to meet you, Toso! You can call me Hailey, or Hails." She replied energetically, waving her hand, something she was always accustomed too when greeting. Hand shaking wasn't really her thing, that was really only meant for professional meetings. "It doesn't sound destructive, just a bunch of twirling s**t and rolling like a wheel. I mean, unless I miss my target and hit someone else training..than yeah, that probably wouldn't be good either." Hailee figured she wasn't sure if she'd be able to get the aim precisely down, if she missed than she might not be able to stop herself from hitting any bystanders training. Her expression showed that of shock, once Toso said how he and his family always wore bathing suits in the air..he didn't appear to be the type just rolling around looking for attention. "You did? How did you go from wearing bathing suits to that many layers though? Isn't it kinda hot in that? I worn this so much..I really can't put on that many layers cause otherwise I just get reallyyy hot, I'm too used to not wearing much now." Hailee admitted, wondering how he could change outfits drastically different. Who knows, maybe it didn't even bother him, or his body temperature was different and took easy and fast to get use to those temperatures. This guy sure was an interesting fellow, he seemed different from the others. A good different. So, he was cool in her book.
In another attempt to avoid him, Soon-ae stepped back into the academy dojo. Her training seemed to be going well up to this point. She had come a long way. Having trained for close combat situations with her sword, learning different ways to attack from afar, and mastering the art of meditation, Soon-ae had felt there was only one last thing she should learn. Until coming to The Hidden Storm, Soon-ae had no knowledge of hand to hand combat. Her father thought it was best to leave it at the art of the sword, lest she became too violent and "unfit" for a husband. In the beginning, Soon-ae couldn't throw a punch to save her life. Now she was fairly decent at it, but she could still use work. She knew it would never be enough to properly protect herself if she was ever without her blade. After giving it some thought, she decided on what she would do. She had remembered a story her father had told her when she was young. It was about a man with an iron fist. This man was very special, for even something as powerful as lighting itself would rain down at his beck and call. Her father faced this man in combat, and barely escaped with his life. Though he was able to slay this man, Myung-ho Shin had nothing but the highest of respects for this man, because even though his form was unrefined and reckless, this was the greatest warrior he had ever faced. He explained the style that was used in great detail. "Nigirikobushi no Shintou [Impact of the Clenched Fist]. Yes, yes... He made sure to tell me the name of his style. It is a form of combat with origins closer to street fighting than actual martial arts. Masters of this style utilize their fists, rather their blades. I could tell from his stance, that man had a rough life. When I asked him his name, he simply stated it didn't matter anymore. I know now, that that man had every intention of dying on that rainy night. I will never forget his strikes though. They were powerful yes, but they were filled with that man's heart and soul, making them the most vicious attacks I have ever seen. To this day, I regret never learning that man's name...*sigh*… So my dear Soon-ae, when you swing your sword, don't do so half-heartedly. Fight only when you know why you're fighting, and you believe in it with everything you have." As Soon-ae remembered this, she was pounding away at a training dummy with her iron gauntlet. Her arm was tired, and she felt as if her left hand was broken. Still she pressed on. Punch after punch, she could only imagine what that man's resolve was. She used it to push herself. "Harder! Faster! Stronger!" She continued to punch and punch until she noticed something. The punches no longer hurt. She felt nothing of the impact. She was so excited that she threw the first perfect punch of the day, accidentally destroying the entire training dummy. "Whoops... Oh well. Not my problem any more. Now it's time to go have a... Oh right... Well then..."
