A: Assuming the two shinobi are otherwise equal, as reflex does not affect attacks and speed does not affect defense, Shinobi B only needs to pay a C-Rank of chakra or stamina to dodge.

Congrats, this terribly crafted post is here to award you both with passing grades as well as hand you both your choice of either a green, red, black, blue, yellow, or white head band engraved with a lightning bolt.
Proud to have succeeded in his examination and graduated from the Academy, Christian stood tall at his seat and stared in splendor. Then, with the choice presented, he decided upon a yellow Arashigakure headband and tied it around his forehead. The student - now a Genin - then proceeded to leave the Academy, his 'earnings' in tow, coupons and a scroll of graduation.

tabToso with legs crossed and sitting on a traditional tatami mat was doing some rather lame deep breathing exercises. He was finding his center as they said. His time as functioning as more of a career villager rather than a career shinobi was starting to show. Sealing the Gyuki was tiresome, and while weak fighting the thugs earlier was tiresome, even doing nothing was tiresome. He'd reminisce of the basics of combat as he did before. Sharpening the edges of his mind so that it may better translate to his body. He needed to sharpen his wit and response times. To have been surprise attacked by that lowly thuggish nin. While he came out unscathed it was an embarrassment to his title personally. Perhaps if he'd continued to refine the sensory techniques he'd known...well now was the perfect time for such. Power, it was Yuno needed if she was going to protect herself from those men. For too long she had relied upon solely the power of her lineage. Kenshin had taught her that name alone was not enough. That power was only an illusion. She needed a source of power of her own, one that nobody could take away from her. It was because of that need that she'd come to the academy once more. The library held secrets of jutsu that she needed to unravel for herself, to adopt them and grow. Though late in the evening there was always a librarian on staff to help guard it. She didn't know the night shift worker but apparently they knew her. "Lady Yuno isn't it past your bedtime?" he asked jokingly. She wasn't really that amused but she could spare enough time to play nice. A forced smile spread across her lips and in a rather cheery voice replied,"I received permission from my mother so it's fineโช" His eyes glanced over towards a nearby clock with a somewhat worried look upon his face. "Don't stay up too late now, you need your rest if you want to be as beautiful as your mother when you grow up." The comment rubbed her the wrong way but she didn't let it show. If anything her mother would have stayed up late studying too... or maybe not. It had apparently taken her years to finish all of her academy courses. Either her mom worked hard too, and so would she. If anything she'd work ten times as hard. "I'll keep that in mind."
After parting ways with the main librarian she made her way to the only area of the library she could actually access now. The genin section had a lot of reading material in it for those who bothered to actually read. Yuno was such a person. She gathered an armful full of instructive scrolls and got to work. Mismatched eyes poured over the material as she researched various suiton techniques. Those would be the foundation of her power. It wasn't much but the information she could know access as a full fledged ninja dwarfed what she could read while a mere student. Slowly the time went by as she coalesced everything into one singular theory of jutsu. The way she wanted to fight, how she wanted to exist. It wasn't a small thing, and yet in some ways it was. In the end she only had the mental capacity to learn so much. [2] Eventually her eyelids grew heavy and while continuing to read the scrolls, Yuno collapsed at her desk into a deep slumber.

Haruko stretched as she entered the Academy for what was sure to be another boring and uneventful day. The previous classes had just graduated, so she was likely to be one of the few people in the entire building still training and trying to pass the graduation exam. As she expected, most of the hallways and classrooms were empty, save for a few souls napping at their desks or stuck in detention for trying and failing to trick the instructors. Haruko wandered past all these poor souls to one of the larger training rooms in the Academy, finding it devoid of other people, but covered in junk and discarded ninja tools they had been too lazy to pick up before leaving the building. She shook her head as she dropped her bag near the entrance and headed to the broom closet. As she opened the door, several brooms fell out, scattering across the floor. Maybe that had been why no one had bothered to clean up before. No doubt, some of the delinquints currently in detention had leaned up all the brooms in such a way that they would fall out when the next person opened the door. She had half a mind to take one of the brooms and start bashing them up side the head with them if the instructor wasn't in the room too.
One by one, Haruko gathered up the fallen brooms, leaning them up against the wall as she looked at the rest of the supplies in the cleaning closet that were scattered about. It seemed like no one had bothered to organize it in years, with empty bottles of cleaning supplies sitting next to new, unopened bottles. Haruko decided rather than trying to organize everything in the closet, she would just take it all out and put it back in after sorting through it all to take inventory. First to go were the left over brooms and mops that hadn't fallen over when she opened the door. Next were the number buckets stacked up on the floor of the closet, some of which were still full of dirty, old mop water from a time before Haruko was probably even born. One by one, she emptied and rinsed the buckets before stacking them outside the door next to the brooms.
Next were the bottles of various cleaning chemicals, some of which were probably illegal for people to use. She picked up the first bottle, looking over the worn label when she was pretty sure that she saw a skull on it and some warning about dying if it ever made contact with skin. She would probably need to remember this incident in the future for when she filed with the disabled shinobi association. The next bottle seemed to say something about rat poison, and at this point, Haruko assumed that somebody would find her dead body in the closet. Maybe this was the true reason that no one ever cleaned the academy. Who knows what other nerve agents are brewing in the dark corners of this cesspit, she thought to herself as she placed the poisonous substances out in the hallway. The next bottle seemed a little less harmful until she took the lid off the bottle and realized it was 12 year old milk. Who ever had put that milk in the closet probably never graduated or they were the most renowned, and patient, prankster of their generation. Needless to say, Haruko hastily ran to one of the 'clean' buckets in the hallway and moved it to the 'dirty' pile shortly afterwards.
After a lengthy break, and the acquisiton of a face mask, Haruko once more ventured into the mines of moria cleaning closet. She continued to remove the old supplies from the closet, until at last, she had managed to remove most of the old supplies. Turning to the pile of junk that now sat in the hallway, she began to sort and throw away the old chemical warfare agents, keeping only the usable supplies and cleaning equipment, putting them back in the closet. Finally satisfied with the state of the closet, she shut it, leaving only a single broom and dustpan out to use cleaning the training room.
Starting in one corner of the room, Haruko began to sweep the floor of the room, pushing the discarded junk and trash into bit piles along the far wall. As she went, she picked up old and discarded tools, pocketing some of the more serviceable ones for later use in her own training. After all, there was no reason to waste perfectly good throwy things in her opinion. Slowly, the piles began to grow, filled with all manner of dirt and clutter, including a bunch of used band-aids that Haruko unfortunately had to peel off the ground. But the band-aids weren't even the worst of it. It seemed that someone had puked on one of the training dummies. Either that, or they were perfecting some new kind of puke element jutsu to use on the teachers. Re-using the same bucket she herself had puked in early, Haruko mopped up the biological matter, much of which appeared to be caked on in layers from age.
Several hours later, the training room was likely cleaner than it had been when it was first built. All of the training dummies were spotless, and the sheen of a fresh layer of wax covered the floor. Ninja tools had been organized into bins along the wall, and there were even a few motivational cat posters about 'just doing it' and 'hanging in there' on the walls. Al in all, it wasn't bad for half a days work. [Clean the Classroom x8]

Already exhausted from cleaning the training room, Haruko made her way over to her bad by the door. Digging around inside for a moment, she pulled out a small scroll, containing what she had been tasked with learning for the day. They were the first 6 jutsu that all shinobi needed to learn in order to graduate. Before opening the scroll, Haruko sat down on the floor and began to meditate to center and gather up her chakra, like she had been taught by the nameless instructors of the Academy. First she would begin by attempted to clear her mind. Then she would focus only on her own chakra and breathing, shutting out the outside world. Her mind reached out to her chakra network, gently probing it and it stirred to life across her body. It was a familiar warmth that began to fill her body as it gathered in her gut, waiting. Haruko would allow the built up chakra to disperse back across her body. Once it had evened out, she began to gather it up again in the center of her body, releasing it over and over again. The exercise was designed to free up the chakra and make it easier to use, just like stretching raised blood flow and loosened muscles. The exercise did make it easier to call on the chakra, but she had never managed to actually use it in a real jutsu. At least, not by that point. Haruko continued her little chakra warm up for a few more minutes before opening her eyes to turn her attention to the training scroll. By now, the chakra in her body was flowing as fast as her own blood, a second circulatory system beneath her skin, burning to be used. [Simple Training: Meditate x2]
Opening the scroll, Haruko could see the six techniques that the instructors had been trying to drill into their heads. They all preached how they were some of the most important things they would learn, and how their entire future as shinobi depended on learning these simple techniques. On paper however, they didn't seem that cool to Haruko. She guessed that the Transformation Technique could be used to spy on people, and the Tree-Walking Technique could be used to walk on just about anything. But they were all so simple. She had grown up hearing about jutsu that could level villages and create raging wildfires, and here she was learning to walk on water.
Haruko begrudgingly picked the first technique on the scroll to practice and placed it off to the side as she moved into an open area of the room. Taking a firm stance, she began to call up her chakra. It readily answered her call, swirling inside her body, ready for her command. Haruko clapped her hands together to form a single handseal and began to pump chakra across her body. After a moment, her appearance changed, transforming her into one of the nameless Academy instructors. It wasn't a perfect copy, but at a distance, no one would be able to tell the difference. Changing back into normal, Haruko jumped in the air, pumping her fist in celebration. [Transformation, Clone, Substitution learned]
Turning her attention to the next technique on the list, Haruko walked to the closest solid wall. Once again, she began to use her chakra, focusing it on her feet this time. She raised her foot slowly, placing it on the wall. It felt firmly attached and she lifted her other foot, placing both on the wall. Near the point of exhaustion, Haruko collapsed up against the wall. More training would come, but first, she needed a power nap. Or a power coma.

Souta dropped into the Academy, disappointed to find that his peers were not currently there. Instead of the planned korabo training, he decided it'd be worth his time to instead learn a handful of his bloodline techniques while the offer for mission credit stood. Carefully he found a spot to himself and unfurled the scroll that corresponded to his particular elemental manipulation.
The training was such a straightforward proposition that Souta had to check himself when he started peering around. He desperately wanted some practical experience, but it did seem unlikely that the others were going to show up as instructed. At least at this rate, he'd be out of things that the village would let him do before even being given the opportunity to learn with a group. Not that he was complaining too much.
Hailee entered the academy, weary eyes making rounds around the place, unsure of where to even start looking for..this book. That was, until she recognized at least one face from back in the office. The other, she had yet to see, or at least she didn't think she'd seen anyone else familiar. She walked up to the boy, he appeared to have already began starting his training, such an eager beaver he surely was. "Hey, uh, what's your face? Sorry there's only one thing I'm bad at, and that's remembering names." Hailee admitted, hoping she wasn't bothering him during his training process. Amorette wagged her tail happily while sitting on her shoulder, happy to greet the boy. "I'm Hailee, and this is Amorette. It's nice to meet you." She waved generally happy, she wasn't much of a hand shaker though, so she skipped that part. "Soo, are we supposed to look for a book? Or just figure out how to train ourselves orrr am I missing something?" Hailee asked with a hint of uncertainty, she distinctly remembered being instructed to find a book, than again her memory was never that good, even if she wouldn't admit that. She loved too much thinking she was great at everything, why wreck that with negativity? However, she really didn't know how to go about knowing what to even do at this point or where to start, hoping he could share his wisdom on this situation.

Souta's head tilted as he considered the question and the introduction. He supposed it was fair, he wouldn't have remembered her name either. What's your face was a strange choice of words though. "Son Souta."[ 1/5 ] He said in turn, listening as she asked another question immediately. "Scrolls." He said, wiggling the one he'd just rolled up. That would do her little good as he plopped down at the edge of the training area and immediately began focusing his chakra.[ 2/5 ] "I'm basically done with all the training they'll let me do as a Genin, so I'm gonna do some chakra training." He added, in case she might have decided that she needed his help for some reason, not that he'd be useful. At best, he wouldn't be a detriment.[ 3/5 ] Far more likely, he would be a detriment in terms of most training done here in the academy. For all of his exceptional talents in the physical arts, he lacked as much in the department of ninjutsu. There was little in his arsenal to teach.[ 4/5 ] He could, at best, teach an Academy Student the starting techniques and some E-ranks. At worst he'd embarrass himself. Perhaps that was a little self centered though, as the worst was likely wasting a lot of some else's time - he thought to himself as he finally got his chakra to settle down after the training.[ 5/5 ]
Yuno awoke to the loud chastising of the morning librarian. Startled awake she nearly knocked over the pile of scrolls that she had neatly stacked upon her study desk. As her faculties slowly returned, the girl noticed what all the fuss was about. It would seem that during the night she had drooled all over the scroll she'd been studying before passing out. After a long chastising lecture she was given a small duty of transcription as punishment. The librarian got out a blank scroll and handed it to Yuno. That was for her to copy the old scroll she'd ruined to. [1] With a slight grumble she got to work on the task. Carefully she penned out the words as her eyes scanned the text. Soon enough she came to where her drool stains were. [2] That part was hard to read since the ink had been smudged. Still if she strained her eyes just right she could make out the words. Though her progress was slow she eventually managed to transcribe all the words. [3] [Transcription]
After dealing with her punishment Yuno was somewhat undecided on what exactly she should do next. The only thing that came to mind was heading to the dojo for a bit of a workout. She needed to work on her physical abilities and maybe get some kunai practice in while she was at it. [Exit]

The conversation turned into an awkward greeting, Souta probably not paying her much attention, or was just too focused on his training. Either way, short words were better than those who talked your ear off. "You sure shorten your words, don't you?" Hailee cocked her head to the side, though it wasn't an insult, merely curiosity. Likewise, he answered the same one worded answer upon her question, heading straight to the point. She could only guess he wasn't much of a talker, assuming his shortened choice of words. Not that she minded any. "A scroll? Thought he said to look for a book..guess I wasn't paying attention again." It wasn't the first time Hailee zoned out listening to someone talk, this kind of thing happened kind of a lot, not that she did it on purpose or anything. Kind of more like an accident, she tends to get bored when being told what to do, and basically zones out, always missing the point of the conversation. She took the scroll from him, reading it over, and basically skimming as fast as her eyes could move, moving it upside down every now and than. This kid seemed to be really focused on his training, finishing every single thing..damn was he really devoted. "Cool."
Hailee spoke, reading the scroll slower now, and sweating because she couldn't understand what the heck the dumb thing was saying. This felt like it was getting nowhere, still she tried because she didn't want to be stuck in this training academy forever. How uncool would it be if one day everyone got stronger and left, and she was the only one left behind? That would be a freakin hellish nightmare! She couldn't allow that to happen in this lifetime. No matter how fast she read..nothing stuck. She growled in frustration, letting out a shriek to release some pent up frustration. "Arrrgghhh!!! How do you even read this dumb thing??" Hailee questioned mostly to herself as she kept turning it around to look at in different angels, but this was her way of looking for help..preferably from Souta since he had already finished everything, and seemed to know exactly what he was doing.

At least for the time being he'd pay that a bit more mind.[ 1/5 ] The question about how to read the scroll though... He had to admit that it threw him for quite a loop. He was under the impression that this person was out of the Academy, and going to be in his squad. As such, it was a bit disconcerting to hear that she didn't know how to read a scroll.[ 2/5 ] "Read from the point that you open it at, the techniques get more powerful as you get further in." Perhaps he took it for granted, the ins and outs of being a shinobi. If anyone was going to do so, well, it was Yuno but Souta wasn't exempt - having grown up in the same house, after all.[ 3/5 ] "They'll get mad if you try to learn too many of the higher ranked ones, but you can learn all the E-ranks you want." The boy added, figuring that Hailee would benefit from not getting yelled at by the instructors. He then turned his attention back to his chakra training entirely. [ 4/5 ] Thankfully, the introduction hadn't wound up as much of a distraction as it could have been - and may have even been a benefit since it forced him to split his attention. He wasn't as efficient as he could be, but then, he was also a genin, so exceptional efficiency wasn't the most important thing. For now he'd settle for okay, wrapping up his training by letting go of the chakra he'd been building over the last few minutes. [ 5/5 ]
