M'lan had been paying close attention to Xochith after the past couple of days, she'd been clingier, more admiring of the surrounding males. He'd grown up watching dragon mature, but it didn't mean he was ready for the moment, just before midday meal, when Xochith roared and fled to the Weyrbowl where she bloodied a couple of wherries before he could even get to a window, He felt like his heart was in his mouth as she tossed the third aside violently before leaping up, doing a little 'tornado' twirl as she did so, flashing her wings out as she reached the peak of her leap and circling the bowl twice "Come on boys, let's see what you've got!" she called, cheerfully enough but watching the males with a critical eye, to her twin brother Macuith she sent a private message "Brother dearest, come, see the fine males to browse will you? i'll bring them for a closer look for you" she added to him cheerfully.
Come one, come all, Come heed the call ... High Reaches males or holdless! Xochith is rising!!!
On Xochith: Xochith adores her twin brother, who prefers male dragons, so be warned, she may get close to him to show her boys off. She's vain and very susceptible to flattery and is free with her affections so will likely pay all the boys some compliment, Giving them all a chance to admire her, and she them. However due to her small size and reduced stamina, the flight is likely to be rather short.
On M'lan: M'lan likes ladies, however he can be very shy in talking to them, he's open minded however so the gender of a dragon's rider won't affect Xochith's choice at all. He's not likely to approach girls among chasing riders but Xochith may encourage him.
Rules/Info: ‣There will be rounds, and rolling, and Xochith will pick her winner from the top three performing males at the end of the rounds. ‣Each round will last two days, so everyone has some time to get at it. OR when everyone has posted (with rp response) ‣If you roll for your entry for the round, but don't find time to fill your post in with RP before the round ends, your points for that round will be halved. ‣I expect you to keep track of your own score, but I'll be watching too, so that the top three will get those spots fairly. ‣This is open to any male dragons in the area. You do not have to be a weyr native, just have a reason to be in the area at the time! ‣Xochith loves being flattered or impressed, so may move closer to this male or that male (random bonus points may be given if she likes your rp response) ‣NPCs are fine, if you lack a location-apropriate rider to toss any in for funsies. ‣Xochith will lead the chase several times near her twin brother, so he can see all the fine boys to choose between should he have a need XD
Using the above points, you get your point total, which is up to you to distribute through your base stats. Please try to keep your distributions realistic for your particular dragon!

Thella sighed softly as Lireloth lifted his head from his legs, feeling the call as much as her dragon. It was a rather awful time to rise given they were just about to head out to practice, but she knew she had no say over when the greens and golds decided to call to the males.
"Go on then," she said, shooing her dragon away as he got to his feet, shaking himself off with purpose. "I'll be here when you get back."
Don't sound so put-out, mine. This will be a fun way to spend some time. Besides, what green can resist this? Lireloth asked as he spread his wings, his trim appearance cutting an attractive sight. Thella snorted softly and reached over to shove at his strong leg, giving him a little slap to get going.
"Don't make a whole day of it! I'm expecting you back once you're done to train still."
The brown tossed his head in amusement as he moved forward, beating his wings twice before propelling himself up into the air. He twisted and turned, showing off just a bit as he stretched, ready for the chase. He knew from the call of the young female that it wouldn't be a long one as she was still growing, but he was sure she'd be an exciting one to try to catch.
Surely you don't want just any old male for your first flight, Xochith dear. Come, I'll show you a grand time. A green as beautiful as you deserves nothing but the best. As he rose he spotted the small green circling, waiting for dragons to answer the call. Confidence was not in short supply with the lithe brown and he made sure to climb quickly, matching Xochith's height. He wasn't going to give anyone else a head start, oh no.

Normally, Xaphrith rather found himself ignoring flights, until the end. When at last the victors had gone off and he could go comfort the BEAUTIFUL dragons left heartbroken. However...Oh, he could remember when these lovely little ones were clutched, and now a Green was rising. This one had been such a dancer on the sands. Aniela was stirred from oiling her riding straps by her beloved's throughts, rolling her eyes ever so and laughing, "Oh, my dearest love. If you must go chase the pretty dancing Green, I will allow,...and perhaps you might find some fun after." The brown rumbled in such a way that might be construed as laughter, bounding off his ledge with a laugh, and spreading his wings. Very well.
Lovely Xochith how you have grown! Your green hide glitters in the light, lovelier still than any Gold. Humble Xaphrith will chase you to the ends of Pern, if you will allow. He was a flirt, a crooning poet who loved romance and love far more than he cared to admit. In cases like this, following a pretty Green ended well for him, one way or another. He adored such things, Beautiful Green, I would have you for mine, for just a night, dancing with you in the sky. Let us see what the stars have to offer.

With his lovely mottled hide, his wings take up most of his size, large, for such a small figure. His tail is longer still, with his body lithe and shorter, and a small head. He likes to say that he was made for being admired, but the truth is that he is just a bit of a tinier Brown male, more suited to speed work than anything else.
Aurinkoth had been sunning on his ledge as Ichta finished her bath after morning lessons when the movement of a familiar green taking to the sky immediately drew his attention - and Ichta knew it. Her heart sunk into her stomach and even from a room away she could hear the blue cheeping and chattering on his ledge like a cat who was watching a bird outside of a window where they couldn't get to it.
Oh! Oh doesn't that look like fun, myIchta? Look how she flies! I want to fly! he said, accompanied by a surge of emotion that felt more like a wave of please please please please pleasepleasepleasepleaseplzplzplzplzplz!!!! coming from a small child - which as far as Ichta had been considering, the blue was!
Right now? she held back the absolute terror that gripped her heart, but Aurinkoth still felt it, hesitating. Go, then she bid, sighing as she leaned up against the door that separated them. She'd just....she'd stay here, for now. Not like anybody would be coming to look for her!
Oh I would very much like to fly with you! Oh it was so very lovely to see! Aurinkoth called as he pushed off his ledge and ascended down into the bowl for a lap, rolling as he did so. It was, perhaps, not as flashy as Xochith's had been, but he could try it again!

About Aurinkoth:Aurinkoth will enjoy chasing more than he does catching, and will be prone to getting distracted by the showy moves being done by other fliers! Even if he performs well, he'd be more inclined to allow another chaser to win in his stead.

Zezi was hanging her washing up on the line to dry when she heard the commotion and felt her own blue Dioliath stir from where he was sunning himself. The rider chuckled when she felt his interest grow as he watched the pretty green and the other males join her. "Do you like the pretty green, mine? You should chase her, then."
The dragon got up and shook himself, spreading out his wings. He was large for a blue, and his white head stood out against the darker blue on his wing tips. "Lovely Xochith, I'd love to fly and play with you up in the skies. For you are a beauty with none to compare." He leaped into the air, flapping hard to rise up quickly to join the others.
His rider just smirked and went to watch, admiring her dragon's ease in flight.
On Dioliath: He's a laid back sort of dragon with a good sense of humor and a careing personality.
On Zezi: A healer herself, she only has eyes for other women, but may be open minded during a rising.

The blue dragon had been happily sunning himself on the ledge. He had been waiting for a certain bronze to return from sweeps, when he heard his sisters cry. His eyes whirled a bright blue-green in delight as her sister called out to him, and though he was quite content with Viandarth, there was certainly no harm in looking. Giving a happy creel, the blue launched himself from his ledge, and quickly settled himself among the throng.
Oh! This was quite an experience! To see his twin up in the sky, looking as radiant as the sun; and to see all the handsome boys gather. There was a twinge of jealousy, a desire to be the center of such a crowd. Ah, but his love for Xochith, his desire to see her with the most perfect match, and to support her during her fun quickly overshadowed any longing he might feel.
He would not chase, not at all, but he would at least admire...and criticize. Only the best for his dearest Xochith! Not any male would do.
Oh, dearest Xochith, look how stunning you are! You are sure to capture all their hearts. You shall fly well, I'm sure! Such handsome beasts, each and every one a fine catch! Ah, but he admired Lireloth's handsome colors, Zaphrith's lovely patterns, the bright color of Dioliath, and of course, the ever brilliant Aurinkoth! Surely, Xochith could not go wrong with any of the fine males. He knew which ones he'd pick, and in what order if it were him... But he'd be curious (and more than happy) to admire them as they chased.
--- Note Macuith is not participating, but he is happy to encourage his sister, and of course, be nothing but full of compliments to all these lovely and handsome participants. If any who don't win need their egos stroked afterwards, you can be Macuith is happy to help. xD

THERE HE WAS! Xochith's heart swelled when her twin showed up, oh this made her so happy that she could share this with him, that she could share her admirers with him. They'd slightly grown apart as they'd grown but he was still the Dragon she never lost faith in and loved unconditionally, almost as much as she adored Her M'lan. "Dearest Macuith! you came!!!" she was excited to see her brother among the males, she knew he followed, not to chase her, but to enjoy the sight of the males chasing her and maybe enjoy an embrace with any willing that didn't win her. "are they not all fine?!" she beamed, whizzing past him, wingtip brushing along his back as she twisted in the air, showing off a bit, rather than leading a chase.

Just as thought it looked like she might get caught among a closing bunch of males following, she shot up and quickly zoomed away, attempting to get as much distance between her and the males as possible while she had the stamina to do such manoeuvres.

Oh! You're so quick! Aurinkoth cheeped with a strong downstroke of his wings. His attention followed after Xochith as she began to weave in and out of all of the dragons assembled, pausing as he spotted the familiar form of Macuith. His blue brother recieved a bugle of greeting. You're here too! he'd have continued his line of greetings.....except Xochith was flying off and he wanted to fly too!
Almost immediately as she went sweeping off, Aurinkoth cheeped and went following after, bugling with delight as he went soaring ever higher after his green sister. Oh, she was so quick!

The brown rumbled a delighted laugh, trying to brush her with a claw as she sped past...and yet then she did a beautiful maneuver, darting upwards and going for distance. Ah, but he would show off, Such speed and grace, my dearest beauty. You are the most elegant Green I have ever had the pleasure of chasing. He cried, as his wings carried him quickly towards her. It was his fortune that he was built for speed, and as he darted upwards and above the other males, he let his body tuck and move, showing off. Why not let her see the beauty of his spotted brown body, his mottled hide standing out against the blue of the sky.

The large blue bugled in delight at the thrill of the chase and the beauty of the aerobatics that the lovely green dragon was pulling in the sky. He wanted to show off too! He quickly winged upwards and added in a fun spiral, trumpeting his intent to catch the beautiful green. "Such skill on the wing! Any male would be lucky to catch such an elegant flier! My dear, I do not assume, I know, Lireloth purred as a few other males made it onto the scene. There was another brown and a few blues, although one of them was identical to the green that currently was inspecting the boys. A twin, perhaps? He could tell there was an appraising eye coming from the land-bound male and the brown wondered just who this flight was for. Either way, he had a green to catch and a spectator to impress, so as Xochith took off into the sky he didn't hesitate to chase.
Beating his wings, he didn't struggle to be in first. Not yet, at least. She was a small little thing and he knew she would tire easily so it was best to save his power for later when she was exhausted. Hopefully the other suitors would foolishly charge ahead now and expend their adrenaline and energy too soon.
That didn't mean he didn't make his flight patterns attractive, adding little dips of his wings here and there or teasing trumpets as he gave chase, of course. Lireloth was always eager to be the center of attention and while he knew in this case Xochith had the other male's caught in her claws, there were watchful eyes elsewhere as well.
You fly so well for one so young, Xochith. Your skill and beauty are evenly matched. We would make a glorious pair, you and I, even if only for a night.

Macuith was absolutely delighted that his twin was able to fly. If his eyes whirled a bit purple, it was not for the dear green that flew so beautifully in the sky. No, to get to watch such fine dragons come out to catch the lady.... Oh, how a small part of him longed to spread his wings, and to be oh-so-admired. A small part of him knew that he should fly, that he too should join in the chase... not to win, no, but to at least to try to keep up with the boys!
If nothing else, he could at least admire their forms.
When Aurinkoth peeped his pleasure at seeing him, the blue gave the equivalent of a laugh. As if I would miss this! You look so fine up there, Aurinkoth, truly, a delight to be hold!
In fact, he was so delighted, that he launched himself, and though he stayed var behind -- he would never, ever, interrupt his beloved sister's moment -- he at least could keep up enough to watch.
Lireloth was a very handsome brown! He did not know the older brown well, but wouldn't mind better getting to know him... or any of the dragons that might need a little comforting, after Xochith made her pick. Ah, and which one of them would be her favored champion?

Macuith could only imagine who he would pick -- if not all of them -- but was quite curious to know who his beloved twin might choose. So far, they all seemed quite eager and interested!
They are all such stunning males, Xochith! You fly so well, they can hardly keep up. You are a radiant sight to behold, dearest sister. You'll keep them on their toes and have them begging for more.

With that Xochith dived, spotting a bunch of craggy uprisings in a valley where a river had once flowed, cutting gouges in the landscape. AHA! she shot on the inside of one of them, sky above, stone walls rising either side of her but with a great deal of room on each side, she may be trying to trick the males but that didn't mean she wanted anyone hurt, let alone herself, let's see the boys follow through this little maze of gullies. "FOLLOW! ... if you dare" she challenged, wondering which would follow directly and which would try head her off or fly above the channels to follow from above.

Finer still than any gold, beautiful Xochith! You shine far more brightly, and your grace knows no bound! Look at how daring, how lovely! How could any be less than stunned by your skill? The brown cooed as he followed her....And then she pulled a maneuver that had him bugling his delight. It was in an instant that he tucked his wings and let himself ROLL, before snapping his wings open at just the right moment to fly through the same crag that she had and speeding up after her. With another croon of triumph, the Brown found himself pleased. SPEED and acrobatics were his forte, after all.
