The moment had finally arrived. SHEshell's venue after a long period of construction was opening its doors for the first time for an incredible live performance. The two performers had been busy with work for the military during the space missions but had thrown themselves into dance rehearsals afterwards. It was important to keep their group active in order to keep recruiting for the JROTC. Not to mention, as sponsees of their dear Lorata Gorgos, they needed to keep the seadweller's name in the news and make it sound good. The better they did, the better she looked.
The place was split into two stages. One hosted a fabulous table, set of comfortable chairs and a wall of high heeled shoes. It was perfect for talking to their guests in an interview style of entertainment or the furniture could be pulled off stage to set up silly props for skits. The other stage was rougher looking and emptier. It was this stage that they would be starting tonight's show on. This side was meant for obstacle courses and battles.
And tonight the duo would have the great fortune to battle their dearest inspiration and Scorpa's role model, Lieutenant Sarcel Cincil! Flydra could scarcely believe they had managed to convince her to guest star in the show but she could tell by her moirail's excitement that it had been worth the effort. The three of them stood backstage as colorful lights scanned the floor on stage to begin the show.
"Lusii and gentletrolls, it's show time! Here'sssss SHEshell and guest star Lieutenant Sarcel Cincil!"
That was the cue for them to strut on stage and the two of the teens did so, each taking one side of the poor lieutenant who was coaxed forward to hit a mark on the stage.
"Good evening, everyone! Are you having fun?" There was a brief pause for the crowd to yell back something that vaguely sounded like 'yeagreatskreeee'. "We're excited to perform our very first show in Civisect with someone we all know and look up to, Lt. Sarcel!" There was a thunderous amount of applause for the blueblooded adult. Not only were the SHEshells fans cheering for her but Sarcel had plenty of fans of her own.
"We're going to kick off with a battle against our toughest opponent yet. Whichever side loses has to sit in the hot seat for the second half of the show!" The loser(s) would be subjected to a round of embarrassing questions known as the 'SHEcret Segment'. There wouldn't be anything truly humiliating to answer, they didn't want to make Sarcel look bad, but just some harmless fun.
"Are you ready?" The two girls looked at Sarcel with mischief in their eyes. They were dolled up in the latest fashion trends and accented with sparkling sequins that would catch the light well. Girlish hair accessories littered their long ponytails and it seemed they were still sporting some of the makeup brands they'd been sponsored by for Superstar Authority. Sarcel had been encouraged to dress flamboyantly as well but they had not enforced this upon her.

Unfortunately, Sarcel and flamboyant were not words that went hand in hand.
Fortunately for the SHEshell's, Sarcel had actually made a vague attempt. She had very little idea of just what she'd agreed to, and the idea of being up on a stage was actually somewhat nerve wracking, not that she was showing it. Nerves of steel, Cincil, that was something she prided herself on. Still, she didn't look nearly as glamorous as the other two did for the occasion (she showed up expecting a fight, after all, so she dressed accordingly). She wasn't wearing her usual military get up and opted instead for something more sporty, the short-shorts with blue gradient tights and crop-top combo was almost swallowed up by her military jacket (okay, she allowed herself this, she was representing the military after all!) that hung loose around her shoulders, but her sparkly shwings popped out against the rest of her colorless or otherwise hemotyped attire.
Listen! She wasn't here to impress people with looks! She was here to impress them with her punches! Also because Scorpa had asked her to be here and she didn't want to say no, especially not for the SHEshell's first show. Sarce didn't think herself as the soft type, but it was definitely hard to deny the trolls that looked up to her. She'd even relented in the end and allowed them to doll up her face with some cosmetics, which felt really, really weird.
Hot seat...? She wondered silently, but with microphones all around her she didn't want to speak aloud and risk making everyone look silly. Or was she supposed to? This showy television stuff was absolutely bizarre.
"You know it." That was peppier than just agreeing or saying 'born ready' or something right? Maybe she was overthinking this whole thing. "I expect both of you to fight twice as hard for all your fans watching us."
Sarcel already knew what to expect from Flydra's concoctions, but this was her first time facing Scorpa in combat, with herself at a handicap to boot. There was no underestimating them both, they were all lieutenants on this stage. She wouldn't have any shame in a loss here.
"Let's begin!" Taking them by surprise was a cheap shot Sarcel was willing to go for, given the two versus one situation. She immediately side-swept a kick at Scorpa's legs before using the ensuing time to find a better vantage point.
