Kursha hurtled down the hallway with Elidae and wheelchair in tow, the latter two tipping dangerously to the side every time they screamed around a corner. A herd of nurses stumbled after them, voicing innumerable concerns as they followed in hot pursuit, like “No running!”, “Please, quiet down!”, “Someone's going to get hurt!”, and “Sir, you're still bleeding.” Their words fell on deaf spongeclots however. The greenblood continued to sprint down the hall with his passenger, hooting and cackling all the way.

At last, the pair veered into an open door. They came to a stop so suddenly that Elidae was nearly ejected from her chair. The nurses were not far behind, crowding at the doorway like bees at a hive, all a clamour. Before they could set foot inside the greenblood slammed the door and turned the lock. The noise died down to a muted rumble. “Well then,” Kursha clapped his hands together as though, dusting something unpleasant. “How's our favourite leiutenant and princess doing?”

Returning to Elidae, Kursha wheeled her to face the recuperacoons, where Lorata and Sarcel rested. He offered the two a broad grin, despite openly bleeding from the loosening stitches on his chest. “We come bearing gifts! Elidae helped to pick them out. Here.” Retrieving the gift basket from the yellowblood's arms, Kursha set it on the table between the two patients. Inside there were the usual suspects, flowers, chocolates, a card, but there were also a few more unusual offerings, such as a pair of running shoes, a package of shrimp, a case of shotgun shells, and a glittery starfish (or maybe just a star) plush.
