It was finally time. It'd been at least half a night since Mahmud had been wheeled into the medical bad for hospitalization. By now he had probably gotten the emergency treatment and drugs he needed and could take some visitors. Two such trolls approached the door with a couple of takeout boxes and a six pack of bottled strawberry juice.

"I don't know what kind of mood he'll be in. It was a rough end to the mission..." Cerpin admitted to Tevini as they looked over the door. He'd filled her in on the happenings of the ship and Mahmud's condition to the best of his ability but even so, their room mate could be unpredictable at times. His anxiety and desperation to 'not be a burden' could be at odds with each other at times.

But they couldn't not check on him. He was their roommate and friend. And he was probably beating himself up over what had happened.

"Mahmud, you up, dude? Vee and I came to check on you. You doing okay?" He let Tevini open the door so he could carry all the stuff inside. Setting it down on a table, the two visitors gave their friend a worried look over.

So admittedly, Mahmud had been beating himself up mentally over all of this. Just a little bit though, because the order of events his mind was currently at went as follows:

1) Oh gog it hurts.
2) Oh wait
and
3) Whatever drugs they are pumping into me at the moment are working, please keep working.

Followed then of course by his normal levels of self-loathing. After all, they had... well... succeeded was definitely not the right term, but was failing it right either? He certainly failed. He had a ceiling fall on top of him and chucked a hammer at something for ******** sakes. And now he was here, strapped from head to toe in bandages and casts, waiting for his body to just... repair itself.

More than depressing, it was all just very boring. At least the TV in here was bigger than his ol' microwave TV back at his hive. His very wrecked hive.

Before he could lose himself even further into grumbly thoughts, there were voices at the door. "Mmm..." Blinking a couple times, Mahmud tilted his head as much as he could and then grinned wildly. "You guys..." They... they really came to visit him? Tevini and Cerpin? "Hey guy-- OW OW OW OW" In his excitement, Mahmud tried to sit up far too fast and felt the consequences, quickly flopping like, two whole inches back onto the bed and ******** ow... owie... uh... but... Oh man! Guys! Guys am I glad to see you, you both okay?"

"We're okay." Tevini replied. Sure Cerpin's leg was still healing but compared to Mahmud he was golden. The orangeblood had fared far worse from the mission than either of them had. She hoped he wasn't in too much pain, it looked like he'd been hooked up to some sort of medication.

"We're not the ones confined to bed rest." The redblood pointed out with a small smile to show she was teasing. She took a seat next to him and gently helped him sit up, stuffing a pillow behind him to lean on. Tevini wasn't going to tell him not to sit up, she understood the urge to be able to see everyone in the room. Though her need usually came out of fear. She was getting better at least.

"How are you feeling?" She asked once he was settled. She'd brought a few small extra gifts, nothing extravagant, but wanted to wait and see if Mahmud needed anything before diving into them.
