[PRP] Lessons In Tactics (Connie/Mihail)

Following the fiasco of needing to replace Mihail's order (free of cost to him), Connie was still a bit down. She hadn't packaged the delicate piece she had toiled away making as nice as possible for the purpleblood. While she had corrected the situation, and personally hand delivering the replacement the girl still felt down about the whole situation. What was supposed to help their business had instead cost double the materials. Sighing a bit dramatically, Connie glanced at her note in hand. She had handwritten out an apology she planned to deliver to him today. It was also a good way to follow up to make sure the goods she had delivered were well received.

Considering he'd sent a troll to investigate her, she hoped he still didn't harbor any ill feelings towards her. He was a nice troll, stutter and all he just was a bit reserved it seemed like was all.

Rubbing her neck slightly she crawled on Mima Swift's back. She left a message for her brother to tell him where she would be. Heading out to the beach she made her way to the purpleblood's dwellings. While a bit nervous he would reject her visitation, Connie figured it was worth a shot.

Before too long she had arrived. Slipping off her lusus's back she nuzzled her with her marked cheek before scampering across the other trolls lawnring. Raising her closed fist, she knocked sharply on the door before buzzing the doorbell. She waited, rocking on her boot heels as she glanced at her lusus, then back to the door.

Mihail was used to Knetic dropping by whenever he felt like it- so he wasn't that surprised when the doorbell sounded, but he was a little confused. Knetic had just left, after all. It was reading time, as dictated by Aligaa. Speaking of the lusus, the massive alligator was moving around from the back of the hive to the front - evident in the low rumbling sound he was making. Aligaa was upset... that meant whoever was at the door wasn't Knetic, and Aligaa wasn't taking kindly to the schedule being interrupted. Oh boy.

He dogeared the page he was on, then set the book aside before hopping up to run to the door before Aligaa could finish rounding the side of the hive. It was times like this that he considered maybe adding on to his hive if only to make it harder for Aligaa to reach the door when he was out back... He hurriedly pulled the door open, then... froze, blinking. This was... oh, "C-Connie?" He tilted his head in confusion, then jolted a bit as Aligaa finally rounded the corner of the hive, grumbling loudly. "A-ah... uh, cuh-com-uhhhhh Come in, y-your lusus too or uh... juh--just come in, please." He stepped aside, motioning in a way that might be considered frantic for the redblood and her lusus to come inside.

Aligaa, seeing what was going on, basically roared a protest. Mihail winced slightly. "A-ahh... that's not g-o--good...."

Connie hadn't expected the large lusus to come shuffling around the corner. Her eyes widened as she felt her pumpbiscuit beat like a wild beast in her chest. Unconsciously she inched closer to Mihail, never taking her eyes off the beast that had roared at then.

Even Mima Swift knew not to tangle with the mighty beast. The rat-raptor creature seemed restless as she contemplated snatching up her troll and dashing off. Where it not for the site of the purpleblood that spoke with Connie, the lusus may have done just that before much longer.

Not wasting a moment, she slipped inside when the other troll nervously ushered her inside. Breathing in a bit nervously, she tapped her marked cheeks a few times as if to clear the restless energy she felt. Connie smiled shyly at the other as she waved at him. "Hi...wow your lusus sure doesn't mess around does it?" Connie straightened out her skirt a bit as she looked at the other troll. Her sponge clots were still ringing from the creatures roar. "I'm sorry to drop by unannounced like this..I just wanted to come by and apologize again to you and see how everything is, and how you are." The redblood child added with a small half bow.

His hive seemed spacious and well to do, fitting for such a higherblooded troll. She'd look a little more closely soon enough, she was focused on the troll in front of her for now.

As soon as Connie and her lusus were inside, he shut the door and locked it. Aligaa of course came to a stop outside the door and continued to growl loudly- the sound was grating on the nerves and usually got Mihail to behave within a few minutes but.. he had company, and he wasn't about to send Connie and her lusus back out there while his lusus was in a mood. That'd be basically sending them to their deaths! He sighed, then turned to look at her, barely catching the wave. Ah- well, he supposed there hadn't been time to do that outside... He waved a little in return. "He do--duh-- uh, doesn't like it when the sched---she-schedule gets interrupted. He'll be fine." Mihail shrugged, then started making his way to the livingblock.

"It's fuh--fine, come mama-make yourself comfortable. D-do uh, do you want something to drink?" The realization he hadn't offered anything yet hit him just as he was about to reach the couch he'd been sitting on- whoops... that would be poor manners. "I'm do--doing well, uh, you don't hahahaaave to apologize again though, really. It's a--aaaall sorted out."
