[META PRP] Interstellar Communications (Tevini/Stryke)

Somewhere situated between the stars.

In between missions meant they had a few moments of downtime. Stryke had a lot of trolls to keep tabs on, but he also couldn't make it too apparent he knew a band of strangers. That didn't mean he wasn't supportive or didn't want to make sure each and every single one of his fellow Initiative members were safe. The whole time they were out there, he couldn't help but feel as if they had a lot of pressure on their respective plates. It was a lot to think about, along with gathering as much intel as they could muster. Their mission in space was just as important as the trolls on the ground level as far as he was concerned.

On one particular early morning before turning in, he sought out a particularly friendly face. Finding time to actually stop and access things was no easy feat. Stryke worried anywhere he went their might be a bug or wiretapping in. While that was paranoid thinking, it was a potentially legitimate concern.

Catching sight of Tevini, he flagged her down with a friendly wave. The last time they had really had a one on one, he'd had a meltdown..which in retrospect prepared him to fight and progress as hard as he possibly could in the here and now. He had also done a few missions alongside her, getting to see her work put into perspective she had learned how to handle herself better than he expected.

"evening." He greeted with a small chuckle. He glanced over his shoulder before looking at her. "how are things?" This was the first time in awhile he had not used Forger's speaking voice..it felt odd almost. The stars from space could be seen not far away through one of the windows looking out.

It was frustrating.

Tevini had a lot to think about after everything around her kept going wrong. She'd gotten separated from Cerpin, which had made her incredibly nervous to walk around alone. At the same time, she needed to. This was their chance to poke around and learn all they could about space and what technology was used to explore it! This was exactly what both of them had wanted to do ever since they'd met.

So why were they apart right now?

'Where are you?' Tevini looked bleakly out the window at the sky. She hated how weak she felt at that moment. A flicker of motion caught her eye in the reflection and so she turned around to spot Stryke. He was in disguise but she recognized those eyes.

"Good evening." The redblood replied as he made his way to her. His greeting seemed full of energy, a good sign. Had he been receiving good reports from the other rebels? She had lost track of the others at the moment and failed to stay focused.

"Could be better. How about you?" She admitted before turning the question back around to him.

Stryke felt like he was busier than he'd ever been in his life the more he thought about it.

Even stopping like this made him feel guilty ever so slightly. There were so many trolls to keep tabs on. Try as he might, he hadn't been able to report in with everyone like he wanted. He'd been trying his best on one hand, on the other he had trolls he needed to ensure were alright in one fashion or another. Leadership was still new for him, but he was willing to do whatever it took to see this through.

As he had approached Tevini, he saw the way she looked out to the stars with what amounted to a sad expression. His smile wavered as he looked at her with concern. She knew it was him, he could tell with the way she looked at him. He supposed he couldn't hide from those who knew him well no matter how clever his disguise.

"hm? i'm well. it's a lot to take in. i haven't found everyone, these missions are fast-paced and time-consuming." He sighed slightly. "i'm fine otherwise. you seem like you needed company, however." Stryke added in a matter of fact tone. "what troubles you?" He asked as he leaned against the wall beside the window she'd been gazing out.

His eyes were on her, as he loosely crossed his arms over his chest.
