A couple of kids just workin' the night away...

You may get 10 points per day from completing 300 words of RP (your words, not yours + theirs combined) with another troll or multiple trolls. Other than basing your roleplay on the current completion state of the site you choose (see solo spoiler above to see what completion state equals what activities), there is no prompt to follow for your roleplay.

Once you have reached 300 words, please use the form below. Note: If you start RP on one day, and then complete your 300 words on the next, that counts for the day you completed the roleplay only. You will not receive points for the previous day, and you must wait until the next day to submit a form for points.

Please use the form below to track your points. Form posts do not have to be on the same day as rp/points gained. Any points not submitted through forms will not count towards site completion/final rewards!

So... they weren't going to have anything to do with space ships, at least not for a while. This was fine- they'd... manage. Eventually they'd be able to at least see them, right? Maybe get close enough to touch the outside of one? Mihail hoped so, at least. Knetic would probably love that. "C-come on, lets, uh, lets go find- uh, a task, to work on." Mih took Knetic's hand and lead him off to find an officer in charge of the volunteers. It seemed like most of the tasks involved some form of digging... That wasn't too bad- plus it gave them an opportunity to get more in shape! The pair was handed a couple of shovels, then sent off to dig a pit a few feet away with a group other trolls.

"This, uh, this won't be, too bad. Right? We'll- we'll get to seesee-see the chips, anyway. Ships." He frowned, correcting the mispronounced word. "It'll work, uh, work out. And this is good, good practice. Y'know. For uh, for for stamina- and and and strength." He stuck his shovel into the ground - with a bit of difficulty - then worked on prying the earth up. This... was going to take a while. He continued the pattern of shoving the shovel into the earth, prying the dirt up, then tossing it off to the side until he'd made a fairly decent sized hole. The work was repetitive and mindless - not really things he was fond of but it was important for people of their status to work all positions, wasn't it? How else would those they would command in the future respect them?

After a few hours, he stuck his shovel into the ground. "You, youuh, wanna-- wanna take a break?" He looked over to Knetic, feeling out of breath and like his arms and back were on fire. Definitely more strength training than he'd been anticipating. "Sa--some, some water will help."

What kind of cruelty is this? They weren't going to be able to be around ships, much less touch them and Knetic can feel the frustration boiling in his gut. Stinking liar adults, not telling them this little venture was just menial labor for the younger trolls.

Snapping out of his frustrated little bubble, he squeezes Mihail's hand back, following him over to the officer and getting saddled with their meaningless task for the night. Shovels? Dirt? He can do that. He wasn't going to like it but he can do it no problem. Plus it gives him time to look around and plan a getaway to go find a damn ship to touch.

Knetic giggles at Mihail's verbal typo and pokes at him. "Chips, huh? You hungry, Mih?" He will never insult his stutter but when he gets words wrong it's fair game. "It's just like you to turn this into training nonsense...We left Aligaa behind don't fill in for his lectures..."

A few hours of non-stop work and Knetic is ready to quit, taking the water bottle Mihail provides for him and flopping to the ground in a huff. "This is boring. I wanted to see some ships and learn about space travel but here we are shoveling dirt and rock like carpenter drones." It's unbecoming to complain but he knows Mihail won't judge him.

He pats the spot beside him and tugs on Mihail's pant leg. "Sit down, you're giving me anxiety..."

Shovel comfortably, aka not really, propped up beside him, he resorts to watching others. "...Do you think we'll actually see a ship today, Mihail, or should I quit while I'm ahead. Not the work since it's...kinda mandatory, but quit thinking i'll actually get the chance to be near one anytime soon?"

Surely the adults wouldn't mind if they had a quick peek, but they were also adults which meant they were terrible and they probably would mind and all this negative thinking was giving Knetic a headache.

"Mm..." He hummed in thought as he sat down next to Knetic and sipped his water. "N-no, not tonight. But, we-we-we're still just building uh, the area. So..." He paused to drink some more water. "So ma-maybe later we'll see one. A-a-and I bet you can touch it, or some-suh-something." He nodded, then finished off the last of his water.

The rest of the digging went by as uneventfully as their first half of the night... By the end of it he was totally exhausted and ready to go sleep... but at least the site looked totally completed!

--

The following night they headed over to Alpha 1B to help with progress there. It seemed that most of this site was already completed, they just needed to secure things into place. Easy enough. "Cu-co-come on, it looks like they need he-he-help holding that thing in place." He pointed ahead where a group of trolls was struggling to stabilize a support beam into place for another group of trolls to screw bolts into place.

He took Knetic's hand and then trotted over, nodding a greeting to the troll that seemed to be in charge. The troll barked an order to stabilize the rear part of the support beam while the rest of them attached the front to the base they were trying to line it up with. Mih quirked a brow but... chalked it up to the guy being under a lot of pressure. "Le-let's go. Ma-maybe we'll find some more interesting st-st-stuff to do later." He pulled Knetic along with him down to the other side of the beam, only letting go when it was time to help push the thing into place.

Jeez, how much did it weigh!? He strained, even with the other trolls that were also present. "Should de-de-definitely, uh, definitely find something else aft-after after this..." He pushed as hard as he could to get the beam to line up, but boy... His arms were still weak from the previous day's exercise.

"Oh Mihail, if and when we see a ship I'm gonna touch all of it. So hard." And that was a promise. Knetic beams and downs the rest of his water bottle as quickly as he can, reinvigorated with the prospect of being able to touch something that's been in space. He jumps back up and joins in the shovel work. Hours later, eyeing their progress, he's exhausted and just about ready to collapse on Mihail but he refrains. For now.

--------------------------------------------------------------

"We're doing what now?" Knetic questions, eyeing the large support beam they had to apparently hold up. He grimaces but joins in, side by side with Mihail and pushes up with all his might. ********, his arms are sore from yesterday's digging bonanza but they can hold up some beams. Definitely. Only weak trolls can't support...the support? This train of though makes his head hurt so he quickly abandons it.

"I...don't want to do this anymore, Mihail." Knetic complains, resting his forehead on his companions shoulder. "Can't we go do more soil samples, that stuff was mindless and didn't involve big old beams." Sighing, he grabs around for another water bottle and possibly a snack, anything to keep up his sugar and carb count.

He's happy to munch away until some nameless troll calls them over to oil some stuff? Oil? Like joints? He sighs and pulls Mihail along, following nameless. "We can oil joints. That should give us some time to recover from the unwanted weight training we just had to do."

Donning oil canisters, it was time to oil some joints. These joints were going to be so oiled. Extremely oiled. No one would be able to deny just how oiled they would be. Or would be if Knetic hadn't dropped his oil can and gone down hardcore like a goddamn new hatched wriggler.
