◆ Pᴇʀsᴏɴᴀʟɪᴛʏ: Tessa has a heart as big as she is and a gentle soul to match. She absolutely loves taking care of others, mostly due to her being responsible for raising seven sisters in her mother's stead, and it shows quite clearly. From cleaning, to cooking, and giving meaningful lectures, Tessa is the embodiment of the doting big sister giving her all for someones well being even at the expense of her own health.
This however belies the ferocious warrior's spirit she harbors as she is often the first to charge into battle. She lives and breathes for the fight against the grimm, so much so that her weapons are designed to let her rip into grimm with her bare hands.
◆ Bɪᴏɢʀᴀᴘʜʏ: Tessa's history is not convoluted or tragic in the least. She was born the second child to the matriarch of a faunus clan in the Mistral valleys and a favorite among her very large family, a viking like colony of faunus spanning just over 250 across their territory. Though not the first born Tessa was favored to be the next matriarch of their clan when her mother was ready to step down and thus began her training at a young age. At the age of five she was given a choice between several weapons yet out of all the selections chose a set of heavy iron rings and was made to fight her mother fully armed for as long as she could to prove her worth and resolve.
Naturally that fight didn't last long but from then on Tessa's life was about little more than training to become a powerful huntress.
Years were spent building her natural strength to higher levels, running with stones tied to her back was a common occurrence , and she was even included in community building activities such as erecting new houses, clearing and chopping lumber , and her least favorite, ploughing fields with her bare hands.
Tessas grandmother was left to teach her to use her weapons properly, waking her up at dawn every day to begin her martial arts forms, always laden with heavy iron rings to promote strength in her arms. As time went on and Tessa's semblance didn't reveal itself,she focused more and more on her fighting skill, always increasing the weight of the rings until she exchanged them for heavy clawed gauntlets at the age of 12 and could perform all fourteen forms her grandmother drilled into her, back to back five times a day.
Fsr and away Tessa's favorite time was when her mother opted to bring her along on a hunting trip and taught her how to live among nature. From an early age Tessa learned to fish , set traps , set up various kinds of shelter, purify water, and treat injuries from her idol. Her mother, the current matriarch of her clan and a fierce , but patient and loving woman, always prioritized Tessa's safety over anything else, and taught her to identify signs of grimm in the area from tracks, broken sticks, scratched bark and lack of sounds from local wildlife, all as a precaution to keep her child sage should they ever get separated. Her worries were rarely realized as Tessa was often quiet and attentive, even when they took down grimm together, always letting her more experienced mother take point and backed up up appropriately.
Tessa's training onlt expanded to include her late blooming semblance at the age of 14 when her mother saved her on a hunting trip from a deathstalker by taking its stinger through her belly, the trauma of which caused her to inadvertently use her semblance. After this, Tessa's training intensified , her weights increased to include rocks she pulled from the earth, forms were to be used with her semblance to move the earth, and she quickly learned to use her control over earth during hunts as a way to quickly dispatch grimm.
Much of Tessa's life was the same after that, save for her hunting alone from time to time while her mother recovered, , the greatest change however was her task of training her younger siblings similar to how she had been, and proved a competent teacher. She was patient, kind and taught the children at a steady pace, pausing to explain in different ways to the ones that didn't quite understand. This only changed after the state of emergency was declared, and Tessa volunteered to aid with the relief effort , left her eldest sister in charge, and made her way to Haven.

for strong stance and powerful strikes, and Grecco Roman wrestling. The overall mix is quick, powerful and devastating , and works well for her, focusing on letting her use her immense strength without having to constantly be moving.
