It had been a while since Sox was above ground, so the lights, sounds and vibrations had him quite on edge. He ran through the city without barely making a sound on his light legs, though he soon started scurrying up buildings and webbing across rooftops. The spider always felt safer on higher ground.

He felt struggling against his body. One of his precious catches had woken up but he wasn't too worried. Confident in his web binds he just carried on with more incentive to find a place to lay low quickly.

Then he heard the second one thrash and scream and that made him slow down. It wasn't until he felt pain gnaw at his body that he came to a stop on the side of a high building. Soxum pulled the one biting away from him and dangled the boy upside down in front of his face with a couple of leather limbs. He stared curiously at the metal teeth; Danger. Not safe. Internal alarms went off but he still wanted to keep his new companion. He went to poke at the boy with a human finger but the metal teeth snapped at him and he quickly retracting his hand. Sox suddenly whipped his hand across the guy's face as punishment like he'd seen many others do before. This was how to correct behavior right? "Bad..." Sox uttered calmly then opened his mouth wide, baring his little fangs though not to bite. He shot a web from the back of his throat and it slapped over the dangerous mouth, nearly covering his nose but he should be able to breath, this was a different kind of web to the one around the prey's body. It wasn't as strong but it was a lot stickier and moist.

The spider boy put his dear catch back against his body and leaned forward to look underneath and check the other one, he was prepared to gag him too but after a long hard stare he decided he didn't need to. Sox went back to moving around and flying through the air.

He eventually found a building that looked like it had not seen life in a long time. He went in through a broken window, looked like an empty car park with iron pillars scattered around. Sox instantly began to weave his new bed, but in this form it would be a huge web. It took him a good hour to set up the building which was now full of all types of web designs, even the windows, broken walls and doors where covered. Sox was quite proud of himself to have it all done in such a short time that he couldn't help but smile slightly and a slight blush glazed his cheeks almost matching the pink around his eyes.

He climbed up and carefully, delicately, lovingly placed the two catches in the center of his masterpiece high in the air. They glued straight onto it and the half spider lightly tiptoed back a little to watch them. He stared with his black eyes, now content with the company and could just stay like this for hours. He was a happy spider.

An hour was enough time for Needle to take in everything there was to know about the room he found himself in. He’d stopped struggling with the bindings about fifteen minutes in, feeling that he was exhausting himself without altering his situation in the slightest.

He’d also been watching his captor. There was definitely something fascinating about watching the creature/maybe person spin a massive web, just like the few arboreal/non-tunneling spiders he’d seen in the city. He knew enough about spiders to see where this was going. If there was anything that could cut through the web it’d be Hyena’s teeth, but--

Then he was up in the web, and he was left staring at the creature/maybe a person with growing dread. This was a bad way to die. In battle against Hyena, having wounded him almost to the point of exhaustion? He would have been fine with that. It was dignified, anyway, and part of him getting what he wanted.

Having his guts liquefied and slurped up by something wearing an orange hat just--just no.

”Hey. Hey you.” This obviously to the it’d-be-really-cool-if-you-were-a-person creature/maybe a person.

”This is a shitty idea. I’m guessing you picked us up without knowing who we are.” He kept his voice mostly level, serious. He was just listing facts.

” We’re Slaughtered Lambs. You ******** up. You ******** up really bad. This--” he tilted his head toward Hyena

”--is King Kill’s favorite lovedoll. And I’m his son.” The lie came out easily, no hesitation at all.

”One he actually gives a s**t about. So let us go, huh? We’re already going to come back and murderify you, but if you let us go now it’ll probably be fast. Well, faster.”

He couldn’t think, not beyond the fact that he was unable to move and was in danger. He continued to shriek and snap, desperate to catch and tear away flesh of his captor before the sudden, stinging slap across his face effectively silenced him. Shock and confusion stunned him, but the feeling of a wet, sticky muzzle launched onto his face from some unknown origin in the back of his captor’s throat was enough to jostle him back into thrashing and squirming again- albeit with his yelps and shrieks muffled by a significant degree. He still struggled wildly, hoping to grant himself some manner of reprieve from the tight binds. Despite his efforts, however, he was only given a mere inch or so of room for movement and additional exhaustion.

Wild eyed and panting, he looked around at his surroundings, eager to find some means of escape, or way out. This wasn’t how he intended to die, how he intended for his brief life of freedom to end. Cheeks puffing out in his harsh breathing against the gag, he tried to roll himself onto his stomach, the sound of sticky webbing pulling against itself ripped in his ears. Unpleasant.

His attention turned to the raider beside him. He could stay, he figured, let him suffer at the hands of some cosmic joke for his sins against him. A cruel lesson for a cruel act. Gold eyes flickered to their captor again, unsure of what he was looking at, but all he knew was that he was filled with hatred for it. He tried to shake off the muzzle again, looking for anything nearby protruding out that might facilitate in its removal. Bound and gagged, unable to move or bite only increased his state of eneraged panic. He muffled some insult to the dark-eyed beast, parroting some harsh words he had heard some raiders bark out before.

Sox robotically turned his head at the black haired prey who was speaking words to him. The spider just listened and processed the comments. ******** up? Sox ******** up? Sox bad?

He didn't understand what he did wrong. He stopped their bleeding, sort of and has them tucked in bed to be eaten later. What was wrong with that? He looked at the struggling gagged boy; a lovedoll? Such a term made Sox perk up from being told off. He had a lovedoll now? Does he get to be loved then? Sox quickly approached this lovedoll and loomed close to his terrified face with his fangs dripping. He wanted to love now.

The other prey kept talking and Sox cocked his head to the side to look at him. Son? Who's? King Kill... He heard this before, but couldn't remember where or who it was. Sox suddenly pounced onto the other guy and loomed close to his face now too, four more eyes split open on his forehead as he had a good stare. "I'm his son." he copied, tasting the words and seeing if he could relate. He couldn't fully understand the human's words.

He clicked his neck in a sudden turn of his head to look back at the silver haired one, then he moved over to him again. He watched him squirm and wriggle in his sticky love binds. He liked it. Movement meant it was alive. Sox stroked his human hand down the wrapped body, stopping near the boy's center. His instincts needed to fill these guys up and love them until death. Sox opened his mouth and let saliva drop thickly from it onto a small part of the cocoon which softened slightly. He used one of his spider legs to rip a hole in it which exposed the boy's wriggling crotch. Then he stopped for a moment and crawled away.

This wasn't how it should be done.

Sox began to shrink and change to an almost younger looking form, his long fangs became little stumps, his muscular long torso compressed and lost it's muscle, his other eyes melted away and left him with two big ones. The spider sat completely nude in his full human form with only his hat on. There was small wound on his belly from when the metal teeth bit him but it was nothing to bother treating. He took a moment to adjust to his restricted movement and limbs then he started to plat and braid bits of his hair, catching a lace of his hat in it as he did. Sox then crawled over to his backpack and pulled out his clothes. He didn't like wearing them but he wanted to fit in so he always put them on when he had company. He slipped on brown shorts, then a white shirt and topped it with a pink and brown diamond vest. He slipped on long white socks that reached his knees and then finally put on his pink and brown boots. Sox felt extremely uncomfortable but he bared with it, he should be used to it by now but it had been a while since he was in this form.

Now dressed he lightly crawled across his web. His clothes where coated with a special saliva that he spent days licking and sucking on so they wouldn't stick to his web- a reason he always wears the same outfit. He found out the hard way that he had to do this as he was once stuck to his own web and was nearly eaten by a giant bird.

He made his way to the humans who might even be bigger than he was now and he squeezed in between them to lie down. He tucked his legs and arms up to defend his belly as he didn't like being on his back but he wanted to connect with his precious food so he endured it. He turned his head to face the chatty one and spoke words of his own. "Mine." he claimed and turned his head to the gagged one. "Mine." he repeated and then smiled. He'd get to his instinctive business maybe after a little nap.

Okay, the unpredictable, twitching motions the maybe-a-person was making were freaking him the ******** out. He still couldn’t figure out if it was sentient or not. The hissing threat--as much as it made him want to release his bowels immediately--could have been evidence that it was. He was threatening it, after all; very effectively, he thought. If he was being understood.

It was better when the focus was off of him. Once he’d established that the thing’s interest was, what, amorous in nature. Good for Hyena if the pit dog got his c**k sucked before they died. And good for Needle in that the act would provide a distraction, give him some room to think of--anything. Something.

He kept quiet (hard for him) and let the focus remain on Hyena as he worked on shimmying one particular shoulder up and out of the web. He was at a certain advantage: with four arms he had a wider-than-usual circumference around his arms. He could also press back hard with his back arms to allow the tiny amount of space his front shoulder needed to pull out of the web. He proceeded to follow through with this, though he had to grit his teeth hard as he put pressure on parts of him Hyena had injured. If he could get out--while the needles were all gone, he at least had some drugs in his back pouch. It would be really great to feel nothing right now…

Something shifted in his favor and his front arm pulled free. Dirt-encrusted fingernails scrabbled at the webbing, starting to pull apart bits around his neck and shoulders. He kept shooting glances to the side to make sure Hyena and his c**k were still the focus of the spider person(?)s attention.

He had to admit he was surprised to find the thing shaped like…well, like him, like a person. Clothed like a person, responding like a person…

Well. Good. That should make this easier.

The attention placed on him wasn’t comforting by any means, his eyes watched the figure loom over him with dripping fangs. The saliva seemed to be able to dissolve the binds, however, evidenced by the thinned and destroyed gap in the webbing by his groin. If the saliva could dissolve the bindings, who knew what else it could destroy, what other dangerous secrets this creature could use to harm or kill? He needed to escape, he needed to get away from both multi-limbed beings that vexed him so.

As the spidery being turned away to start dressing himself, Hyena took that time as an advantage to pull more at the hole in the bindings, sharp nails cutting and pulling away at the opening the best he could. As tired as he was, covered in many deep puncture wounds and injuries, as starved and weak as he felt- desperation had a way of turning even the most pitiful of cornered animal into an unstoppable force. He had escaped his bindings imposed on him by King Kill, he could get out of a spider’s trap. He worked quickly, thrashing with more purpose now until his arms were freed enough to shrug himself out of the cocoon, a hand quick to pull away the sticky gag that prevented him from biting if need be.

Curse the Raider! Curse this creature and its sticky silk home! Hyena was free and he intended to ensure that freedom with his dying breath. He gave a gasp of air, moving to try and stumble his way off the web to try and find a means of an exit.

Monroe still wasn't entirely sure how he found this place but was thankful for it none the less. He'd been wandering for days, trying to find somewhere to hide. He'd thankfully manage to stock up on bullets thanks to the kind offerings from a few dead bodies. He leaned against a wall and sunk down to the floor. "Now I need plan," he murmured to himself. He couldn't keep running forever, he knew that much. He had people trying to find him and it would be easier f he didn't have to keep running. He sighed to himself and pulled the gun off his hip and set to cleaning it.

"Perhaps you could kill them all," a little voice at the back of his mind whispered ",it's not as if they don't deserve it." He knew he couldn't do that. His chances of winning against all of them were slim unless he outed himself. He'd kept his "gifts" ,as his father called them, a secret. Not that it mattered now. He pulled a cigarette out of a crumbled pack and lit it with his thumb before going back to cleaning his weapon.

The spider didn't stay between them for long as Sox wanted to show off some of his collectables to his new guests. So he started to crawl away towards his backpack.

As he reached for his pack, vibrations struck through his webs and Sox instantly read their patterns of warning. His little heart raced as his whipped his head around to look over at what should of been his perfectly tucked prey in the centre.

One had already ripped out of the cocoon and even the other was partly out of his too. "..!!" Sox panicked and quickly crawled back over to them.

Seeing the white haired one jump up in freedom made Sox focus on him, the other one could wait.

Sure enough the spider believed his web would stick to their clothes and keep them from running but he was too frightened that they would somehow get away. So before the prey could flee from the shredded contents of the cocoon, Sox just pounced on him but since he wasn't used to his human legs his jump was a little off and he landed at the boy's feet.

With a determined yet stoic face, Sox grabbed onto one of the prey's legs and tightly squeezed possessively. "Stay!" He shouted while trying his best to be an anchor but his light small body barely made a difference.

He should of transformed and tried again as he was far stronger in his humanoid form but he really wanted to relate, be loved and look the same as people, he wanted to fit in. So all the arachnid did was hold tight and hope his prey would go back to bed and love him.

Even Hyena’s greater success in escaping his bindings was working to Needle’s benefit. With two of his four arms free, he’d calmed down (at least enough not to be moving in sheer panic) and could try to think more strategically.

So. The move he wanted to make was obviously to just bid Hyena farewell and go back to the Slaughtered Lambs with a regretful shrug. Win some, lose some. That had been what he’d intended just seconds ago, when he’d been sending Hyena off with hope for a good last c** before the pit dog was devoured.

But things had changed. Specifically, Needle’s chances of dying had changed. There was a big difference between a massive maybe-person, standing overtop him while he couldn’t even scratch an itch and--basically freedom, with a regular-sized person (actually, the maybe person was smaller than him like this--a welcome change for a raider who tended to be shorter than a lot of the Lambs, not that he’d let it stop him) entirely focused on someone else.

Like this, he could care about bringing Hyena back again. Hell, if he didn’t just squash it, he could bring the spider too--a little toy for the Lambs, something to toss while he got the pit dog safely to King Kill.

It took a lot of effort, but he was mostly out of the web entirely (one foot and calf remained stuck, but it was enough) by the time the maybe-person was grabbing for one of Hyena’s legs.

Needle pulled himself up precariously, clenching his hands together into a knot held high over his head. He brought the knot down hard on the back of the maybe-person’s head, teeth grit together again in something between a smile and a grimace.

It had proven to be enough of a challenge to move across the webbing, like walking through wet dust and sludge that only served to help the spider-creature in catching up to him. Difficult, but not impossible. It paid to step lively, never placing too much weight on one foot before moving the other. Freedom was palpable, the faint light that leaked from the above ground streets could be seen, amd already Hyena was forming the next leg of his escape before he found himself suddenly stopped by a notable weight on his ankles.

He paused for a second, whipping around to see the strange creature holding on to him. What minor sensation of fear of capture that did skip his heart was quickly replaced with wild rage- a rage he knew well in the Pits. Without thought- if he even seemed capable of complex thought- he lunged down to claw at the spider-creature’s hands, the flash of silver canines glinted before he descended down to bite for the creature’s arm. Freedom was so close- freedom from the web, from this beast, from the strange hunter from the Wastes- he would not die here, he would make certain of that.

He let out a horrid shrieking cry, the noise echoed through the maze of tunnels and pillars to the ears of anyone that travelled there, and perhaps deafen those who were too close. Another layer of distraction if his clawing and biting wouldn’t offer him release. They seemed to work, allowing Hyena the opportunity to leap off the rest of the web and to bolt swiftly towards any given direction, back to where he had been perhaps.

Anywhere away from those two.

Monroe paused for a moment. "I could have sworn I heard something," he thought staring in the direction said noise had originated from ",it sounded like a scream." He quickly loaded his gun and began to move in the direction he thought he'd heard the scream. Don't let go. Don't be alone. Don't do a bad. Be a good spider. Make friends. Love. Be loved. Don't let go!

Soxum's mind was like a repetitive list stuck in a loop of panic as he clung hard to the humany leggies. Desperate to keep his company he stayed tight, even when his sensative senses felt an incoming attack. Sox yelped as his arms were scratched leaving lines of blue blood dripping down his arms. Tears pinched the corners of his eyes but his face was determined and reverted back to it's stoic mask to try and understand what he was doing wrong. He looked up with his big eyes and saw teeth, those mean-mean bitey things that already hurt him once in his stronger form. He didn't want to feel them again.

"!!!" He quickly let go and fell back a little then he heard a screech that set fear into his spine and he couldn't move. This prey was scary.

In his terror he almost didn't sense the other person come up behind him. He did, but, his limbs wouldn't move as he was still staring at the white haired one running away. He wanted to flee from the attack, to stop it, maybe try asking him not to do it all in the space of a split second but-

A heavy thud struck the back of Sox's head and the spider fell forward feeling his consciousness slip away, his fingers clenched his web in frustration as he felt he just lost both of his catches.. and on that sad thought, he passed out.

That had gone so ******** perfectly. Watching the maybe-person crumple in front of him was infinitely satisfying, and Needle took the time to smugly grab the thing’s pretty hair and turn its neck enough that he could see its unconscious profile.

He would have liked to linger, but by the time he looked up again Hyena was already bounding away, managing to run even on his injured leg. Needle’s heart sank as he shifted, determined to follow, and then thought better of it.

..He couldn’t do it. The pit dog was more tenacious than he was, at least in this moment. He was riddled with injuries, and the idea of bolting after Hyena as he was was horrifying.

”Oi!” he called at the man’s departing body.

”You and I both know you can’t run far on that leg!” And he couldn’t. Probably, right? He hadn’t been faring so well at running before, anyway, before their dual impromptu naps.

Needle fished a hand into the pouch that usually kept his needles, plucking a rust-colored oblong pill (entirely non-uniform in appearance) and tossing it into the back of his throat. This done, he moved to look the maybe-person over. Shame to give away the only bit of flesh he could control at the moment.

Muttering to himself, Needle grabbed the thing’s backpack, tossing it off of the web. Hesitating over how to do it, he plucked the orange hat off of the maybe-person’s head, one hand holding it hard against the creature’s mouth as two other arms carefully slung the thing over his shoulder. He hissed and complained and bitched as the action pulled open every scratch Hyena had landed, sent blood back to the damned chunk bitten out of his arm, but he made it off of the web with the creature, setting it on the floor and looking around for another blunt object to use as a weapon. The rock had done pretty well against Hyena--better than his needles, anyway.

Unfortunately there didn’t seem to be any rocks about…his hands would have to do.

He crouched over the creature, reaching out to flick its nose with two fingers. Another hand was already pulled back in a fist.

”Wake up. Hey.”

Injured, terrified and exhausted, the Pit Dog hobbled as fast as he could through the maze of pillars and hallways. The floors were riddled with traps, no doubt set up by the Spider creature, but fortunately enough for Hyena he was still clear headed enough to avoid them. He hadn’t survived for this long by blind persistence alone- though it most certainly did help him in many ways.

Dodging on an injured leg, leaving a trail of blood droplets in his wake, Hyena found himself back to where he recalled being before. However now the underground wasn’t as empty as it had been upon his first arrival. The smell of smoke caught his nose first, slowing his jog to a slow stalk before he saw the shorter male weilding fire to better see his way through the underground tunnel. Keeping to the shadows to avoid detection, Hyena’s eyes scanned the ground near him. He wanted his mask back, the disguise that helped obscure his face from those who wished him harm. Was this new boy like the other that had followed him there? Was it a new plaything? A possible meal? With the fire in his possession Hyena wasn’t entirely sold on the idea of attacking headlong when he could readily hide instead. He was injured, and facing someone with both weapons and fire.

Sox snapped open his eyes.

His face and body was completely stiff as he stared up blankly at something hanging over him. If it wasn't for the distracting throbbing on the back of his head and pain on his arms, Sox would of lashed up at the person over him who he momentarily thought was about to eat him. Flashbacks of terror threatened to remind him of his first brush with such a fate but lucky for him, Sox was focused on something else; the person's face. It was the same one as the prey he just caught. He was still here?? Why? They always ran... He loves Sox?

The spider finally blinked, still not flickering any signs of emotion on his face as the sticky cogs in his mind tried to make sense of things. His eyes moved to look at the man's arms, all 1,2..3...4 of them? Was this not a human? Sox wanted to copy him and sprout a couple more limbs but then he noticed one of the guy's arms was making a fist and ready to punch him. He looked back to face him and Sox sank a little into his cotton vest and thick hair. Was he angry with Sox?

The spider parted his lips a little, ready to shoot a web in defense. What did he want? Sox slowly lifted his hands up to go an touch the guy's face, he wanted to examine the pray now that he wasn't too sure he wanted to even eat him now. "Mine?" he repeated like earlier, claiming him as his own food to play with only this time it was more of his way of asking him out.
