With the reshuffle of the wings posted and finished and at least one of his wingseconds chosen, A'dras knew it was needed for him to meet his new wing riders and to have them meet one another. They would be a family now, working together to fight thread and they needed to know one another. He didn't need strangers who worked together, he needed his men and women to trust one another and to help one another. This was why Tanis visited each of his riders weyr's and left them a note upon their desks. It was a request for them to meet him outside of the caldera of the weyr, but not too deep into the forests that surrounded the area. This wasn't to be an exercise or a drill, but just a chance to have everyone let their guards down and let the riders and their dragons get to know one another.
A'dras was currently looking over everything, making sure he had the right amount of food and drink, klah and wine, that would be needed. He could always send Tanis out for a request to get more. The green firelizard had just popped back in after delivering the notes and was resting upon his shoulders, draped around his neck. "So, our first duty as wingleaders towards our wing." He spoke out loud to Gareth as the bronze was sitting and observing everything. "What do you think?"
Eyes whirled as they moved to look at A'dras and Gareth gave a nod of his head before speaking. It looks fine. I'm sure they will all enjoy everything. It is a nice way to get everyone to know one another. It will help when drills are run next. A'dras nodded his head, glancing around again, a once over to make sure they had everything. He had never had this position before, had never really wanted it but with C'ryn impressing, he had decided to put his name forward when he heard they were accepting new Wingleaders. The fact he had been chosen had surprised him, but he was grateful for the chance to prove himself.
Now it was just to wait for them to appear before they could get this gathering started.
(Nothing formal guys, just a little meet and greet for the wing! You can rp in here if you want.)

T'at wasn't sure what has possessed A'dras to make him a wingsecond, and less was he sure why the man wanted to have the entire wing meet in a forest. The morning was spent simply, cleaning his Dragon's hide, putting the tack on, and then riding out to meet the man, with Nessuth showing off just as they took a leap from V'rind's weyr ledge. He was going to be a father now, a man who was responsible for the life of his Weyrmate and her child...the thought was terrifying. Oh. but you love it, Mine.. He had to growl in response to his Brown's tease, shaking his head as the dark male barreled in the air, before landing near Gareth with a trill of greeting.
T'at slid off with ease, glaring slightly at the man that now stood as his Wingleader, fighting the urge for a cutting remark. They had ended on poor terms before the latest clutch, and now...Well. T'at wasn't very good at playing nice, no matter how true it was that he NEEDED to be nice. "...A'dras." It was cool, distant, and Nessuth nudged him in response, scolding his partner for the brusque nature of his speech.

Ashlyn had just returned to her weyr, after checking on the Weyrlings, when she had found a note on her desk. After reading it, she went back outside to where her faithful blue waited. She gave a small whistle and then a moment later, a little gold flit sailed out of the weyr, to land on the woman's shoulders. Then she got Gyafrith ready, before climbing back onto his back. Once she was securely on his back, Gyafrith lifted off the ground and headed for the meeting place. Ashlyn was still getting used to the idea that she was in a different Wing after the shuffle. Though she had expected it, as soon as it was announced who the new Wingleaders were going to be. She just hoped she would be able to bond with her new Wingmates, having not been as close to those in her last wing.
At least we know our new Wingleader at least, Ashlyn Mine. Chances are we may know some of our Wingmates as well,Gyafrith thought gently to his rider. A small smile came to her lips, he was right, they had already met A'dras and his son. In fact, his son and her sister were both in the current batch of Weyrlings and had become friends. So that definitely set her mind at ease knowing she knew who would be giving the orders in the Wing. She was eventually brought out of her thoughts as Gyafrith landed near where two of their wing already were. One Ashlyn recognized as their new Wingleader, A'dras, the other she didn't really know. She quietly waved, before jumping down from her dragon's back.

The appearance of the firelizard would have gone mostly ignored by W'dre - for perhaps the same reason most conversations did on a normal day. Dormith, however, had craned his neck into his rider's sleeping quarters to investigate the letter left by the small creature, rumbling and nudging his nose against it. The dark eyed man looked up to the similarly dark bronze, brows raising before he too approached the left notice and opened it to read. The dragon nosed against the young man's shoulder as he shared the contents of the notice silently. Will you go? ........I could. Even in their minds, W'dre's voice was a small, mostly unused thing and Dormith had become particularly sensitive to the pressing of feelings and images on his mind.
Gentle prodding from the bronze was fortunately all it took for mostly secretive and lone-going W'dre to at least change into something slightly more presentable, though he stood for a long time holding the tunic that smelled of dirt and pine to his nose. It was more comforting than the 'clean' smell of soap. It would perhaps appear to be minimal effort, however, as it wasn't much more presentable than he usually was. He just didn't smell like the places he liked to spend time in now.
It was only upon arrival that the mostly stone faced man realized that perhaps with the location of this little gathering, the earthy smelling tunic perhaps wouldn't have been a problem. Dormith gently reminded W'dre that the gesture would perhaps go a long way rather than meeting their new wing (though some of it's members were people who he was familiar with, at least). While many dismounted, he remained firmly on the large Bronze's back, much to his annoyance. Wadre. Go at least say hello. Though there were obviously impressions of thoughts sent back, no actual words were given in turn. A rumble from the dragon, who turned his head to nudge his snout against his bonded, seemed to be enough extra prompting to make the man dismount, though he remained close by still.
Dormith, on the other hand, at least reached out to speak with the other dragons assembled; Gyafrith, Nessuth, Gareth. How do Yours fare this evening?
