As Absinth darted back towards the Bowl, dipping and diving between mountain tops, it soon became clear that she wasn't going to make it back to the Weyr before this flight was over...
Oh well. She was a problem solver, and she was sure whoever she chose would be as well. There were plenty of mountain ledges and caves they could snuggle up in. She turned her eyes back to the males chasing her, more appraising this time than before. So many excellent choices! Such a shame she could only have one.
Ah, lovely Orodeth. she sighed, a touch of longing in her voice. He flew so beautifully, sticking with her the whole way. And of course there was her dear Kindeth, always so sweet. And the handsome Zangoth too. So hard, so hard..
But her heart already knew the answer. Maybe it was a silly one. Maybe she was too easily impressed. But she couldn't help but giggle as she thought about the sincere effort one male had put in from the start. Absinth suddenly turned on her wing, spinning back towards the chasing blue.
Let no one say I'm not a patron of the arts. she laughed, her tail entwining with Galxath's as the two began to fall towards the ground.
((Once again, the winner's rider isn't with the others! xD So if any of the others want to get with G'len, I'm fine with that!))

Absinth: 17 + 5 + 6 + 21 = 49
Orodeth: 62 Galxath: 55 Kindeth: 33 Zangoth: 33

Kindeth watched as Absinth turned back toward them. He was still trying, desperately, to get closer -- maybe, just maybe, he could somehow do something clever, or crafty, or eye catching. Maybe he was still in this race! Every second counted, every moment brought him a little closer. Maybe she would come to him, and she would---
Nope.
Any hope he had was dashed as Absinth went right past Orodeth -- which frankly did surprise him -- and picked Galxath instead. That blue with the dulcet tones, and the rhyming charm. Ah, now that was one lucky fellow! He keened as he quit his forward momentum, and made a long, slow, arc. His wings were tired from his frantic attempt to make up for lost time, but he wasn't overly sore. He certainly could have flown longer. Ah, but the heartache and disappointment that filled him did hurt, and he wasn't sure if he wanted to return immediately to the Weyr.
So the bronze pushed his way back up into the clouds, letting his passions cool, and to keep his disappointment hidden. There would be other flights, other ladies, and other ledge mates. I may have lost... but you might not need to, Mine.
Perhaps his rider might make a new cozy friend. There were riders and weyrfolk who were always agreeable, after all, and Kindeth was quite sure making new cozy friends was the best. Yes, let his rider find some companionship -- then he could meet them properly later.
Back on the ground, S'del felt his dragon's pang of disappointment. Unfortunately, flight lust didn't so easily clear, even with Absinth's choice made. Surprisingly enough, G'len was still there -- Galxath's, he realized, was no where to be seen. In fact, there was a small group of them, each one waiting, or was it more anticipating?
His eyes drifted longingly over G'len, seeing him in a bit of a new light from their weyrling days. Strange how flights could really open your eyes to exactly who was out there. Ah, but the green rider wasn't the only one. There were three women, too: Octavia, Sorcha, and Tyra. Honesty, all three of them looked mighty tempting, too.
Kindeth's quiet encouragement really wasn't helping with his sense of gallantry. He reached up to run fingers through his hair, and tried hard to shake himself of some of that flight lust. He was usually a gentleman, and he certainly didn't want to take advantage of the situation. Maybe Kindeth's flight was over, but S'del was waiting to see what G'len, and the others, wanted. If they wanted anything at all...
((Congratulations, Galxath & Shinos! S'del is down to sweep G'len off... but he also doesn't want to press anyone into anything without invitation. xD I'm happy to let him find another partner if the other ladies are also interested! gaia_star So whatever you guys prefer! He'd be happy to spend some time better getting to know any of them, haha. ))

Galxath could see Absinth was failing. Up in the cliffs that was a bit dangerous, but there were three blues, and a bronze too to catch her. Orodeth had been right next to her the whole way, so when her wings began to strain, he expected her to fold into his side for support. Or at the least, turn to the bronze, who could carry her easily all the way back to the weyr without effort.
So he wasn't quite prepared to see her angling directly towards him, all purple eyes and graceful tail. He nearly toppled from the sky himself when she grabbed onto him, but thankfully he wasn't quite the young buck he often acted like. He might be a bit of a clown, but it wasn't his first rodeo. He trilled delight, looping his neck around hers to help hold her aloft as he cupped the air to pull them out a bit wider from the threatening spires. He'd caught this treasure, and he wasn't about to go dropping her, or crashing them into the side of a mountain now!
Alright Absinth! I knew you'd see! That of all the males, the one you want is me! He crowed, and bore them back towards a perfectly tempting ledge.
Back in the weyr, E'dan could only shake his head, still idly plucking at the strings of his guitar. they really needed to work on Galxath's wordsmithing.

Absinth giggled in delight as she let Galxath guide them down to safety.. Even if it was on a mountain ledge, instead of within the Weyr. No matter. It was a romantic setting, was it not? She'd made her choice.. now she got to enjoy it.
Back inside the Weyr, G'len smiled as he got a last torrent of Absinth's glee before the connection abruptly returned to its usual stream. As her tail curled and entwined with Galxath's, his hand reached out for the closest arm to his, steadying himself from the sudden sense of vertigo. Like waking out of a daydream, he looked around those gathered, a little dazed.
Absinth's mind was intoxicating as always, pushing him to be bolder than he normally would be. His eyes drifted towards S'del's, whose arm he had grabbed, seeing the way he looked at him as well. Safe to say the feeling was mutual. A burst of Absinth's laughter rippled through her rider as he grinned back at the man. "Want to find somewhere more secluded?" he asked.

When G'len reached out an arm to steady himself, it was almost too much. Kindeth may not have won, but all that dragonlust was still swirling through his system. Even with the flight over, his usual laid back demeanor was overrun by something a bit more feral. Kindeth was only too encouraging -- he knew what his rider wanted, and what his rider needed, and right now that was G'len. Why shouldn't he get to catch someone, just because his claws were empty?
Thankfully, the green rider seemed agreeable. That grin and his request was all he needed to make his move. "Absolutely," he confirmed. He took just a moment to lift that hand that had reached out to him, and bring it up to his lips in a kiss. Just because he was still feeling the flight, didn't mean he had to be a beast about it. Well, not unless that was what G'len wanted. "My weyr's not too far," he suggested. As a bronze rider he had one of the more convenient, slightly lower, weyrs; it might require some stumbling up of stairs and a few dark corridors, but he was confident they'd make it. And if not, well.. they'd find some place just fine.
