A low yawn escaped Zhangs muzzle as she slowly made her way into the meeting room of the station. To her surprise, she found that no other officers were here. Guess I am the first one in today... She muttered to herself. She walked around the room for a bit to kill some time before she would take a seat at the table. Now we play the waiting game...

Sipping her coffee, a milk and sugar blend making it look more like chai tea than coffee, the lieutenant looked over a few files. Most were fairly ordinary; loitering complaints, harassment reports, speeding tickets, and the occasional noise complaint. "Another uneventful week in our thankfully quiet little town." The young looking woman commented as she made her way to the conference room. Even though it had been peaceful, Mavis preferred to check in with her officers. There were somethings they felt off about but wouldn't want to make a paper trail thus wouldn't mention it in reports for fear of ramifications.


Pushing open the door without looking up the lieutenant sat in her seat as she read the last of her paperwork. It wasn't until she'd finished that the woman noticed she wasn't alone. "Oh Zha....I mean Officer Zhang you're here early....." For once Mavis found herself actually desiring to make small talk, unfortunately she wasn't sure how to start. "Um....nice....I mean how have you been?" While not the most graceful exchange Mavis was relieved to get it out.
