The teasing touch of her tail caused Orodreth to let out another croon to her, his concentration faltering as he focused upon her the most. His wings paused in the sky as he turned his attention back towards her, his whirling purple eyes watching her, pleased by her words of praise, even though it was towards the other males as well.

The sight of Kath having trouble rising high into the air made his two hearts beat faster. He slowed himself down, watching as she tried to move and plummeted some. He moved close, ready to try and catch her falling body if need be, but she had saved herself and pulled herself back up towards the stars above. Orodreth's focus went back towards the flight at hand, but his eyes now stayed upon Kath more intensely then he had before.

Tyra tore her focus from her books, pushing herself up to her feet and moving to the door. She leaned against the wall beside it, trying to get herself under control. She didn't think she would go out and find the lovely green's rider, but she wanted a partner to fall into bed with. There was also Orodreth's urging to go and find a partner, even if he did not win.

A hum rose in Seth as he beat his wings, rising after Kath. But lovely Kath, they are words of truth! You shine brighter than the stars in the sky, gracing us with the best parts of it tenfold! If anybody human listened, they'd probably have said that, perhaps, a dragon bonded to a Harper was a good thing, as the bond and time spent with his dear Harper bonded meant Seth could wax poetic if he so chose to. Today, it was a skill best applied to the star of his affections.

Even if Seth didn't catch Kath, and he went off to find somebody to spend the remainder of the flight with, seeing the smile on Seikih's face was a wonderful sight to K'san, small as the smile was. He sat down away from her, though, respectable enough even under the influences of a mating flight to give her space and not crowd. Some Green riders didn't mind and welcomed it, others could be spooked by it. K'san was pretty sure Seikih'd be more on the end of spooked.

Sameth gave a triumphant bugle as Kath turned her attention on him, if only for a fleeting moment. He watched as she began an ascent only to lose height in a momentary plummet. Threads of yellow swirled amid the purple as he dropped down to assist if needed, but Kath was tenacious and fought her way upward. How can we resist offering words of love and temptation when we are chasing the loveliest green in all of Pern~? he crooned to her.

Z'yden paced just outside his weyr. He needed to move, to just go, but where? He could feel Sameth urging him to find someone for the flight, but he shook his head and told his blue to get his mind back on his chase. A few more laps in front of his door before it wasn't enough anymore and Z'yden began walking out among the other weyrs. He was full of nervous energy, torn between wanting a partner for the flight and thinking about the possible aftermath.

Ripzareith powered ahead, trying to catch up. He didn't seem to be making much headway, though, and began trying to think of something to say to the lovely green struggling up ahead. "Lovely... Beautiful Kath!" he panted out, straining his wings to catch up with any member of the flight. "There are so many fields that do not come near to matching your beauty!"

J'iah had to stifle another snicker at his brown's lack of verbal grace, and set to climbing the weyr's internal staircase mazes to try and find the green's elusive rider.

Argoreth might be angry at him for...something, the brown wasn't sure what, but that was okay! Cath wasn't going to get mad back. He WAS a very handsome blue, after all, and Cath took a moment to glance back as he curved to arc upwards, sending trills of approval to him and any other trailing males. They were all beautiful and wonderful, and Kath was radiant and strong! Shouldn't they all just be reveling in the joy of what they were doing?

Kath's soft croon to him pulled his attention back to where it ought to be, and the brown, seeing a rare moment to show off in a green flight that he was otherwise too large, too slow, too barge-like to excel at, trumpeted brassily back. Up to the stars and back, if you like! Oops... His huge wings had pumped once, twice, and already he was having to look down at the green as she still worked her way skyward. He hadn't meant to do that, really...

Argoreth wasn't faring too well. It could have been his rage, the fact he hadn't eaten in a while, or maybe he was out of practice, but it certainly couldn't be because of his skills! His eyes whirled red and purple with the occasional shot of blue when his eyes lay on Kath. He crooned in response to her words, then let out a mental chuckle.

Beauty, what are words worth if the ones who utter them do not live up to your expectations? Let our bodies express our feelings, I will not disappoint. He may have been faltering, but he wasn't giving up just yet.

A'lan finally let go of the door, shaking out his hands to loosen them after gripping the wood so hard. Should he look for the green's rider? But where could he or she be? He stepped into the hall, his thoughts hazy.

Baby, I'd follow you anywhere. Soltoth replied, continuing to twist through the air after her. Though it was still early days, he was keeping pace with all of the browns and even many of the blues, despite the agility of green flights that usually suited the smaller dragons.

But this- this was something he was good at. With long strokes of his wide wings, he continued to soar towards the stars, keeping close behind the green.

The green bugled to the sky, laughing brightly as her wings beat her higher in to the air. If these boys thought it would really be this easy, then they were looking to the wrong green. With a snap of her wings, Kath turned her body in mid-air and plummeted, letting out a delighted croon as she dove past the males and snapped her wings open and levelled out perhaps 20 feet over the ground, ]So soon, my loves, I will fall with one of you, but first you must prove that you are ready. So soon.

Seikih herself offered K'san a smile, leaning her head on his shoulder as he played. Hopefully some of the other riders would find her as well, just in case, but for now, he was here, and just the company near her side was helping her feel better. She almost never taken company before. During flights, ONLY. She was so strict with herself, so unwilling to believe that outside of a flight, partnership was something that could happen for her, "You're good."

Seth watched Kath drop and level off, thrumming deep in his chest. He leveled his wings before folding one, dropping down like a stone to catch up. He had, admittedly, passed by her in the climb into the sky, overcompensating slightly. It was, he had to admit, a downfall of being a brown as opposed to a blue, surpassing the smaller and more nimble blues in size and strength, but certainly not agility. Much like Kath, as he reached an elevation he favored, Seth flared his own wings out. Soon, dearest Kath, soon maybe we might share a song to the stars above? So they may know your beauty properly!

A flush rose up on K'san's face. As of late, he didn't often play for others, not indulging in his Harper's heart. His sister, who had mostly become a Harper so they could remain together, indulged far more often. Of course, her indulgence was often very lude... Today, though, K'san's indulgence was for Seikih's benefit. He hummed, smiling at her as he continued to play. "Thank you, I was training to be a Harper before Impressing Seth." He was pretty sure his skills at lyrics had rubbed off on Seth. He was also thankful that Seth didn't try to sing like Thoth did. Unfortunately, words were quickly escaping him.

Far below and away, a crystal laugh bubbled up out of Saed's chest on a plume of blue-gray smoke. Cath, shining light of my heart, gem of my eye, that star-spun green is going to make you snap a wing for your troubles. Their mental tone was teasing, prodding, buoying, and they lifted a hand to trace tan fingers through their hair, combing it and splaying it over the cushions they had reclined upon. They could tell such fears made no matter. Cath wanted this green. They could feel the desire coursing through their bond, and he willed the brown to catch her eye and her favor.

The brown was too caught in in catching his breath at the sight of radiant Kath falling like a shooting star, possibly to her end--but no! He trumpeted praise as she pulled up just in time, his own wings tucking to send him eagerly after. Amazing! You put all others to shame, lovely one, a star among mere glows! Fortunately for the brown, a 40' dragon fell quite fast. Unfortunately for him, stopping, pulling up, was far harder than for a sprightly green. The brown managed the maneuver, but was left smarting as a bruised claw and a scraped belly were his punishments for such daring. Tomorrow surely his Saed would reprimand him for such recklessness...but wasn't she worth all that?

Laughing as he twisted after her, the bronze's heavy body plummeted towards the ground. He was continuing to keep pace, surprisingly well for a bronze, and snapped his wings out at just the right moment to level out, letting the momentum of the fall continue to carry him towards her. What a beautiful trick! he thought, a delighted rumble running through him and echoing in his rider. He did love a girl who teased.

Oh Kath, you wonderful treasure! The stars are beautiful tonight, but you shine brighter than them all. You can keep this dance going for as long as it pleases you.

While his dragons was twisting and and turning through the air, S'rse was doing the same within the winding caverns of the Weyr, making his way to his friend's room. Though she did tend to keep to herself, they were weylings and had been candidates together, and he knew her fairly well. Otherwise (Hold bred boy that he was) he might not be seeking her out. He stopped just outside her door, side-eyeing the somewhat distressed looking man outside it, before knocking gently.

Opening the door after he knocked, he moved inside. "Hey." he muttered in quiet greeting, mind still half wrapped up with Soltoth's in the flight.

The praise he, and the other males, won helped to push Orodreth further and harder. He watched as she suddenly turned and plummeted again, though this time there was control to her actions. Like Cath, he let out a triumphant bugle towards the beautiful green Kath as she leveled out, twenty feet from the ground.

Pulling his wings in towards his own body, Orodreth turned upside down, watching as he plummeted towards the ground, gaining speed as he did so. But he was an agile blue, even if he was on the larger side, and it was easy for him to unfurl his wings in the blink of an eye and level out, right upon the lovely Kath's tail. He had noticed a familiar brown as he had dropped, the brown dropping quicker then him thanks to his weight. He reached out to Cath, there was a chuckle in his voice as he did so. Brother! He had not seen Cath in ages and had not expected to see him while he had been at High Reaches. Whether one of us catches her or not, we must catch up. All of this was sent to Cath as they had passed, and once he was leveled out above the ground, Orodreth's attention was focused upon Kath.

Beautiful shooting star. Let us show those watching what we can do. How agile a blue and green can be, how spectacular of a show we can put on compared to a gold and bronze.

Sameth laughed joyously as he watched Kath plummet and then followed in her wake, wings held tightly to his back as he spiraled downward. At the last possible moment, the blue snapped his wings out in a loud crack of sound as he leveled off and followed the path of the starry green. You make a beautiful falling star, won't you fall with me?

Sameth's fall made his rider dizzy for a moment, and Z'yden leaned against the nearest wall to clear his head. When he could focus again, he realized he'd made his way to Seikih's weyr. He inclined his head to her and K'san, offering a weak smile.

Ripzareith had just made the group when the green dropped, so he was all too glad to snap his wings shut and arch towards the ground after her. His wings snapped open timely, but he still wasn't close to catching up with her, and the unusual flight pattern was showing, as he worked to correct his path so it wouldn't land him trotting about like a runner-beast. ~I would fall with you any time, lovely, beautiful Kath!~

J'iah had started to pant as he made his way up the stairs, pausing a moment as his very focused Ripzareith sent him the notes he'd been needing. He grinned, thanking the beast mentally, and turned to go back down a flight and find the floor he'd been looking for, now starting to hunt for the appropriate weyr's entrance.

So weary...Soon, she would have to let one catch her, make her choice of males that followed. Her wings spread as she chose to make one last show of things. A slow but difficult twine through tightly knit peaks, until she headed through the bowl, Come, my loves...I adore the attention but I am not quite ready yet....Soon. She wanted to pick, but ah. How could she choose? So many fine males, all of them lovely and worth her time. She wanted to twine herself with more than one, but Hers would likely throw quite the fit.

Already, more were comig, "It shows." She said to K'san, before S'rse walked in. Her Weyrling friend. The one who had Impressed a bronze who was brother to her Kath. He got a bigger smile, eyes lighting up with delight. Oh Faranth, it was good to see him, "Hey, S'rse." She'd missed him. The boy by the door got a gesture of welcome, inviting him to come in, "Well....I guess I'm spending the night with one of you...Kath says it's about time I....sharding well enjoyed company...or something..."
