Welcome once again aspiring pokemon trainers to your next important lesson about the pokemon world: Pokemon Tag/Double Battles!
That's right! You are no longer limited to just One-on-One battles, but you can grab some friends and you all can battle together! Tag Team Battles are referred to battles between two trainers against another two trainers. Double Battles are just one trainer versus another, but using two Pokemon!
Now pay close attention! This Pokemon Battle Tutorial is meant to teach you everything about this new battle mechanic. Since you are here that means you have read the Double/Tag Battle Rules and are hoping to get a more in-depth explanation about them.
So follow along with this battle and if there are any questions just post Here and we'll be sure to answer them.
After long preparation the stadium was ready. Of course it was only a training battle, but to not take it seriously would diminish the battle's importance. It was an honor to take part alongside such strong opponents. He was called to enter the stage as he processed his thoughts. He strutted down the walkway and into the open battlefield. Looking up to the view of the audience and lights, he swished the cape draped around his form and revealed a head of blonde hair riding the air created by the cape's removal and a sword at his waist. While it was strange for a trainer to carry such a thing it certainly had it's purpose.
The man smiled and raised his hand in a wave to the audience,"Hello adoring public! I thank you for spectating what is to be a magnificent battle today! I am honored to be here for I, Javier Sørensen, Knight of the Eterna City's Sørensen Clan shall do all of you proud by presenting a battle fit for the strongest of pokemon!"
He unsheathed his sword and at the hilt he attached a pokeball. He grinned and slashed his sword in attack,"Come forth my trusted comrade in arms, Sumabrand!" The slash from the pokeball caused the pokeball to travel down the length of the sword and release once it hit the tip of the blade- a launcher only fit for Javier to wield. The pokeball was released and from the ball a glow slammed to the ground and kneeling before Javier was an Empoleon.
The Empoleon stared up to Javier and his trainer bowed in response,"Rise up my valiant friend for we charge into battle!" Sumabrand stood and slashed his wings with the sharp noise of metal ringing in the air- the pokemon was ready. Javier loved the anticipation for this fight, but one thing still had him waiting, "Now where are thy partner?"

Amelia was having a severe case of deja vu as she walking onto the field and was greeted by the cheers of the audience. There seemed to be an order to the trainers that would appear for this battle. Apparently, she was the second as she walked a man with a sword greet the crowd. Her stoic face was hiding the face palm she did earlier as she watched the 'knight' introduce himself to the crowd. She wanted to be respectful but hearing one call themselves a knight warranted some kind of response that she could not physically give so she went the mental route. Granted it was pretty interesting to watch him use his sword to summon out his Empoleon.
Amelia walked with the regal posture as her name and title was announced. She didn't need any words, her body did and said all that was needed. Amelia looked at Javier as she revealed her pokeballs around her waist. A gloved hand grabbed the small ball before it enlarged itself with press of a button. The ball was a custom color as she threw the ball up and out to reveal her Gardevior. The pokemon looked at Amelia before it approached the woman, taking her hand for a moment. Amelia allowed the pokemon to hold her hand for the moment before they turned to face their opponent together. She assumed opponent from how they were on the opposite of the field of each other.
Both of them curtsied before Amelia spoke. "Nice to meet you....Sir Javier..." while not condescending, she was taking some liberties with the title. "I do hope you can bring some excitement to this battle."

tabA white-haired woman dressed in the most casual looking jersey awaited her turn to enter the stage, impatiently tapping her feet in excitement. Word was that the trainers invited to this shindig of a tag battle were a bunch of hotshots who were nothing to sneeze at, so she knew this was something to look forward to. Quickly peeking at those on the stage, it seemed like everyone present so far looked like they were dressed to impress, by her standards anyway, making her feel a little out of place with her jersey. Did she miss a memo or something? Not that she owned anything of the sort and it wasn't like she could change now of all times. All she could do was shrug it off.
tabThe crowd seemed to be eating up the blondie's intro, especially so when the man slashed his sword out to reveal who his Empoleon. Who carries swords in this day and age? Though to be fair, the sword did look badass and she kind of wanted to see it up close. Were knights even a thing anymore? She wasn't one to talk though, calling herself the outdated term of sukeban. Meh, she liked the ring the name had to it, so she didn't care much either way. She didn't know who Javier was, but this knight guy seemed like an entertaining opponent to say the least.
tabOn her side of the stage was a bespectacled, snooty looking woman she recognized as the winner of the last tournament held at this stage. Good. She no longer had to worry about being dragged down by her partner. Question was whether she herself would drag the team down, not intentionally of course, but she had a bad habit of easily getting hot under the collar and she was annoyingly aware of this. Aki had a feeling that the two of them wouldn't initially gel well outside of battle, but who knows if they would inside. Her Pokemon introduction was a little much too as she and her Gardevoir held each other's hands before facing their opponent. Was she trying to pander to the audience with some fanservice? The dense Aki honestly didn't get it.
tabWhen it came her turn to enter the stage, the woman stomped onto the scene with her hands in her pants pockets and the most apparent look of anticipation in her eyes. No need for the fancy schmancy theatrics, not that she could pull anything of the sort if she tried, just some good old passing the rock kind of throw to let Bang out. And by passing the rock, she obviously meant throwing it at 80 mph. A giant green dinosaur Pokemon quickly shot out of the fast Pokeball. He stopped himself, not quite as quickly as the launch but still fast enough to barely stop himself from hitting the opponents' side of out of bounds of the battlefield, by planting his feet on the ground, kicking up some dust in the process. After Aki's Pokemon had walked back to their side of the field and when the dust had slightly calm itself, Aki began to speak or rather shout. "Osu! Let's make this a good fight, yeah?" she said facing both of them before going back to Bang. "Oi Bangarang! Let's give them something to really scream about!" The Tyranitar did as commanded and vehemently roared, filling the whole venue with an obnoxious battle cry that lasted for a good few seconds and followed with placing his claws on his hips in triumph. "Now that's what I call an intro!" she said with gusto, obviously pleased with herself and arms crossed. The crowd though... Maybe not so much. See? Totally no need for theatrics for Aki!

"What a splendid crowd," a man carrying a mischievous grin commented as he made his way to the stadium's battleground. He could hear the chanting voices of the audience, feel the echoes running through him and throughout the stadium. Many people in this world loved Pokemon Battles and every trainer understood that exhilarating feeling that rushed through your body when entering a battle. Like second nature, your heart starts to beat a little faster, you feel the hairs on your body stand on end, and your palms might even get a little sweaty. Albert Auguste believed that there wasn't a single trainer in the world who didn't have this feeling and if anyone said otherwise then they were lying. He knew the other trainers were waiting on him, but he decided to take his time and enjoy a good smoke before entering this battle demonstration. There were rules against smoking inside the stadium and he didn't want to be scolded by that lovely blonde from before (or did he?). Taking a deep breath and then sighing, the cowboy stepped towards the light as his shadow stretched long and wide as if it were alive.
Albert had arrived much too late to witness his fellow trainers' introduction, but from the way the stadium shook he knew they must have caused quite the uproar. He was wearing his usual hat and long coat with the sleeves rolled up as he entered the stage with his shadow following right behind him. What a strange thing his shadow was, the stadium was brightly lit meaning that most shadows were merely a dark spot underneath the competitors. However, Albert's shadow was stretched quite far and had more presence than it should possess; this was only more obvious for the audience who had a higher view of the trainers and thus could clearly see the difference in Albert's shadow size. "Looks like I'm -as they say- Fashionably Late or maybe everyone is just too early," the crowd continued to cheer, but not as intensely as when his fellow trainers had introduced themselves. Three strong Pokemon were already present on the field with one particularly massive Pokemon who was beginning to conjure quite the sand storm.
"Toutes mes excuses, I was...caught up, in a private matter, but allow me introduce myself," Albert took off his hat and bowed to the trainers present, "my name is Albert Auguste, it is a pleasure to meet you all." He returned to standing up straight and glanced at his battle partner for the day, "Monsieur." He then faced forward and his eyes caught the sight of Amelia as another grin appeared on his face, "Mademoiselle." His eyes then caught sight of Amelia's battle partner, a white-haired petite woman with a wild look about her that caused Albert to pause as if he was watching a white tiger; beautiful appearance, but carried a strong presence. "Well well well, looks like I've found a jolie petite fleur on this battlefield." The crowd's cheers brought him back to his senses as Albert looked at the crowd and waved with a more friendly smile on his face. "Enough pleasantries, these people came to watch a battle and I will not deprive them another second!" Albert's eyes widen as his smile changed into a smirk. His shadow suddenly started going crazy as it moved stretched an all side until it separated from underneath Albert's feet. The large shadow moved about the battle field as if it were a shark on water until finally it burst from underneath to reveal itself to everyone.
A purple ghastly purple form emerged with a wider grin than any Pokemon; Gengar, the ghost Pokemon. "Now that we're all present...let's begin."

Battle Post Order: 1) Albert (rolled 59) 2) Amelia (rolled 55) 3) Javier (rolled 53) 4) Aki (rolled 51)

Tag Battle Rules:
1) As with regular battles, all entering participants will roll 10-10 sided dice with their introductory post. The result will determine the move order for the rest of the battle. Pokemon who have a positive Speed nature must still roll a dice, however, if one team has both Pokemon with positive Speed natures than that team will automatically go first.
2)Each player makes a total of 4 POSTS. 1 introductory post and 3 battle posts each. Each trainer must post a total of 3 times with at least 250 words per post. Failure to follow the word count rule will cause your post to be ignored when the battle is being judged for the final results. When all 4 players have made 3 battle posts each then judging will commence to announce the winners.
4) Battle moves and Abilities that are used for Double Battles such as Wide Guard and/or Telepathy will have their same effects as the Pokemon games. However, if you have any questions about a move then please post your questions in the Questionnaire Box.
5) The Battle mechanics from One-on-One battles still apply. Each attack must have a target unless the attack is a Multi-hit attack (ex: Swift).
IMPORTANT: In tag battles or battles involving more than 1 opponent, you must roll accuracy and status ailments for each Pokemon involved individually. Going by the order provided in the single battle rules, the dice order for tag battles, depending on the number of status ailments the attack can inflict, goes as follows: all dice involving the highest Pokemon in turn order(if concerned) excluding yourself, all dice involving the second highest Pokemon in turn order(if concerned) excluding yourself, and finally all dice involving the third highest or last Pokemon in turn order(if concerned) excluding yourself. Example: 1st Dice: Accuracy of hitting Pokemon A. 2nd Dice: Status ailment affecting Pokemon A. 3rd Dice: Accuracy of hitting Pokemon B. 4th Dice: Status ailment affecting Pokemon B.
"Alright let's get this party started!" Albert laughed as the air around them changed. Tyranitar's Sand Stream ability activated and the battle ground was now covered by a sandstorm. The Rock- and Dark-type Pokemon was a problem, his ability immediately granted him an advantage while giving everyone else a disadvantage. Albert grinned, Tyranitar was the worse match up for him and hopefully his teammate would realize that and keep the green beast away from his Gengar. Amelia's Gardevoir was his focus and he was confident that his Pokemon could handle himself but he needed to have a little leverage just in case. The knightly sir Javier might have some problems with his methods, but there was purpose to his madness. "Why don't we make things interesting?" Albert smirked and his visible eye flashed with mischievous intent. Gengar's grin seemed to have widen, which seemed almost impossible for the ghost pokemon. "...use Perish Song." The purple-colored Pokemon opened his mouth and a terrifying scream erupted from him. This scream was accompanied by black and crimson waves of energy. These energies reached every Pokemon on the field and wrapped themselves around the Pokemon's neck including Gengar.
"Let us play a little game...we have three turns for one team to defeat the other before the timer runs out on Perish Song." Albert looked at his fellow trainers to make sure everyone was paying attention. "If the time runs out then we all lose...fun, right?" Albert chuckled and wondered if anyone else would understand his humor. Gengar stuck his tongue out and continued to swayed back and forth in place. Their turn was over and Albert wondered whether he left an impression on them or not. The crowd certainly seemed to enjoy the show since their cheers had not stopped since the battle began. Albert glanced at Aki, she was the most dangerous for him at the moment, he couldn't ignore Amelia either which made the whole situation all the more dangerous. The outcome of this battle might depend on their teamwork as well as the teamwork he would have with his own partner, Javier. Speaking of the man with the sword, his Empoleon looked like quite the powerful Pokemon. His typing gave him an advantage over both Gardevoir and Tyranitar, naturally Empoleon covered Gengar's weaknesses in this battle and made his partner very valuable. Albert grinned and thanked his luck for being provided with the best possible partner for his Pokemon.
"Your move mademoisellle." Albert winked at Amelia.

As the battle began, a sandstorm whipped up from her side of the battlefield. It seemed that her teammate's, the wild woman, had the ability to sandstorm. The move was a double edge sword -Damn Javier- since Reina was neither ground, rock, or steel meaning that she would get hit per round. However, it was the same on the same with a steel Pokemon and a ghost Pokemon on their side. The sand brushing against her face and hair didn't faze her much as she waited for the first move to be made. Her arms were folded, much like her Pokemon's as they awaited Albert to make their move. She wondered what would be the move. Taking note of the Pokemon types; Reina had a type disadvantage with both a steel and poison Pokemon as her foes. Amelia could almost laugh at the irony of having the only two types that her lovely fairy had to fear be side by side in a tag team.
Amelia focused on the battle as Albert finally made his move. Amelia was actually surprised at the use of Perish Song. The song was a sour shrieking note that choked at hers and Reina's taste as well as the Pokemon's neck as a black aura entangled her and the other three.
Amelia looked at the man as he playfully awaited for her turn. The physical surprised face twisted into a new expression as she fixed her glasses.
"Three turns huh?" Aside from the gleam from her glasses, her lips were moved into a grin that would unbefitting the persona Amelia upheld. However, this was getting too good for her as the odds continued to stake more and more against her. Even the normally stoic Gardevior seemed less and less in pained by the song and more in enthralled by it. "That that means I have to be done with you two rounds. Reina use Shockwave on the Empoleon."
A blue light orb formed between her hands before a lightning bolt of the same color shot out towards the only water type in the battle.
Amelia let out a chuckle as her Pokemon was finishing up their move. "This battle is getting very entertaining....Let's keep the fun going...."

As introductions to their opponents was underway Javier couldn't contain his fascination at their opposition,"Suck lovely maidens before us! You're partners appear strong, I admire that among trainers and pokemon I look forward to see how you fare here today."Though his tone had a hint of condescension he by no means meant anything by it, he knew many of strong trainers both male and female, but even now he was preparing strategies in his mind seeing what the ladies were bringing to the battlefield. His own partner seemed nonchalant in attitude, making his appearance last to the field. Javier broke his focus and joked with the man,"I would never make it a fashion to be late to battle my friend, we mustn't keep such lovely ladies in wait."He felt a tinge of agitation, noticing the obvious flirting Albert was doing toward their opponents, but the mood almost immediately changed once Albert declared they couldn't keep the audience waiting a second longer. Javier reveled in the man's enthusiasm and raised his sword,"Couldn't have said it any better Albert let us begin!"
The battle had begun and already Sumabrand and Albert's Gengar were met with a Sandstorm, no doubt caused by the Tyrannitar's ability. Luckily Sumabrand is a steel type and a water type, so it was assured some defense. The problem he had not foreseen was the Shockwave attack that Amelia's Gardevoir shot at them, clearly aiming for him,"Stand your ground Sumabrand!"Sumabrand leapt in the air in attempt to dodge the attack and crossed his wings by means of defense. Sumabrand was blown back and landed back into the ground, hardening his stance and scoffing, not intending to give in,"Stay strong my friend! Now Albert I do hope you have a strate-" His partner's actions sent him through a loop- PERISH SONG!? He was gaping in disbelief that his own partner would do such a thing. He stepped to towards Albert in a disheveled rage,"A-are you daft?! Do you not realize that EVERYONE on the field will affected?!"
He watched on as Sumabrand shared in his shock as he was taken in by the Perish Song. Javier bit his tongue at his partner's actions,"Tsk...I guess it cannot be helped. I dare say I'm partnered with an eccentric,"he described Albert as he raised the sword from his waist again. Now it was time for his move to turn the tide in battle, "Now Sumabrand show your might with Surf!"Sumabrand nodded and raised his wings then waved them in a sideways motion, summoning water to command. Sumabrand spun and sent the rushing tides towards his opponents. Caught up the rapids as if they were in a tsunami, only this one for only last for a short while it should be enough to do some damage to the hulking Tyrannitar considering the type match-up,"Well done my friend!"

tabAki was no longer a happy camper. Not one bit. Thoughts of wanting to ask Sir Javier went out the window when Aki caught a whiff of slight condescension in his speech, thinking that the man was trying to pick a fight with her. And it only got worse when his partner finally decided to show up. She didn't get what the man was saying when he called her a 'jolie petite fleur', but his tone and her instincts were telling her that it was insulting, especially the 'petite' bit. Was he trying to pick a fight with her too!? The woman's eye began to twitch when the late Frenchman said that there was no longer any time for small talk. The man had the gall to say that, as if the ones who were on time were also the cause of all the delays! "OI!! Whose fault do you think we're late in the first place!?" she shouted in anger as she frustratingly ruffled her hair and repeatedly stomped a foot down with vigor. They were right though, the time for pleasantries was over. It was finally time to start this battle!
tabA satisfied grin was growing on Aki's features as the sandstorm that Bang was brewing started growing in size until it completely covered the field. Nothing felt better than starting off a battle with some accommodating weather! The first Pokemon to make a move was the Frenchman's Gengar with a Perish Song attack. The eerie tune filled the stadium, irritating both herself and her Pokemon. First the man delayed the battle, now he wanted to end it early!? This was unforgivable! "Heeeh... A game you say? Yeah, real fun..." she said in an obviously irritated tone, her grin now a little more malicious as she cracked her neck and knuckles as if she were preparing for a fist fight. She didn't want to admit it, but Amelia was right; things were getting interesting, even if she was ticked off.
tabAmelia was on the ball and not shaken at all as she quickly commanded a shock wave attack on the Empoleon. Yup, Aki definitely didn't have to worry about being dragged down. The attack flawlessly landed on it's target as the bird Pokemon was blown back some, putting him in a defensive position. This did not last long as he went on the attack, sending large bodies of raging water at both Bang and Amelia's Gardevoir. Rather than attempting to dodge the attack, Bang decided to face it head on, arms out ready to block. The storm around him proved itself useful as it helped shield him a bit from the surf attack. Whether it was bravado or not, a victorious roar was let out soon after the brunt of the attack ceased as if to tell Aki he was okay. Not worried in the slightest, the woman couldn't help but let out a roar of her own, hers in the form of laughter when Javier called his partner eccentric. "Hah! That's rich coming from a man carrying a sword around!" Though despite her laughter, she thought the same.
tabAfter all the watching and waiting(and getting attacked), the two finally saw an opportunity to go on the attack! "Hey Bang! Let's give a Rock Slide, yeah?" Bangarang let out another roar as he was wrapped in a greenish glowing hue with both his arms raised. White energy rings began to manifest themselves above him which then released large boulders to fall on his opponents. It wasn't the strongest move to use against them, but she thought she'd chance a flinch while getting a better idea on what their battles styles were.
[[A sandstorm kicked up(1/5 Turns)!! Special Defense is raised by 50% because of sandstorm(Rock Type)! Bangarang used Rock Slide! The attack hits both Gengar and Empoleon! No flinches! It's not very effective on Empoleon! Bangarang restored some health(1/16) due to holding leftovers!]]

Albert laughed whole-heartedly when Javier called him out about using a move like Perish Song. "Of course I do! Having a little risk makes things fun," He glanced over at his knight-like partner, "why so serious?" Gengar giggles into his hands, at least someone was finding his jokes funny. Albert grinned when Amelia mentioned that her team would have to win before Perish Song took out everyone. Good luck, love." Gardevour used Shockwave to attack Empoleon, the Electric attack was supereffective on the water-type pokemon. Albert agreed with her play since Empoleon was the biggest threat to Amelia and Aki's Pokemon. However, leaving Gengar alone would prove to be risky, but maybe they didn't have to worry about that since his battle partner was taking care of that already. Albert sighed with a smile on his face, "monsieur, 'surfs up', I believe is the saying?" He was speaking with irony of course since Javier commanded Empoleon to use Surf, a move that struck all Pokemon on the field. Gengar was struck by the wave and once the attack was over, he shook his body to try and remove the water that was all over him. Unfortunately for the ghost-type Pokemon, he had more attacks coming at him. Aki's Tyranitar used Rock Slide and like the name suggested, rocks were hailing down on Gengar and Empoleon's side of the field. Empoleon could tank the attack very well since he resisted rock-type moves, but Gengar didn't have such resistance and to make matters worse Sandstorm was still going which added more damage to Gengar. "Hang in there, old friend," Albert encouraged his Pokemon giving him a thumbs up with a grin, "we're going to make our comeback."
The first turn of the battle finished and everyone had taken some damage. The Black Sludge that Gengar was holding restored some of his health which he greatly needed after all the attacks he had to take. It was Albert's turn again and the man took a moment to think about what the best course of action was. He didn't take very long since the best course was always the one that made things more fun. "Let's put someone to sleep..." Albert pocketed one of his hand into his coat while the other hand formed a gun-like hand which was moving between Amelia and Aki as if he was selecting a target. "Inny minny miny mo..." Albert grin as his fingers stopped and they were pointing at Gardevour, "...Gengar use Hypnosis!" the ghost Pokemon started to wave his arms about in a hypnotic pattern. His eyes glowed red as he tried to make Gardevour fall asleep.

As aforementioned, this was not going to be an easy battle or a quick battle unless Perish Song had it was. For Reina, she was contending with the attacks from both the opponents and environmental since Sandstorm effected her as it did the Gengar. However, that didnt mean the other side was getting away unscathed.
Despite being hit with a surf and the Perish Song, Amelia and her team was able to strike back with Shock wave and rock slide. And Surf served a dual purpose attacking Gengar as well. Amelia and in turn Reina chuckled at the Gengar. Maybe it just the fact that Pokemon belonged to the foolish man that made the laugh rather rewarding.
Amelia turned to her teammate, Aki, and the woman's kaijuu looking Pokemon. The rock type was definitely tough considering that surf. However it roared at its trainer who roared back at in return. They were a colorful pair. Nonetheless, the two were pulling their weight and with her next Amelia had planned to help the Pokemon out. Reina would surely agree with her.
However that plan was put to a stop when Albert attacked with no a physical move but rather Hypnosis. Amelia bit at her nail as Reina was put into a trance and then a slumber as the Pokemon slept upright, floating due to her ESP abilities.
"Reina...." Amelia called out to the Pokemon but to no avail did Gardevior awake from her slumber. Amelia sighed before she looked at the cheesy grin of the man. She was a woman of high class and showed that in her battles.
That didn't stop her from sleuth of swears that escaped under her breath in a tongue that was anything but forgotten before she cleared her throat and looked at Aki. She pointed at the woman slightly. "Aki..." her tone conveyed that she had gotten back her composure. "Bury that man and his Pokemon deep enough to wipe that smile right off his face."
Some would call Amelia 'salty' but that word belonged on fish, chips and the ocean. She was livid and goal orientated.
That goal being wiping the floor with the other's Pokemon win or lose.
Not that she would say that aloud as she was a proper woman who learned to internalize such thoughts.

Albert's explanation made no sense to the knightly trainer. He seemed more into flirting with the opponent than the battle. He met his own share of odd-ball trainers on his journey, but Albert was about to be atop that list. He was surprised even more by the women's reactions to his partner's antics, tisking just at the thought of acknowledging such reckless behavior, "When this is over I'd prefer you have your head examined..."he suggested to the man while looking ahead towards the battle. The other girl, roaring just as her pokemon was, mocked him! He gripped the handle on his sword watching this wild woman. Wild as she may be her power wasn't ignored. Her Tyrannitar released upon their side a mighty rock fall,"Sumabrand quickly!"Sumabrand quickly guarded himself from the rocks as they fell, not much could be said for his ghostly partner.
It was fortunate that as a Steel type the Tyrannitar's attacks wouldn't hit as hard, but this woman was intense, could have a few surprises up her sleeve. Albert went ahead and cast a Hypnosis towards Amelia's Gardevoir, a strategic move, aside from the playfulness of choosing an opponent,"Good work Albert- you may have some sense yet,"Attacking all at once to focusing attacks towards one at a time seemed the better option, well for Sumabrand anyways. Javier was ready to show off Sumabrand's close up skills in combat, and maybe that comment from Aki was still under his skin. He smiled at the woman with a furrowed brow,"Milday you dare mock my sword,"he knelt and gripped the handle to remove the blade, while at the same time Sumabrand was spreading his stance and wings beginning to glow, understanding that his partner was ready to do a battle with swords,"Without knowing it's meaning!" He slashed his sword in the air and pointed towards Tyrannitar,"Attack Sumabrand! Show them the epitome of your blade!"Sumabrand's crossed wings glowed and sharpened at the ends then he rushed across the sandstorm flooded field towards Tyrannitar. He stopped just before the monstrous pokemon and slashed from both sides. He may be a man with a sword, but he knows how to use it.

"It's not much fun if you have to make an opponent fall asleep to get a win...Scared your Perish Song won't finish the job first?!" Despite how vocal Aki was being with her dismay over the move, it seem like it didn't compare of Amelia's feelings as the woman requested she bury the Gengar and Albert into the ground. Who knew the French woman would be just as feisty?! Aki was about to retort when the knight -Aki still snorted at title- finally responded to her jab with a Steel Wing of his own.

She looked at her pokemon who looked back at her before stretching to stand upright and roaring. Showing her that it would take more than a swipe to knock him down. "I don't know...Javi...." she said with a smirk on her lips as she cracked her knuckles. "Your Empoleon seems more of a knight than you claim to be with that sword around you." Rolling her shoulders she took a look at her partner. "You said to bury the man and his pokemon....Why not have a little more fun and bury both of them?!" With her fist positioned to make a strike, Aki slammed her foot onto the ground. "Bang use Earthquake!"
tabThe Tyranitar roared as he stomped his feet into the ground below him. The vibrations of the movement caused to the earth the water and ghost pokemon to shake and crack underneath them. The ground split open as the vibration made chunks of the land shift upwards and down as Bang continued to roar in the midst of his fury. The pokemon snorted with his rampage was done.

Albert bowed at Amelia and gave her a wink with his good eye. He was quite happy that Gengar's Hypnosis hit the mark and seeing how angry yet composed Amelia looked was the icing on the cake. He wasn't a sadist, but he would be lying if he said that her reaction didn't intrigue him. Albert stood back up and shrugged at his battle partner who was still questioning his sanity (he wasn't the first), but there was a method to his madness. Javier decided to focus on Aki's Tyranitar which was a wise decision since Gardevour was currently taking a nap. Making a Pokemon fall asleep was very beneficial especially in a tag team battle since it momentarily removed a Pokemon from battling. Gardevour could wake up at any moment so it was for the best to damage Tyranitar while they had this opportunity. Empoleon charged at Tyranitar and used Steel Wing using his flippers like swords to slash at the rock Pokemon. Tyranitar had monstrous strength and defense, but the attack seemed to have done its share of serious damage. Unfortunately it wasn't nearly enough to take out the kaiju Pokemon and Tyranitar retaliated with a powerful earthquake!
"Wow," Albert watched as the battle field shook and the ground broke underneath their Pokemon's feet. Dust rose into the air from the Earthquake and Albert coughed a little as he brushed away the dust in the air. "That's very impressive my Fiore, but..." Albert grinned as his Gengar, which seemed to have disappeared from the battle field, emerged from underground with its massive grin present on his face. "My old friend's Levitate ability protects him from your impressive attack. Gengar stuck his tongue out at his Pokemon opponents before giggling and having a grand old time. Albert was happy to see his Pokemon enjoying himself, but he knew that Gengar had taken quite the damage from Surf and Rock Slide. Gengar were fast and strong Pokemon, but they had terrible defenses and he knew that his friend could not take more damage.
"I would love to make a grand finisher, but for this final turn we'll take it easy," Albert crossed his arms with a content smile on his face, "Gengar use Protect." The ghost Pokemon crossed his arms in front of him like an 'X' and a green force field appeared around his whole body. Currently he was invincible and would receive no damage, this was the best option for him right now. Albert turned to Javier and gave him a thumbs up, "the rest is up to you monsieur. You don't have to worry about my Gengar, let them have it." Antonio wondered if his partner would understand what he was trying to say and if he did then it would be very good for them, but if he didn't then it would not make too much of a difference. After all, his Perish Song would still be the grandest finale to his battle.
