The box had stayed at the Beaubelle apartment; it was too heavy to keep carting back and forth. The arm was pointedly not inside - the box did not have refrigeration and that seemed like a disaster waiting to happen. A horribly pungent disaster. He collected it, and Oliver, and Elliot, and they had wound their way to the court. Ollie had asked his brother to set up a meeting; Horace imagined Silk was inundated with people coming to her.

Court had, as apparently was usual, changed his clothing. He barely noticed, although the edition of half-gloves was interesting. "From what I remember," he said. "I met Silk over that way." He nodded his head. Oliver had been given the duty of carrying the cupcakes.

This was Elliot's first ever excursion to court and his eyes were wide as he drank it all in. It was surely quite fabulous, the beauty not lost on someone whose parents used to play in circles like this, and despite the fact he'd started wearing less and less designer clothing over the past couple years, he wasn't disappointed by their forced change of attire.

Adjusting his stark white gloves, he made a short, pleased sound under his breath.

"Lead the way then, darling," he told Horace as he followed, polished shoes clacking lightly against the floor. "I admit, I wasn't expecting anything so grand as this." The purple suit he wore was lined with ruffles anywhere that made sense and his hair was pulled back into a ponytail as it always was, but tighter and considerably kempt in comparison.

Oliver was slightly mortified, but only slightly. Court had a field day with his outfit; he had shorts with what wanted to be a skirt dripping off of the sides and the back, some sort of fancy crop top (if that was even possible to achieve), a lacy bolero jacket... hell, even his nails were painted in a light powder blue, his socks knee high with garters at the thigh.

"Gee Eli, you look like you fit right in." He looked at his roommate; Horace meanwhile looked just as silly as he did. What was with those gloves?

"I don't know my way around here at all, so yeah, lead on." He cleared his throat awkwardly, "Shiloh said he had Beel deliver a letter on our behalf, so hopefully that works out..."

Horace looked over both Elliot and Oliver and thanked the court profusely in his mind. The purple was gorgeous on Eli and that midriff on Ollie? Good s**t. By contrast, his outfit seemed fairly reserved: hunter green pants (sober, but quite tight) and a billowing shirt - except for the fact that the shirt was completely sheer. The court had also, funnily enough, given him suspenders. He wondered idly what the court would think of a suit patterned with pineapples.

He hummed as he walked. The court was opulent, sure, but he much preferred the sort of coziness that came from a home. Plus, there were times when the sheer decadence and... un-lived-in feel reminded him of Florida. He swallowed a sigh, shifting the box. Then they were there. The doors were much as he remembered and he was glad it wasn't some sort of Hogwarts, ******** your day up with moving staircases thing.

"Hi Noel, Noah. We - me, Elliot, and Oliver - set up a meeting with Silk, if she's free for us." He beamed up at them. "Do you like cupcakes?"

Noel and Noah looked down at the group of men. They were hulking mountains of possibly-masculine figures and they looked to each other. Then Noel shrugged, and Noah shrugged, and for the first time on screen at any point in this ******** game, one of them spoke.

"Sure," said Noel.

Noah nodded his agreement and tipped his mask back. Problematically, he was extremely hot. His cheekbones could cut not only diamond, they could cut it with a glance. He wasn't even sweating a little bit from standing in those smothering black robes. It was unfair as hell. "Silk's waiting for you," he said. "She's been pacing for like, an hour. Are you really bringing her the Lady's arm?"

The bodyguards were hulking and Oliver felt very very small for a moment, mostly because he was already the smallest one here, but also because he was surrounded by hot guys, and it was kind of unfair. He looked over at Horace when the question popped. "We still have the arm in our possession, but we kept it on our side for proper, er, storage..."

He still wasn't over the arm thing; the entire procedure was kind of fresh in his mind and he wasn't sure he'd ever forget the smell of blood again. Still, he held the cupcakes out for them to take; vanilla with orange buttercream and red velvet with ermine frosting, they could have their pick of the litter, he guessed. He went back to looking at Horace and Elliot to keep the sanctity of his eye's intact, but that wasn't really helping either so he settled for looking at the delectable cupcakes.

"It will come with us once the time for casting comes of course..." Along with the paper document, he assumed.

Fitting right in was a talent, though he only smiled in response to Oliver's verbal pokes. Eli could fit in anywhere if he tried hard enough. There were pros and cons to masking oneself so easily. Today, however, he seemed quite chipper and very much himself.

He couldn't help it if his companions' revealing outfits had him in a decent mood.

"Pleasure to meet you, Noel, Noah," he greeted. He would've said 'enjoy the cupcakes,' but he hadn't been the one to make them. That would've been unfair to Horace. He did, however, make a very notable noise in the back of his throat at the whole Noah-reveal. If he had Ollie and Horace's telepathy, he would've shamed Horace for neglecting to mention how attractive Silk's bodyguards apparently were.

Instead, he nodded along to Oliver's explanation and waited to be taken to her.

Horace blinked at the reveal. "Are the masks to make you more intimidating?" Because, honestly, the hotness was far more so. "Anyway, I made the cupcakes. I made pie last time, but I don't know if Silk and Felt shared." Oh man, if they'd have brought the arm, he could have made an armed and dangerous joke. Damn.

"Lemme know how they are?" For now, it was time to meet Silk. He did, however, hear Eli's odd noise. Thirsty? Horace was feeling positively jovial.

Noel pulled off his mask as well. He was equally disgustingly hot. It kinda looked like they might have been twin Adonises, or something. He shrugged, and took a cupcake. "We think it's funny when people imagine us as scary skeleton monsters," said Noel. "Was that what the one guy thought?"

"Yep," said Noah. "Spooky scary skeletons."

They were closer to slabs of meat than spooky scary skeletons. Though, like, their perfect bone structure was pretty obvious. Noah opened the door, and the two of them stayed where they were, eating their cupcakes and being just... too damn hot.

Silk was just beyond the doors... pacing, as advertised. She didn't seem to have noticed them.

Oliver blinked very slowly. Spooky... scary... skeletons. Right.

At least they seemed happy with the offerings. Further inside, it seemed Silk was not.

"Ah, Silk?" He felt bad disturbing her when she was so obviously anxious, but they did have an appointment. "Sorry to disturb you. We're here for our meeting." He looked towards Horace with the box. He was starting to think the remaining cupcakes wouldn't have much effect on the Pacing Silk.

For once, Eli answered Horace's mental ping out loud, but it was solely with a nudge and a whisper meant for him, "So what if I am?"

The only thing scary about these two, Eli thought, were those dangerous cheekbones. Oh, and maybe the muscles, but he got the feeling they'd be alright as long as they didn't overstep their bounds. Court may've been new to him, but Eli had significant social understanding on the other side. Close enough, it would work.

"Thank you, darlings," he said as they stepped inside to greet Silk. He'd never met her like the others had, so her obvious discomfort didn't seem so starkly out of place to him the way it might to them.

"Hmm. I suppose you'd be the best skeletons to find in a closet." Horace smiled at them, since he couldn't wave and moved through the door. "Libidos are for later," he whispered at Eli as he passed him.

"Hi, Silk. I've got a box for you."

"Thank you for sending a letter ahead," said Silk, stopping mid-step. She set her foot down on the carpeted floor. "So many of you have been utterly rude." She turned to look at the three men. "And what is in this box?"

Ollie could feel a bead of sweat roll down his head.

"The box, right, so--" he cleared his throat, "We've found a method of destruction in utilizing frequencies and resonance, like breaking a glass with sound only... on a molecular magical level." He patted the box in Horace's hands, the cupcakes shifting over to the crook of his arm, "That being said, there's... nothing in the box currently,
It's just an instrument. The document is still in my brothers possession, and the other half..."

    He looked over at Horace.

If there was anything to take away from Silk's prior pacing and Ollie's hesitation, it was that mentioning the whole arm thing might not be the best idea right now. Fair enough, Eli could take a hint.

"We're quite confident in our creation," he said to deflect and allow Horace time to decide what he wanted to say, if anything. "We tested it extensively—the box," oh, if only they'd given it an cool name like the in-sing-erator or something, "enhances the frequencies, but keeps them in check at the same time. We believe it's powerful enough to eliminate whatever it needs to when used correctly."
