Well it hadn't taken much discussion between the pair before they came to the same conclusion... A firelizard could be useful to both of them. Nacreoth led the way, flaring his wings as he slid around Flueth. Didn't get far did you? He chuckled with a thrummed greeting as he passed. Starelth got a pleasant trill as well as he spotted another of his clutchmates.

While Nacreoth made his social rounds, C'ai grabbed a bag and a broom from the headwoman and climbed into the stands. It seemed a lot of people had focused on the sands and flit eggs or not... Cai hated having people in the way of his work.

Well it had been a long shot that someone hadn't noticed one right up front... But worth a look anyways. Ja'line continued her sweeping step further in, picking up a couple bits of garbage along the way... Enough to make it look like she was helping at least.

Sanuyeth flopped heavily where she was. Till Jaline noticed she was content to nap right where she was.

No sooner has Cai started to sweep than he nudges something out from under one of the seats.



This egg is tiny, the shell is starting to harden, it is around a week old.

Unfortunately all Ja'line manages to find in this patch of sand is trash.

S'aren B-1 - Keeping egg

S'aren started picking up the egg shells, giving a small sigh. Well, so much for the safety of the hatching sands, it seems the tunnel snakes have been having a good time munching on the fire lizards eggs. She paused, gently brushing shells.
"Well aren't you lucky." She muttered, gently lifting the light blue shell.

Vespeth blew out her sides, great eyes rolling before sniffing around the area, searching for anything of interest or well, something she could eat.

[J'in and Flueth F-6]

Flueth gave a rumbling sigh as more people went by, was it so much for him to have a peaceful nap? He tiredly got up and moved a bit farther in before sinking back down in the warm hatching sand. He was out of the entrance, and if J'in wanted he could search.

J'in flushed slightly, the tips of his ear and across his cheek dusting lightly pink as C'ai and another rider went past them. 'Flueth... ' He stopped as the bronze finally got up and went a bit father before plopping down.

'Thank you.' He said finally and started to pick up any odds and ends in the area as Flueth dug a shallow warm wallow to nap in.

Apart from the remains of the nest there doesn't seem to be anything else of note in the area.

It seems someone's already been through here and cleaned most everything interesting away.

S'aren & Vespeth C-1

S'aren finished cleaning the remains of the nest and tucked the egg with the other before moving on to explore the rest of the ledge. "Find any snacks?" She questioned Vespeth as she picked up an odd shell piece.

Vespeth grumbled as she sniffed around the edges. She grumbled, tail swaying with her steps. She would find a tunnel snake and eat it, yes she would.

J'in glanced around the area. This area had mostly been cleared and there was people everywhere. He probably should move onward. He left Flueth to his nap, and headed farther into the sands, looking for things to clean or anything unusual to pick up.

At the far end of the ledge, in a rather precarious position sat something that shouldn't have really been there.



This egg is small, the shell is completely hard and the occupant can be heard inside, it will hatch in the next day or so.

S'aren snorted slightly at Vespeth's single mindedness. It wouldn't be the first time the green had a one track mind. She continued onward, reaching the far edge and sat down and reached over, rescuing a small blue egg.

"Well, that wasn't any place for you to be," She mused. S'aren could hear the claws scrambling around and decided to turn this one in to Shi'shi. She didn't need more then one hatching right away. "Now where is Shi'shi?"

As J'in moves across the sand he'll see an odd number of twigs poking out of the sand. Further investigation will reveal something.



This egg is medium sized, the shell is completely hardened, there are a few days left until it hatches.

[Sh'shi in square F4 - not searching]

Well, while she was here she might as well assist. She had some time to spare, and she could hardly tell the weyrlings that they should help and then not help herself. Still something told her that digging around on her hands and knees wasn't going to be the best plan. As she walked across the sand Sh'shi drove her cane into the sand, using the stick to stir anything that shouldn't be there to the top and then fishing it out and deftly stuffing it into the bag.

As she went she passed by a greenrider. The older woman had been most preoccupied with the weyrlings the past month, but the younger woman was familiar. Not a Fort native, Sh'shi hadn't trained her, but still familiar. Ah! That was it, she was one of the new wingseconds. For V'ko. Ja-something. It was a bad thing really, that she'd not taken the time to learn all the riders names. It was strange for her, having so many ranking riders in the Weyr that she hadn't known as teenagers. That hadn't been the case in several decades. She reached out to Fiskenerath to remind her to make a point of looking over the new wing assignments tonight to try and learn it all.

J'in paused, taking in the twigs and knelt in the sands, slowly extracting the twigs from the sands. He brushed the grains away, meticulously before an egg appeared. It was of good size and with Quill... perhaps it might be best to sell it.

He put the egg into his hip pouch and made sure to collect the rest of the trash around. Though, really, what had the fire lizards been doing with all these twigs.

S'aren spotted the weryleader and grinned. "There we go! Come on Vesp, lets go see Sh'shi and then search some more."

Vespeth grunted, deciding the ledge was a lost cost. There was nothing here and let her rider clamber on before gliding over to the Weyrleader.

'Yes. Soo grumpy.' S'aren landed and bounced over to Sh'shi. "Here we go! Got you something," she chimed and held out the small blue egg. "Little survivor here, seems the ledges are become homes to tunnel snakes."

Not very talkative today. Well no matter, it wasn't all that surprising with the bronze and Nacreoth took no offense to the snub... Today at least.

"Tch." C'ai huffed. It looked like even the drudges had shirked their duties in the stands... It was a mess! C'ai aggressively stuck the broom under a seat and froze in surprise as something immediately came skittering out...

Well that had been easy. He gently picked the small egg up- ah! soft!- and tucked it under the hem of his shirt where it was tucked into his pants. He had no safer place to put it and so moved carefully as he continued to sweep down the aisle.

Still nothing... Ja'line moved around the sands with her eyes on the ground.
