[PRP] missed (shun & jeremiah)

Jeremiah, of course, answered the phone almost immediately. Hearing Shun say 'we need to talk' however triggered something of a gut reaction in him. One that somewhat implied the world was possibly ending all over again.

"Do you want me to meet you somewhere then?" he asked, phone perched on his shoulder. "Just tell me where as I'd rather not discuss anything serious over the phone." Not if it was related to other ashdown, as he assumed it was.

"I am currently at my apartment. It should be suitable," Shun replied.

Jeremiah paused before he spoke again. "With your permission, I can be there right now. To come straight to your apartment."

"Come right over."

"Shun, pretend that I am vampire for a moment and state that I have permission."

Jeremiah couldn't see it, but Shun had an even flatter expression than usual at that.

"Jeremiah Mercer, I give you permission to enter my apartment," he deadpanned.

As it turned out, Jeremiah got to see that expression.

Mostly because he was there in Shun's apartment, phone pinned between his ear and shoulder before he dropped it and hung up. "When one becomes a Noble, one gains power," he said conversationally, "and it just so happens that mine allows me to be anywhere I've been before. The caveat is that if it's a personal residence or similar, I need permission to appear within."

It's rude to do so went by unspoken.

That was quick.

Shun stared at Jeremiah, then hung up his phone.

"That explains a few things," he nodded, "Go ahead and have a seat. I need to make some tea. Would you like some?"

"Which things are those?" he asked, before taking a seat. Jeremiah's fingers wiggled without thought towards Shun's pet rat as he followed the young detective's movements.

"I'll never turn down a cup of tea, so thank you."

"I have seen you teleport around. Considerable distances."

Like being teleported straight to the hospital in January.

Kaji perked up as Jeremiah wiggled his fingers at her. Her nose twitched while she regarded him curiously. Though her cage door was open at the moment, she remained in her den for the time being.

In the meantime, Shun got the tea started up.

"I've not tested my limitations but it does allow me instant access to other ashdown." Which was why he had, last time they had met there, he had offered. "I wasn't able to take someone with me initially but, as I've been told, we coming into our powers as Nobles."

Jeremiah still was not sure where the line would stop, if there was one.

"So what occurred that you needed to speak with me immediately?"

Shun drew in a breath, trying to think of where he should begin.

"That old nokia phone from the void rang. The caller wanted me to look for Melany, who had apparently vanished."

He was coming back with two cups of tea now. Though, he didn't offer Jeremiah his yet, just in case he might drop it as he continued to give a run down of what had just happened.

"The caller was Minerva Mercer, she got the number from 'Jeremiah' and then went to go eat dinner with this Jerry after the call was done."

Jeremiah was quiet.

Very quiet.

He leaned forward and gestured for the cup of tea.

Too bad there was no alcohol because he was not expecting this and, for once, there was a look of surprise that shifted into something that looked far more complicated.

Shun handed the tea over. He just seated himself afterwards, remaining silent for the time being to let Jeremiah some time to take in what he had just said.

Unfortunately, he didn't really keep any alcohol around the apartment.

The cup was still steaming, at least until Jeremiah's finger tapped the side of it and he cooled it some. He took one sip, then another, and closed his eyes briefly to gather himself. It was not, in all honesty, a conversation he expected to be having.

"So far as I am aware, Melany is not missing and-" he broke off before he continued on. "You must have been speaking to someone who is not from here. If you spoke to a Minerva Mercer who was able to speak.

"... and when I say here, I mean this reality. Though I could be wrong."
