It was the weekend, which meant there was no classes to attend. Because she was a studious one who was working towards leading an entire pack of hellhounds after she graduated, she was striving to be very good at it. Not that she wasn't already. It also meant her brother's boilfriend was at his house and she was explicit told to "Do not come over on weekends." Which was suspicious. Fine, whatever, her brother can have his bonding time with his boilfriend, she can find something else to butt into.
Exiting the lockerroom, the ghoul - in a sports top and shorts - tying up her long, curled hair into a neat braid to get it out of her face. Brenna and Uru were quite a lot alike; studious and calculating, but also physically fit despite their appearances. Uru was the tall, hulking individual but not many knew he knew almost everything about any subject he was interested in. Brenna was the small, petite ghoul but only two know that the scars her brother had were from her.
The demon hellhound was a tad frustrated today. She wasn't able to nose into her brother's life and his issues (which he clearly had a lot of), so that meant dealing with her own (which was of equal quantity). And that is something she typically avoided. So, it was time for a distraction under the guise of 'working out'.

He had heard of some sort of "tournament" going on, and would have shown interest if it actually involved exchanging blows. However, for some jack-forsaken reason, it was not, and to add insult to injury, not only was it a useless paper game, but was based off a traditional human game that human scarelings seemed to indulge in.
Who the jack actively ENJOYED busting their brains over something so mundane?? Normally he didn't bother caring about such a thing, but the fact that they were monopolizing the jacking gymnasium meant the likelihood of him finding someone who wanted to use their fists instead of their brains to solve conflicts were slim to none.
Jasper huffed irritably, ready to call it quits and head to the creeptaria instead, when a ghoul walked in. Normally he didn't show much interest in them as they were often overly chatty and annoying, but the fact that she was dressed in workout clothes intrigued him.
Sporting his trademark grin, he sidled up to the ghoul. "Didn't think a pretty little thing like you would be interested in keeping fit, though I suppose your hard work HAS paid off..."
Phiferwolf He's going to get his a** kicked lmao

[A.V.] great, now you're making her self-conscious!
A sharp inhale informed her of an approaching presence. The ambience in the gymnasium was distracting and the sense not as reliable. Her honey colored eyes glanced over her shoulder, her braid falling from her shoulders as she turned to the boil that neared. The boil was physically typical of a first year student. She noted the long tail he had that was unlike most she would find on land. He must be one that was aligned with water given the fins and such. Yellow eyes and gray-silver hair around a similarly pale face. Unlike the rest of his attire, his shirt and shoes were vibrant. She raised a perfectly manicured brow before smoothing into a smile. “This pretty thing supposes your hard work hasn’t,” She countered with a purposeful up-down. The ghoul took steps away from the … monster? Demon? Ghost? … fish boil toward where the pedal-wheel-machines were. However, she stopped as she noticed that they were all taken. So were all the mats where she could stretch out prior to actually working out. Jack, this is actually one of the slower times based off of what her brother suggested. Pretty thing he calls me. A compliment, sure, but what was that line about keeping fit? Am I not fit? Brenna glanced down to see herself. She was 5 foot 2, but she was fit! She had a nice stomach and arms and legs and – sure she was a little flat chested, but that wasn’t a criteria for being fit! The ghoul huffed as she reached her hands above her head, stretching in place. “No mats, no pedals, that’s fine. I’ll do it right here.”

Jasper laughed, an eerie sound echoing in the gymnasium "If you're calling me lazy, I suppose that's not... entirely untrue." He was oddly in a good mood, perhaps because he finally found someone who he could probably coax into a fight. It wasn't hard to get under creeple's skin, and it seemed the ghoul was already wary of him.
He had noted the once-over, smirking slightly at the fact that she was checking HIM out, and followed her gaze to the machines. Her comment may have not been for him, not was it meant to be misinterpreted, but this was Jasper. He LIVED for goading others on, and embarrassing them.
"Oh? How bold of you. We've only just met and you want to get right down to business in such an open area? I've misjudged you, aha~"

She would believe it. When it came to boils, she compared them to the only boil in her life that actually matter - excluding his boilfriend because he's the exception to most anything. On the scale of Gnome to her brother, this one was closer to the Gnome on a good day. She rolled her eyes as she hooked her arm into a stretch.
She totally has had the talk. Her brother had to explain it and it was quite clear. The ghoul wasn't oblivious. Typically, she would be hanging all over her friends and laughing. However, today she was having a bad day. Fine, if the boil wanted to play, she can play along.
"We're known to be rather shameless - my brother and I. An open area is fine. An audience makes it better." She cooed over her shoulder, her voice saccharine and smooth. Her honey eyes winked with a smirk. "You have certainly misjudged me - oh, sweetie, you haven't the slightest of clues. What can a guppy like you do for a hellhound like me?"

"Me? Educated by someone like you? That is laughable - no, hysterical to even the most insane-addled fool." Her smile faded and her brows furrowed, her ears forward. She felt the aura wash over her. It was like her brother's - an intimidation tactic, a way to sway the fight into his favor. She was not going to have any of that. Well, as best that she can muster.
She smirked at his question. No she has never met a grudge, she's never met anyone like this. Not that she was able to growing up. Perhaps now that she was in school, perhaps, but she didn't care to seek one out.
"Now what was it that my brother used to say?..." She mused, her fingers moving in subtle intricate motions, slowly blue emanated from them. "Oh yes." her attention directly onto him. "Thick hide and heavy layers will not save you, when I freeze you from the inside out!"

While he couldn't remember why he had ended up at the school, and had decided to stay only because he had nowhere else to go/wanted to kill time, he supposed it was worth it. Brains AND brawn, hmm... Perhaps this encounter would be worthwhile.
When she mentioned "brother" though, his eyes widened slightly. Ah, the little sister archetype. How cute. He couldn't shake the feeling that he was... forgetting something though. Brother...
Huh. Freeze him from the inside out? Jasper tilted his head. Were hellhounds not of fire affinity? How curious.
He didn't have long to ponder as she struck, backing up as she got a good strike in. "Heh, nice hit," he mused, rubbing his cheek. Oh, this would be worthwhile indeed~ He matched the strike with one of his own, opting for claws instead of opened palm.

There was something about her that agitated him. He wasn't sure why but... It was ok for ghouls to be weak. It was ok for them to cry. And she... she wasn't alone. She had her brother as she had mentioned, and he was sure there was more. A cute, feisty ghoul like her could never be truly alone, but he...
He grit his teeth as she lashed out, Speed may have been on his side, but he hailed from the sea, and on land... Arms were raised to try and deflect the flames, and he winced as he felt them lick at his skin. His eyes flickered, the flame bringing back a past memory.
"Brother..." "Brother, run! Please save yourself!"
"Ngh.." He shook his head. No, it didn't matter anymore. All he needed to focus on was putting this ghoul in her place.

She has sparred with her brother numerous times growing up. Pitted against one another, but for the betterment of the male of the family - the heir. She was the only one capable to do so and she was sure their mother got some enjoyment out of seeing her children fight. It was all for the betterment of the pack - the heir. Until that heir was replaced, but it was a simple fix. She was training along side him after all. It had been a long time since the pair of them fought again. When they spoke about it in jest, she would initially be all for it until she looked at the boil's face. Over his left eye a subtle scar, a scar she had left him when she was younger. A scar she had made when she was pushed, pressured, ordered to hurt him.
She felt guilty about it.
The hellhound ghoul was a safe distance from the boil, her hands raised defensively, her tail flicking behind her. She watched her opponent .... falter?
"Come on, if you're not gonna get your head in this, then you should just turn around and leave."
Quote: HP: 22/30 Atk [2d6-6]: 0 Special Attack: (3d8) Frozen Coronal (The Charge) - Spreads an outward wave of cold-fire a short distance as she 'disengages' (hops back). It is more of a diversion tactic, but it could certainly hurt if the flames hit.
