I have been taking care of Buddie, a light blue and white female parakeet, with my partner, Jim, while Jim's daughter, Marsha, recovers from an illness, that had put her in the hospital. We are getting quite attached to her, she is quite a sweet, delightful bird.
Note: I do not own a kitty right now, so we can give Buddie a lot of attention, without the danger of any feline curiosity.

EDIT: We call her Sweetheart, now, and she is definitely our precious little girl. She loves doing special parakeet gymnastics on her swing, and chirps back in response when we talk to her. She has come a long way with her trust with us, and certainly has cemented her spot as a favorite family pet. heart |
