Because the ruined city is surrounded by waterfalls and lush vegetation, people tend to avoid this island all together allowing the Minks to live in peace in their own society

It was a calm and peaceful place, he knew that without a doubt that was exactly how it was from his simple surveillance of the place over the past fourteen years. He had appeared in a whirl of water choking for air and dying from lack of oxygen when he had washed ashore. He had been left on the sand while minkman had apparently went back and forth to see whether he had died yet, but he was much more resilient than that for all apperances of the single horn and the lack of anything more than that and a tail to prove his species. When his eyes had opened and he'd been hungry the minkman had sneered at him, calling him a filthy halfblood of a minkman, though he had definitely not been, but dragons were so rare that they lost most of their shape in him after so many other mixes of other mammal minkman. Deep ocean blue eyes narrowed in disgust as he stood a top one of the many mountains while glaring out at the majority of the village. Images of how he had to live stealing scraps and making a living off of thievery passed before his closed lids, being beaten to all hell for every scrap he managed to take and scarf down before he got caught. Throwing it all up as the owners of the different stalls reacted violently to him even living, he growled as his sharp fanged teeth would easily show in anger from his pulled back lips. A sharp tail whipped back and forth as he looked down at the ragged clothes he bore. He was sick of it all. Sick of being worthless in the eyes of others and sick of being kicked around. Today. Today he would make them pay.

Cyril's fingers moved up and touched the pointed horn on his head as he would gather his anger and pain to turn it into the courage he needed to act. His feet had hard toe nails that pointed out and acted similar to piercing weapons especially when he climbed the rock, he used them to create foot holds while his tough clawed fingers dug into the rock to help him cling. He'd move to jump down the rocks that scaled about the waterfall he'd been standing near, his movements quick as he descended on the town and went straight for the clothing shop, "Hello w- oh it's you." the shop keep sounded pleased until he'd opened his eyes and saw who it was, "You don't have any money, get out half breed." he growled his tail swishing as his ears went back in clear anger. Cyril glared at him and within a few moments bounded forward his clawed feet digging slight grooves as he did a mad dash forward and tackled the man to the ground. He cried out but Cyril immediately drug his sharp nails across his throat and spilled blood upon the shop floor within a few moments, something a kin to joy filled him as well as a sort of frenzy at the sight and smell. Cyril stood up his pointed ears caught the sound of faint footsteps, he shifted quickly to get the door and close it before turning the blinds and blowing out the lanterns. He moved quickly to the safe and emptied the contents into his bag as he heard a few knocks on the door. He didn't respond as he would move into the backroom and see something that looked highly expensive, clothes tailored for a warrior with beautiful blue and black hues. His eyes widened briefly as he would stare at the clothing and within seconds pulled it off the mannequin and stuffed it in his bag, "Quartz?" a voice called as the door squeaked. Cyril raised his nose to the air and took a deep breath, he immediately caught the whiff of cat and darted out. It was the 'security' that they had here on the island and he would be able to tell that Quartz had been killed, well probably, Cyril hadn't seen enough blood spill out to say he nicked an artery.

Cyril crept towards the back door, "Quartz!" the cat man yelled as loud thumps sounded and he had run to the man prone on the floor, Cyril opened the door as he thumped down, "It's ok you'll live old man!" the cat stated happily. He was sure he might have damaged the canine's throat to prevent him from speaking, but he knew they would figure out it was him quickly. The simple smell of him would alert the townspeople after the cat man had ensured that Quartz was safe. The white haired dragon hurried out and immediately headed to the docks not bothering to check if he was being followed, by the simple fact no other lights had been lit and the cold light of the moon continued to shine down on the area he assumed he got away with it. Without further thought he would jump into a lone boat and slap the clothes down before he'd grab the oars and quickly row away, the next closest island wasn't far, he could procure provisions there.

Syrup begun the first day of his new life mission walking around the streets of Capital Fang, surrounded by his fellow minks who colonized an island in the blues instead of living on Zou. This place was awesome all around and whole new experience with all the new minks he got to meet and get to know and the new foods and plants and life around, the only issue really being it was taking some time to get used to the lower atmosphere compared to the height of being on Zou so far above sea level and made it slightly harder to exert himself properly. Despite that, this was something he was coping with just fine for the time being. So for now, he was just going to rest on the beach on the soft sand, yet another thing he was learning about, and relax just stretching out his arms over his head then resting them behind his head and took a long drawn out breath. ”Who would have thought the lands of the lesser minks would be so amazing? I can hardly wait to get out into the world and see more things like this and make even more friends. Like you.” He turned his head to the side to look at a carb walking past and smiled at it and it stopped to look at him for a moment and then kept walking off to the side ignoring him. ”Don’t be shy. I’ll be here if you want to hang later.” With a smile on his face, he closed his eyes and was about to drift off to take a nap when the sound of something running on the water caught his attention and he turned his head while still lying down to look out to the waters off the coast to see what it was. ”A boat? But, its going so fast. What is that? What is that~?” Stars sparkled around his eyes as he wondered what kind of modern hairless mink marvel this could be. The object moving across the water caught his attention since it was shaped like a boat but it was moving way too fast on the water to be a regular boat and in fact it was a special type of ship that was using a jet dial propulsion system to move along the water faster. It was very interesting all and all but Syrup was also enjoying his resting time way too much to think too hard about what this was all about and after a few seconds of looking out to the ship with great zealotry, he looked back up to the clear sky and closed his eyes. ”I’ll ask some friends later if they know what it is.” The ship moving along the water in the distance was actually a carrier ship of special design made only for transporting special cargo and the cargo it was transporting now was more important than anything else. There were only three men riding on the ship consisting of a pilot, a guard, and a man carrying a silver briefcase that was cuffed to his arm. Syrup had dozed off completely by now ignoring the sound of the custom jet ship along the water and no one on the ship could neither see nor hear the black fishman coming up from behind them on the top of the water swimming like a torpedo. They were catching up quickly enough so they must have been a shark or mermaid fishman as they came up behind the main boat and then maintained a steady speed behind the ship. There was a strong explosion of water as the fishman or mermaid sprang from just under the surface of the water onto the back of the ship and a fishman stood on the rear with blue hair that didn’t look entirely shark, something different about him but it couldn’t be placed right now, and he leaned forward looking at the men on the boat. Without missing a beat, the fishman jumped from the back of their ship to the center of the deck. His hard landing at that speed shook their ship a bit and they all looked back to the fishman with blue hair now on their boat and wondered where he came from at first but knew whatever reason he was there, couldn’t be good. “What the…?” The pilot stammered wondering what exactly was happening and the shark fishman with blue hair took off his sunglasses with a smirk on his face. “Yo.” In a quick panic to seeing this shark fishman come up to them suddenly at such a speed, the guard sitting as a passenger on the ship quickly drew out a pistol and took two shots at the chest of the fish man making the man jerk backwards with the force of the shots and look like he was going to fly back and fall of the side of the ship but while leaning back with the force of the shots, he stopped himself and then brought his upper body back around and looked back to the guard that just shot him and the surprised look on his face that he wasn’t dead. The man looked down to his chest where the shots hit and there were two smoldering holes in his chest where the bullets hit him, clearly a dead on mark hit and then he looked back to the guard and nodded to him. “You’re a pretty good shot.” Without missing another beat, the fishman reached out and grabbed the arm of the guard and twisted his wrist to make him drop the pistol he was holding and then pulled him arm over to himself and when the man’s motions followed after that action, he threw his elbow into the guards face hard then reached over the stunned guard to the other man holding the case and quickly wrapped his hand around that man's neck, squeezing tightly and snapping his neck moments after grabbing it.

The pilot was trying to maintain control of the speeding vessel while all of this was going on and looking for his own firearm all the while so the ship was rocking and weaving from left to right the whole while while this was happening. After he took out the two passengers, the fishman took the case with a sly smirk on his face and sat it on the lap of the dead guard and unlatched the sides of the silver case to unlock it and opened it up revealing an assortment of syringes of varying shades of colors and they looked to contain a metallic looking liquid. Taking a second to look over them all, the man then pulled one of the syringes out of the case and looked the silver liquid over with a smile on his face and the pilot looked back to see what was happening now just as the man grasped the syringe of silver liquid in his hand and held it up near his face. “This is the one.” The man stated before reaching across his body to his other arm and stabbing the needle onto his shoulder then pressing in the plunger of the syringe. There was a quick and foreboding pulse of his body that deterred the pilot form looking for a moment and after it stopped, the fishman with blue hair now had white hair and yellow glowing eyes. “It’s him...” The pilot said now realizing who this fishman was that took over their vessel and the man that was holding the case strapped to his arm quickly came to among all the commotion and grunted through the pain and bleeding holding up a switch of some sort. Without saying another word or giving the fishman an opportunity to counter, he pressed the switch which set off a last resort chain reaction in the ship causing it to self destruct in a massive explosion off the coast of the island. The resulting shockwave woke Syrup up suddenly and sent him flying back into the nearby bushes like a doll in the wind. ”Whaaa~!” He crash landed behind a second row of bushes with his head on the ground and his feet in the air dazed from the shockwave momentarily. From the explosion, the mysterious fishman came flying from the core of the explosion at sea over to the coast near where Syrup was resting before along with two of the other strange syringes that were on the ship as well, scattering them from the explosion. Almost immediately after landing back on the beach, he was greeted by four other people who were all wearing different colors but all had the same symbol marked on their bodies somewhere that looked like a jolly roger but with a bloody knife running through it and shockingly, not all fishmen. The man wearing gray threw his fist to the air and yelled out aloud. “Hot damn! That was awesome! Heheheh!” Being over eager about the massive explosion their ally caused. Next to him was a fox minkman wearing yellow who was standing in a feminine pose and twerked his head with a small smile. “Fishy-chan went and finished the first part without us again. So cool he is.” And reached over and gave the man in gray a cute hug around the waist. The man in gray stopped his cheering for the explosion and looked to the other mink hugging him for a moment with a bewildered look on his face before throwing his arm to the side and pushing the mink off of him. “Idiot! As awesome as that was and all, Gekki got his special sauce, but what about all of our Devil Rush!?” He glared to Gekki along with the others knowing he had a point now and all wondering what would happen now. Gekki snapped his fingers and pointed town at the briefcase resting next to his feet full of most of the remaining syringes. “It poses no problem. You all will receive your rewards soon enough.” The mink in yellow put his hand on his hip and jerked to the other side with a bit of an attitude from not understanding what he meant by that immediately. “Eh? What’s that supposed to mean?” A scoff from his side brought attention over to an attractive long leg woman wearing all red and a miniskirt. “He means that we should wait for a while. God. What an idiot.” And next to her, the last member of their crew on the beach, was a longarm man wearing all blue military clothes and adjusting the settings on his pocket watch for some reason then spoke in a calm and cold tone. “The game has begun.” With that last one, they all turned back to the island and started to walk off down the coast towards a ship that was coasted on the beach in the distance.

Syrup awoke hours later in a daze with the sun starting to set on the day. He rubbed the back of his head, feeling around for a bump or any blood but he was clean, and got up out of the bushes and looked around for a moment wondering what happened exactly with a cocked eyebrow. ”Eh? Why was I in those bushes again? Lets see here. I was resting, there was a crab, then a really fast ship, and an explosion. Hmm, Oh!” His eyes got wide and he lowered his fist into an open palm in realization. ”The crab must have attacked that fast ship with its phychic powers and caused it to explode. That sounds about right.” He nodded to himself and left it as such as he walked back to the main village on Capital Fang only to arrive to a shocking sight of about six huts destroyed and a couple of minks lying on the ground covered in blood and injuries. ”Wha- Help!” Syrup called out as he rushed over to the injured minks and dropped to his knees next to the squirrel mink that seemed to be the most injured out of them all. He slipped his hand under her head and helped her sit up a bit. ”Stay with me. What happened here? There’s no full moon so it couldn’t have been ‘that’. It looks like pirates attacked.” The squirrel mink struggled to take a breath and looked up to Syrup. “It… monsters.” Was all she managed to say before passing out in his arms and he looked back around seeing a group of minks approaching the area. ”Over here! They need medical attention!” He let the medics in route take all the injured away and stood in the midst of the aftermath looking around at all the damage and simply wondering who was the cause of all this. Off in the shadows of a alleyway between two buildings stood two figures in the dark that were glaring at Syrup in silence and then both faded into the shadows.

Some time has passed since the last war has commenced between the Hattori and Lothbroks. Within the territory of Capital Fang, there lies the Hattori clan, slowly building themselves back together. Their ranks have fallen some, but so have the Lothbroks. Word from Crow’s sect, the Lion’s Den, have information stating that the Lothbroks are now getting ready for another battle. They have been taking outside territory, to gain more power to launch another attack on Capital Fang.

Crow would be crouched over in a tree in a forest within Capital Fang, watching the wretched flies fly by. “So just because you bastards think you have wings, you think you can best me?! Crow would attempt to catch the flies the flies with his bare hands. Waving his hands ever so quickly, Crow would grasp the flies by both of their wings, dangling them between his fingers. ”You’re not so quick, are you flies?”

He would be caught fiddling with the flies as his three Thorns would approach. “Splinter Crow, we have dire news. The Lothbrok clan has claimed yet another territory. Word has to be sent to the Grand Master to fortify troops in the south.” Crow would release the flies and his face would form into a grimace. ”I see they are making their moves and attempting to hit us hard.” He would prepare to dash towards the Grand Master’s quarters, motioning for his Thorns to join him with their report.

Grand Master Kaide would stand there with her legs crossed, drinking tea to relieve herself of the stress during these dire times. Crow would burst into the room with his thorns following closely behind. “Splinter, you know it is rude to barge into the Grand Master’s quarters?” She would say this while stirring some more sugar into her tea. Crow would catch his breath and assume a crouching position to kneel before his Grand Master, his arm drawn across his chest and his head bent down. ”Grand Master Kaide, I do apologize for the unexpected entrance. I just received a report from my Thorns here that the Lothbrok have just acquired some land in the South. They are attempting to expand their numbers far beyond what they attacked us with the first time.”

The Grand Master would suddenly stop stirring the sugar in her tea. The ambient air about the room would shift into a much darker mood. ”We have an alliance with the Shi’Tar Clan in the South. If the Lothbrok have decided to attack them, then they are attempting to loosen our numbers. She would pause a moment, rising from her sitting position and walking towards a window to gaze outside. “Crow, we cannot lose our allies in the South. You had much to do with the last battle, and you have prowess and strategy. I am entrusting you with helping to defend the Shi’Tar clan from the Lothbrok, and search for allies to aid in our cause. I cannot stress how important this is. This needs to be a covert mission, so I need you to do this one alone Crow.”

Crow would tighten his stance a bit, and say, ”Understood.”, before moving towards his Thorns. ”You all will be fine. You are to report to the Grand Master and she will give you direction on who to report to for the time being. For now, I must go.” Crow would leave Capital Fang towards the port to leave for an area in the South Blue controlled by the Shi’Tar.
