__________ ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Radiant Dawn uses a stat system that sets a guideline for what characters are capable of outside of their techniques. When performing certain tasks, a character receives points that can be used to purchase techniques and/or increase their stat fields. All individual stats cap at 1000 and you can only have a max of 3000 total stat points (TSP) including the 30 you start with. Your points are yours to do with as you wish, so have fun and try different combinations!

Characters start with 30 stat points, which can be used to jump-start the six stat fields. Gaining further stat points is explained below. When to spend said points, you must make an update.

    Stats
    ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

        Primary Stats

There are five stats that you are directly able to pour your hard earned points into to make yourself stronger.

[ Strength ] :: Governs all physical constraints of the body and determines how powerful your air physically. Depending on the situation one can even create air waves and use some variations of Fishman Karate.

[ Speed ] :: Determines how agile your character's movements are as well as their attacks. All characters generally move at the same rate unless a movement technique is specifically used. (Please see Dormant Movement below for further details).

[ Prowess ] :: Governs all offensive techniques that are considered more mystical in nature such as Devil Fruit abilities, some variations of Fishman Karate, and projectiles that are not physical in nature.

[ Defense ] :: This stat decides the strength of your defensive techniques as well as your defensive potential when defending against attacks. You may block attacks without using an actual technique, but your method must make complete sense as to why damage is being mitigated and may be subject to moderator discretion if need be. Elemental damage may ignore your defense even with a technique depending on your method of protection.

[ Stamina ] :: Stamina is the resource consumed when using techniques and abilities. Every point in this stat adds an additional 1 point to your Energy and ignores the cap.

[ Vitality ] :: This stat governs additional health. Every point in this stat is another 2 points to your overall health.

        Secondary Stats

There are also a few hidden stats on each character which are determined by the characters experience and reaching certain benchmarks. These stats cannot have points added to them.

[ Health ] :: This is your health pool [HP]. It is determined by the value of your character's over stat points; increase at certain benchmarks. A character starts with 150 HP and gains another +10 HP for every 6 stat points they gain. Health is reduced when taking damage and when HP reaches 0 you are unable to continue fighting or rendered unconscious. Your HP returns once out of combat.

[ Spirit ] :: The overall will and spiritual strength of an individual. This stat serves to determine how often and how powerful ones Haki is. This stat starts at 0 and increases by +2 every 6 stat points gained.

[ Energy ] :: Energy is your resource for technique usage and drains faster based on how many techniques you use and how often you use them. A character starts with 100 Energy and gains another +10 Energy for every 6 stat points they gain and caps at 600. It refills when out of combat.

    Caste System
    ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

        The Breakdown

In the world of One Piece, it's no surprise that feats of superhuman strength, speed, endurance, and the like are common place. People can take magma fists to their chests and continue moving with some form of normality. There are some Devil Fruits that provide a person to go far beyond what's usually considered logical such as becoming as hot as the sun. However, it is also possible for people to make abilities in order to punch said sun. While there's almost nothing out of the realm of possibilities, there are some restrictions and guidelines provided to help brings these works of wonder into a proper guild setting. The two areas in which characters are often most influenced by are Strength & Speed. These are the most broad areas in terms of capabilities and comparisons so we've placed them in their own Caste systems to help govern them. these provide players with an idea as to what they can do based on the statistical benchmark that their character has reached.

        Dormant Movement

While the [ Speed ] stat is still something that you can put your points into, it works a little bit differently than the other stats. Unlike active stats [ Speed ] is considered inactive or [ Dormant ] unless a movement technique is specifically used. This means, that if no technique is used everyone moves at the same rate of speed regardless of how many points they've thrown into the stat itself. However, this sleeper stat does allow for one to react for with their speed without the use of a technique; but only for the sake of dodging and whatnot and only for that brief instance. It essentially notes how perceptive one is to their surroundings and their enemy so that they may react.

Ex: Player 1 uses a movement technique to move "activate" their 500 Speed for one turn. Player 2 has 500 Speed but does NOT activate a movement technique, however, they are still able to react properly to an attack because they can still perceive what's happening around them.

This more or less allows everyone to be on the same level playing field. However there are still reaction protocols that one must adhere to when taking actual gaps in between speed into account. This is further detailed below.

        Reaction Protocols

Whoa there, just because you're a little quicker than someone doesn't mean you're untouchable! Although speed has been made so it's only active through the use of movement techniques, you can be knocked down a peg or two if you get cocky. Individuals are still able to react to your movements after all without the use of an ability. Essentially, everyone moves at the same speed, however, the more [ Speed ] you have over someone, the more relevant your difference in speed becomes when you activate your movement ability.

[ At Least 250 Above ] :: Reacting is mildly difficult. You can still see them coming well enough to guard against their attacks but you would have minor trouble evading. You'd have to time your dodge correctly. They aren't too high above you in terms of speed but they can give you a hard time if you aren't careful.

[ At Least 500 Above ] :: Reacting is moderately difficult. You can probably manage to throw up your guard just in time to defend yourself but you'll inevitably have your defenses breached if they move around enough to creep into your blind spot. You could probably mount a perfectly timed evasive action if you can read them well enough, but only if it's done correctly.

[ At Least 750 Above ] :: You're completely outclassed. Your eyes are hardly quick enough to keep up with their movements, if at all. They're essentially a blur to you, but you may be able to get a hit or two in if you're lucky. However, this gap is extremely rare to see.

        Strength Caste

While you're able to put points into your Strength stat, thus growing it, what you're able to do in physically is still broken up into tiers to help regulating when someone is able to overpower you and vice-versa. It also determines what you can lift and how much you can lift.

[ 1 to 250 ] :: Your strength is considered [ Mighty ]. You are capable of lifting large boulders and chunks of earth, people, lone man boats, trees, and objects that weigh a little over ten tons.

[ 251 to 500 ] :: Your strength is considered [ Herculean ]. You are capable of lifting much larger ships, small buildings and homes, and objects that weigh around fifty tons

[ 501 to 750 ] :: Your strength is considered [ Divine ]. You are capable of lifting Galleon ships with relative ease, uproot large homes, and objects that weight around one hundred tons.

Earning Money

Beli is the form of currency in the One Piece World. Beli can be earned from doing various, money-earning activities around the Blues, and as well as many other locations. Almost every single role play sub forum has its own "money-maker," including explaining how to do it where you actually roll. Fishing, Hunting, Bug Catching, and Salvaging are just a few ways to earn currency. You may do one of all the activities available once a day (24 hours real time), provided you have the required items. You must sail to that location and post in the required thread. Other methods include taking in pirates and collecting their bounty, winning fights and stealing Beli from others, and exclusive to the Marines the Mission System, along with Pirates ability to Raid areas for more beli too. For every [ 1 ] word you can exchange it for [ 10 ] Beli.

Why do I need Beli, you ask? It's simple. Like a RPG, this guild sells items in exchange for this Beli. These activities are not a requirement, although they can be useful.
All new characters start with 20,000 Beli, a Lone Man Boat, a Compass, and a cheap version (no stats or buffs) of weapon of their choice from the "Shopping Districts" in any of the starter areas.

I.C. vs O.O.C. Information

While you are free to browse any sub-forums, threads & posts available to you within Radiant Dawn, the information you pick up in these threads should stay in your head and not your character's.

  1. All abilities, Devil Fruits, ranks, allegiances, occupations, races, etcetera are not available pieces of information upon first meeting a character. Simply put, if your character has not seen it, they do not know it. No character should know any information about another upon first meeting them, with a few exceptions.

    • A character may infer details about another character if possible; if one is wearing a Marine jacket, it is safe to assume they are a Marine. If they have fins and gills, it is safe to assume they are a Fishman. They may not, however, pull things out of thin air, such as a wanted poster hanging on a wall nearby.

    • Information provided via the Pressing Tide is obtainable if the character has the paper on their poster. Your character is limited to what is written there.

    • If your character gets this information from another source, such as a character in the know, you absolutely must be able to provide a reference link for this. This is limited to actual RPCs, not NPCs that you puppet.

  2. It is okay to "conveniently meet up with others," otherwise we'd all be stuck trying to run into people we want to make crews with, etc. However, randomly knowing the location of another character in order to get to them and aid them in a fight or hunt them is not allowed.

    • The only characters in the guild supplied this information are CP9 Agents, who are given it directly from the World Government during assassination missions only.

  3. You most certainly may not give your character knowledge about the inner workings of any system they are not part of, such as the Marine Ranking system, Cipher Pol, what determines bounty, etc.

  4. Knowledge of Cipher Pol 9 is limited to Admirals and above. No one else should know about them whatsoever unless one of the above exceptions applies.

  5. Very famous individuals are the exception to the rule. Yonkou, Shichibukai, Admirals, Fleet Admiral & the World's Most Wanted are widely known; it is possible and acceptable to recognize them on sight, unless they are in disguise.

Deleting a Character

Decide you no longer want a character because you have a fruit you don't want, or you're just plain bored of the character and want to try something new? Then you may delete this character if you want and use the empty slot for a brand new character. When you post up the new character, simply state that you are deleting one of your characters, and provide a link to that character's poster.

Although, you must have a waiting time between each character. Your first character delete will be free of charge. The next will be a two week waiting period, and every character after will be just one month. So erase characters wisely, and make sure you really want to erase that character, because there is no going back on this.

Remember to PM a mod so they can remove your old profile, and add your new one. Also, be sure to include how many character deletions you've made.

Reincarnating a Character

Each character slot has five reincarnations. Reincarnating a character is almost the same as deleting them. However, all stats, items, and beli are transferred over to the new character. This excludes meitou granted from events. Simply post a new profile if this is your desire, linking to the old poster and indicate that you wish to reincarnate.

Each slot gets an extra five reincarnations, until a character cannot be reincarnated again. This count is noted on the posters.

Note: If you make a new character and never post at all with this character or do any updates, you may replace this character. Doing so is the same as a reincarnation, however it is not counted towards the reincarnation limit. However, if you are seen abusing this privilege, you may have this right stripped away.

Extra Characters

If you wish to get an extra character beyond your first one, you are free to do so up to a total of [5] different role play characters total, but must obey certain limitations. Characters are not allowed to interact in any way shape or form. They may not meet, RP together, or exchange items.
