Crowma honestly had no idea why Rianon felt the need to go shopping, in a city, for gifts that she could easily make herself in her own hive. The witch had tried explaining to her lusus that with all her new friends that handmade gifts just wouldn't cut it. Plus, she still had all those beetles from the Space Tower volunteer work. Putting aside the fact that her being paid wasn't much of volunteer work. Crowma still didn't understand it but was obliged to follow and protect her charge. For some reason the trolls were particularly fiesty tonight.
There was so much to browse in Giggle's Mirthland. While Rianon wasn't a fan of the heavily highblood population of juggalos, she had to admit that their fascination with miracles was admirable. Comparable perhaps to her own fascination with magick, one and the same perhaps.
The girl had no idea how she had found her way to the back but once she turned around she was suddenly met with hundreds of masks. Rianon let out a high pitched yelp from the shock, covering her mouth as soon as she did. She tried to hurry out of that section. In her escape some troll tried to snag the shawl off of her shoulders, somehow sneaking inbetween Crowma and Ri.
"Step the heck off or Alternia help me," the girl said to them in a deeper voice than Crowma had ever heard her speak. The lusus batted the troll down an aisle with a swipe from one of her massive wings. Apparently the troll wasn't without rebutt though as it sunk a mouth full of fangs into her wing.
Rianon only now realized that she had somehow grabbed one of those disturbing masks. When did that happen? Oh well, she was sure she could think of someone who would love it.

She was buying the entire swamp presents.

Vremea hadn't meant to join in on this killer sale (literally) but she'd been in town, and she'd been looking, and looking a little too hard at the toys the others could use. And seeing one of them reminded her of one the swamp kids. So she was set on participating. She'd just... Have to find out how to get them there. Yes.

She visited the mirthland first. Juggalo sure knew how to party, so all sorts of stuff would definitely be here. Right? It was only after she bumped into Rianon, the girl from the forest, that she felt her face pale and insides curl up. Vremea definitely needed to keep an eye on her. "Why hello there, Rianon. It'a been a while, ahaha." She murmured softly, seeing the mask and being reminded of when Odette stole all those juggalo masks for them.She was pretty sure hers was still in her old hive, somewhere. Maybe she could give it to her as a joke? (Would that even be a good present?) "Would you like to shop together? I find it a lot more pleasant shopping with another than spending my time alone, especially now... aha."

Rianon spun around when she heard that voice. It was easy to recognize, considering the fact that it came from the only adult troll she really spoke to for more than a couple words.
"Bellen," she said. Rianon was excited to see the hemoanon woman again. She was still somewhat of a mystery to her. They had gotten into a heated discussion, but for some reason Bellen seemed completely indifferent towards the end of her visit. Quite puzzling indeed.
"I'd be happy to go holiday shopping with you. After all, the civility seems to have disintigrated. I think we can hold our own though," she said, with a grin. They had worked well together once before anyhow.
"Maybe we should try Dry and Wet Goods though. These masks are..." she shivered, "Anyhow, before we lose our opening."
The greenblood hurried out of the store, glancing back to make sure Bellen was following. Crowma made sure to clear them a path.
Luckily as they arrived at their new destination, Ri found a fluffy ball on the groun. Unluckily, as the girl bent over to snatch it, a display rack came hurtling at Crowma.

Vremea found the greenblooded troll very pleasing to be around. With a light chuckle, the hemoanon nodded. "Yes, it truly seems that way. We must be careful... Aha..." Bellen smiled lightly, looking at the mask she'd picked up and wrinkling her nose. It reminded her of Odette, and the troll she had a sort of... Problem with in the past. She remembered the purpleblooded juggalo. Hmm. Maybe she could use this for something. Tucking it away, Vremea followed after Rianon, feeling a bit nervous-- "W-wait, is it not very expensive there?" She asked, entering the store... Her eyes lit up. 75% off?! Her hands immediately snatched up the home media system. It'd be a good thing to have in her hive here. Or maybe she could pawn it...

"That's the point! The saaales," Rianon said, eyes sparkling as she clapped her hands in excitement. The store looked like it had so many wonderful gifts up for grabs. The little witch giggled as she noticed Bellen's own excitement with an entertainment system she found. Something caught Ri's attention, barely sticking out from underneath a rack, bending down to grab them, Crowma got nailed again with a flying hand basket. The lusus made a deep crackling sound. She was NOT a fan of this.
Rianon came back up clutching...socks. She rolled her sight-orbs. "I'm sure there are hidden gems throughout the store," she commented, nodding to herself and Bellen.

There was chaos all around them. Vremea hadn't seen this much fighting since Kursha's betrayal, and before that, a sale in her favorite material shop. Thankfully she was sturdy enough to take a good few hits. Rianon, however, was not. Quickly rushing over, she took a hit for the the greenblood-- Nothing too hard, thankfully! On the floor there was a cute ball on a chain. Straightening up, Bellen showed her the ball on a chain and released a giggle. "Something like this, you mean? What a jewel," She murmured lightheartedly with an attempt of a joke, soft smile on her face as she tucked it away. Might've been good for someone! One never knew.

Rianon giggled as well. "Such gems," she commented, dangling her own as well. What would they be good for? Who knew, but they were on sale and that was all that mattered.
It was about now that Rianon spied the corner of a box shoved in the back of a shelf. Was that...a brand new microwave?! The little witch jumped up onto the shelf to grab the box and drag it out. As soon as she was back on the floor with her prize, a slightly older troll tried to grab the box from her. The witch's hair bristled, and her eyes grew dark. "Get your filthy nubs OFF this microwave before you end up like the grubloaf on the box," she threatened. The troll was slightly taken aback, who knew if it was Crowma leaning over her, or the trolls words that made them run off.
"See, gems!" She turned back to Bellen with a giggle and smile.

Holy crap. Rianon was definitely not a troll who took things standing down, especially a sale. Vremea was impressed. She looked at the microwave TV and raised an eyebrow. "That sure seems handy." She murmured, grabbing another fluffy ball on a chain, smiling at it fondly. Maybe she could give one to Autumn? She it'd fit her, it was even orange and all. Vremea was pleased. "Is there anything else you'd like? I think I might want to go soon, I don't exepct to have much money left after buying here, ahaha." She looked at the home media system. She guessed it was good to spoil herself now and then.

As soon as Rianon had the microwave secured in her arms she tossed it back to Crowma, who seemed to be carrying everything in her branched wings. The moment the box left her arms the little witch tripped some blueblood who was carrying a surround-sound home media system, snatching it from the air before the electronic hit the ground. She was indeed cut-throat with sales.
"Yeah, I think I'm ready for the next store!" She smiled innocently up at Bellen. This girl was a tricky one, that was for sure.

Vremea was baffled. "You-- You truly shouldn't do that, especially to--" She looked over her shoulder at the blueblood, quickly rushing them out of the store. "Do not do that to highbloods!" She whispered urgently, seeming nervous. She wasn't Vremea here, she was very pro-royal. "That was very rude!" She quickly grabbed a few erasers. Maybe Stryke would like them, for when he did his drawings...?

Rianon's smile faded away. Her first thought was to maybe take Bellen's advice, but her second thought was 'why? she wasn't her lusus.' There were very few trolls she had respect for, well outside of her rebel idols of course, but still was that respect ruminating inside her?
"I don't really think anyone is acting accordingly right now though," she responded, glancing around at the sea of grey and colors duking it out with no way to discern who started what. "Maybe you'd find it a little fun too, after all these savings aren't around all year~" There had to be SOME reason this grown woman went around hemoanonymously. Perhaps that was what fascinated the child the most.
As a troll who was running from something collided with Crowma a dancing root vegetable bonked the lusus on the head. Crowma knew the drill by now, she took hold of the gift in her branches before someone else could grab it.

She had a point. But Bellen still had her lips pursed and her insides shifted uncomfortably. "I-- I just feel like, something you though be wary of. Because you, ah, never know." She murmured, seeming a lot more nervous. Bellen didn't want to attract attention. Managing to grab a box of the things Croma grabbed, Bellen tucked it away, giving Rianon a nervous chuckle. "I'd just, rather not attract attention to myself." It seemed pretty obvious as to why not.

Rianon couldn't help but wonder about Bellen's very apparent aversion to attention. Perhaps she was on the run from the law? A former hunt victim perhaps? It was hard to guess, but it hardly mattered at the moment. The witch definitely wanted to suss out her story, but not at the expense of her comfort.
"Ah! This is actually really cute!" Rianon said with a giggle, holding up the nesting doll for Bellen to see, all the different tiny roots stuffed into one another.

She was thankful Rianon did not ask anymore than she already had. Grabbing a few potatoes, she reasoned-- They did need more food. And they could grow more potatoes with the right dirt in the swamp, she was sure. Potatoes were great, too. Looking at the doll Rianon found, Bellen chuckled, eyeing it a little better and finding it very sweet! "It's adorable. Maybe I can find one later, ahaha."
