xxxSo you want to be a Tamer and go on adventures with your Digimon? Well there are some things you should know before you begin! To get started on your adventure please create a profile here!!


Follow Gaia TOS and Guild rules that may or may not be included in these.

══════ ►Role-playing Rules◄ ═══════════════

1. You can not use any Tamer, Digimon, or Character from any Digimon Season, Game, manga, ect. in plots without the RP Mod or Vice Captain permission, that includes all titled Digimon. If you are caught using a character from any of these, you will be given 1 warning. After that, you will be banned.

2. You must show respect to all other members. (No ignoring, annoying, begging or cursing other people. Even if they not good at RPing or if they are too good at Role Playing.)

3. If you're IC (In Character) and your character wishes to take or steal from another character, you must first either tell them via OOC (out of character) or via PM. This must be done before you post the action.

4. NO killing other players character, unless you have their permission. Evidence of the mutual agreement must be posted in the Killed Characters Topic.

5. The use of weapons in the RP is strongly prohibited. Things like small pocket knives and other such tools for survival are, however, allowed, but not for survival as in fighting.

6. You have to go through Customs to enter and leave the Digital World so no illegal substances like drugs or anything else that could be a danger to Humans or Digimon unless approved by the Customs agent (RP Mods)

7. DO NOT GOD-MOD! No one is above this rule, no mod, tamer, or member.

8. If you speak in OOC(Out Of Character) you must use ((,)) or some variation on it.

9. When RPing, it is suggested that you post in third person.

10. If you're using multiple Characters, identify which character is speaking by assigning a different color to each. And be consistent. This rule is not required but it is helpful to everyone.

11. Do not use ** to perform actions. Please write literately. We don't expect much, just use "quotation marks" when your character is speaking, and leave action and other writing in normal text. For thoughts, and thinking dialog, use italics

12. No double posting with the same character in a group arc.

══════ ►Forum Rules◄ ═══════════════

1. Do not post topics in this forum without permission. Topics in this forum are Locations, not separated stories. I do not want to see, "New Digimon story! Accepting~Now!" Posted in this forum. Unique and Miscellaneous RPs, even if they are Digimon based, are not for this forum.

2. When Moving from one Location, to another, add at the end of your exit post, [[Somebody - Exit - To New Location]](If multiple people are exiting, all must be listed. Separated by comas)
If you are entering a new Location, add to the beginning of the entry post, [[Enter, Somebody, From Last Location]]

3. Last but not least, you must create a profile before you may RP in this part of the guild! Create one here, this is different than your tamer profile!

══════ ►Digivolution Rules◄ ═══════════════

1 You must own all digimon you use in the RP, as you unlock new partners in the guild place their guild art in your profile so we know who is allowed on your team. If the art is not placed in the profile itself, there is no way for me to know if you truly own the Digimon in the Guild. I will issue 1 warning, and if it is not added in a reasonable amount of time, the RP profile will be blocked until it is fixed. This means no more posts can be made in the RP. (Note: I don't care if it's in your signature. It isn't hard. Put it in your profile anyway.)

2 Non-Guild Owned Digimon, cannot be used in an RP. If you are caught using a Digimon partner you have not acquired through the guild, you will be warned once, and if you continue to break this rule, you will be banned.

3 The exception to rule 2 are NPCs(Non-player-characters). Some examples would be a wild Digimon rampaging in a forest, or shop owner in Network City. These can be used freely, and do not require approval. However, NPCs, are not to be controlled as you would your Digimon partner. Keep that in mind.

The Crew of DTI reserves the right to update this rules as needed.

✯✯✯✯Additional Information✯✯✯✯

So those were the more general rules, but now maybe you want to know more about the actual world and how things work around here. Well let me first explain that this is an open style RP meaning that there is no set story, characters, or even some locations until someone puts them in place. This someone could be me or any of you. We like to think this gives the RPer the ability to really create a world they want to play in.

══════ ►Things to Know◄ ═══════════════

As mentioned above you cannot just create new threads location but you can however create a location within a thread as long as it doesn't interfere with previously established locations. For example within Unity City you will find the Boxing Bro's Gym. This is location has been established though the story so it exists without its own thread needed.

You also may notice that we had some rules for the Digimon you bring. Honestly the only real rule we have here is that you must own the Digimon for it to be used in your team. There are no set lines, there are no required ways to Digivolve. This does however mean that any Digimon that have been previously borrowed to be used in RP are no longer allowed without a RP mod's approval.

══════ ►Social Structure of the Digital World◄ ═══════════════

As you may have already noticed from looking around this new Digital world is a bit different than any worlds that we have had in the past. It has been broken up into 9 Zones. Each Zone is then ruled over by one of the 8 Great Digimon Families except for the Central Zone which is directly ruled by the Digital Council. Each of the Zones have their own rules and regulation. Some of the Zones even require for a Human to be invited into the Zone or to have a certain type of Digimon to be allowed access. Other Zones are more friendly and open with their boarders. There may come times when these Families are at war and you might have to decide who to side with or if it's worth getting in the way. Be sure to pay attention to who likes who and know who you can trust.

The Digital Council is made up of both Humans and Digimon alike. The Digimon are one representative from each of the great families as well as the 4 Sovereigns and Yggdrasil as the head. The Humans include mostly former Officers of the DRF (the good ones) and war heroes. This will change as the humans start to form their own groups. At that point the leaders of the Guilds will sit on the council once recognized by them. The Humans are lead by Digital Police Chief Yolen Grey.

You will also find that there are groups of Digimon and probably humans too that are not loyal to any group. They could be friend or foe so beware.

══════ ►The World◄ ═══════════════

The world is mostly unchanged and the Map will give you a good idea of what it looks like. The major change is the removal of NNC and the addition of Unity City. NNC is now in ruins. The Digimon families also each have their own base but where some of them are actually located is still a mystery.

There are also rumors to be other locations to visit but for now any searching for them is off limits.

══════ ►Other Things to know◄ ═══════════════

Having multiple RP character is allowed but there are some rule to go along with that. First off to qualify for a second character you must actively play your first character for 3 months. This means at least 2 posts a week. The second requirement is Mod approval, we will be checking to make sure your RP ability shows you could handle a second character. The third thing you must do is get the character's Profile approved just like with any other character. Then you are good to go just be sure to know these things below.

- You may not play 2 character in the same RP Guild
- You may not share Digimon between the characters, meaning that you cannot both use the same Gabumon unless that Digimon is transferred and no longer on your team.
- Your characters cannot be the only Characters rping together, basically you can't rp 2 characters by yourself.


Another thing that i'm sure people are wondering about is crests, how do you get them? Well it has become much easier in this rp. The only thing needed for you to get your own crest is to PM a Mod about which one you would like. If it is a custom one then be sure to include the symbol and the color you want. After you do this await further instruction as you will have just activated a quest. Once you have acquired a crest only you may have it unless you become inactive or it is transferred by you.

As of today you may now play as a Digimon instead of a Tamer!! I know this is great news for a lot of you but there are a few special rules you must understand that will apply. Please read below

══════ ►Play as a Digimon◄ ═══════════════

First off the approval process is the same, just fill out a form just like you would for a normal character. The main difference is that you will use a Sprite of the Digimon rather than an avi. Another thing to know is you will not have a Digivice or a team of Digimon for that matter. Here are the rules

- The Digimon has to be a guild owned Digimon
- You can not Digivolve past champion without a Tamer or rp mod approval
- You can later be obtained by a tamer if you wish. At that point you can either continue to RP how you were with the addition of the Tamer or you can switch over to the Tamer as your main.
- Digivolution is permanent unless you are Tamaed due to battle in which case you will have to start as an egg again.
- Digimon can attack Humans.
- Digimon can join the Great Families in a similar fashion to Guilds for Humans.
- RP Mods reserve the right to update these rules at any point
