Party Boy and the Prankster!

Tibu jaunted through the field, glancing around the tall grass and flower-strewn area with thoughts of what kinds of games could be had. Everywhere he looked, a ball flew through his mind's eye; Soccer, flag football, baseball- er... no, the ball'd get lost too easy. Ooh! Volleyball! Could even use that fallen tree as a net! He couldn't help himself, and bunched up for a leap, then set to pelting around the field in several circles, then tumbling paw-over-ears to flop on his back and laugh up at the clouds through the now-reaching grass. "ARCEUS, but I love this world!"

A little purple and white blip zipped after him, floating above him after he'd landed and looking put-out for having to chase him down. "You should not run so far away, I've no desire to chase you all day!"

The sound of laughter caught his attention. Floating as quietly as he could, the blue kitsu approached the stranger wearily. Noticing the bright colors of a Pokemon team trainer, Hoopa's heart almost skipped a beat. Someone he could mess with! Snickering into his paws, the rings separated form his body.

One golden ring made its way over the trainer and the other towards a stream nearby. Hoopa watched with glee as the ring dipped into the stream, the water gushing out of the other ring to soak the stranger. After a minute or so giving an unwanted bath to the other, Hoopa made his presence known. The rings returned to wrap around his paws.

"Did Hoopa surprise you?" he snorted trying his hardest not to break down laughing.

Tibu's eyes drifted open and cocked at the brow as he looked up at the large gold ring. He tilted his head up at it a few moments before the dark glow in the middle preceeded the flood his purple guardian barely avoided.

When the waters receeded, they left a very still kitsu in their wake, sprawled sideways in the mud. The purple guardian hovered hesitantly over the soaked yellow-and-black she'd come to know as an incessant party boy. Finally tired of waiting, she turned a dark look on the floating purple one. "You, young kitsu, have done ill this day. I'm sure that it will come back on you, in a very big way." She crossed her arms and held her stare on the kitsu.

"BOO!" the blonde kitsu shouted, as he sat bolt-upright again. He snickered as the purple guardian creature stumbled in her float and chided him in prose. Now half-painted, half-coated in mud, he laughed up at the agitated spirit. "Oh, it was a joke, lighten up!" he barked, smiling at the purple. "Seriously, though... be careful with water. 'Lotta folk don't like the idea of drowning so much." He stood and awkwardly offered a paw to shake with the other kitsu, a big smile plastered on his face.

Hoopa gave out a cry as the painted kitsu boy jumped up. The pokekitsu quickly hid behind the tree before realizing it was a game. Snickering he came back out into the open.

"Hoopa was surprised! Hoopa really surprised!" the jinn laughed into his paws almost somersaulting in glee. He floated closer to the strange trainer.

"Hoopa like you. What does Hoopa call you?"

The painted Kitsu chuckled, turning his smile on the delicately-arranged purple kitsu. He cocked his head and held out his paw for a shake. "The name's Tibu!" He chuckled, then eyed the other. "And I'm gonna guess you're... Jerry. Right?" He followed this up with a raspberry, clearly teasing.

Once the pawshake was made, Tibu made a point of drawing the other into a hug and playfully rubbing mud into his fur. "Guess we both need a bath, now, huh?"

Hoopa squawked and tried to pull back before getting too messed up. He quickly backpedaled away from Tibu and used his rings to quickly wash himself off in a similar fashion to his prank against the trainer. He made a rude face at the other, tail thrashing in annoyance.

"Hoopa is Hoopa," the kitsumon stated crossing his arms, "Tibu-ya is mean to Hoopa. Hoopa no like that." He touched his rings delicately with his paws not wanting to break his pout.

Tibu blinked up at the kitsumon and gave an apologetic smile. "Hey, relax. It was just a joke." He smiled, pulling himself out of the mud. "You don't like muddy hugs from the kitsus you got muddy?" He stuck his tongue out playfully, then shook to rid his fur from as much as he could of the wet soil. "I'm sorry if the hug scared you, bud. It was meant as a gesture of friendship."

"Hoopa needs to look Hoopa's best for people," he stated bluntly. Turning back around to look at the trainer, he tilted his head to one side. A darker smile spread across his face, the playful aura about him vanishing as the shadow leeched forth.

"Hoopa is not scared. Hoopa is strong." Shaking his head to force the shadow to retreat a bit, Hoopa's expression lit up. "Hoopa's rings can bring anything. Hoopa can surprise you again!" The rings began to glow brightly...

Gabranth tumbled out of the ring, his armor causing him to roll a good bit from Hoopa. "What in the name of Landis....where am I?" demanded the heavily armed kitsu.

"Did hoopa surprise you?" snickered the pokitsu.

Tibu looked at the heavy kit with surprise too evident to argue. He offered a paw to help the young ball of metal up out of the mud and dirt. "That looked a little like it hurt. You okay? Still not entirely sure myself, but it's got some lovely views."

The purple guardian floated closer to hoopa with a cocked brow. "Surprises are all well and good, but pain and fear can ruin the mood."  

[Whoan]

"But Hoopa surprised you, yeah? Yeah?" the kitsu urged. He batted at the guardian playfully.

"You!" hissed the kitsu jumping to his paws, "You brought me here? How? WHY? Prepare yourself!" He lunged at the smaller purple pokitsu with his teeth ready for blood.

Hoopa grinned and allowed his shadow loose. He grew in stature and his two arms became six. His two rings became eight. A sadistic fanged grin split his face from ear to ear. He caught the armored knight in two hands and shoved him through a small hoop.

"Ali-hoopah!" jeered the djinn looking pokitsu. He closed the rings with a darker laugh. Towering over the trainer, he knelt down to his level his laugh trailing off to a chuckle. He poked and prodded at the trainer with two of his clawed hands. "Hoopa surprised you now."

Tibu had been giggling with the knight, and watching Hoopa irk the guardian hounding on him. "Hey, Come on, man! It was a jo-" Tibu stared at the djinn with the rougher treatment and flopped back onto his haunches with the pokes, tilting his head up at the djinn. "Hey, you already got me once." He sighed and shrugged. "Gotta keep in mind, Hoopa. Others don't always like being handled like that. You're not gonna make a lotta friends that way, you'll end up scaring everyone."

He put one paw on the djinn's odd, clawed hand and grinned. "Bet you can't surprise me any better when you're little and cute." He stuck his tongue out at the larger, more wicked-looking of the personas using the body.
