This would be one of Cali's first times opening her sweets booth. Until this moment, she had been going door to door selling her goods to neighbors. To.... very mixed results. But she was now able to buy herself a nice stand that was easy to take apart and put back together. She had several different sized packages of cookies and other confections sitting on the table, all of which were wrapped in carefully decorated clear bags and tied with vibrant ribbons.

So far though, she hadn't had too many customers. Maybe one or two... which was sort of boring honestly. At the very least she would have liked someone to talk to her. Calida let out a sigh and rest her head on her head, the metal cold against her skin.

It was a quiet night in the city. At least, as quiet as it got, anyway. For Fletch this was both good and bad. Good because it wasn’t stressing him out, but bad because well, he’d come out with the intent to probably maybe talk to some people, but the majority of people seemed to be rushing around tonight, with not a glance spared for the casual way he was walking on his hands. With a sigh, Fletch flipped carefully back onto his feet, and decided that if nobody was going to talk to him, then he would have to talk to someone instead! ...As soon as he found someone that wasn’t so scary looking because he was in a good place tonight, no need to harsh on his vibe by starting any fights. And maybe his own age, that’d be good.

He was so caught up in the idea of who to pick, he almost didn’t notice the smell. But Fletch liked sugar, and it was a delicious, sugary smell. Fletch made an about turn towards the scent, toothdad on his shoulders letting out a sleepy squeak of displeasure, swiftly followed by a rumble of pleasure as Fletch petted him in apology. The lusus was snoozing around Fletch’s shoulders - a heavy weight, but not an unbearable one, especially as it was a loved weight.

The smell led him straight to Calida’s stall, where Fletch’s mouth opened in an ‘o’.

“So many delicious pretty treats, all wrappped up like a ******** carnival of delight.”

It took him a second to realise he’d said that out loud.
