[ORP] Festival of Life: Hide and Seek

[Seaki]

It's time for a little game of hide and seek! These little rascals have decided to play hide and seek with the pride! The adults and any others are invited to join their game with them! The Seeker is Nanaa, played by me!

Here's how to play!

1. Roll 2d20

• Dice 1: Visual. If you roll above the Seeker's number, you are hidden, below, and you have been seen!
  
• Dice 2: Physical: if you roll above the Seeker, than you are safe, below and you are tagged! However! If you are hidden from the seeker in the first roll, you are still safe.
  
• Total of the Dice: This is how close you are to Base! Subtract the running total from 100 to get to the base. Keep a total in your post, but Seaki will double check.

Note: The seeker's numbers will change each day! Make sure you watch for that!

What happens if you're spotted: Roll a 1d20. If it's higher than the Seeker's Second Number, you escape! If it's lower, you've been tagged!

What happens if you number's match the Seeker's Exactly: You're hidden and Safe, keep going!

What happens if I'm tagged: You can still participate. Roll a 1d20 and add that to the distance away from Base and start back from there (ex. If you're 50 paces away from Base, and roll a 7, you're now 57 paces away from base. If you roll a 20, you're now 70 paces away from base!)

The first 3 to base get a choice of the cubs, the mother will be raffled to all those who participated!


Rules

1. Your post must be filled in to count!
   
2. There must be a cool-down post in between each of your posts! You can interact with others, and even have your SoA hide with other members! Have fun with it.
   
3. Each post will count as a raffle ticket, but you may only win one SoA in the Festival of Life event!
   

Bonus! Pride Members get 3 points for participating in this event, so even if you don't win there's a little bit of a reward regardless.

Nanaa loved hide and seek. It made her giddy in the inside. There was a joy of a chase, but never any harm. It was her favorite game as a small cub, and the small leotah enjoyed playing with the cubs during her spare time away from her studies.

Today was special though! During the Festival, everything is free reign, and members and rogues of all ages would come join her in her game of hide and seek. A trio of over-eager cubs had already started their hiding before anyone had even arrived. She gave a soft chuckle, and settled by the base of the largest tree in the pride to count.

“One!” She started loudly, “Two!”

The whole once she counted to twenty, she would be off, seeking anyone who dared enter the area around the tree. She gave a small giggle, peering around to try to find anyone who happened to be participating in the Hide and Seek Zone, as she had dubbed it.

She was fast at tag, but hide and seek was a little bit different. She finished her counting and skulked away from the base, looking for anyone who might cross her path.

Nizana couldn't help it the thought of playing hide and seek had made her giddy. She blamed the cubs in her family and her new mate, all of it had made her feel so youthful. So when everyone started gathering to play Nizana found herself collecting the cubs and bringing them out to play. Now as she looked around she could see a few of her cubs here and there hiding. She felt her lips grow into a smile as she ducked into the bushes with one of her daughters. "Shhh" she told her with a grin on her lips.




Cifahari scurried into the bushes with her Momma curled up beside her and stuffed a paw over her mouth as she watched Nanna begin her search. She had to bite back a squeak when she thought for sure the seekers eyes had fallen on their hiding spot but sure enough they continued right past them and continued searching. She turned her gaze up towards her Momma her eyes filled with excitement.

Once Nanaa passed by Niz looked down at Cifahari. "Okay lets see if we can get closer to home." she said in a whisper and moved to exit the bushes. She did her best to stay quiet and keep the little cub with her. She loved seeing the excited twinkle in her little ones eyes. "We will have to move fast." she told her with a nod hoping they could slip out of these bushes and into once closer to home base. Creeping the best she could Niz made her move, its possible they should have waited for Nanaa to move further away but there was no fun in that.



Cifahari didn't care about the risk she was ready to move and wanted to play dangerously. She stifled her giggles and scouted along underneath her mother. Cifahari had learned at a young age how to walk beneath her parents bellies without tripping them, she liked to have the cover they presented. It seemed like they had only just step out of the bushes when Cifahari had realiezed then been spotted. "Run" she called. Giggling as she went. It didn't matter to Cifahari if she got tagged she was having a ball, besides being tagged didn't mean game was up she just had to back track and find an better spot.

They hadn't made it far when Niz was tagged along with ehr cub. "Come on little one we need to hid again." she said laughing as she went scooping up the cub along the way.



Cifahari was happily picked up by her momma as they slipped away looking for another place to hide.

Nanaa gave a triumphant laugh, puffing her chest out as she caught a few of her pride mates. It seemed they were all having fun so far, which was the most important thing about this whole event!

She tagged Nizana, and one of her cubs first, watched as the pair dashed away from her, Cifahari being carried away. She gave a bright laugh, spotting Viher and one of Nizana's other cubs. She tagged the pair as well, letting them run off. She gave them a chance to find a new hiding spot, turing her back on them and leaving to find anyone else who might try to dart towards base while she wasn't paying attention.

She stalked along, looking for movement, wondering how many others were playing.

Nizana made it into some bushes a bit further back from where they had been. It was okay though there was still plenty of time to make it to home base. Perhaps she would just have to be less aggressive. She placed Cifahari done on the ground. "Okay little one looks like we will have to try a different tactic." she said with a grin. Peeking through the bushes Niz saw as Nanaa moved away from them. "Alright lets go, we are going to stay in the bushes this time. Are you read?" she asked a grin on her voice and excitement in her voice.



Cifahari was quick on her feet able to move easier underneath all the branches than her momma was. She slipped through stiffling all giggles trying to be as serious as possible about her current mission. She really wanted to be the first one to get to home base but she was still so far away. "Keep up Momma come on." she whispered over her shoulder to her mother. She had seen Nanaa go the other way but who knew how long it would be before she circled back around to where they were. This game was exciting, she peeked around seeing if she could spot any others hiding in the area.
