◢ Gender: Bigender! Though she uses female pronouns mostly, due to history's rulers being mostly females.

◢ Profile: Jealousy exists in every nook and cranny of Mesnei, having been grown with the idea that she gets whatever she wants, and that the only way she can be great is by being great herself and using the good things from others to her advantage. She craves attention and desires to be respected by others, her jealousy stemming from the words of praise she enjoys to hear from Phelie. From the very first appraisal, Mesnei was hooked on praise, any type. She's a natural born leader, usually taking the initiative during a situation, and even if the group already has a leader she proclaims she is the leader because she is (most likely) the troll of highest blood in the group. Her goal is to be a battle strategist in the future, but the strategies she develops at her current age tend to not be very good due to her limited knowledge of land and its radically different culture compared to her own. She doesn't know how to deal with landdwellers and lowbloods, having never properly met one face to face. Phelie tells her most if not all Landdwellers are uncultured, so more often than not, Mesnei will speak to them as if they're deaf. She is also not used to some mannerisms on their part-- Common interactive things like shaking a trolls hand, hugging, or playfully punching someone are things she does not really understand. However, her lusus also tells her she is better than them, and should treat them respectfully while being thankful for each of their efforts. After all, without them, who would do the grunt work? So she tries to uphold this, not only because her lusus prides themselves on it but because she feels like this would be an advantage to her in the future.
She is quite the hard a** due to the teachings of her lusus, unbudging for even the most pitiable of faces. She is very direct and dense, taking forever to understand the subtle messages of others. When it comes to jokes, secret information, or hidden meanings, Mesnei does not understand them straight out, hating the thought of riddles and finding the appeal of actually moving and battle more to her liking. Her ideas of jokes are very dry and bland, more disturbing than funny, but don't let her ever hear you call them unfunny-- She will be terribly offended and angry.
Mesnei follows the hemospectrum the right way, which is to say, treating every color the way her lusus taught her they should be treated. Lowbloods were workers: Trolls she interacted with only when she needed something, Midbloods were socialites: Trolls she interacted with if she needed help, and highbloods were trolls she actually wanted the attention of, trolls she needed to impress, mostly due to Phelie telling her how important they are to society and how influential they are. While she already had advantages due to being a highblood, the only way she'll be able to officially go further in society is if she recieved attention and recognition. While every troll is different, Mesnei tends to attribute them to her personal scale and through interaction sees the way she should treat them... Though she definitely holds a strong prejudice to trolls below her, having learned from birth that the fins upon her face were blessed and set her instantly above the rest, no question.
Mesnei is very dependent on her lusus, wishing to live up to the standards Phelie places on her as a person of such a high rank. The only reason she tries so hard is because she believes Phelie is worth impressing, and in turn, she will impress the others around her, thus getting her not only attention from others, but eventually admiration and praise. She hates it when someone she is trying to impress gets distracted by something else, and will be severely envious of the troll who'd managed to take the attention from the other. This envy and jealousy eventually turns into wrath and anger, thus tying in with her Divine Retribution™-- She seeks revenge from the trolls that have wronged her.
As a highblood of her caliber, Mesnei believes it is her responsibility to punish all the bad guys and deliver divine retribution upon criminals and trolls that go against her own personal view-- AKA, anything relating or attributed to her. Which is, er, everything, technically! Mesnei attributes all situations to herself in some way, and talks about herself and her greatness so much it's literally become a valid conversation topic for her. When there is nothing to talk about, she brings it out of woodwork and redirects the conversation from one thing back onto herself. She's a narcissist out of habit, mostly because the most interesting topic she'd speak to with her lusus was herself. She is too stubborn and locked in her own ways to accept help from anyone that isn't her own lusus or other seadwellers, and even then she does it with a haughty air of superiority. Mesnei’s divine retribution varies from small pranks to destroying the life of another troll, as she believes death is sacred and should come to those who deserve it. She would rather make the life of another troll a living hell than to kill them—To kill would defeat the purpose of the word ‘punishment,’ in her opinion.
Her lusus taught her many things to be a good leader. Among these things was to be loyal to the crown, no matter how much more deserving of it Mesnei herself was of it. Her lusus has instilled this into her mind since she was a wiggler, but Mesnei has had her doubts. She listens to Phelie because they're her caretacker and guardian, but Mesnei has always harbored a strange curiosity toward how it'd be like without Phelie around. Without her... limits. Without Phelie around, Mesnei is more likely to bend or even break the rules, if only just to experiment or see how it feels. Things like telling them what to do makes this seadweller feel power and like a leader when she's the one that calls the shots or organizes the roles. Phelie constantly tells her to allow others express their opinions, to listen to others and etc, but Mesnei believes only her opinions matter and therefore be more inclined to ignore the opinion of lowerblooded trolls. She is more likely to experiment and/or step out of line, especially when it comes to those of lower castes—She’s never had the luxury of trolls doing as she says due to Phelie believing she was just as able as well as a Rolemodel Seadweller. However, should Phelie find out, she will give the troll a harsh and unforgiving beating. Mesnei learned these mannerisms from Phelie, hence believing that any and all wrong-doings should be punished extensively.
Mesnei has quite a few hobbies. She enjoys to play most water sports, and actually enjoys to act, even though she isn't very good at it. She enjoys to watch television and extensively buys the items offered between the commercial breaks, as she has a weak will for resisting to buy things that she is told is a must-have or "in-season." She enjoys searching and finding lost items on the ocean floor, and should she find a pirate ship, she will go ballistic, as Mesnei has some sort of an infatuation with pirates and collecting booty. She keeps all her discoveries in her cave home.

responsible: As a seadweller, Mesnei automatically assumes the position of highest responsibility in a group. Even though she doesn't exactly know what to do, she tries to find a way with what she knows and what she can deal with. She (albeit begrudgingly) listens to the rest of her team, and when tasked with a project she wants to do, she will get it done, one way or another. Should the team mess up in some way, Mesnei will take this blame upon herself but not explicitly blame herself, more, the situation or anyone that might have affected it in some way.

high-self esteem: The simple fact of her existence is something to be revered, something she's believed in whole heartedly since hatching. She thinks the world of herself-- How could she not, with a bloodcolor like hers? She puts her pride and title on her fins, loving every big of herself and thinking nothing of any compliment or saying her way, as she's so used to getting them from her lusus. She believes she deserves everthing she sees, by the simple act of her birthright.

jealous: Mesnei believes she deserves everything. This could be an item, a position of power, someones attention, or even an actual troll. She searches for trolls that show potential and shuns the pathetic trolls she cannot use, disliking and shunning the idea of pity and the thought that a troll could use that to their advantage. Mesnei blows a fuse when someone takes the attention that was rightfully hers of another troll, enjoying to take the credit for the trolls she's trained or "raised"-- After all, why should one reward the actual troll who was simply guided when the one that did all the hard work, searching for a troll, training them, building them for the future was the one behind the scenes? Mesnei makes it blatantly obvious that she'd helped in some way, wanting some sort of attention she believes she deserves.

possessive: Mesnei's things are Mesnei's things. Mesnei desires any type of thing that seems powerful or useable, and sees trolls around her as items for her future conquests, merely pawns in a game. If someone does the dumb thing of taking one of her precious items, she will get angry and violent. As a kid, this extends mostly to things she owns or thinks she owns. Her possessiveness is something she simply can't control, going hand in hand with her jealousy and envy. Because she is the deliverer of Deving Retribution, if someone takes from her, aka, the Law, she will deliver punishment in the only way she knows how-- Violently.

◢ Mesnei’s lusus is a medium-sized creature with the head of an elephant and tentacles branching from under the trunk of their nose, constantly moving and curling around. It’s body is that of the fabled Loch Ness monster, with a long neck and four large legs that navigate easily through water.
Phelie is a lusus who is expects only the best from their troll, having taught them from a young age how to be respectful and to know her place on the hemospectrum. Phelie tells Mesnei to relish her place and respect it-- She was blessed with it, so instead of abusing and tainting the power she was given, she should be the one to use it correctly as a way of guiding and helping others. Mesnei does exactly this—She wants to make her lusus proud, as her lusus taught her everything she knew. The relationship between Phelie and Mesnei is that of a student to a teacher, as Phelie has taught her all she knows and has been practically her world from the day she hatched. Phelie shows her the things on land and in the sea, telling her humorous stories of anything Mesnei would point out to her. They’re a rather amicable pair, when things are alright. However, when Mesnei steps out of line, Phelie will suddenly become extremely dangerous and violent to her own troll, uncaring if she scars or maims her in her rage, thinking she deserves it for opposing her. The real one making the decisions between the two is Phelie, and Mesnei believes it because she’s scared of Phelie. But whenever she’s not looking, Mesnei will try things out, given enough curiosity.
