Istrea is a world very similar to that of our Earth, a land of lush forests and towering kingdoms that loom over the trees. It is a world home to many different species, ranging from Elves to Sirens to Angelic Mages to Rage Demons, among countless others. The lands are split into nations where certain species reside to prevent any quarrels from happening. Fashrade is the land of humans, the largest nation in the land to the west; Goleta is the land of Elves, Dwarves, and Centaurs, situated in the forested North; Noeven is the land of demons, surrounded by the Eastern desert with cities beside the many oasis' that dot the lands; Erelandra is the land of Angelic beings and magicians, situated in the center of Istrea; and Erowyth is the land where all others reside, known as many as the Rogue Nation. No wars or battles have been waged in the longest time, not since the Great Century War that nearly decimated the entire population of Istrea and led to the downfall of Noeven as a great nation of political power. The borders of the lands are reinforced to keep the peace. If one wishes to travel to a certain species, they must first be granted a travel permit before they may enter the lands. There is no war ongoing, but those who enforce this rule are the Elves against the demons and the demons against the humans. Since many wish to avoid a war from starting, they follow this rule without question.

However, no peace can last forever, for an evil lurks in the darkest shadows of the world. Prophecy states that on the eve of a particular Winter Solstice, the most powerful and evil of witches, Kamawanaiyo Ootoma, shall awaken from her slumber and once again rule the world for centuries with an iron grasp. Everyone knows that Kamawanaiyo was locked inside the body of a Knight, but no one remembers who that knight was. Even worse, if the body of that knight dies, than Kamawanaiyo shall awaken before any Summer Solstice even arrives. A hunt goes on for any clues about the Knight's whereabouts to keep them from entering the Temple of Fate at the border of Fashrade and Goleta. However, others wish for the dark witches return. A band of rogues, some demons, have claimed that they shall awaken the dark witch and assume rule of other realms. To make this happen, they target the heirs of several realms. One of which is Princess Amira Scencebaugh of Goleta, who flees to Fashrade for protection from the demons.

Can Amira be saved? Can a fellowship of heroes join forces to find the knight who unwittingly carries Kamawanaiyo inside them and keep them away from the Temple until the Solstice has passed? Or will the hands of time work for evil instead of good?!

To make a character, please go to the following thread; Profiles. Under the Rules and Character Skeleton announcement thread you will find the basic skeleton to copy and fill out accordingly. To post your character skeleton, please make a new thread and lable it as "(your username)'s characters". This is so you can post as many as you would like under the one thread to keep track of them.

Do not post as your character until you have been accepted. Once you post, myself or Mephis Inferni will determine whether your character is acceptable or not (pointing out any changes that need to be made for you to be accepted). We will quote the post to inform you, that way you receive a notification. Once you have been given the all clear, you are welcome to post.

While there is no set limit for the amount of characters you can make, I recommend only using one or two. Unless you are able to handle multiple characters at a time, in which case go for your life. Do note that some characters made for the story will only come in to play at a certain point and may only be used sparingly, so not using them is acceptable. However, characters not used (without reason for it) will be removed.

Anyone can walk into this RP and leave at any time, although I encourage everyone to stay. You can begin posting right away, but do read through previous posts to understand what has been uncovered, where characters are, and what is going on before posting. There is a The Story So Far section below to list major plot points up to date for newcomers to understand the storyline.

To help keep track of who is posting, since there are no direct profiles, please make sure to use a moderate sized picture of your character and their full name on each post. I recommend making a basic banner to sort this problem. You can also add things like "supplies", "people in company", "feeling", and other such details underneath. Because no profiles are posted, you are required to provide information over the course of the RP, but only when it is necessary to the plot to advance. For an example of a banner or posting skeleton, visit this thread here: Link

If your character dies off, for any reason, this does not mean you cannot continue the RP. You can make another character and carry on from there. However, when it comes to characters being killed off, everyone in the thread needs to be understanding. This is in terms of battles where death is a possibilty. Do not go killing off someone's character for no reason. If what your actions lead up to will result in their death, try and let them know. Just try and be fair when it comes to fights and deaths.

Please keep in mind that if you are absent from posting in the RP for an extended period of time, without explanation, your character will either go missing or be killed off, depending on how the plot of the RP is advancing. Should you return, you can resume playing your missing character and have them return to the group or you can have them go solo for a while. It's up to you. Regardless, please inform myself or Mephis if you are planning to leave so the plot can work around your character's absence.

Please invite friends!

Profiles can be found through this link. Please make a thread using the title of "Your Usernname's Characters" and post the profile(s) there. The code for the profile skeletons can be found through this link and posted in your own thread.

Fashrade
The Realm of Humans. It is ruled by a King and Queen, protected by Knights and a Royal Army, and consists of very strict classes; rich, middle-class, and poor. It is the largest kingdom with the largest army, although many claim the Goleta army is by far stronger. Fashrade has an alliance with Goleta, since the demons of Noeven hate both species. covered in castles and rivers. The capital kingdom, Maeven is led by the Constantinople royal family. King Jethro sits in the throne as the absolute ruler, his wife Karoline always at his side to offer her peaceful ways of thinking. They have two children, Prince Cade and Prince Hector both under the age of 12. As per human nature, they can sometimes act without thinking and their rash actions can have dire consequences. One such result is their falling out with the demons of Noeven. It is a land mostly consisting of plains, hills, and few mountains to the far north. There are dense forested areas across the landscape, many large lakes, and quite a few caves. Most of the villages reside along the rivers, surrounded by stone walls to protect them from any kinds of trouble. They tend accept any who journey to their land, that is except for demons. The only demons they allow in are traders and merchants who are under strict rules and supervision as to not cause harm to the humans in Fashrade and those who travel within the lands. The humans have a Royal Family, Middle Class, and Peasant class. Although they have no law saying certain classes can't marry, most often the Peasant class marries within itself. Most of those in the Peasant class are soldiers, farmers, blacksmiths, chefs, and artisans. Their main export is weaponry and their main import is foods from the other lands, including the lush and fertile Elven lands, Goleta. The clothing is like that of the Victorian era. The higher the class, the more elaborate the fabric and the more vibrant the colors. Those of a lower class would have very muted colors and not much in terms of a variety of fabrics to choose from making their clothing rather uncomfortable to wear. Fashrade has an alliance with Goleta, tying the humand and the Elves together. They often train their armies in the same way so that they can work seamlessly in battle. They are courteous to their friends and allies and barbaric to their enemies. They often remain in their elaborate stone castles or working in their fields when in times of peace. The flag of Fashrade represents their bravery in battle & the overall strength of their knights. The blue colors were to represent different things that Fashrade holds dear. The dark blue background represents the stability of the nation, the medium blue cross represents the bravery of the soldiers, and the twin swords in light blue represents the understanding that war is not always the solution.

Goleta
The Realm of Elves. The Elven lands, which also homes the Dwarves and Shape-Shifters. Led by the Sencenbaugh family for generations. The current King is Goliad, the current Queen is Melarue. The only heirs is Amira, Princess of the Spring, and Lucra, Prince of the Autumn. It is a land vastly covered in forests and mountains. Many of the Elven cities reside in the mountains, near the valleys, or in tree-house like communities. The dwarves have their own cities in caves or in the deeper valleys. Centaurs tend to live in small communities along the rivers. The capital city is known as Kerash, and is the most elaborate kingdom built on the forest floor, yet still encompasses the old trees in the architecture. The soil if Goleta is fertile and as such many foods can be harvested there year round. According to most, the Elves are the most refined and sophisticated of all the species. Most elves stick to the old traditions, and do not embrace mixed-species love. Most who fall for another species are banished to other lands. The Elves fall into ranks of society, like that of the medieval times for humans; Royalty, High Class (Dukes, Duchesses, Noblemen, etc), Middle Class (Artisans, Blacksmiths, City Workers), and Low Class (Peasants). Most of the Low Class are farmers, that tend to the crops for the kingdom. Most of the armies soldiers are of the Middle Class. They value music and art higher than ways of expressing their material wealth. It is uncommon to find different classes mingling amongst one another, and marriages between lower classes and higher classes is deemed as unfit. Only those from the High Class can marry royals, and only those of Middle Class can marry those of High Class. The Low class cannot marry any other class, unless approached by another class (usually only Middle Class). The clothing is like that of India, with wraps and saris in a variety of colors and styles. For the higher classes, they wear a garb covered in gold or silver, adorned with jewellery to show their status. Lower classes wear simpler clothing without the accessories and piercings to show their humble backgrounds. There is no distinction between color and fabric amongst classes, as even lower class can wear a royal purple shade in their clothes. Similar to Fashrade, arranged marriages are common in this nation. Elves are always slender, tall, with long hair and light colored eyes of any shade. Centaurs are medium-skinned with darker shades of hair, and the Dwarves are dark skinned with dark hair. Elvish skin tone can vary depending on the type of Elf they are -- ice elves are extremely pale while Night elves are the darkest in skin tone. Their cities and life-style resembles that of the Medieval times, as well as Fashrade. They are not as barbaric as most would come to believe they would be (considering they are deemed “medieval” by most”). Their main export is food from their lush soil and their main import is weaponry, commonly imported from Fashrade and sometimes other countries. The flag of Goleta represents their bond with nature. The green colors were to represent different things that Goleta holds dear. The olive green background represents the peace they hold amongst the other nations, the dark green center design represents their strength when they come together, and the medium green tree represents their roots to nature and their Gods.

Noeven
The Realm of Demons. It is a land that is closest to Ancient Asian culture in both the architecture, clothing, and traditions. They beleve themselves the superior race because of their phenomenal strength and demonic powers. Not all demons agree with this philosophy however, since most who do are of the Upper Class. There are only two classes in Noeven culture; the rich and the poor. Peasants who serve royal families earn a better living for their own families, so many of the Rich class have hundreds of servants waiting on them. They can be barbarians in battle and have no treaties with anyone. It is a land of hills and dark forests shrouded in mystery and storms. It is led by the Arashi royal family; Emperor Ran, Empress Yuki, and their only son, Takashi. It homes the demons and other dark creatures, as well as the assassins of the world. It is a desert-like land home to many caves, large mountains, crashing rivers, and hidden oasis where many of the villages reside beside. Most of the cities are within the few forests surrounded by rivers and lakes dotted across the land. They are a people who are wary of most travellers, and tend to keep to themselves. The capital city is called Kerang and it is the crown jewel of the nation. It is one that is heavily influenced on our Asian culture in both clothing and architecture. They are deemed as the most barbaric society, mainly because of their violence in battle and anger towards most other species. It is also because of their isolation from other lands and species. Regardless of the fact that the lower class would be welcome to change and new-found allies, their actions towards other nations in the past - namely Goleta and Fashrade - have made them outcast to the other nations and they have few to no allies on their side should a battle ensue. They follow the same basic system of rank as the Elves, but with some difference. Their rank is as follows: Royal Family, Nobles, Soldiers, Middle Class, Lower Class. All the different classes wear the same kind of Middle Eastern clothing on a daily basis, with the African clothing being the clothes worn for hunting. Both males and females know how to hunt and fight in their harsh landscape, with the women commonly hunting for food and gathering fruits while the men protect the villages and country. The flag of Noeven represents inner fire that burns within those who live there. The red and black colors were to represent different things that Noeven holds dear. The red half of the background represents their strong leadership and power in battle, the black half represents the mysterious nature of its citizens. The red wheel-like design in the middle represents that they steer their own way through life.

Erelandra
The Realm of Angels. The land of Angels, Magicians, and Mythical beasts, at the dead center of all the other countries. The main capital of Elerandra is Adyniel. The nation is led by a Senate chosen by the people themselves, with a Grand Senetor (Jakiel Viceroy) at the head who finalizes all decisions for the people. Their culture, clothing, and architecture is similar to that of the Romans and Egyptians with ties into European culture when it comes to their buildings. It is a land that is mostly flat, grassy plains with several small mountains near the southern border (bordering Goleta), and a big lake near the north-western border (bordering Erowyth and Noeven). They welcomes visitors, but they rarely have any. Many travellers try to avoid the country dur to the wild beasts that reside in the forests and caves of the land. Most visitors only come for the annual Festival of Magic, where the wizards show their powers in a tournament. Many priests comes from here as it is the "most holy of lands" and is "blessed by the Gods above" according to many. They do not have an elaborate army as the other nations as they are seldom targeted as they are very peaceful and will negotiate terms. They do not get along well with the demons, however, as that is a race that is the polar opposite of everything the Angels (who lead the land) are. Their main focus is to export clothing, goods (art, food, etc), and they often need to import weapons and armoury in case of battle. The flag of Erelandra represents that the key to life is found within one's soul. The grey, black, and gold colors were to represent different things that Erelandra holds dear. The dark grey background represents their bond with the heavens, the black cross represents their protection of all life within their lands, and the twin golden keys represents the keys of wisdom and freedom.

Erowyth
The Realm of Rogues. It homes a variety of species banned from their own nations for any reason. Those who live here are the least racist and most forgiving of all, since they have lost all and found a place to call home. They are fiercly protective of their lands as a result as if they lose their land, they lose everything worth fighting for in their new lives. Their beautiful capital is the Theriniel kingdom which sits upon a river descending into a waterfall. It is led by a Presidential like figure called a "Guide" who is elected by the people and serves for a minimum of 10 years unless a new candidate is selected. Their current Guide is a witch named Violet Chance ScarboroughThey can only be removed if they have done something wrong that jeapordizes the people in a serious way. They are aided by a council that consists of different people every time, much like a jury more than a senate or congress. Because it is a land of misfits, other than the Guide and the Council, there are no specific ranks. As such, should they venture in other lands, they often forget ranks and can land themselves in hot water. Many dislike leaving their borders as they no they may be chased after and hunted down for mere game, especially by the demons and other races of Noeven. It is common to find different classes mingling amongst one another, and marriages between different species is common and allowed. Erowyth is also a land that boasts many festivals and festivities, often being called the “Party Lands”. The main exports are the many potions and medical herbs they make in their city. They also sell armour and other weapons that they make. Their main food export are the lavish fruits grown in the volcanic soil near the far south of the country; the volcano is a slow-flowing one, like Mauna Kea in Hawaii. The clothing is similar to that of the Mesoamerican era or Polynesian garbs. Their buildings and life-style is similar to European culture, showing the mix of the nations. There are even elaborate gardens that are just like that of Noeven. The flag of Erowyth represents the peaceful and neutral nature of the land. The teal colors were to represent different things that Erowyth holds dear. The dark and light teal background represents the good and evil within all souls in the lands & the black olive branch represents the fact that any and all are welcome and protected within the lands.

██ The King of Fashrade has handed out the decree to find the old soldier who carries Kamawanaiyo
inside of them to keep them from ever entering the Temple of Fate before the Summer Solstice.
██ Sevira enlists the help of Wilhelm in her quest. She also encounters an
Elf girl and an old mage and reluctantly brings them on the quest as well.
██ A gypsy named Jaelle, accompanied by a mage named Alfen, join the quest.
Hints of another, a shadowed faun, joining the quest are seen by Elesmira and Sevira.
██ Chaos in the streets of Maeven! Veronica Steele and her master, Aleith Elemaris, enter the city and
Veronica seeks a duel with Wilhelm. He denies and she attacks!
Sevira steps in to sooth things out, but tensions are high.
██ Trial by combat! Wilhelm challenges Sevira and she accepts. They fight with Alieth
and Veronica watching, but the match is thrown by Wilhelm and leads
to his loss. The journey begins in the morning.
██ The journey begins! Sevira assembles her rag-tag team at the Boar's Tusk
and prepares to embark for the Temple of Prophecy in Erelandra.
██ Just as the journey begins and the group rides for Erelandra, they are attacked.
Sevira prepares to engage in combat with the opponent, a mysterious figure with
a past involving the Assassins Guild of Noeven!
██ Alieth and Veronica face off against the assassin from Noeven. He shows many skills
but so much of his story is still shrouded in mystery. Can the two warriors band together
and beat this demon at his own game? The others wait across the river for them.
██ The evil is thwarted for now, but his identity and past are shrouded in mystery.
The group cautiously carries on, even with more additions. Personalities clash and the group is
divided into three. The journey continues as the sun begins to fall on another day in Istrea.
██ Strangers come and go, along with a new altercation with a creature known as an Illithid. The group splits;
Sevira/Wilhelm//Alfen/Amira, Elijah/Jesha/Jaelle. Veronica and Alieth leave on their own and Maliarc abandons
the group for unknown reasons. The main group sets out for the Temple of Prophecy
and hopes to get there in less than a week's time.
██ Teivel comes across Huum after his encounter with Sevira and offers him a place in
Kamawanaiyo's army. He accepts, hesitantly, and seems to challenge Teivel to a duel.
To no one's surprise, Teivel is the winner with little effort used.
██ Sevira and the others travel towards their new destination. New arrivals and conflicting feelings
cause delays, but they decide to push through nonetheless.
██ The heroes begin to move towards Peraveth in two groups. Teivel and his new recruit
of darkness, Huum, move to unknown sections of Istrea for evil purposes. New forces move
towards Peraveth, but where their loyalties lie is so far unknown.

██ Huum is defeated and Teivel is left without his new aid, searching for more followers to help
Kamawanaiyo be released. Sevira's group meets back up with the secondary group, with
members having been captured along the road.

Sevira Nanashi strode through the streets of Maeven on her trusty brown steed, Olrun. Sevira was the Captain of the Guard for the royal family, an honor she held with pride. While this alone would make her a vastly important member of the Fashrade Army, she also held the rank of Lieutenant so she knew her place and it humbled her. Many others, as she had witnessed, let their egos get the better of them. As she was resuming her patrol for the day, an errand boy came running from the side street and got her attention. He handed her a scroll, which she hesitantly took.

Lieutenant Sevira, you have been summoned by the King. Report to the palace immediately. - Krego, Hand of the King. the note read. She rolled the scroll back up and nodded to the boy to let him know he was free to go. She clicked her heels into her steed and he galloped down the cobblestone streets to the steps of the palace itself. She strode up the steps gracefully and once at the throne, bowed at the feet of King Jethro Constantinople. "I am at your service," she stated firmly.

"Lieutenant Sevira, I have hesitation with asking this of you, but I know that you are the only one who may have any chance of success. I need you to find the old knight whom Kamawanaiyo Ootoma resides within and bring them back to Fashrade. We will keep them here so that they may never go to the Temple of Fate and free Kamawanaiyo as predicted in the Halls of Prophecy. I trust your skills and wisdom in battle. Take with you whomever you feel will aid you, but get this done soon lest we run out of time," he demanded.

She rose from the floor and placed a hand on her trusted blade, Valkyrie's Fury.
"I will not fail you, your majesty," she triumphantly said before
turning on her heels and departing the palace.

"RECRUITS, AT THE READY!"

The booming voice of General Blightshield echoed out across the training grounds, the silver haired man pacing in front of roughly twenty teenage children of both genders. His cloak rustled behind him in his wake, a small breeze throwing his hair wildly behind him.

"I am General Arctavius, undisputed leader of the armies of Fashrade. I am here to oversee your training for today. I hope you took the time to stretch before I arrived, your first task is to run the perimeter of Maeven. No soldier left behind..."

He turned away from the group, smiling to himself. Maeven was a large city and he doubted a single one of the recruits could make it, even he couldn't keep a running pace around the entire capital. This was a test of heart, to keep pushing themselves until they could not run any further. It was also to build loyalty between the recruits, every boy and girl in this group would train the next five years together, live together, bathe together, and sleep together. They were now family and had to treat each other as such.

He formed his face into a false visage of rage, turning back towards the recruits. He drew his sword, waving it menacingly. "WHY ARE YOU ALL STILL HERE? GET YOUR LAZY ARSES GOING!" His voice roared, scattering the recruits.

He chuckled heartily, sheathing his weapon. They would be occupied for the day, it was about time for a drink. He strode meaningfully through the gates that lead to the main city, intent on reaching the Boar's Tusk. It was a guard tavern, so little chance of ruffians interrupting his drink. Reaching the main door, he pushed it open to a cheer of patrons at seeing his arrival. He nodded at the troops, walking towards the empty table at the back. Before he had reached his seat, a large mug of ale was waiting for him. Was he truly that predictable?

Sevira knew full well that there was only one man in all of Fashrade whom she could depend on to find this old knight and keep them from ever entering the Temple of Fate. She also knew were to find him at a time like this. If he wasn't at the Training Arena, which she'd checked already, he'd be at the Boar's Tusk, the most popular tavern and pub for soldiers in Maeven. She rode quickly through the streets, Olrun seeming to fly rather than trod over the cobblestone. She leapt off of his back, tied him to the post, and strode inside.

As she pushed the door open, several of the men bowed in respect to her. It was less because of her rank as a Lieutenant of the Fashrade Army and more because she was the Captain of the Royal Guard, a position of grand status and one never held by a woman before. She continued her way through, past the tables and gazes of men, and sat across from Wilhelm. "General Brightshield," she quietly said with a quick salute, "there is something I need to speak with you about. Is now a good time?"

She waited for him to speak, since he had been one to train her. She held a great amount of respect and admiration for him, since he did the same to her. Very few men in the city treated her with true respect, most feared her. Her strength was far beyond that a woman of her size and build should have. Even though she towered over most men at her astonishing six-foot-five-inches height (six-foot-eight in her heeled boots) she was rather small in her body type compared to the other few female soldiers, as short and bulky as the men.

Taking a long, thirsty drink, the man let his mug rest easily against the table. He nodded to Sevira's salute, reading her body language. Something was definitely up, it wasn't often that Sevira came looking for him. Usually it seemed to be the other way around these days, which made the smile on his face drop to one of pure neutrality.

"Lieutenant, you know you are always welcome to drink with me. But this seems more than just a social request." He sighed inwardly, drinking the rest of his ale in one swing. He stood, fishing for a coin which he placed on the table and motioned towards the back room. He sat himself at the small war table, narrowing his eyes at previous battle plans. Sliding them aside, he settled himself down in one of the two large chairs on one side of the table.

"Before you start, I guarantee this is going to be a request that will make me want to drink for a month straight. And if you're personally requesting me, then this has to be something from His Majesty..." He broke out the reserve cask of sweet mead he'd been saving for his next headache from below the table, as well as two mugs. "Want some?"

It had been an exhausting trek from.....well, wherever he'd been. Unfortunately for him, remembering things thatweren't spells was not his strong suit. He knew it had taken him quite some time to get here, so it must have been quite far away. Both thirsty and hungry, his lips were dry and every now and again you could hear his stomach growl. But first, he wanted information. The food and drink were easy enough to come by at any tavern, and he had a few funds that he had scraped up, so he wanted information first.

The first person Maliarc happened across who didn't look like he wanted to punch the old man in the face he asked for help. "Excuse me, sir, might you point me in the direction of someone of importance?
"Old man, you'll need to be more specific if you actually want directions."
"Ah, my apologies. Perhaps someone like the captain of a guard? Or maybe even a general, or otherwise high ranking army man?"
"Don't know why you'd need one of them, but you can likely find General Arctavius at Boar's Tusk."
"Thank you, my good man."

Maliarc was grateful for his appearance in times like this. Nobody would question him when he asked for things. After all, what harm could an old man do? Continuing down the road, Maliarc swore he ended up doing one big circle in his search for the place called "Boar's Tusk". When he finally came upon it, he could see why a general would be here. There were nothing but guards inside.

He couldn't tell if it was his paranoia or not, but he felt many people immediately look his way when he entered. He guessed this was a place specifically meant for guards, but Maliarc disregarded all of them and continued to scan the room. From his point of view, nobody in here seemed to be a general. Not that he would really know, but he assumed a general would stand out more. Instead, he went to the one spot of the bar where he thought he could get the most help. The bartender.

"Excuse me, good sir, I'm inquiring about speaking to a....General Arctavius?"
His obvious confusion at his own request did make the bartender do a double check, but it was obvious even to Maliarc that the bartender knew where they were. He nodded for a moment before speaking to someone to the side. "He'll be 'round when he can. Take a seat for now, gramps."

Sevira followed Wilhelm when he stood from the table, knowing well what was going to be discussed. She nodded when he mentioned that her instructions came from the King himself. "I take it you are familiar with the legends surrounding Kamwawanaiyo Ootoma? The most feared witch in Istrea's history who brought the world to it's knees for almost four thousand years, stopped only when all of the Twelve Valkyries stood against her," she began as she took a glass from Wilhelm. She downed it on one go and continued after a moment of silence for him to pour more, as he often did.

"Prophecy states that on the summer solstice, if the knight whom the Dreaded Witch resides within steps foot within the Temple of Fate, Kamwawanaiyo will be released and once again seek to destroy all life in the world that doesn't bend to her will. The King has tasked me with finding this knight and bringing them to Maeven to be housed under lock and key. I know I will need the best of the best, and who's better than you?" she concluded.

Most soldiers would follow up with the usual "will you help me or not?" but Sevira knew Wilhelm well, They'd trained alongside one another and fought in many wars. They knew one another very well and there were things that needn't be said between the two. She knew he would know she was asking if he'd aid her on her mission. She wasn't going to demand he do, as she understood it was his choice. But his wisdom in battle and his sheer strength was something that could be of use if the demons of Noeven came to try and stop them from allowing Kamawanaiyo to return. Demons had always been partial to her....her dark magic calling to their most evil desires.

Elesmira had been travelling on foot from Goleta for nearly a month now. Her cart was heavy to her as she pushed it along the cobblestone streets of Meaven. She had only just arrived in the city and was in desperate need for rest, a meal, and maybe a drink. She stopped in front of a tavern with a board symbol on the door. She let out a sigh and threw up her hands in desperation; this would do for a meal and a drink at least. Maybe they could recommend an inn for her? She used her magic to shrink her cart into a tiny trinket and placed in on a bracelet on her right hand. With that done, she walked inside with the hood of her tattered brown cloak over her head.

Eyes glanced at her and then away. Guards galore sat at tables scattered throughout the room in the dimly light tavern. Candles seemed to be the only light beside the blazing fireplace near the far wall. She walked to the bar and removed her hood, her pointed ears sticking out from under her unkept and frizzy red hair, leaves strewn about it. She let out an uneasy laugh before ordering to the burly bar-keep. "I don't suppose you'd have a jug of mead and possibly a hot meal?" she asked him sheepishly.

Her eyes shifted to the end of the bar where an older man was sitting. Something was off about him, something hidden from the eyes of man. Something only those with a great talent for magic could even hope to catch a glimpse of. She walked over towards him and gave him a small bow. "Strange to see a mage from so far in this capital. Are you looking for someone in particular?" she asked sweetly.

Wilhelm listened carefully, continuing the flow of mead to their cups. He frowned, staring into his cup thoughtfully before speaking quietly. "So, if I'm understanding this correctly, Kama..kama...The Dreaded Witch is sealed within a knight. On top of that, if this knight makes it into the Temple of Fate, the seal is released and she is returned to this world. And as if this weren't an easy enough task already, we have absolutely know idea who this knight is. Bags, Sevira...why is it always the impossible jobs for us?"

He rubbed his temples, trying to figure out what would be their best course of action. Obviously a large battalion would be needed to blockade the Temple of Fate. It would cause an uproar with some of the other nations, they would believe it to be a show of force. But he knew that many Noevens revered the Dreaded Witch, he'd have to make a show that it wouldn't be easy.

Clapping his hands together suddenly, he proceeded to rummage through a pile of maps until he found one of the Wild Lands. Spreading it out, he began to point out strategic areas around the location of the temple. "Each of these three paths lead into the area surrounding the Temple of Fate, converging on this one main entrance."

He thumbed the spot, running the fingers of his other hand through his hair. "We cannot risk sending troops so close to the entrance, however, in the off chance that one of them could be the host." He paused, a look of horror in his eyes. "We have no ideas on whom the knight is, but we have to also consider ourselves to be potential hosts. If we are to embark on this journey, we'll need non-soldiers to aid us. We cannot allow ourselves to enter the Temple until we have guaranteed the host's identity."

Taking a moment to compose himself, he poured another cupful of mead for the pair. Raising his cup to his lips, he paused once more. "Wait...it's a bit too quiet, don't you think?" He pointed towards the door, where the guards were usually a much livelier crowd. "It seems we may have visitors, the drunks out there aren't making as much of a racket as they usually would." He took another drink, "Sevira, would you be so kind as to figure out just what we are expecting?" His free hand moved towards the hilt of his sword, leather hilt biting into his fingers in preparation.

"Or so we can hope, these maps can't possibly be accurate. No one has ever ventured from the depths of the Wild Lands and lived to tell the tale. I would say this map is from many failed attempts. We'd have to venture forth with caution," she admitted.

Sevira frowned when he mentioned a squadron of soldiers, "I have to disagree with you there. If we have too many men in one spot, it will give the Noevens a reason to attack. The fewer of us, the better. I know it's not what we want, but it's what needs to be done. But I do agree, we should stray away from the Temple until we know exactly who the knight is. Surely it has to be someone old, probably in hiding already. I'd say hiding out near the Wild Lands. I reckon they'd be in Erelandra or Erowyth, since both are to the closest to the Wild Lands."

He mentioned the quiet and she looked behind her to the door. No one was shouting obscene remarks so it wasn't someone dangerous....just someone not expected. She opened the door with her hand on the hilt of her sword. As she stepped forward into the main room, she noticed two strangers at the bar. A red-headed Elf girl and an old man with blue marks on his head. She didn't see them as a threat....yet...but she wasn't willing to risk it. "I think it's you they want, Brightshield," she bluntly said.
