Personality: Soft-spoken, lowblooded, and fragile-hearted, Odette doesn’t seem like the type of troll to succeed, let alone survive on Alternia. But in fact, quite the opposite has become true. Using her flaws to her advantage (and with the help of other trolls), Odette has managed to market herself successfully as Alternia’s most pitiable troll. And though she is under the guise of a reformed rebel in the eyes of the law, Odette is actually one of the leaders of the rebellion, using her newfound money and power to support their growing infrastructure where necessary.

Not just a pretty face, Odette is a skilled threat in the entertainment world. An actor, dancer, and fashionista, Odette has a knack for talent and takes great pride out of pleasing an audience. Notably flirtatious, she’s gotten very good at tailoring her movements and language to suit specific trolls, doing her best to give them exactly what they want to hear— so she can get what she wants in return. She’s also fairly skilled in battle, with powers to boot, but she isn’t personally a big fan of bloodsports so she tends to avoid them.

Although adored by her fans, Odette is incredibly insecure about herself, and has a hard time holding her own self-worth. She tends to validate her own feelings based on that of those around her, so she often relies on others opinions for emotional support. Recognized with a position of power in both the media and the rebellion, she’s as happy and proud as she’s ever been. But her emotions about herself still fluctuate greatly on an individual level between trolls.

Odette’s seen a considerable amount of violence in the sweeps she’s been alive, and she’s very decidedly against it. Raised to be meek and afraid of highbloods, she immediately likens rash and violent behaviors to that of hotheaded highbloods with no concern for others wellbeing. Instinctively, she’ll try to smooth over issues between trolls before engaging in any combat, sometimes to her own detriment. Although delicate in her views, she understands the world doesn’t often hold up to her high standards, and fully understands the need to train other trolls so they may protect themselves in dire situations.

Devout to her cause and her friends, Odette holds deep grudges for anything that’s harmed them in the past. She isn’t particularly bothered by being being hurt or taken advantage of, herself. But when someone lays a finger on someone close to her, all bets are off the table. She’s similarly protective over lowbloods, mutantbloods, and other trolls who otherwise wouldn’t be able to protect themselves, often putting her own life on the line to protect them.

In fact, Odette is hardly ever scared by putting her life on the line. She’s had a considerable amount of brushes with death in the past, and at this point she’s become numb to the fear of it. Oftentimes she’s very logical about her lack of fear, with a moirail whose powers have raised her back from the dead more than once. But deep down she desperately misses her deceased lusus, and sees death as the only way reconnect with her.

Strengths:
Smooth-Talking
Odette prefers to talk her way out of problems, and she’s understandably very good at it. A natural raised liar, she’s very good at catering her body language and dramatizing half-truths to make others believe her every word.

Devoted
Very little stands in between Odette and protecting those close to her. Fiercely loyal, she gives her all to her friends and her teams, whether it be in battle or in life. More than anything, she’s desperate to prove herself as useful to her cause.

Lithe
Fair-hearted and fragile, Odette is usually underestimated in battle. In fact she’s very capable, often using her flexibility and quick hands to her advantage in battle. Outside of battle, she’s also incredibly fast and stealthy, and is very talented in covert operations.

Flaws:
Sensitive
Though she's gotten tougher over the years, physically and emotionally Odette remains fragile in most troll's eyes. She's more easily prone to injury, and has a difficult time stomaching extreme violence.

Bottled Up
Odette suppresses her emotions to an alarming degree. It’s necessary for her work, but detrimental to her emotional health. Even in trivial matters, she’ll bottle up her true feelings until something triggers and makes her explode, often in the form of a tantrum.

Reliant
Primarily concerned with how others think of her, Odette finds herself lost and confused when she’s on her own. Without a support network she feels like nothing, and when she loses touch with another troll it feels like she loses a piece of herself.

Lusus: Odette was raised by a small rat lusus with featherbeast wings, affectionately dubbed “Swanmom”. She was passive and practically mute, traits that were passed onto Odette. The small lusus was ill and frail, but did her best to provide for Odette. As Odette aged, the roles switched and Odette began to care for her lusus in return. The two were intensely close and shared good memories, one of which was Swanmom’s ballet lessons. Odette’s obsession with the dance form stems from this.

Tragically, Swanmom was killed in the battle for Old Hemisect City. Odette was overcome with grief from the event, and it only solidified her loyalty to the rebel cause. She holds a deep grudge towards the loyalists, and a deeper one for the troll that killed her lusus.

Home: Moving on up in the world, Odette lives in a penthouse suite in the center of New Hemisect City. Her hive is shiny and fanciful, and largely an open space, perfect for parties. In a corner of the hive, she has a walled off roost for rescuing featherbeasts. There, she trains these featherbeasts to carry mail for the Phoenix Initiative.

In addition to her penthouse, Odette also has a few secret vacation hives stationed around the other cities. She uses these when she’s avoiding paparazzi, but also as safe houses for the needy (hideouts for other rebels) when she’s not in town.

Power: Aerokinesis (Agility Style A)

Discovered in a dire attempt to save her friends, Odette has Aerokinesis, or the power to manipulate wind. She typically uses it on herself, supporting her body with strong gusts to make her fly and move around quickly. Because of her speed and small frame, she becomes incredibly difficult to hit in battles. Sometimes she uses her powers on her opponents to a similarly disorienting degree.
