Rianon Sahira

Name: Rianon Sahira.
Rianon is a name shortened from a song about an old welsh witch and Sahira is Arabic for: witch, sorceress, enchantress, wise woman.
She often goes by "Ri" (Ree).

Blood Colour: Green Blood (#15963C)

Symbol: Five circles placed in a star formation. Each point on the pentagram stands for one of the five elements (earth, wind, water, fire, and spirit). The five circles represent the five points.

Personality:~Rianon rings like a bell through the night and wouldn't you love to love her~
Rianon is a bit of an odd bird as far as trolls are concerned. Raised by a lusus that bloomed from one of the oldest trees of rampant ancient growth in Four Fronds, she has been brought up on stories of magick and the life of Alternia itself. Her beliefs might be considered strange to some, but Rianon does not seek approval from her peers, especially those haughty high bloods.

Tucked away on a marshy island on the harsher side of the lake, Rianon keeps herself busy in her hive with potions, books of spells, unguents and ointments, and listening intently to the stories of Crowma. Reassured by her lusus that her innate gift of teleportation is a great magick bestowed upon her by the will of Alternia, the girl uses this ability for what she considers is the greater good.
Often times she will wander outside of her hive, deep into the forest to search for herbs and other ingredients for her concoctions. This is how she first began to run across other trolls, in the form of "big game hunts." Witnessing these barbaric "games" she was appalled that those highbloods believed they had some sort of right to cull those further down on the hemospectrum. Her lusus informed her that this was the way of trollkind, even though Alternia did not witness the difference of the hemospectrum (all trolls wound up back in the soil one way or another). Rianon refused to fall into these trappings of her kind, instead she does what she can to assist the lowbloods she finds being hunted. Either by assisting them with their health, distracting the hunters, or teleporting the hunted altogether, Rianon does what she can to assist their plight while remaining as inconspicuous as possible (going through great care to conceal her symbol and blood color). Crowma does NOT approve of this behavior, even though she secretly admires her charges bravado, it is still a dangerous, rash game for the young troll to play.

When not directly engaged with the hunting games, Rianon spends time frolicking (yes frolicking) through the woods, spinning happily around with her shawl billowing behind her. While practicing on honing her magick, Rianon will often teleport to odd locations to see gorgeous vistas not normally witnessed by trollkind. A bit of a free-spirit, Rianon wishes the same chances to witness Alternia's beauty for anyone whose path crosses her own.
She believes that ALL magick and power comes from Alternia. While space travel has its merits, she also thinks it allows trolls minds to stray from the importance of their home planet, hoping to never have to leave the comfort of Alternia herself.
With a cutting wit, Rianon has learned to defend her beliefs when faced with those who would try to cut her down to size. If it gets to the point that she knows the other party will never see her side of things she will simply storm off in a huff. Though she likes to think of herself as an individual with broad thoughts, she is also just as guilty of not listening to the opposing side of things.

Strengths:

Strong Willed:Rianon does not give up easily. She believes strongly and deeply, it takes a great deal of force to break her resolve. While she might usually come across as happy-go-lucky, when her beliefs are tested she stands firm.

Observant: With a watchful eye, Rianon has a keen sense about what's going on around her. She has learned to track both trolls and beasts alike through the woods, lending to her skills while assisting the hunted. She has a natural sense of picking up on others ticks and twitches, cluing her in on when someone isn't being honest with her or is under duress.

Compassionate:Sympathetic to those in harsher situations, Rianon is quick to come to the aid of others. This does not mean that she always enjoys helping everyone who needs it (aka, an injured or lost highblood hunter), she will still help them due to her own code of morals. Alternia gifted her with a very beautiful magick, and in turn she must use it to give back to others.

Flaws:

Rash: Rianon is quick to rush into the fray. Hot-headed she acts first and thinks later, something that one day will undoubtedly reap its own consequences. Having been lucky so far, this only fuels her rash nature.

Obstinant: Unable to stand being told what to do, Rianon is incredibly obstinate. With being such a free-spirit she can't stand being tied down, and will some times go to great lengths just to do the opposite of something she is told if it does not coincide with what she believes. This may lead to some trouble for her as she grows older.

Biased: Growing up near a resort that caters generally to privileged highbloods, Rianon has grown quite a bias against the conceited bluebloods and higher. This is a trait that she rarely recognizes in herself, but will often write off highbloods simply for the reason that she has seen many of them think the world should be handed to them on a silver platter. She is also obviously biased toward her own beliefs, finding science "cute" but not nearly as all encompassing as the great ancient power that is Alternia.

Appearance:
Rianon is whispy, and a bit tall for her age. She has long locks of frizzy, wavy hair, with bangs that curl upward. Her horns are reminiscent of elk horns, lending a more authentic feel to her nature entrenched appearance. She wears a lot of clothes that follow 70s alternate / witch style. This is a good example of what she wears as a child: a simple dress with boots, some charms around her neck, and she is NEVER without her lovely lacey shawl. Her shawl is usually in her blood color unless she's being stealthy in the woods.

Weapon:
Bolinekind. A curved blade, not to be confused with an athame, a boline is a more hands on tool. Often used to harvest herbs and carve sigils into candles. Due to its handiness, Rianon will rely on her trusty boline for her weapon.

Teleportation:
Defensive Style B - novice level
Once per battle Rianon can nullify the damage from the last hit she should have taken. Instead she teleports out of harms way much to her opponents chagrin.
Rianon considers her power a gift from Alternia, rooted in the magick of the planet, she thoroughly enjoys using this power both for play and for helping others. She would never be able to see Alternia from the same viewpoint as she can now if she didn't have her special gift, and she is thankful every night for it.
When teleporting Rianon disappears to travel through another plane in a small poof of green smoke, reappearing at her new location almost instantly. As a child, Rianon can only teleport about half a block in distance so far, having to use her ability multiple times to scale particularly tall trees.  

[Unaru]

Crowma

Crowma is a peculiar creature, given life by budding from an ancient tree deep in the woods, she takes on the appearance of a massive crow with feathers that branch into wood and blossoms. Her talons are more like roots that wrap around her perch or dig into the ground for sustenance. Much like Rianon Crowma has a deep love and respect for Alternia as a living being and instills this free-spirited view in her troll. Crowma's squawks sound more akin to the creeking and swaying of trees and branches than the call of a bird.
When not sharing stories with Ri, the two can some times be found playing games of flying / teleportation tag in the canopy of the forest at Four Fronds. Crowma is firm with how she believes Rianon should stay safe, but unless her charge's life is in danger, she will rarely intervene, instead opting for the "live and learn" philosophy.
Though when the two do fight all who around best beware. Both of them display very strong willed personas and therefore neither back down easily or quickly. On the rare occasion they do argue, Rianons marshy island echoes with the sound of trees squawking, as if a massive storm were tearing through the vicinity.

Hive

On a marshy island on the lake, Rianon has made a hive on stilts, built around a massive and incredibly old tree. The island and her hive is rather difficult to access without flight or teleportation. Smoke from various potions and fires are usually billowing out of her chimney, and the smell of herbs permeates the walls. Her lusus, Crowma, is usually found perching in the branches of this ancient tree.
