Nucleo was feeling down.

He sat in the beanbag corner of Amonee's booth with a stony stare at the TV playing repeats of old episodes. It wasn't productive nor did it make him feel any better but it didn't make him feel any worse. He wanted to avoid anything else bad happening to him so it seemed good to sit out of the way and let Bloodfest continue on without him. It was a shame, since he'd been so excited for the event earlier and yet right now he just wanted it to be over.

And he was starting to feel a little hungry.

Ⅱ Autumn Vikare

Autumn had been doing her best to keep things running smoothly in Alternia's Next Top Mo-Doll during Amonee's absence. Things had settled down some since the first few nights at Bloodfest but there was still plenty of work to be done. Models to clean, stock to organise and replenish, patrons to assist... Lorata had taken two hours off to enjoy the festivities, leaving Autumn to man the counter by herself but Autumn did not mind. She enjoyed the independence that it brought her. Even so, while things were slow it could be a little bit boring. And one could only stuff their lusus into so many outfits.

Telling Caterpal to let her know if anyone needed assistance, Autumn fluttered to the back of the booth and plopped down beside Nucleo. “She's amazing, isn't she?” she remarked, nodding at the woman on the screen. After a moment she inclined her head towards Nucleo. “Looking for inspiration for your next entry?”

"Mm." Nucleo slouched further into his beanbag, avoiding eye contact with Autumn. He didn't have any beef with her, he just wasn't feeling social right now. All he wanted was for this beanbag to open up and swallow him. He didn't care if it was melodramatic, he didn't care about anything! Brow furrowing, the greenblood's thinkpan became cluttered with negative thoughts.

"No. I'm not entering." The barista said despite the assorted piles of materials surrounding him. Several of the pieces had been cut and stitched together in strange patterns, all appearing like unfinished thoughts. Unable to focus, he'd abandoned them to stew in his own frustration and depression.

Ⅱ Autumn Vikare

“Ah,” Autumn said, as though that were the end of it. Without pressing him for details, she leaned over to inspect his patterns. Her eyes roamed over them until she found one she liked. Picking that and another one that struck her fancy, she conjoined them, scrutinising the interplay of the colours. After a moment she clicked her tongue and placed the second pattern back on the floor. Humming to herself, she perused the rest of Nucleo's patterns.

“So,” she mused aloud when silence had lapsed once more. “Amonee's been working the Nightly Grind. Did you get sick of the coffee or the customers?” Autumn teased.
