RP Name: Alyssia Night
Species : Vampire - Previously a witch.
Age : 564 (She has ruled since around 100).
She looks to be in her late teens, early 20's.
Gender : Female
Personality : Alyssia may rule with an iron fist, but sometimes she misses the world she had before taking over. She often grows bored of the everyday duties of being Queen, and has little care for her subjects. While she has an odd fascination with the unfortunate she has since disregarded that as weakness on her part and moved on. She is slowly turning in to the cold and emotionless Queen she always wanted to be.
History : Alyssia remembers little about her childhood, spare for the fact that she had a sister. At the age of 17 she ran off with a vampire that told her he could give her everything. He changed her, and they spent the next 60 years together. During this time she met a woman named Shiv, whom she befriended and later hired as her executioner. He was then brought before the royal court and killed for murder. She vowed to get payback that day, and spent the next 20 years gathering a group that would help her take down the Royal Family. She branded them all with tattoos and armed them for battle, and so she won.

While Alyssia was in power she was told by the council that she must marry for appearances sake. She fought this for a long time, not willing to do so.
While dabbling with black magic she found herself in purgatory. She met a man named Lucian there and made a deal. He simply needed to take the title of Dark King and live in the castle, and she would help him escape. This helped her maintain her power and appeased the council, although she does not allow the King to make political decisions. He is a mere pawn to her.

Abilities : Alyssia has the typical vampire powers of speed and immortality, but she also has the ability to use fire. Because of her amount of skill in it fire became known as a Dark Skill. She also dabbles in other black magic, mostly stuff that her pupils have taught her over the years.

Personality : Luna is extremely loyal, kind, and loving, she's accepting of everyone, and can overlook past mistakes. However, she can be fairly naive. Luna is charming, endearing, and can be extremely flirtatious sometimes; she's irresistible to all, everyone who gets to know her loves her. She can be very determined and extremely stubborn, and expects others to treat her the way she would them, which includes listening to what she tells them to do. Secretly, she's also very lonely, and longs to have someone at her side.
History : Luna was raised by the old council and remembers very, very little of her childhood. As the old council began to die, they raised two sisters and separated them to raise them to rule. Luna was originally meant to rule side by side with her sister, but her sister disappeared. Afraid to rule, Luna refused to be coronated until she had her sister by her side to rule with her. That time never came however, and when Alyssia took over and killed the last of the council and royal family, Luna was forced to go into hiding and secretly allow her powers to grow and gather followers. While recruiting, she fell for a fallen angel named Zero, who was actually a spy for the Dark. After discovering his betrayal during a battle, when he attacked her rather than the attacking Darks, she was forced to use her powers on the man she loved. Watching him take his dying breath, she vowed to protect her heart better. Her loneliness has now grown tenfold. Now, Luna and her group that she's gotten together is finally ready to revolt.

Personality : Sly, clever, and sneaky, Shane is the best thief there is; pr worst, depending on how you look at it. She's Stealthy, silent, and blends well into the shadows. Shay only cares for herself. If she helps someone out, it's purely for her own good. However, despite her selfish, sarcastic, and stand-offish nature, the animal personalities that she shifts into affect her too. She therefore tries to stick to animals that share her emotions.
History : Shane grew up an orphan never knowing her parents. In the orphanage, many orphans were treated horribly, beaten, starved, etc. Shay, however, seemed invisible half the time even then. Because of this, she'd often steal food from the kitchen to feed herself. She learned that she could shapeshift when she was 10, when she was caught stealing food. In the heat of the moment she ran, and transformed into a cat, highly resembling the headmistress's cat, throwing off her pursuers. When she was 16 the orphanage was visited by some of the Dark Queen's men looking for recruits, and some looking for 'company'. One of them grabbed her, was rough with her, but before he could have his way, she turned into a wolf, savagely tearing him to shreds. Terrified at the time by what she'd done and by the way her anger was uncontrollable in the animal form, she ran away during the commotion that ensued. Since then, she's embraced the anger and the savage skills she possesses, but tried to keep to herself because she felt she'd hurt anyone who got too close. She manages to live by stealing FOR people, stealing FROM people, and once or twice, just stealing people.

Personality : Shiv is almost always in it for herself. Not that she couldn't do something for someone else, but she never had to. She comes off as very coarse as that is all she knows. Her humor consists, usually, of foul language, and sarcasm.
History : Shiv never knew her parents, as she was taken from her home and raised to be a killing master. After leaving that home in disgrace, she used her abilities to get by. After a mission gone wrong, she ran away from the group hunting her down. When running, she ran into a female and her vampire boyfriend. She was there for it all, and stayed around enough to get a position in order to help get rid of her majesty's issues.
Abilities : Mastered her short swords, and can control fire/flames.

Personality : Jacobi is a joyous, yet aggressive, individual. He is generally a friendly and welcoming person, but he will never turn down a fight. He would refer to himself as "playful", though his definition of "play" has been called into question. He tends to underestimate his own strength, as well as just how strongly his personality comes on.

No one has ever accused Jacobi of being subtle. He tends to make his feelings about individuals and events well known. He also tends to feel things quite strongly- be that affection, aggression, or attachment. When set to a task, he generally seems to develop a sort of "tunnel vision" until his objective is completed

Jacobi is a loyal, driven, and prideful individual. He goes out of his way to protect those he cares about, or those who seem vulnerable, and takes offenses against them very personally.

History : Born from the unholy union of a vampire and a human, Jacobi was marked from birth to join in on the fight between light and darkness. It is unknown exactly why the relations of his mother and father were able to create Jacobi. It is generally attributed as an "experiment", though by the light or the dark is uncertain. One thing is certain: whoever conducted this failed as spectacularly as possible.

Born as Nullson- the son of no one- all memory of his undead father seemed to be expunged from his mother's mind. She was silent about the night of passion which spawned her unnatural child until she died due to complications at childbirth.

Being raised in an orphanage, Jacobi showed tendencies toward violence and aggression, but no more than your typical fussy toddler. Indeed, his life was relatively unspectacular until he reached adolescence.

As a young teenager, Jacobi took to working in his village. He was a hard-working child, strong and hardy, and his bad attitude seemed to have settled. That is, until he had an unfortunate encounter with a vampire.

Jacobi was transporting goods between two villages through the night. During the night, he was assaulted by a hungry vampire. Something about the strange nature of this child perplexed the vampire, and something about this creature awakened a fire within Jacobi. Taking a burning log off the campfire, Jacobi fought and quickly overcame the weakened beast.

Ever since that day, Jacobi had a desire to fight and a burning ambition to rid the world of the creatures of darkness. For years, he trained, driven to battle. He has pledged himself to the light and placed himself on the front lines in the war between light and darkness.

Abilities : Due to his unusual parentage, Jacobi possesses the near-vampiric abilities of enhanced strength, agility, and healing. While he is not as strong as a true undead, these abilities are noticeably above normal human limits. He also has a sort of "sixth sense" when in the presence of the undead or spirits. He cannot detect their exact location, but he can feel when one of them is near.

Jacobi is capable of drinking the blood of living creatures. While that blood is in his system, he is able to use it to enhance his natural abilities even further. However, this comes at a cost, as it begins to provoke "the beast" and wrench at his control.

Another strange quality is that Jacobi has exhibited "Dead Blood". His blood is infertile and not useful for any sort of magic or influence that requires the blood of the living. It is not that his blood is harmful or unusual, it is simply inert.

Anything Else: Jacobi has an apatite for all manner of sins of the flesh and a lust for passion almost as strong as his lust for violence.

Jacobi is burdened by something called "the beast", a holdover from his wicked patriarch. He has a constant, deep desire to drink blood and to destroy. While this is a rather weak temptation normally, either drinking blood or fatigue can lead it to surface.

Personality : reserved, quiet, straight forward, Soft hearted, but not towards the enemy.
History : Elysium's father was an angel while her mother was a human. Her father fell in love with her mother, disguising himself as human and being with his mother, creating a angel-human hybrid daughter named Elysium. She was raised in a very small village where she outlived her mother and trained to be a holy knight for a nearby Kingdom, where she moved shortly after turning 50. Soon after, the land was taken over by the Vampire army, even the small village Elysium was raised in. She couldn't stand for this, and vowed to avenger her fellow villagers. She trained even more, thinking of ways to take them out herself, until The Lights emerged, giving Elysium a chance to really participate in the battle against the Vampires.
Abilities : Massive strength, but slow speed due to large wings, is able to heal others but can only heal herself at half the power and speed. Able to fly up to 500ft. Feathers can be used as sharp projectiles.

Anything Else: Is able to retract her wings. The only time she cannot heal a wound is when it is inflicted by a blade doused in vampire blood. (If their blood mixes with hers. It can act as a poison, not killing her, but can turn her evil.)

Species : Death God (Grim Reaper).
Age : Appears to be around 23.
Gender : Male.
Sexuality : Straight.
Personality : Has a strong but warped sense of justice, Lucian is hardworking, talented, and a natural genius. He has a god-complex and cynical outlook on life, and would often look down on others who are less intelligent. Keeps a nice-guy facade on for everyone, apart from those who are devoted to him (considered to be disposable pawns). Lucian often overthinks and can be overconfident at times, yet is an amazing strategist and leader.
History :

Lucian in the Human Realm

Lucian has always been the best Grim Reaper around. Yet, he was unsatisfied with his existence, and wanted to do something more interesting.
He went to the human world and created chaos, so much that he was eventually captured by the Angels, who subjected him to eternal purgatory in the Void.
The time he spent down there made him develop a burning hatred for the Light race, and thus when Queen Alyssia and her forces took over, he was there to offer his aid.

Lucian as the Dark King

It is rumored that he and the Queen made a deal down in the Void, with him promising to marry her in exchange for her aid in obtaining his freedom, and status for his future plan of eventually wiping out the Light race.
He does not have strong loyalty toward the Queen and her forces, considering them as mere pawns to further his revenge.

Lucian and Fesle

Lucian was on one of his intel-gathering trips when he first met Fesle, who later became his right-hand man and secret advisor who he has kept hidden to the rest of the Dark court.

On his trip, a group of Angels appeared and suddenly cornered him, thinking that he was a mere human wandering around (He is usually seen in his human form). As a result, Lucian ended up having one of his "episodes," and was unable to maintain his logical thinking skills.

The Angels tried to recruit him to the Light side, and Lucian goes berserk because of his past trauma, leading him to turn into his reaper form and fight with the Angels. Since he was outnumbered and having the episode, he wasn't able to think clearly, and thus he only managed to kill off some and wound the others. He was being pursued, so he escapes to a nearby location and hides. He was wounded, and eventually, he passed out after the Angels faded out of his presence sensing field.

Fesle was wandering around the location, and found Lucian passed out in a cave. He ended up taking care of Lucian without question, basically saving his life. Lucian woke up eventually, and at first, distrusted Fesle, thinking that he may be sent by the Lights to kill him off. He masked the suspicion under his normal, nice-guy demeanor, and the two hit off. Lucian tested Fesle with loaded questions and situations where he was presented with a chance to kill off or harm Lucian the next few days, and Fesle remained friendly/loyal. Lucian was less suspicious of him now, but not completely convinced that Fesle wasn't out to get him (Paranoid King). He eventually got better, and was going to leave after exchanging good byes with Fesle, who has grown slightly attached to him. Fesle ended up following him, and Lucian was slightly annoyed at the behavior, but said nothing of it. He tried to ditch Fesle along the way back to the Dark Castle, but Fesle always found him, thinking that the former was playing a game of hide and seek with him.

The Angels who were fighting with Lucian earlier appeared on their way back, forcing Lucian and Fesle to fight as a team. Fesle ended up saving Lucian at a critical point again, and after the victory, Lucian finally decided that it was fine to trust Fesle.

He then revealed that he was the Dark King, and asked if Fesle would like to join the Dark faction and serve as their assistant cook, and his personal right-hand man. Fesle agreed, and the two returned to the castle. His role as the right-hand man of Lucian was hidden from the rest of the faction.

Lucian and the Lich

The exact details of their meeting and relationship are unknown, but it is rumored that Lucian and the Lich are not particularly fond of each other.

Lucian's hidden past

Little is known about Lucian's past before purgatory. Though, it is rumored that he was once in love with a human girl, and that led to him becoming the person he is today.

Abilities : Lucian has the ability to take human lives, as a part of his Death God capabilities. He also has telepathic and mind control abilities, as well as some expertise in dark magic. He is known to be able to speak directly in the minds of his targets, though mind control drains him, so he only uses it under extreme circumstances.

He has a special sensing ability, which allows him to observe the activities of living beings without actually being there (though he cannot do anything to them physically). Most of the time though, he uses his superior intellect to engage his opponents in a mind game that will inevitably end in their demise.

In his Death God form, he can sneak by people unnoticed, a bit like an invisibility skill but not quite (he is still visible, but people do not notice him, like passing by an inanimate object). He can also pass through inanimate objects, like walls, but no animate objects like living beings.

Appearance : Normal disguised human form.

Anything Else: As a Death God, Lucian is often seen in his Grim Reaper form with his scythe, though he has a "human-form" which he most often uses day to day.
Lucian also hates music, small spaces and being surrounded by people, and most ironically, the dark.
He is prone to having "episodes" of flashbacks from the past- during those, he goes slightly berserk, often losing his usual composed self.
Currently, Lucian has trouble sleeping at night due to the nightmares from his past- the only thing that calms him seems to be a melody that the Queen's attendant, Zoe, plays on her lyre. The melody seems to have some connection to a person named "Sal," that Lucian knew in the past.

Personality : Zoe is a serious person, however, being skilled in illusion and in charm, has created a mischievous streak. She tries to find the optimistic side of things. Zoe is highly devoted to Alyssia since she grew up hearing tales of the other previous ruler’s cruelty. She believes that anyone standing against Alyssia is evil and wants to destroy the world.
History :
Zoe's parents first joined Alyssia in her uprising against the royal family as their tribe was killed by the previous rulers in a skirmish for lands. After Alyssia was seated on the throne her family swore blood oaths to serve the queen till death. Since Zoe’s mother was a human, she died half-way through Alyssia’s rein, and at this point Zoe was 16 years of age a child in elf years and for half-elves as well.
Her father taught her magic, but soon discovered she was only gifted in illusion and charm magic. Honing her skills in these branches she focused on music and drawing to better charm and create realistic illusions.

At the age of 66 and Alyssia’s 100th year anniversary Zoe’s father died in service to his queen leaving Zoe to take up their position in accordance to their oaths. Before she could replace her father, Zoe was sent on a quest to prove her skills to Queen Alyssia. She was nearly killed do to her lack of physical skills causing her to take interest in potion and poison making. Lacking a medium to use the poison caused her to train with daggers and throwing knives for a physical attack.

Now just recently returned from finally succeeding at her quest; she is prepared to devout her life to the queen and follow any order she may have.

Abilities : Being half-elf Zoe has the benefits of higher awareness and magical gifts of the elves along with a longer lifespan than the human race. Skilled in illusion and charming magic.
Wields daggers and throwing knives for physical attack and dabbles in potion/ poison making.

Personality : Unsurprisingly, the Lich has a keen fascination with death. Most have described him as wicked, as he is indifferent to the suffering of others.
History : It is said that when someone is on the verge of death, they can feel the cold breath of the Lich inching its way through their body. Some have even claimed to see his ghostly figure hovering over towns that have succumbed to massive plagues. Despite the many tales that are told of the Lich, many are oblivious to his true identity. He was around centuries before the rule of Alyssia and Luna, and is expected to remain long after their kingdoms crumble. The Lich rules over the desecrated land that is the Lost Isles, leaving only to claim the souls of the deceased. He does not interfere with the struggles of either faction.

Anything Else: The few who have visited the Lost Isles say they can hear the spine-chilling singing of the Lich reverberating throughout the air.

Species : Half Fae half Werewolf.
Age : Looks to be about 25.

Secondary Gender: Alpha.
Sexuality : Not interested in relationships.
Personality : Leon is slightly anti-social and is mostly an indoors type of person. He often seems to be absent-minded, though he is actually always paying attention. Leon doesn't like to talk a lot, and likes to communicate by his actions and staring at the other party. He is highly intelligent though, and likes to engage in mind games with others, though he often second-guesses his own conclusions.
Leon doesn't sleep a lot, often awake and planning things.
His philosophy is: "Simple is best." Also a lover of justice.

History :

Leon as the Wanderer

After he was banished from his Fae village, Leon wandered around the lands for quite a while. Eventually, he settled down in an elven village. The people there were quite nice to him, and he got treatment that was way different from what he got in the past, but still he kept his distance from others. He often left on long hunting and information gathering trips, coming back to the village briefly before leaving again. He often gave advice to the elves on how to do various things- like how to improve crop yields and how to defend against attacks by nearby supernatural creatures.

While scouting one day, Leon noticed that Alyssia and her Dark forces were closing in on the village, for siding with the Lights in their past. He tried to warn the villagers, who tried to comfort him instead, saying that they had always had a good relationship with the Darks. He quickly devised a strategy to evacuate most of the villagers, though the village itself was still destroyed in the end.

After that, Leon went back to wandering around the lands for a period of time, before he met Luna.

Leon as the Royal Tactician

During one of Leon's trips, he came across Luna and her followers. They were captured by the Dark forces, and taken to the Dark castle, where Leon rescued them. As a result, he was hurt and out of energy to heal himself, but he came across Luna once again and was healed by her.
He stuck with Luna and her party for a bit, and then was about to depart when Luna found out that he was simply wandering around aimlessly, without a clear destination. He eventually told her his story, and to this day he still doesn't understand why he did, but perhaps it had something to do with Luna's unique charm, and she offered him a place on her court as the Royal Tactician, since he was great with mind-work.
He accepted the position reluctantly at first, but then got used to the court life. Leon developed an attachment to Luna, considering her his safe haven and oasis in this chaotic world. He trusts her completely, and will do anything to protect her.

Leon functions as Luna's right-hand man, operating everything behind the scenes to ensure that the faction survived and grew day by day. He swore to stay loyal to Luna, and remain by her side until death did them apart.

Leon and his forgotten past

Although Leon can't remember much of his childhood anymore, he remembers that he was often considered the outcast of his tribe. His werewolf father died when he was very young, so he doesn't remember him. His mother hated him, since he reminded her so much of her dead beloved. At home, his mother often avoided him, leaving him to amuse himself in his empty room, sometimes even forgetting to take care of him. As a result, Leon was forced to learn how to survive by himself at a young age.

Since Leon was a mix blood, other children did not want to play with him. Thus, he spent most of his time alone, watching the other children play. He learned most of his observational abilities that way, though he also became an extremely lonely individual. He was also not allowed to attend school with the other children, and thus he taught most of everything he knew to himself- by running various errands for people in exchange for old, dusty books that they did not want.

When he discovered that he has an aptitude for holy magic, Leon was excited. He wondered if he mastered the magic of healing, he could perhaps heal the wound in his mother's heart. So, the young boy tried his best, spending days and nights on it (this is where he picked up the habit of never sleeping). Eventually, he was able to perform advanced magic that even adult sages could not master. Hoping that he could mend the gaping hole in his mother's heart, he approached her one day, only to be shouted at to get out of her sight.

Leon left the house, and escaped into a nearby flower field, where he sat there for hours, emotionlessly. That was when he first met his childhood friend, whose name and looks he has forgotten. At first, Leon avoided him. But the stranger came back, again and again. When person saw Leon sitting alone, watching the other children play, he offered to play a game of hide and seek with him. Slowly, as he and the person spent more time together, Leon opened up his heart to him. The person became someone dear to him- his family, best friend, and childhood love.

When the person confronted his mother one day, after finding out the situation in his home, Leon broke down for the first time in his life. He never had anybody speak up for him. Leon grew up without love, and this person showered him with more love and care than he could ever dream of obtaining. That night, the two made a promise in the same flower field that they first met in. A promise of eternal trust and friendship. A promise that they will never leave each other's side.

Leon can't recall exactly what happened next. All he can remember is that the person disappeared from his life. To this day, he still wonders why he has a strange wolf pup doll. He has had it for as long as he could remember, though he doesn't recall who gave it to him, nor the reason why he never seemed to be able to abandon it.

Abilities : Leon has the ability to observe any changes in the emotional and physical states of being- he is able to tell with 100% accuracy when someone is lying or feeling a certain emotion. Leon also has the power of persuasion, to the extent of always being able to persuade others to do what he says (almost like mind control).

As he is a member of the faerie race, Leon can also fly, though he tends to like to stay inside and stare at his magical mirror, observing the activities in the kingdom.

Leon knows advanced holy magic, though he also knows a few spells there and there in other fields. Casting spells drains him fast, and so he only uses them in extreme emergencies, preferring pre-planned tactics over spontaneous combats.

As for his Werewolf side, he can shape shift into a small gray puppy or a large black-and-silver wolf, depending on the situation. His senses are extremely developed as well, though he isn't as physically able as the purebloods. He does not have the regeneration abilities of the Werewolves, and thus rely on his own healing skills or those of others to heal his wounds.

Leon is mostly in his human form, and likes to fight mental battles rather than physical ones. It takes a lot of energy to maintain his human form though, so he reverts to his Fae form in front of those he trusts. He only reverts back to his werewolf form in emergencies, and once a full moon.

Personality : manipulative and cruel but not terribly maleficent. Feels that evil is just something that happens when you do what you have to to get what you want.
History : How many ways are theyre to extend one's own life. She's been so many people since she began doing so. She thinks she may have been human or an animal once. She didn't just pretend to be anyone, she was someone completely different once upon many a time. Memories were lost, forbidden knowledge gained. Sometimes she hid in the open other times she'd lurk in shadow. As the vampires overtook the world the last seal that bound her was broken, waiting paid off once again. Vampires were kin to the demons.. they play their little games and leave you to your devices. this time she sought to build her own little piece of paradise at whomever's expense. She didn't quite care if the vampires approved or not. Enough soldiers would likely find a way to kill her, an assassin would be more annoying or some bold and gallant knight. Whatever, you only live once, and once more, and many times after that. Ambition keeps immortals alive, some call this obsession though.

She aligns with the dark because they have the power to keep her happy, she doesn't care if they light reclaims whatever, even if they succeed she believes they will just be the same fools they've always been.

Abilities :

extreme charisma - the lies sparkle like gold and the worst act becomes award worthy. She could dress in a wood crate box and act like an ogre and it would still look fabulous.

Illusion - She can warp ones senses and cause people to see, taste, feel, smell, and hear things that didn't really happen. Its inefficient to use this on any specific person directly, its better to curse an object or location and keep them in proximity of it especially if it is to last for long periods of time. Can be warded off in plenty of ways not meant to be something so troubling or strong.

Curses and enchantments - she can curse objects or give them magical attributes. Given enough time she can give them rather specific ones at that.

Drain essence/infuse with essence - she's got 101 tricks to draw youth and energy from others or to put it into something else. This is her primary area of study. She has an array of harmful magics that will typically detain or harm large amounts of people overtime potentially but wont typically just blow them away unless she is using some magical weapon designed to do so.

Magical weapon mastery - she's not a great martial artist but if youre items have magical properties she will be able to detect this and use it as easily as any demon could.. some things a demon might not even be able to touch obviously


Demon contract - she can bind people to a complicated contract based curse making her a great mediator for some things. They have to agree to the terms and it has to be sensible and clear on what is needed to fulfill it.

She will respond to the typical and folk style anti-demon stuff as long as its obvious you did it to ward her off or whatever. Lots of magical power with too many random weaknesses to list. She's on her own side first and the dark second. She sees the vampire as kin and humans as material things.

She also has gaps in her memory and will usually need a magical weapon of some sort to be a particularly strong combatant.

Species : Human
Age : Looks around 18, age unknown.
Gender : Female
Sexuality : Straight
Personality : Memel is extremely loyal and even slightly obsessive with those she cares about. She has a happy and bubbly personality, and is often very naive in situations. She doesn't pick up on social cues well and becomes easily confused. She is not very useful in combat, but Luna keeps her close by.
History : Memel was found wandering in the woods about two years ago by a light party. She had no memory of how she got there and had a very childlike attitude, showing a bit of regression memory-wise. She was taken in by Luna and became handmaiden, although she is more of a child to the leader than a help.
Abilities : Healing : While it takes a lot out of her, Memel has healing abilities that she can use on others, but not herself.

Archery : Memel has found that while she is not the best at hand to hand combat, she is very good from afar at archery.

Personality : He is a goofball and enjoys climbing anything. He is a glutton and hates wasting any food.
History : He grew up in a nomadic tribe that often relied on nature to survive. Due to this, he has a great deal of respect for nature and animals. As a child Fain suffered from a magical accident, causing him to lose his magic. Led to him studying hunting and training. Many of his tribe joined Alyssia’s group since their forests and lands were destroyed due to the previous monarchy. Fain, however, disagreed with many of his brethren and was cast out of his tribe. For the next couple of decades, he travelled from land to land learning how to survive in many different climates. During one of his travels, he came across the Light rebel group and joined them.

Mysterious Friend

Fain has a very old keepsake that is enchanted with protection magic to keep it from aging with time. The gift was given under a promise of eternal trust and friendship. This was made by the fact Fain had taken the person under his wing as they were an outcast in the tribe. He taught them basic magic, knowledge of the world, and protected them from others. In return, they taught Fain all they knew about animals and their behaviors. Fain acted as the child's family and never left their side. However, being exceptionally gifted in taming animals he was soon forcefully separated and the other banished.
It's locked away from sight as Fain is embarrassed at the fact it's a toy from his childhood. He doesn't know if that person is still around or not just that, they'll have a similar toy and a similar promise.

Abilities : Due to his nomadic lifestyle, he is a skilled hunter with the bow. His tribe mainly relied on hunting through the use of trained animals. Fain, one of the best trainers in his tribe, grew in skill over the course of his travelling, knows how to train/defend himself against a variety of animals. He also can speak a variety of languages too and can mimic certain regions dialects. He also swears he can speak to animals in their tongue, but it has yet to be proven.
Inability: Unlike most elves, Fain cannot use magic after a childhood accident. He knows spells from training to be a mage as a child but had no magic in him.

Anything Else: He has a pet falcon that he trains/ plays with daily, has a soft spot for cats, and knows how to cook and butcher animals.
