Maeve has a PhD in Microbiology, a love of bees, an addiction to wine, and a ******** of cheese. That's right. Maeve is in love with all things wine and cheese. She really should have moved to France (she speaks a fair amount of it, you know) but instead she set up shop in the quaint streets of Ashdown after establishing herself on the east coast as an expert cheese-maker and owner of a self-run farm business and making a few small (read: large) investments. Her new shop Whine and Dine, a lovely little wine bar with a constant selection of cheeses, is open day and night. And she'll listen to your woes over a good glass of red.
KISS ME HARD, KISS ME GOODBYE
Maeve fell in love too young. She gave her heart before she was ready and paid the price. A long engagement ended in flames while Maeve was pursuing her PhD and learning how to make cheese and drink wine like a professional, and the beautiful daydream she had of a house with two kids and a picket fence went down the drain.
And now she's jaded. And now she looks at all of those romance movies and tastes something bitter in her mouth.
Here's the problem: Maeve loves people. She loves physical contact. She's got an appreciation for hot men and sexy women, and she's not afraid to drink in the view. She's a one night stand waiting to happen, over and over again, because Maeve never gave up the shallow appreciation of touch and taste and a good ********. But she hates being kissed on the mouth, and she makes good on her word when she says there really are no strings attached. She'll take you out for a drink, she'll take you to bed, but she'll pretend the next day like nothing happened because she's scared of another massive c**k-up like the one she went through when she was younger, to the point that she can barely stand to kiss her flings any higher than the neck. After all, Maeve runs her life on a strictly professional level. Who has time for that sticky ******** mess called romance? No one. No one has time. But by all means, come and cry to her about it. She'd love to give you some advice. (And a hell of a lot of wine.)
Truth is, she'd like to fall in love again. But she'd rather not try.
HOW ABOUT A GLASS OF WINE... OR FIVE
Maeve always has just enough wine left for a full glass to offer to whoever is crying on her bosom on that particular day. Why cry about it when you could drink wine and cry about it?
ANYTHING ELSE?
- ******** stylish. Maeve is 5' 11", wears heels, has wavy red (seriously red) hair, and green eyes. She also has spot-on makeup and a wardrobe that looks like it walked out of a fashion show from Milan into her closet and right into a 1950's pin-up poster.
- Do not get this mixed up though - she will still punch you in the face in her six inch heels, just watch her.
- Maeve has one tattoo of a bee outlined by flowers that spiders down her spine. She is usually seen in dresses and high heels with a stylish overcoat and over-sized sunglasses outside of work.
- She speaks French and Spanish. Her mother was a French woman and she has dual citizenship (she was born in Orleans, France).
- Maeve has a daughter that is currently living with her parents on the West Coast while Maeve gets everything settled in Ashdown. (Her daughters name is Lily, she is nine and cute af. She wants to study dinosaurs when she grows up.) Maeve had her very young and her parents stepped in to help. Now Maeve is trying to get everything settled so she can provide her daughter with a good life.
- Despite what a lot of people might think, Maeve actually bought a small piece of farmland property right in Ashdown and drives her a** to work every day. She has a coop of chickens, a pepper garden, a handful of angry strays, and a parakeet. She's looking to get some cows after renovations.
- Maeve loves honey sticks. It's really hard to find her without some stashed away in her Burberry tote bag. She's a glutton for sweet things. Really, she is.
- Maeve, however, is also not afraid to get her hands dirty. She will punch you in the face if you're being an a*****e.
