I have a question,

Since the main color of my marines is white i was wondering what
the best way is to paint said white.

so far I've been using the white primer and simply kept that as my
white armor parts but i also want to try working my white up from say
gray-light gray-white.
any ideas on what would work best?

From what some have said, a very light gray should work. You will have to use multiple coats of white.

If you hate yourself or feel like driving yourself insane you can use a darker primer first and work your way up from there using really, really thin layers of grey, working your way up from a dark base colour all the way up to white until it looks good.

The method shown here is easier, faster and more forgiving though: https://youtu.be/it6sAE-YBDc

All you need is:
- white primer
- Ulthuan Grey
- Agrax Earthshade
- White Scar

That technique looks reasonably "easy" enough.

been trying something similar only with a more blue-grey fenrisian color and drakenhof nightshade. ninja

Curious to see photos of what you come up with. smile If you have an airbrush, you could also do some low-lighting with a very pale gray to give it some depth.

It's a bit hard to make out due to the fuzzy pictures, but they look good! The colours do not clash and it's a nice use of that Grey Knights bit.

hehe yeah..sorry for the potato quality sweatdrop

Grey knight dude's backstory is he is the last of his detachement and can't return to his chapter so he joined my wolves as a lone wolf. ninja
