Did gay guys kissing and doing. . .other things. . .creep you out, even a little?
I know it did for me, but I got used to it and now, here I am.
I'm curious, because I am off the opinion that the reason most women aren't into yaoi/BL is because it's strange to them and thus creepy the first time around, and gets avoided after that.

Nope not really. I wasn't creeped out or anything mostly. o_o I was....11 when I first found out/got into shounen ai and yaoi and such.
Tho on the other hand -now- I do get creeped out with the rather mature stuff...Idk why either, I kinda went into a "oh no, it's bad I have to hate it" thing for awhile nearly two years ago tho, I think that might of been why however, so in a sense I had to learn to love yaoi and all that all over again.

Hmm...I can't really say I ever saw it as disgusting. I just went with what the majority of the crowd said, so I made fun of it.
But I got into it when I was like 12. >.O So by then, I had matured enough not to.

Nope. I was around 11, and I stumbled across some BL. I was shocked for a few seconds, and I was kind of all 'wtf?' but then once my brain processed it I decided I liked it. I was never creeped out or disgusted by it.

I was raised pretty open minded. Hell, if I were any more open minded, things would start falling out (I think they already have eek ). There are a lot worse things in this world for me to be creeped out by and gays was never one of them.

Well...to be completely honest, yes, it did make me a little uneasy...
Mostly because I grew up in an area where 'gay' meant 'effeminate' and 'weak'.
Anything that was bad was deemed to be 'gay'. It was an insult. So, you could guess how...weirded out I was when these two guys were holding hands in public!

I was even more freaked out when I realized I wanted to do that one day. o_o;;

I never really thought about it. Most of the friends I've ever had have been gay/bi boys, so I've been pretty comfortable with the topic for as long as I can remember.

I can't say I ever found it disturbing, I never really concidered it until I was about 11. When I read my first yaoi fanfiction I thought it was a little strange but I thought about the author's reasons for putting the pairing together and I was just like 'Oh okay, that makes sense.'

I don't think I've ever found it disturbing or gross, I didn't like it as much as I like it now, but I kind of liked it when I first encontured it.

Hmm, let's see. At first, I didn't really like yaoi, but a few of my friends were like obsessed. Maybe that's why I didn't like it, I don't really know, maybe it was the fact of picturing two guys kissing, and everything, made me uncomfortable and I found it very disturbing. Who knows, that was like in 8th grade.
I started liking yaoi before shounen-ai, the first time I really started liking it when I saw a YamixYugi picture in someone's signature in the AMC, and I thought that was hot. My yaoi obsession began to develop throughout the time when I was on Gaia, so I started guild hunting for yaoi guilds. I found the original offical yaoi/shounen-ai guild and joined. From that point on, I've started loving yaoi, and different kinds of yaoi, more and more. 3nodding
