Once a week we will be having an official guild announcement for pride owners to post important information and updates concerning their prides. This information should be posted here in this thread, but please read the following rules and guidelines.
 Rules and Guidelines
A guild announcement will be posted once a week, on Saturday. (Please be patient if it is late - uncontrollable circumstances can and do happen.)
Pride Owners have until the day before (Thursday) to post any important information that pertains to their pride here.
Only one post per pride a week. We're aware that people forget things, but multiple posts for a pride would be very messy.
Only one pride owner should post this information.
You must discuss the announcement with all active pride owners before sending it.
Announcements for multiple prides can be posted together, but use separate forms for each please.
Do not include links in your announcement! If you must point to a specific thread, make an announcement in your pride subforum and mention that in your pridal announcement. Links will no longer be put into the pridal announcements.
On Friday, all the info posted here will be gathered and put into the announcement.
Dos and Don'ts
Things that will not be announced:
Any requests for new members. All prides are looking for new members and any simple 'We still need new members!' or anything similar will not be posted.
Birth announcements. There are a lot of SoA breedings and it is unnecessary to post each one. If the birth pertains to a specific plot development, then it can be discussed with us, but generic birth announcements can be posted in the pride subforum.
More may be posted here in the future. Please understand that we reserve the right to tell you something may not be posted.
Things that can be announced:
New rules or pride changes.
Reminders for people to look at old rules or pride information.
Changes in IC or OOC leaders.
Pride contests.
Important pride plots and important IC information the pride should be aware of.
You are not limited to these things, but they are just examples of what you can do!
If you have information you think needs to be posted in the weekly pride announcements and have read all this information, then fill out the form below and post it in this thread.

Announcement:
The pride is still awake! We will be under going a major overhaul and a new meta is in the works with prizes! Here are the announcements!
OOC #1: Will be in search of a new co-owner. I am planning on trying for this spot to also have an ic- character be gifted to you. Please be patient as I try to obtain an ic, although bringing your own character would be awesome!
OOC #2: Graphics will be redone, and will be featuring art of it's members, so if you have not already posted your member, you will not have a chance at free art nor your character being featured. Also the member's list will be redone. To feature you to be in charge of updating your members, if the member is not listed in the master list, they can not breed in to the pride certs!
OOC #3: New ranks will be highlighted and the Handbook will be rewritten with graphics and helpful tips to get you started if you want to be an active member. This also includes the missions thread being spruced up, featuring the ability to obtain unique graphics/art for your member!
OOC #4: Incase you haven't seen! The plot recruitment thread, and the missions thread have been updated to give inspiration to members for writing prompts and how to be included in the community. Although the plot recruitment is slightly outdated, you can use the information of past events to give a little more life to your characters backgrounds!
OOC #5: The Meta will feature an activity raffle and activity auction! The rps that will be usable, ONLY the ones that are IN the new SoA Guild forums!
IC #1: GodMother Emi, Queen of the pride has brought in an accepting air while in her reign. Like the Godmother before her, she ushered in a new practices and ranks, but more importantly how to continue her legacy. While the last noted festival of all of her children leaving to find their inner voices and inner strengths, she also hoped for their safe return. Even sending the elite to monitor them. This is what we know.
- The first one to find their way back was Ami
- Emi's other children have been MIA ( If you want this updated before the meta, pm me! )
Due to the nature of which it stands, Ami has been officially named Heir. With that, although she is named Heir, she does not possess too many powers. Instead, she and all of her siblings upon their return will go and live amongst each of the Job families before the godmother passes the torch to the one whom is worth the true voice of the pride's people.
IC #2: Those of the Knowledge Family during Emi's reign are held with prestige. Ambassadors and all have been sent to different prides and are encouraged to seek trade/safe routes/and find allies. All this will be an emphasis in the upcoming meta! So talk to other prides!
IC #3: Those of the two-part family ( blessed family/destiny family ), will be BIG contributors to the meta-plot in the making, so if you want apart of that, PM ME! As it will be assumed their influence in the plot!
Note: If you are finding the terms' family and all these new terminology confusing, please take a look at the updated member's list! There you can find the updated names for cubs etc, and the updated names for members, and where YOUR member lies within. Although your birth family will always be your family, as your member picks a job, they will be ushered in to their new job families! We will update you again soon! Thanks for sticking with us through the down time!

IC:
A landslide-induced earthquake that closed the celebration for the completion of the Trial of the King and the selection of Itiri as the new Onyeisi has left the young Nchekwube in a coma and the Amusu Isiike dead. While the remaining Amoosu flounder to put their ducks in a line after the loss of their leader, Itiri has settled in in his role as chieftain.
But all was not over.
Nchekwube has woken from his long coma, speaking of vivid and unusual dreams. Word spread that he was seen hurrying from his family's living quarters in search of the Onyeisi. The subject of their meeting made its way to the Amoosu and, first in the form of whispering rumor and then outright announcement by the chieftain, the information has been made public to the rest of the N'ezi-ozu.
It was visions that Nchekwube was seeing in his dreams. These dreams were not just glimpses of what was happening at the present or even in the future, but glimpses into the souls of those around him. Confirmed in quiet meetings with the Onyeisi and the Amoosu, Nchekwube is said to be a seer of true nature, seeing what a lion is at their heart. The first use of Nchekwube's new ability was to confirm that the rogue lioness Imani and her cubs did indeed belong among the N'ezi-ozu, specifically in the Uju family, putting an end to the debate of whether or not the rogue lioness belonged.
There is now quiet chatter of quiet Nchekwube perhaps being brought into the ranks of the Amoosu because of his abilities. On top of this, it doesn't seem as though Itiri is quite done bringing change to the land of the Death Keepers. It was discovered that a pathway into the lands outside the caldera has been opened as a result of the aforementioned earthquake. Onyeisi Itiri doesn't seem too concerned with the prospect of the pride being opened to the outside world…
OOC:
Imani and her cubs (that can be finally officially born!) are now an official part of the pride as members of the Uju family.
Utilizing Nchekwube's ability to hopefully quell the pride's uneasiness with outsiders, Onyeisi Itiri plans on opening the borders and admitting worthy rogues into the pride. This means our first round of joining is now open! See the "Joining" sticky for more information.

IC:
Recently, the new king of the Bahari'mtoto, Shui, disolved the agreement between his father, Ram, and the prior Gypsy King, Riddle Mouth. The method this happened has ruffled the current Story Keeper, Puzzle, who has henceforth called off the agreement he himself made with Ram. Kizingo'zaa lions are now encouraged to spread insanity to the Bahari'mtoto any way they can, but are not to attack anybody. It must be kept non-violent, as violence begets violence!
There's whispers, though...
And not from the pridal lions! Unrelated to the Insanity Brew, there's whispers in the winds, strange happenings everywhere, the sun blinking in and out in the middle of the day... Is the pride hallucinating all a the same time, or is this a sign of something bigger?
OOC:
A reminder with the coming Mix and Match month, and a general reminder for breeding - While the Kizingo'zaa has a blanket permission for breeding, your owner's list post MUST be up to date with all possible images! If you're waiting on a cert, a link to the post suffices!
The Ranks list has been updated! Remember, if your lion's rank no longer exists or otherwise has changed name, you are NOT required to change rank or get a new cert! They are grandfathered in!
There is a Meta-related ORP going, you should join it! Hurry, though, it won't last long!

With tensions between Bahari and Kizi running as high as they've ever been, there's conscious efforts on both sides to relieve some of it via meetings and discussions between Muhali and Shui. It's unsure where any of this will lead, but most are aware that change is coming, and it's coming fast.
OOC:
We are not in the habit of making announcements for the future, but this is an instance where we felt people needed a bit of forewarning of things to come before we actually implement them. Both in case you feel this will no longer be a pride fit for your lion, or in case you have a lion you'd like to smuggle back in to experience the plot and change as it unfolds over the next few weeks. Things will be listed below in bullet points for easy reading:
1. The insanity blessing is going to come back full force. This means the Muses will come back, and also means that any lion within Kizingo'zaa will be affected to some degree, no exceptions. There has been extremely strange misinformation on what the muses are and what they do - by the time this announcement goes through, we will have updated all information threads in the subforum - READ THEM, PLEASE! It has a lot of updated information, and notes about how to rp the Muse-blessing, etc.
2. We are overhauling the rules, the history, the pride information etc, to pre-gypsy king days and setting back the information the pride had before it was overhauled (Yes, we did in fact have the information saved thanks to a sweet, kind soul that helped!).
3. This means the Ranks will change again (I'm sorry about this guys, but we'd like to push things one way or another and not stay as some weird hybrid of both pride concepts). Overwhelmingly, people seemed to prefer the Age of the Muses, and so do we as pride owners, so that's what we're going with.
4. The conflict with the Bahari set up a perfect time to allow us to change leaders for the pride - icly, Puzzle and and Starfire will step down from the Keeper roles, and some cubs will be trained to take the position by the older, retired leaders of the pride, from the time of Muses. OOCly, this has all be worked out with respective owners.
5. There will no longer be a need for inside and outsider names - your lion will just have 1 name, though they are welcome to keep outsider names as nicknames or be called that by friends or whatever. It just won't be on the cert anymore.
6. The Bahari conflict WILL be, in time, resolved, and while IC tension my persist for a while, it will culminate in families being able to cross borders freely once more to visit each other, do not worry. Bahari that visit Kizi should be mostly unaffected by the Blessing unless they stay for more than a day - in which case, they are free to refer to our stick on how the muses should be heard. Remember guys, as far as anyone in concerned, no one is insane - to them it's just magic or spirits or something like that!
7. The Brew will mostly vanish from use entirely (There is no longer an IC reason for it). Brew Mistress is the only lioness that can make it, and she plans on keeping the secret between her and whomever apprentices to her. Brew will stay out of Kizingo'zaa lore but you're allowed to use it icly - make sure it does not leave Kizi premises in any way, shape or form.
As a closing note, please be aware that while the information threads have shifted to reflex the changes upcoming to the pride, they are not yet there icly - we just wanted to give people ample time to read up and prepare.

IC:
With a new change in leadership, and the return of the Muses, which every member can once again hear, the tides have turned, though... not in favor of everyone. There are those unhappy with the changes, even if older lions seem to be content with a return to normality. The Bahari while still miffed, seem to have come to a very tentative agreement and though still on edge, tensions are cooling down on both sides of the Rift.
Only time will tell if the changes are for the better, or for the worse.
OOC:
With all the Chaos going on the past year, both OOC-ly and IC-ly, it has been a touch difficult to shift the current pride political climate away from Shandor-days and into what it was originally meant to be. However, after much work, we've gotten to a point where we feel like shifting the pride entirely back to what it was originally meant to be, pretty much cold turkey, is going to be the best way to go about things. The Kizingo'zaa were never meant to use the word 'Gypsy' in their culture - they are vaguely inspired by romani culture, but this was meant to be a lose thread, and we certainly did not wish to use the term of slang when we started the pride. It deviated in many ways, away from the original idea, and we want to just shove it back into slot. This, icly, means several things.
- Muses are back in full swing. Everyone in the territory will be affected. Those that do not like idea of muses or don't want to be affected should leave the pride.
- There are new leaders. Chi'pya, Grandaughter of Pride founder Misae, will be Song Keeper, and Hadithi, old pride founder and mate to Misae, will take the role of Story Keeper until he can find and train a new candidate. He's old, but wise, and will find someone as soon as possible.
- Brew is entirely outlawed. The muses were never meant to be treated as drug induced hallucinations - they are a part of a religion, in a way, for these lions. Mystical, and they feel they are REAL aspects of life, not hallucinations. Only Brew Mistress (or her apprentice) should know the recipe, and no lion within Kizingo'zaa will be allowed to consume it in the territory or make it. This is one of the terms the new leaders of the Kizi have hashed out with the Bahari.
- There will be NO hostility towards the Bahari. For now, they are to be left to their own devices, and if you wish to visit, you are allowed to do so so LONG you follow their rules and do nothing to shame the Kizi; if you are found to be problematic to either pride and their fledgling alliance, you may face consequences! Know that whilst in the Bahari lands, you will be watched like a hawk, and if you wish to set foot in their land, you must put up with it. The terms of the new alliance are strenuous at best, and as such, there is no real 'free passage' between the prides as it used to be, as of yet, please be patient!
- ICly, the the Demon pride is at the Kizi's borders. Members are not to be hostile towards them in any way, shape or form. They are allowed to be wary of them due to stories and hearsay, but should not poke the dragon, per say.
- Gypsy names are no longer a thing at all. Please do not request certists tag your lions with the old certs, etc. In the same vein, please remember that 'Royal blood' has no meaning in this pride. There are no princes, no princesses, and no real blue blood here!
There is a new Meta thread on the way to be posted as I type this announcement up, and you are welcome to join. It will be a small scenario where the pride can get together and discuss the future, as was meant to be done by pridal lore (after all, the Keepers are not traditional kings and queens - they are the voice of the people in a crisis, but don't have traditional power).
