They are the keepers of past events. They seek out other prides to learn about their history, while keeping their own pride a secret in fear of being attacked. The pride is non-aggressive, but they are not overly welcoming of newcomers. Originally the pride was lion dominate, with other felines took more servant like roles. After the destruction of the original pride and the creation of the new, current one, the pride members became more accepting of non-lions. Pride/Pack History: Once Anvesana Caritra was open to all seeking information. The pride members were proud of the history they gathered on outside prides and gladly shared their information with those willing to provide information of their own pride with them. However outsiders started becoming more hostile. Some prides would demand to know the weaknesses of their enemies, others wanted any information of their pride removed from the archives. Anvesana Caritra became a much more private pride after an attack on their leader. Outsiders were no longer welcomed in the pride. Some outsiders felt like Anvesana were keeping secrets so they could go on the offensive and they launched an attack on the pride. The pride members of Anvesana Caritra were not ready for the attack on the pride. The majority of the pride died, leaving only a handful of pride members left including the pride's leader. They took what they could and ran to the desert in hopes that none of their assailants would follow them.
The small group reformed the pride, being extra cautious of who they brought into the pride. Slowly their pride grew, but they kept their stories to themselves, not wanting their home destroyed again. Because of their few numbers, they allowed trustworthy leopard, cheetahs and hybrids to join their ranks.

In Ancient times, the world was void, and water. In this void, a great kami came to the world, and spied the vast emptiness - and chose to act. The stars were first, placed in the sky, followed by the moon and the sun. Next was the land - islands at first, and then main lands, forming the earth. Then, the great one birthed of itself the first kami, the gods of their new realm. Finally, the great one made the mortals, or so it was told.
For countless generations the mortals roamed and squabbled, pitting the kami they followed against one another as they fought amidst themselves. One Kami, troubled by the fighting, decided to find peace, and descended as a mortal, and stole to the other side in the night, selecting a male of kind eyes to sire her mortal children.
When this Great Kami returned to her followers and gave birth to cubs obviously born of a lowly male of their enemies, there was shock; until she spoke it was time for peace. Her eldest son, named Jimmu, soon became respected as he grew -- and known more for his compassion to all. Jimmu bargained for peace among the tribes fighting, and brought them together to one land, considered consecrated by the kami. And here, the seer declared the kami bade the pride live as one people. The people, in return, chose to declare Jimmu the first King, and his brothers and sisters princes and princesses. When Jimmu died, there was a cave his body was placed in, and the den consecrated as a shrine holy to Jimmu, believed to live on as a kami himself in his own bones.
As time passed in the pride, the differences that brewed war melted into a culture that unified and strengthened the pride, and those whom joined it. They came to respect those whom embodied honor and goodness and eschew those whom destroyed and wrought misery, and knew prosperity for their choice.
It was during the reign of Lord Kaien that the prosperity known by the Doman pride was due to change. During his reign a group of rogues fleeing plague and despair came to the Domans seeking a haven - sanctuary. The king, wishing to help, took them in, welcoming them to stay in his den as private guests. However grateful, the pride was struck by plague. The pride grew ill and the illness spread, forcing Kaien to send his only child, Hien, away. Kaien, whom stood as a beloved king, did not survive. When the majority of Doma lie dead, it seemed the remainder, as the prince, scattered.
But the Doman ways were not lost. Early in Kaien's reign, a young female, running away from home, stumbled on the prince, and was brought before Kaien. Hearing of the girl's home and her reason to leave - to find help for her people - Kaien adopted the female as his own. The female, known then as Laif, was taught as any Doman; raised as one of the royal litter despite her external birth. As the pride then was prosperous, as a very young adult, Laif confided in her kin her wish to retrieve her own kin, and to bear them unto Doma for their freedom.
Laif did not return until after the plague wiped a majority out - and after many and more fled. She had been unable to find her kin, hearing only tales of her half siblings, and saw to the dead of Doma, giving their last rights. Finding her adopted brother missing with his retainer, and finding Lord Kaien dead, the female chose not to leave Doma to ruin - instead accepting that if she was to save her family, discovering her adoptive father's form meant the gods, the kami, wished for her to serve her duty as the princess of the Domans - to rise as the pride Shogun until Hien was found dead or alive, until the pride restored, and, if need be, until divinity was returned to the royal house, and so, turned to begin seeking to rebuild her chosen home, by restoring both old houses whom scattered, and those anew.

Pride/Pack History: Ages ago, in a time before their current history can even recall, a small group of traveling rogues stumbled upon the maze at the center of a strange, eerie forest. It was so spectacular that they believed it must have been something created by the gods and thus, something that could not be ignored Each of them tested their wit against it and although it took some of them several tries to enter, many of them made it into the safe and secluded valley on the other side. The first eight to pass each founded a house and between them, they elected their pride leaders into place. Believing only in wit and strength, they have fought for the right to lead their pride and their houses ever since. Those that did not make it through were claimed by the magic of the forest and their once ties have long been forgotten.

Lead by their Queen, the pride is ruled by powerful female warriors who protect everyone and ensure the tranquility and prosperity of the lands. Everyone lives in peace and unity amidst the vines and trees. Striving to be in harmony with their environment, they are mindful of what they take from the rainforest and are careful not to over hunt prey animals. Pride members spend much of their time meditating, training their bodies and minds, and building strong bonds with one another. Due to their spiritual nature and their value for life, the warriors will only engage in battle if they are threatened. Though they prefer not to kill, they will do whatever it takes to protect their home. Anansi was once a princess in her homeland, until one day everything that she knew and loved was lost. Her home, her family, her people, everything was gone. Distraught, she ran away and sought refuge deep into parts of the rainforest that she had never been before, far from her home, in hopes of finding a safe place to live for a while. Unfortunately, there was untold danger lurking in the trees. The area where the Indlovukati currently resides was controlled by a violent gang of males who kept lionesses as slaves. Females were only allowed to hunt and bear cubs for the dominant males, they were otherwise kept guarded in dark caves. Any female that stepped too far out of line was at risk of being injured or killed. The lionesses feared the males and were mostly meek and subservient to them.
One day, Anansi was discovered on her own and was captured and enslaved by the males that controlled the area. When she was brought to their home, she was horrified by the way the lionesses were treated having come from an all female pride. Anansi knew she had to fight back against her captors or she would live the rest of her life as a slave, and being a princess at heart, she couldn't have that. Anansi tried to teach the lionesses that they were strong and could defeat the slavers by working together. Some of the lionesses still cowered in fear, but many felt empowered by Anansi's words of encouragement. She managed to gather together all of the lionesses who were willing to fight against the males alongside her and started a rebellion.
Many lionesses died during the chaos that ensued once the females began to fight for their freedom. Nonetheless, the lionesses won the battle and defeated the males under Anansi's leadership. Afterward, the lionesses claimed the lands where they were once enslaved as their home. The males that were not killed in battle ran from the land in shock of the collective strength of the females that had once been subservient to them. Afterwards, Anansi took the time to teach the lionesses how to fight and defend themselves so that they could protect each other from harm. She also taught them not to fear males, for they were weak minded and sought to control females because of this weakness.
The lionesses asked if Anansi would stay and continue to lead them and teach them to harness their abilities. Having developed a deep sisterly bond with them, Anansi was happy to find a new home in the rainforest with her new family. Still, she hoped to one day find her original family from the Amazons. Over time, Anansi developed the warrior way of life so that the females would never have to fear for their lives, and their new home would forever be protected and safe from harm.
Overtime, Anansi came to understand that in order to attain true harmony, males and females would need to find a way to coexist peacefully. She was initially reluctant about this as she had never lived with males willingly and it would be a huge change in her original philosophies. However, she believed that if males were trained correctly by their mothers and if they experienced an abundance of love from females during their vulnerable years, then they would grow up to become respectable adult males who did not desire conflict. Anansi believed that it was possible to raise boys who fundamentally respected females and would not cause them harm. She wanted to make a place where females and males lived together on one accord without conflict. Though she knew that she would never truly trust males with leadership and power, she still believed that they could be productive members of society.
It then became Anansi's goal to create a home where everyone lived in love and trusted each other with one another's lives.
The Indlovukati lived quietly in their pridal lands, staying hidden amongst the tall trees and lush foliage. Anansi had successfully achieved a harmonic way of life between females and males and everyone was thriving because of it. The guardians kept a sharp eye on the borders to make sure they stayed safe from the outside world while the warriors maintained civility between pride members. The Indlovukati was in a state of peace. Warriors were spending more time in meditation, honing their mental and spiritual strength and less time training their physical bodies. A state that distracted them and lowered their collective guard long enough to be completely unaware of the fact that they had been discovered.
A traveling rogue band of lions and leopards had stumbled upon their lands after a few of their members trailed some of the younger males who'd been out hunting. They were many and they were hungry and desperate. What they lacked in finesse and technique they made up for in speed, brute strength, and shear numbers. They launched their attack quickly without planning or lingering long enough to be found out by the pride's guardians who had been spending more and more time within the lands as opposed to at the borders.
The warriors put up a strong and brave fight and ultimately defeated the invaders after a long and hard battle, but the pride was still left ravaged in the end. There were those who were killed defending the pride, and there were many who fled in order to save their own lives. Families were broken apart and lands were devastated. Anansi's heart could not have been more heavy after all they had worked for. Still, having been through terrible times before, she persisted. Anansi would not give up their home. Gathering the few that were left, she dedicated herself to the task of rebuilding the pride.

Brief Description of your Pride/Pack: Surrounded by the Great River, the Mto’Mkuu are a pride of hunters and trappers situated deep within the jungle. Their way of life centers around capturing Kipenzi (pets), and using them to battle each other in tournaments. Familiar Rules: All familiars are allowed, but are considered Kipenzi (pets) and can only have a low rank. It is assumed OOCly that they have an owner, even if they're not bonded to a SoA. Any Extra Information: The cert will need a "Faction" section to it. There are three factions that a SoA can be put into:
Ruby | Known for their strength, the Ruby faction is the powerhouse of the pride. Bingwa often emerge from this group, due to their prowess in battle, and you will usually find a Ruby lion at the forefront of Kipenzi fights.
Sapphire | The Sapphire faction relies on defense and strategy above all, and as such, Tetea and Shauri are common around here. They use their brains to take on a challenge, but do clash with the Ruby faction from time to time.
Topaz | Lions from the Topaz faction are normally the more easy-going of the group, usually choosing to have a Tamaa over a Pigana. That said, they are well known for their speed and agility, and can be a fierce opponent in a fight.
Pride/Pack History: The history of the Mto’Mkuu is a simple one, though perhaps not the most glamorous. It all began with a single lion, a loner with no name or home to call his own, settling within the jungle. Wandering his new home one day, the rogue male discovered a leopard stuck beneath a fallen log. Taking pity on him, he freed him from his “cage”, and the leopard swore fealty, “Under this starry sky, I swear my life to you.” The lion laughed, but agreed to let the leopard trail behind him.
Then a young lioness journeyed into the jungle, bringing alongside her a leopard slave from a previous pride. She brought with her strange words and cultures, but the male was enamored. His attempts to court her though... didn’t go well.
Finally, one day, the female eyed up this male and his leopard, before challenging him for the right to live in the jungle and to become mates -- by having their leopards fight for their honor. The male was surprised as she explained this custom of her former people, but the leopard was intrigued. Offering himself up to this challenge, the two leopards clashed in the stead of their lions.
And thus, the first Kipenzi fight within the Mto’Mkuu occurred, and alongside it, the founding of the pride.

They hunt capture others to use as slaves to drink from and seek outsiders to join their ways. Familiar Rules: All familiars are allowed. They must be bonded to a regular member. Cert Background Large Image:Background Pride Symbol for Cert:Symbol Any Extra Information: n/a Pride/Pack History: Before Ezrasia and her group founded the pride the land was rumored to be haunted. There were whispers about the site being an old, bloody and gruesome battle ground where brother fought brother. Legend had it that on a full moon that the river would run red with the blood of the lions that died there. On windy days it is said that you can hear the voices of the fallen. Ezrasia was intrigued by the stories and decided to make the land her home. She encouraged the stories to spread and declared the area as the land of the eternal blood.

A place where they can raise their families and keep them safe from the work that they do. The pride lends out it's strength and expertise for a price, and you'd best be prompt with your payment. While wandering the vast African savannah, two creatures happened to meet, completely by chance. Siyo'Jini had been on his own, at the cusp of adulthood, and struggling to survive the unforgiving wilderness. He had no experience with hunting, and was finding the task rather daunting as his belly remained empty. Too socially awkward to ask for assistance from any rogues he managed to come across, and mostly avoid, his days dragged on in unending hunger. That is, until he managed to stumble upon a leopard's stashed kill, hastily pushed under some brush and seemingly forgotten. Siyo'Jini could barely believe his luck! Half-starved, he eagerly pounced on the free meal, only to find himself pounced upon in turn.
The brief struggle between Siyo'Jini and Thayiga'Thunzi drained what remained of the lion's waning energy, and the adolescent leopard was in no better shape. For a moment they simply stared at each other in bitter rivalry, before the meal's actual owner came back to chase the two youngsters away. With little to no success on their own, Siyo'Jini and Thayiga'Thunzi formed a tentative partnership to regroup and overpower the adult leopard that had chased them away. From that moment on, the two decided that they were better off together then they were alone.
In the years that followed, Siyo'Jini and Thayiga'Thunzi grew accustomed to stealing food from rogues as a means to keep themselves fed. It was easier than learning how to hunt for themselves, and their prowess in combat and cooperative team work grew exponentially. Eventually they came across a distressed lioness, who promised to hunt a meal for them if they could chase away a lion that had been stalking her for days. Siyo'Jini was dubious at first, not trusting she would do as she said, but Thayiga'Thunzi saw an opportunity to make a name for themselves out on the savannah. He told Siyo'Jini of his plan, and the young lion hesitantly agreed. It wasn't hard to find the male that had been stalking the lioness, and he wasn't too keen on letting two little upstarts chase him away. What followed was a difficult battle that left both young males relatively hurt, but they had managed to chase away the older lion. Upon returning to the lioness, she was so grateful that she did in fact hunt for them, fulfilling her promise for a job well done.
After that experience, Thayiga'Thunzi actively looked for similar opportunities, with Siyo'Jini quickly realizing the genius of his leopard friend. Together they developed a system of agreements that they called contracts, and for the most part everyone they entered into an agreement with came through on their part of the bargain. Until one day, after a particularly difficult job, a small pride defaulted on their contract and refused to pay what they owed. Siyo and Thunzi were at a loss for what to do, and were chased from the small pride's lands. Word spread throughout the savannah like wildfire, and soon more and more of their contracts were defaulted on.
It was at this point that Siyo'Jini took matters into his own claws. If they were going to ever regain their reputation and be taken seriously again, he needed to do something drastic. With a brief explanation to Thayiga'Thunzi, the young lion set off for that small pride's territory with Thunzi in tow. The two managed to fight their way to the center of the small pride where Siyo challenged the leader, an older male lion, to a duel. Seeing how hurt and weak Siyo already was from fighting their way to him, the leader accepted the challenge.
The following battle was brutal and bloody, as Siyo used every ounce of strength he could muster to bash the other male to the ground and pummel him with consecutive, unrelenting blows. When he was certain the leader did not have the strength to get up Siyo paused to offer him the one chance that would save his life. Pay what was owed. Fulfil the terms of the contract and all would be forgiven. When the leader again refused, Siyo took it upon himself to end the other male's life without hesitation. Word of this also spread like wildfire, and Siyo worked to keep up their reputation as mercenaries from that moment on.
Eventually Siyo and Thunzi took on much larger jobs, with a lot more risk, and they began to seek out others like them. Lions, leopards, cheetahs, and even hybrids were welcomed into their small mercenary band with no prejudice against species or gender. They traveled the savannah until the group became so large that they needed to settle into a home territory where they could take time to relax and raise families in relative peace, while also being accessible to potential interested parties.
