There was darkness, and only darkness within the small one, then a light came. Brighter and brighter it approached until there was a fire in the small ones mind's eye. Eyes flickered open and tried to focus, however how much she tried to focus her eyes the world around her remained blurry. The images she saw was nothing but blobs of black and white. Trying to make them something more only caused her to have a slight headache so she gave up on it. There was nothing she could do about it, it was the way she was woven it seemed. No matter it was fine she would just have to adjust to this part of her.

Like most she woke with the general knowledge that everyone woke with. She knew what she was and apart of what tribe she belonged. Words filled her mind of certain things as well as a name came forth in her mind’s eye. Tanith. It was hers and she was proud of it.

Awareness of the world around her and of the limbs she had came quickly. She tested her paws and legs by trying to stand only to tumble about. Again and again she tried until she had gotten balance upon her paws. There she did it. Slowly she walked about the area around which she had awoken, exploring what she could with how her vision was. It was a slow process, but with patience it became quite natural. A tail gave a slight flick behind her at her success, along with a big grin upon her face. She was doing it!

“Ha!” she spoke as he exploration began. As the words came out of her mouth her grin grew. Although she was alone it felt like she was not quite alone. There was something else tugging at her inner workings. Something bigger than just her. Tanith knew that one day she would figure out what this something big would be, but at the moment she was happy just exploring what she was rather than to think about those complex things.

Now to find others that she could share her life with.

With her limited amount of site she tested her way through the rocky terrain. Each step as careful as the last. Walking she took in the smells around her, fire and brimstone. The uneven terrain was hard to traverse, her paws began to become sore, the roughness of the rock below taring into them. Moving as quickly as her little legs could take her she tried to feel about for an easier path, one that would be less strenuous.

Because of how little of site she had it was hard to find such a path, keeping her bearings and which direction she should be going was quite hard. The blurry monotone landscape did not help her in trying to find this path of least resistance. Instead she stopped her movements and closed her eyes trying to focus on the other things around the area. The sounds and smells.

Her ears did not pick up much, as she was quite still new to this land trying to find her way among it. Having been the first time she used them in this way it was odd. Although she was focusing on it, she could have swore she heard something in the distance, through the presumed quietness which had been in the area before she decided to close her eyes and focus on the sounds around her. The gentle whistle of the wind, the hard hissing of the hot air being released from the rocks.

Though when she tried the same with the smell nothing really changed. Fire and brimstone, was all she could smell. The only thing different was there was a trace of something else. Perhaps someone else. Maybe someone she could talk to, learn from. There, she decided she would go that way, maybe to find this someone, if they even existed. It would be hard, but she decided she would go in this direction.

Her eyes popping open she began to follow her nose, small steps at a time, as the terrain was quite rough.
