heart Saihoshi the Guardian. Have you heard of it or read it? Please comment on it. If you could pair up any one in Saihoshi who would it be? I would like to see the ripper and demon together. Most interesting name in the manga- Prince Anel- leave the pronunciation up to your own imagination. heart
domokun I will give 200g to the first person that posts besides me in this thread. Just PM me to let me know. heart
mrgreen There will be new chances to win gold in the future.
Opportunity #2 to get 200g. First person to post on page 2, PM me to get 200g. xd There is a friend of mine that may bump as she likes. Knowing her in RL, means I know her views on this book. heart Yami_FireKali

I've never heard of it....I'm guessing it's either some manga or an actual Yoai manga book thing, I forget what they're called. But, yeah, I've never read any Yaoi.

This may be a silly question but what drew you to be a member of the shouen-ai and yaoi guild? You seem to have litttle to no experience with the genre. (referring to your remark above.) confused

I just got my copy of it. I'm friends with one of the circles who had a story featured in it.
I'm going to be writing a review for my website in a day or two, so I'll keep my comments brief.
I love the artwork in the title story, and I loved the bits of humor they threw in. Very much looking forward to seeing more from that circle.
The seccond story in there I really didn't care for. I didn't like the art, and I thought the story was just kind of silly.
The last story in there I thought was great. It made me a bit uncomfortable, but I like stories that make me a bit uncomfortable. The art was fantastic.
If yaoi press keeps putting out quality work like this I'm going to have to change my opinion on them.

And the homor in the actual Saihoshi the Guardian part was really great. Like the story of how ripper got his scar/lost his eye, and the "torture" sequence with Anel. xp

Could anyone perhaps explain the plot? The title itself sounds rather interesting...

Ryoko-chan Could anyone perhaps explain the plot? The title itself sounds rather interesting... Quoted from the back cover. "The dainty Prince Anel must travel without military escort to a neighboring kingdom where tensions run high. Sastre, an honorable 'Guardian', is brought in to be Anel's only protection for the journey. Anel is enchanted by his noble bodyguard, but Sastre becomes more interested in Kaleth, the spirited servant and lover of Prince Anel. Kaleth is forced to disguise himself as Prince Anel to be a decoy for his enemies. Kaleth stirs up unfamiliar feelings in the heartr of the austere Guardian. Sastre finds himself torn between duty and desire."

I've read it (and only just got the thing about Prince Anel. Slow on the uptake, what?) and thought it was okay.
I preferred the short story at the end of the manga - Closed Flower. I thought that one was really cool, and the art was cute. Her style is simple and makes you think "I could do that!", which is always a cheery thought when you're reading manga IMO. smile
